Bond Brothers - Eastside: what do users think?
Chaz Himes: Great little place for a drink and amazing music.
Tracie Thomas: Saw Dexter Moses quartet there. Great small venue for live jazz!
Cheese Slap: I really want to keep BBES a secret, but that would be a massive disservice. It's best described as a hole-in-the-wall music venue that serves Bond Brothers beer. And it's the best-sounding room in the area, no question. The sound techs are great, the bartenders are great, the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and there's always something worth drinking on tap. And that's before you get to the sheer insanity of the talent on stage, almost every night of the week. This is absolutely the place to go to hear and be heard. And every time I go, something's a little bit better or a little bit cooler.
Judeth Hopkins: Very nice! The bartender was great very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Bluegrass Band very much. The 4 stars came from no fan on the patio it was very warm. But I would definitely recommend dog and kid friendly.
XIANG HUANG: Enjoyed the beer and the jam session tonight!
Robin Mehera: It was a sunny Sunday and a holiday weekend. We wanted to grab a beer and hang with friends, landed here. The location is in an old shopping center in between a lot of Indian and Asian restaurants. They have a huge parking lot with random frisbee golf stations all over. They had plenty of seating inside and out. Also a live bluegrass band so inside was too loud. The service is very good and super friendly staff. The beer is ok, far from the best in Raleigh. They do have some chips and peanuts for food but that’s it, however you are welcome to bring food from outside.
Honey Music: Nice place, great bartender(s), saw top shelf live music as well!
Ben Miranda: Came here and had a great night. Lively atmosphere with live music and a good crowd.
Tracy Kerley: What a PERFECT evening with Sidecar Social Club at Bond Brothers Eastside. Terrific venue for music! Food truck made it so FUN. Friendly staff, amazing band. Just a perfect evening! We'll be back.
Ian: Eastside is Cary’s hidden gem for music lovers. You have to know it’s here - in a converted warehouse and with a stage. The beer carries over from the main Bond Brothers site a mile or so west, and there is a limited amount of supporting wines and soft drinks. The main attraction is a number of resident bands playing different genres on different nights. It also has an outside terrace, which is great in the warmer months, and might actually have impromptu musicians jamming while the other musicians are on stage.Friendly, talent, and beer….. pay it a visit
Cameron Joyner: Great Music - Steven the sound guy is hot
Jaime Lassiter: Great beer, music, atmosphere... will definitely keep up with their music schedule...
Kat: This is a place for music and community serving excellent beer. So what if you’re getting 12 oz instead of 16 oz? Beer gluttons can fill up elsewhere. On Sundays there’s live bluegrass beginning at 5:00 PM and then musical community members are encouraged to jam. Check their website for other musical genres and performances, including the cost. Yes. Not all of the live music is free.Go here for an authentic good time, and enjoy the spacious west facing front entrance patio, all in an intimate setting with REAL people.HINT: There are several quality ethnic restaurants and a little grocery store a stone’s throw away if you’re hungry or want extra virgin olive oil from Lebanon.
Richard Warriner: We went there for the music on St. Patty's day. They weren't serving food but there was a food truck outside offering pizza.
Samantha: Really tasty beer. The atmosphere is cozy with the nicest employees. I really dug it and will be back.
Brandon RA: Awesome atmosphere and good beers
Ken Ray (mrkenray): Nice little music venue. Lots of great Indian cuisine next door! Handicap parking and accessible floor plan.
Ted Queen: Great music venue for cozy settings. Beer is good too.
Angela Bingham: This is a stellar venue for listening to live music — the sound is spectacular and the drinks and overall vibe are seriously on point! And I’m not just saying that because I play music there! It’s truly a wonderful venue. Cary is lucky!
Tony G: First timer to the spot for music and beer. Beers are good. Solid acoustics. I shall return!
D P: 12oz beers, not epic

Nancy and Stan Music / Sandbar Rollers Band: what do users think?
