Falan E: I came in last minute to purchase a used dryer. After seeing what the options were I settled on a new purchase. I’m satisfied with my purchase. I love this dryer, so far there have not been any issues. It came with a one-year warranty and the option to purchase additional from the manufacturer. The person who assisted me in the appliance store was nice and professional. I was a bit hesitant about the reviews but I had a good experience. There is a bit of a lengthy contract to sign for the delivery and no refund policy disclaimer that can be off-putting but I trusted the process. The delivery came maybe three days later (I was promised next-day delivery). There is a delivery charge of $100 if they have to go upstairs. Much more affordable on-ground deliveries. This delivery was much quicker than Home Depot when I ordered a washer machine. It ended up coming a day later than I expected because of their delivery truck having an issue but it was good timing considering other places I've been.

The customer service when we first walked through the door to when we left was wonderful. $1200 For 2 front loading LG washer dryer units with a small scratch on the side and wifi technology is a price you cannot find anywhere! We opted to pick up the units instead of delivery and unfortunately when the gentlemen was bringing it out to myTruck the hand truck slipped and the unit fellOver. He gave me his personal number and told me when i hooked it up if there was any problems to call him. I did and unfortunately a part was broken and it leaked. So i called him and within 2 hours he was at my door with a brand new washing machine! I have never received such excellent customer service and i would absolutely recommend to anyone because anyone can sell a product. But to correct an accident like that is awesome!

Agreed to purchase a fridge, went to purchase and work out delivery details, was then told a higher price than originally agreed on. After trying to explain the order of events and the price he told us originally was lower, he told us to go shop somewhere else because he doesn’t debate. Horrible service.

Sherwood Hill: They are good people and they do their best to help with problem you have. You know when you buy from them you already know that you are buying from them has been damaged so when you buy it you are taking a chance They will refund your money if you have a problem with it. Also if you take it back they will try to say it your fault. You are not getting a good buy. Do your homework before you buy from them and if you do you will see I am right.
Dr. Steve Raj: I bought 2 fridges from Zuhair for $700. He told me both units were Lowes returns. Turned out only 1 was and the other was a customer returned. In addition, there was a drawer missing and he told me that he will get one for me. I brought my own truck and they helped load it up and when i asked for the drawer, they said that it doesn't come with one after loading it up. After installing the fridge at the rental property, it was running but not cold. I called them back after 3 weeks, due to the fact that the tenant just moved in and told me that it wasn't cold. They told me that they are not responsible for it once it leaves their shop. This is ridiculous as i am stuck with a non working fridge now! Do not buy from them unless you check every detail and ensure that everything works prior to leaving the shop.

They said, "No problem". So we did. Now, a few weeks later, it is barely cooling and we had to throw out several hundred dollars worth of food. Do NOT buy from this place.
Darin Cox: I was surprised at all of the negative reviews. We found them through their Facebook Marketplace ads. We had a hidden dishwasher leak that caused about 12k in damage. After all of the repairs, $250 for a dishwasher sounded pretty good. We checked it out, and it was a $1k dishwasher in working condition with a slight blemish on the side of the door that you had to look closely to see.... a steal if it worked ok.So we went, and waited for a bit while they were helping other customers. They scrounged for a kick plate they thought would fit, and we took it home. We hooked it up and it leaked. Bummer. Contacted them via FB, and they said to bring it back the next day. They retested, and it leaked, so they were going to check hoses and seals the following day. They rechecked multiple times the next day and it did not leak, so we picked it up and took it home. At home we realized that the problem was the new tray we put in to protect from water going behind the dishwasher for no more hidden leaks. There were ridges pushing on the housing in the middle, which caused it to leak.. So it was our fault, not the dishwasher's.Throughout the process, Smart Buy was courteous and helpful, testing it several times, taking time to talk to us, and planned to give us our money back if it didn't work out.I ordered a new kick plate online, to match the model. A small price to pay for such a great deal.So again, I am surprised at the poor reviews, some of which didn't even purchase from them, but we're reviewing based on other reviews. Perhaps others aren't accounting for the fact that these are used, factory seconds, or floor models. Obviously you have to be careful, but you can get a good appliance for a fraction of the cost. In the end we just got a great looking, over $1k dishwasher that was manufactured 6 or 7 months ago for less than a quarter the cost. Will definitely look there again when we need another appliance.

I CHOSE to pay cash to get a better price for both appliances. I also chose delivery to my driveway because it was cheaper, but they also offer delivery to your house.my husband did the installation with no problems.The appliances were tested before I saw them in the store and before they were delivered to me. They works great because they are brand new!!!It was also delivered within the timeframe promised. This is a small business run by the owner almost alone. He did the delivery himself! if you expect 20 people catering for you like a big box corporation, this is not it!! Tyler Hepps: Drove over a hour and half round trip to buy what was advertised a brand new Maytag washer and dryer which is still up there. Sydney Golden: Went to geek squad to get my iPhone 13 Pro battery replaced which was quoted at $89. I’ve literally had this phone for just over a year and the battery is defective. I got there and I have a small crack in my phone and he tells me that I have would have to pay almost $450 for the crack and battery because they can’t work on iPhones without fixing everything that’s wrong with them. Then when I asked if they really can’t just fix my battery the guy says “well we could - we’re just not supposed to” and then doesn’t offer to help at all. Giant waste of time.

CS was helpful by disproving Isaiah suspicion of me stealing stuff. Then I asked his name and then immediately he tried to act smart with me by explaining his point instead of apologizing me of his actions. I immediately said ‘no’ and he replied with mean tone ‘have a good day sir’ at my back. Overall worst experience with Isaiah with handling the situation. Customer service tried to help me but Isaiah needs some training on how to deal with customer rather than acting smart with words and stopping them up front with a stance of snatching a bag if I try to leave. This is another review about mistreatment with another customer. Hopefully corporate catches this wrongdoing with his lowes customers.

They have order ahaed and pickup in the store or curbside pickup that usually works pretty well. As far as Lowe's goes, this is probably the best one in this area.

I feel people are working for money rather than doing what they want to do. Lowe's might not be Brian's dream job, but he made my experience as a customer more than satisfactory, because he acted like a person first, before an employee. I legitimately felt like I asked a friend to find something. he didn't go out of his way or nothing, but you can tell when someone does their job well, and he did spectacularly

Valerie Baker: We ordered an AGA range from Terri and were assured the range would be kept in their warehouse until our kitchen remodel was ready for it. Terri was very friendly and helpful, but she never mentioned any delivery cost. On the receipt the only mention is a line that says “COD Delivery/Install” with no price given. They contracted the delivery out to Pro Appliance. After the stove was installed Pro Appliance handed us a bill for $750! This was for an induction electric range with the receptacle already in place. They put the panels on the stove and plugged it in. We try to buy from local small businesses, but I am afraid the cost is getting too high. For the exact same sales price, there is a company online that will deliver AND install the same range plus include a two-year warranty for $49. One would assume that they are most likely contracting with some of the same installers and service pros. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with this company and would not recommend them.

Gwen Kuehl: Terry in the store is great and was really helpful in selecting the appliances I needed for my new home. Unfortunately, Distinctive Kitchen and Appliance World contracts with Pro Appliance to install the appliances. The installer flooded my laundry room because he didn't know how to install the wash machine. He started the washer and then left without making sure it was working appropriately. Additionally, Pro Appliance had to come back three times to get the dryer hooked up and finally had to send the owner of the business to do it. It is clear that the employees of Pro Appliance don't know what they are doing. I loved the retail experience but the install was a nightmare. You might do better going to Lowes.

Michael Daubman: I had a very urgent need to replace a fridge that unexpectedly broke. In an environment where finding high end refrigerators "in stock" is a nightmare, they were SUPER helpful. They worked with me on my requirements, their stock and even worked VERY hard to find a time to make this install happen ASAP. The install itself was great. I've had a few big-box deliveries lately and they prioritize speed. The Appliance World people communicated well, took their time and even helped relocate my old fridge to the garage to be repaired. The installer and I spoke a lot and he was very informative and lovely to talk with. I even got some great restaurant recommendations. They will be doing ALL my appliance needs from now on. 5 stars for sure!

When it arrived the installer immediately realized that the dimensions would make it protrude in a way to block access to kitchen drawers. I called Distinctive Kitchen and Appliance World and they could not have been nicer about accepting a return with no expense to me even though I'm sure they must have had to absorb the cost of the installer coming out to my property. This is a first-class operation. Great products, great variety, super service before and after sales AND they come through when things go wrong. I'd recommend them to anyone shopping for an appliance.

We had been jerked around by Wayfair and Appliance Connection - our "dream" oven delivery date kept getting pushed back and pushed back. Distinctive Kitchen helped us find the right fit for our family and delivered within a few weeks - not months - and we absolutely love the oven. Excellent customer service. Don't go with the "big box" Internet sites - trust these folks with your appliance purchases!