Suzi Harris: Sandbar Rollers played our class reunion earlier this year. They were so much fun and they catered to our requests. They played background while we ate then cranked it up for singing and dancing. After they finished playing they hooked up their cell phone so we could keep dancing while they packed up. Everyone had so much fun. Loved them
Mike Knight: We hired the band to play at a small party and the were great. We composed some modified lyrics to a well known song in order to better fit the theme of the party. They accommodated us and entertained us all with a great mix. Highly recommend.
Hope Hale: “Our annual Lions Club Christmas party was a great success thanks to the wonderful music, humor, and accommodating ways of Nancy and Stan. Our members sang along to the Christmas songs and danced along too. I have never seen our members ‘cut the rug’ like they did, but the way Nancy and Stan involved them just gave them the motivation needed to really relax and enjoy themselves. We will not hesitate to ask them back for our next event, and we thank them for the last minute changes needed to make this dinner enjoyable.”Bob Steepe, President Fuquay Varina Lion's Club 12/12
Jennifer Latino: Nancy and Stan played my mother's retirement party and they were the hit of the party! They were delightful to work with! I provided some ideas of favorite songs and bands and they crafted set lists that matched the mood of the party and appealed to guests of all ages. My mom retired from the Disney company and they surprisingly threw in a few Disney classic tunes! We will definitely use them again for future functions.
N T: These 2 played for our wedding and I'm sad to say it was a complete rip off. I tried to ask them to play for longer because $450 for music they didn't even know how to play was outrageous. We figured they would be great for 2.5 hours at $450 but they sounded nothing like the website. I usually don't do reviews, but I don't want anyone else to be stuck in the same situation we were at our wedding reception. It was embarrassing.
Kristy Lowther: We hired the Sandbar Rollers for our Wedding Reception in June 2008. They were professional, easy to work with, and very accommodating to our requests. The music they played was a wonderful variety and had our guests all out on the dance floor. Everyone had a great time! I highly recommend them for your next wedding, corporate event, or private party.

Your Mama's New Boyfriend: what do users think?
Ben Bloom: For starters, this Raleigh-based band has the best name! It always elicits smiles & laughs from friends whom I tell about them. Their eclectic set lists showcase the range of these highly skilled musicians:Taylor King on guitar & lead vocals, Randy Soare on guitar, lead vocals, harmonica and a variety of other instruments, bass spanker Jared Rodegast, Jed Johnson on the keyboard, new addition Shimer Gradus banging the drums, and Robert Kerns' axe grinding is downright mesmerizing. My favorites of their covers are Sly & The Family Stone's "I Want To Take You Higher" - boom, lacka, lacka, lacka!, Lenny Kravitz' Are You Gonna Go My Way, and a decadent mashup of Hard To Handle (the well-known Black Crowes version of the Otis Redding 1968 original) and Deep Purple's Hush.If you get the chance to catch a YMNB show for your first time, you're in for a joyful party!

Cary School of Music: what do users think?
Rob F: I recently finished a semester of taking voice lessons at this school. I had a great experience with one of their teachers, and I'd like to address an earlier review from Lily:"...but when my work schedule became more intense and I couldn't make my lessons, Cary School of Music charged me anyway. They will not refund the money and will continue taking drafts out of my account until the end of the semester. That means over $500 in charges for no lessons at all. This school is not understanding that things come up in life..."I completely disagree with this review! Note that the school's policy of requiring students to commit to their set time schedule of lessons *in advance* was communicated clearly up front. You do not have to sign their agreement and provide bank details if you don't like that policy and can't see yourself committing to it steadfastly. This is a fair policy that respects the teacher's time commitment. Teachers are not automatons, like vending machines dispensing a product. They are human beings with a skillset that is in demand by many in the community. They commit to the same exact schedule that the student commits to - in advance. If the student can't make their slot(s), the teacher would not be paid if the student expected a refund for their missed lesson. That is simply not fair and, furthermore, the teacher *could* have had a different, more reliable student agree to that same time slot up front, which would have guaranteed that teacher the set income that they have an expectation to rely upon, as any skilled professional would for their valuable time. Furthermore, the school itself has upkeep/admin costs and have a right to expect that the slots of time for the use of their building and resources are paid for by all students, whether they can attend at the times they agreed to or not. When a student can't attend, that revenue would be lost unexpectedly if there were an expectation of a refund - and again, that revenue *could* have been guaranteed had a more reliable student committed to those same slots of time.I highly recommend this music school and I completely endorse their payment policy, mainly for the sake of the teachers who are their most valuable resource.
Joel Williams: Cary School of Music has the best qualified teachers of any music school in the Triangle Area....the atmosphere is great for both CSM students and their family... young children advance rapidly in their skills due to the outstanding teachers at CSM...truly a five-star music school on any scale
Amy Brantley: Cary School of Music is wonderful! My children have been taking lessons at CSM for years and have had wonderful experiences with their teachers and staff. Over the years, they’ve taken piano, flute and violin lessons. Their teachers have all been highly skilled, well-trained at leading music institutions, and share a passion for teaching and music. The staff is friendly, flexible and accommodating. I highly recommend CSM.
Brittany Jones: I have nothing but positive things to say about this school! The people that work there are equally passionate about music and children. I have seen members of this school, teachers and students alike, come together to use their talents to contribute to the local community through volunteer performances for local festivals, as well as at nursing homes. They put together choirs, string ensembles, bands and more. They really care about their community home.My daughter is in her 3rd semester of piano lessons with her teacher, Colin M. She is 5 years old and can not read words yet, but she can already read music thanks to her lessons. And the biggest testimony to her music studies is that it is the highlight of her week. She adores her teacher and just lights up every Friday when lesson time comes around. If you’re looking for a positive music experience for your children, look no further!
Catherine Keefer: CSM is the best! I took flute, piano and voice there as a high school student. They have the most friendly staff, and I loved all of my teachers. I also really enjoyed performing in their recital hall. Highly recommended for all ages!!!
Annika Christensen: I have been going to this school for a very long time, and I have gone from someone who couldn't do anything but sing and randomly play an out of tune guitar with no idea what I was doing to singing and playing Green Day as well as Dodie (she is literally impossible on the ukulele, so that is a crazy thing to say) Chris Boerner is my guitar teacher, he plays in multiple bands and for artists. He is the best guitarist I have ever personally seen, even better than those at concerts. Michael (for some reason I'm blanking his last name right now) is my voice teacher. I have so much fun in his class and my singing has improved SO MUCH! I completely recommend this school!
Tania Prezas: Good school. We have a really wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable and flexible. They organize recitals, a music festival.
Denise P: Speaking from painful experience, regarding specifically strings lessons, do yourself a favor and keep looking elsewhere!! This is not the place for you, if you want your child to develop in any meaningful/timely way, I couldn't believe the difference we noticed for our daughter till she switched to another place. The amount of advancement she made in the brief time she has been with the new teacher compared to this place/teacher is day and night. I feel like we got cheated on the precious time to develop with our daughter (while young). When you have another teacher to compare to, is when you realize the string teacher a this place was literally wasting 5-15 minutes of your child's class time every single time with superfluous things (like filling out his notebook etc). The amount of solid, quality teaching we are getting now as opposed to the lackluster, at a snail pace she got from this place is remarkable COMPARE COMPARE COMPARE is all i can say, don't waste your child's valuable years at this place!
Lily Brannigan: I am part of a family that has to work more than one job to do the things I want in life. One of the things I wanted was to take piano lessons, but when my work schedule became more intense and I couldn't make my lessons, Cary School of Music charged me anyway. They will not refund the money and will continue taking drafts out of my account until the end of the semester. That means over $500 in charges for no lessons at all. This school is not understanding that things come up in life. They operate in black and white and cannot see that life has more gray areas than not. I do not recommend this school unless you simply have money to burn.
Jennifer Fruend: Great school! I wish we had known about it sooner. My daughter has learned so much in only a few weeks.
Cary Desi: Pros: Very convenient location in Cary Downtown. They have a lot of teachers and options for our child to attend at different times.Cons: They will ask you to draft monthly payments from your checking account and SOMETIMES DOUBLE CHARGE your account. Please watch your account carefully if you enroll your child here. When we noticed the double charge and contacted them, they promptly refunded the amount. What if we had not noticed?