But they were able to check the delivery pipeline and provide hard details on when to expect the range. The time moved around a LOT but Terri was glad to keep tabs on it for us. The range actually arrived earlier than expected - in time for installation in our kitchen remodel.I called Terri back when it was time to make a decision on range hoods, and she made some great recommendations.You are also going to get a better price on extended warranties through Distinctive Kitchens - we purchased one for our Range.
Shana Lynn: Had a great experience with distinctive kitchen. Our dishwasher pump died and we were having trouble finding a new dishwasher. We wanted to replace our builder grade Maytag with a Miele but had a lot of trouble finding one as appliance are hard to come by right now. Ashley was super helpful both over the phone in letting us know which models they had in stock before we came out there and then in person showing us the features. Install was super fast (less than a week). The installer (who manages the showroom) showed us how the new washer worked and made sure we were all set and ready to go... all questions answered... before he left. Overall, highly recommend. I will definitely look back to them the next time we need an appliance (although I hope that wont be soon b/c I dont want another appliance dying anytime in the near future).

Xinran Li: The only contractor with Home Depot is ARS for installing new HVAC unit in Raleigh area. However, they provide really poor job.ARS installed a brand new HVAC unit at end of March. It has been repairing for at least 7 times wasted days of our time. As now, June 5, my air conditioner is still waiting for parts. The cover/hood left wide open. The manager Brandon promised us they will replace the cover and install the missing parts. But they never do. Brandon also ignores our call and messages. Till, it has been 6 weeks since we talk to the manager Brandon. Nothing has been done.Besides, the technician damaged the coil fins while they were "repairing" the brand new unit they just installed, and they are not promising to repair it.In the contract, they promised to refund and remove the unit within one year if we are not satisfied with their product and service. When I request refund, they just sent a technician, talk to you and promising to repair, which is something they never does.I heard ARS is a good company for plumbing. However, for HVAC installation and repair, they are not professional based on what they did, such as misconnecting wires during installation which damages the outside unit, failed to repair, ignoring costumers and not being responsible, not following the contract.

I was super surprised in the lack of intent to help or ability to resolve the issue. Instead he tried to sell me a hacksaw to make one cut. Super disappointed….

Daniel Marcus: Whatever you do, DO NOT order appliances from Lowe's.The delivery company usually doesn't call either to confirm the day before or to give a delivery window, calling is a joke; "longer than normal wait times" is the norm, usually over an hour. They broke two dryers in a row by carrying them in incorrectly, until they ran out of replacements and told me I'd have to wait "about a month" for new ones to come in. They also didn't hook up the water line for steam for the dryer even though I specifically asked them before they left if they had (they said yes they had).
David Hutson: They freely admit their inventory information is always wrong and can't be trusted. They've said this for many years and still haven't fixed it. I've been mischarged. I've been flatly lied to. Get contradictory information from different employees. The "mylowes" tracking doesn't register half my purchases. They have missed delivery appointments by 12 hours with no updates and 2+ hour waits to talk to someone on the phone or chat

Sandra Finnegan: I come to this Lowe's all the time and normally used to find people who actually helpful. Slowly it seems that the associates care less and less about helping customers. Today we were here for over an hour waiting in the lumbar department. The item we need required one of the lifts to get and we were told by the associate that he had two things to do and then would get our item down. We were waiting in the area with no problem for about 45 minutes and then stepped into another aisle for 2 minutes while they were still on the previous item to look at something and then came back and both associates that were there were gone. We went to the register and someone was paged and waited 10 more minutes and no one showed up. We literally wasted over an hour after being told that we would be helped and then the associates were gone. Most likely on a break but this kind of management and customer service is ridiculous and disappointing.

Josh Fulan: The sales and delivery people are friendly but unfortunately don't seem to know what they are doing. My washer and dryer were not tested after they were installed. My washer leaked substantially the first time I used it, and the dryer did not function correctly either. DAO sent out a tech to look at it, but everything the tech told me ended up being incorrect.They were certain that the unit itself was fine. After weeks of going back and forth with DAO and the tech, I finally scheduled an appointment with a tech from LG. Within five minutes of arriving, he confirmed that the issue was with the unit itself, and he was able to fix it in less than an hour. While fixing the issue, he mentioned that a step had been skipped by DAO during installation. I contacted DAO twice about the installation issue, but they never got back to me.In short, you will likely be left on your own if your appliance does not work properly upon delivery. I hate leaving a bad review for a small local business. However, my experience with DAO was absolutely horrible, and I cannot recommend them.

We found DAO through Facebook Marketplace, as we saw they had posted a deep freezer but figured since we have also been looking for a new washer/dryer we would just go check them out in person. The experience was great from start to finish. They were very attentive and made sure to answer any questions we had. They allowed us to take our time and weren't pushy - I wanted to read reviews and user manuals of the two appliances we had our eyes on before purcahsing. Since we went on a Saturday, there were no warehouse workers to load the appliances we purchased, but with my husband there, the three of them were able to get both our new fridge/freezer and washer/dryer loaded safely and easily into our truck. We have since told 3 or 4 friends about this place and are looking forward to returning when we are in need of the next upgrade!

Will Priest: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! I work really hard not to leave bad reviews. I think that most bad reviews are one of situations with an unrealistic expectation and are used to try and take out frustration of a business. I used this business for a dishwasher on a unit I was trying to sell. I spent a large amount on new repairs including new vinyl floors in the Kitchen. I made the mistake of not being present for installation but was assured before and after photos would both be sent (neither happened). Delivery was set for a first date, promised another date, and pushed again. They never called me and was only completed after I called them multiple times. During installation the new vinyl floors were torn. If these were not freshly installed I honestly wouldn't have cared except for an apology, but these floors were brand new! The official stance is that they were that way when they arrived and they will not do anything even though all I requested was for a refund on the installation. The lack of care, the not my problem attitude, the lack of follow through and follow up. You get what you pay for and discount is in the name.
Chantal McGill: I had a great experience! My fridge was broken and I had my food in a cooler. I saw a fridge on their website that I was interested in. I called and they were super friendly. They talked me through the process and the cost. I went in at lunch time and picked out a fridge. It was exactly as the website described. Although their delivery schedule was already tight, they went above and beyond to make sure I got the delivery the same day so that I wouldn't have to go any longer without a refrigerator. They even walked me through how to use it and gave tips for getting it cold. I really appreciate it and am very happy with the fridge I picked out so far. It had a few small dents but otherwise looks brand new and is working great. If you need delivery, installation, and haul away, just call and they will walk you through the prices.
Lars Capener: Bought a GE Washer/Dryer Laundry center from Troy. He was very friendly with big promises when you buy (but you don't see the terms "No REFUNDS" until it is on your credit card receipt after the sale. When there is a problem, he avoids your calls, send the GE warranty service to fix, when they say it is not covered under warranty, Troy says they took pictures of it before it left and inferred that I must have caused the damage. The dryer drum is rubbing against the wall from a dent. Then says we can go to court or solve it like a man out back. Dishonest, not honorable and BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK as Troy will not stand behind anything, except your money. Troy's responses to dissatisfied customer don't sound like someone who will get many repeat customers.
Joseph Soldani: This was without a doubt the best experience I’ve ever had dealing with an appliance store. Multiple big box stores failed to provide us a refrigerator after purchasing, going as far as missing the planned delivery date and following up with a 20 day wait before their next attempt. We went to the Discount Appliance Outlet and the owner delivered a refrigerator himself, and on the same day of the purchase. He also matched the original sale price from Best Buy all the while providing a better warranty. I would recommend this store to any one in need of an appliance. I know I’ll be going back for a garage fridge soon.

The person in the store was unauthorized to make a sale without consulting the owner. They assured a call back. Days past and I called them and finally got a callback a week later. We agreed on terms and I got an install scheduled for July 20.Installer (owner) arrives gets the old machine out and new one installed to test. Error code comes up that could not be resolved. I inquired about other options but everything was sold. The only diagnosis was an error code indicating to contact whirlpool. A week later we had a service person come to perform a warranty repair. They needed to order a kill switch. It took over 3 weeks to get the part. They come back to install and it is missing a $2 bracket to install the switch. 11 days later we have a working dishwasher.We were without a dishwasher for about 2 months. The savings was not worth washing a lot of dishes by hand for 2 months. Also if we bought at a big box store they would have replaced the unit much sooner. I did also inquire about an additional discount for my trouble, but only received snide remarks from Christina. Needless to say buyer beware. If you want an unprofessional amateur experience then discount appliance is the store for you.
Thomas Smith: First of all they charge ten percent taxes which is illegal. Also I paid for delivery and the items were not in the condition that I bought them upon delivery and we were told that if anything was wrong that we could refuse delivery. The gentleman not only was rude to my spouse after we spent over two thousand dollars for a washer and refrigerator that looked like it was bought used. He also wanted to give her a guilt trip about his foot being hurt and how he lives in a camper behind his work place which has nothing to do with the condition of the appliance s that was purchased with my hard earned money. I am a father of three and I have videos of this gentleman refusing not only to take them back but also left them right in my driveway and didn’t even bring it close to the house. This is a husband and wife scamming duo. After this tandem got me for my money they talked to me in a demeaning manner and would not fix the issue. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau and government for fraud be careful!!!!
