The very first time I walked in, I was in awe of the beautiful decor and greeted by the friendliest owners ever. John and Natasha helped make our dreams come true from over 4,000 miles away. It's a beautiful, elegant venue with the option for indoor or outdoor wedding/event. BUT the CHANDELIER TEAM is an AWESOME group of people to work with. They are flexible and accommodating. They provided suggestions/ideas and were open to our ideas as well. And the food....OMGoodness! Very flavorful, hot and delicious. Eggrolls are a MUST. I can't say enough about them and their customer service. PRICELESS!

Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous and has a vintage feel to it but the house itself is a fantastic place to take photos. Originally planning to have both our ceremony and reception in summer 2020 at the Matthews House, Covid required us to radically change our plans. Sarah was very accommodating and allowed us to hold a small outdoor ceremony on our original 2020 date, and we had our full celebration and reception the following summer of 2021. Heather was instrumental in helping us coordinate our big wedding ceremony and reception. She walked us through the amenities provided by The Matthews House, coordinated with our vendors, and made sure the night ran smoothly. The Matthews House itself is gorgeous and was the perfect size for our 100-guest event – not too big and not too small. Both the interior and exterior of the house exude a classic, timeless spirit that is amenable to just about any wedding theme or color palate. We could not have been happier with our choice of venue!

Ken Ray (mrkenray): A lovely spot for any formal occasion. I was surprised at how much parking there was. And there was accessible parking, too. The interior of the house is smaller than it looks from the outside. But there is ample space in the dining hall behind the home. I would say the only drawback to this place is the fact that there are too few bathrooms for a venue that accommodates this many people.

Meredith Sherrod: We had our wedding reception at The Matthews House in August of 2022! I looked into about 20 wedding venues around the triangle in 2021 when we were planning, and TMH was definitely the best value. The game changer was having a wedding coordinator included in the venue price. Heather was ours, and she was fantastic. She and Sarah, TMH owner, did everything they could to make sure our day went smoothly and fit our vision. We were so happy with how the day turned out. We got ready upstairs that morning, took pictures on the beautiful lawn, then had the ceremony at a church nearby. We came back for cocktail hour and the reception! We had 130 guests and the ballroom fit our group well with room for a full dance floor. Everything you really need is included in the venue rental price - tables, chairs, basic linens, etc. We were able to choose our vendors off a preferred vendor list, and use folks who were not on the list too. This really helped with our budget. Truly the perfect day and the perfect venue. Highly recommend!!!

Every room is very unique and large enough for all the guest to spread out. The porch is a great place to kick back and relax for a minute. Fresh beautiful flowers were strategically placed throughout the house and outdoor areas. This venue exceeded my expectations in every way. There is a separate area where the makeup artist could do her work, it was well lit and included two nice vanities. This wedding was for 100 people, I didn’t not feel crowded at all. I would definitely consider having an event here. THE STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! Everyone was so nice, courteous, and professional.

Kelly Sosna: I used Sugar Magnolia last month to cater an event. I am just posting now because I have been waiting for a response from them. Unfortunately they did not handle my request well and I feel they deserve a poor rating for providing such poor customer service. The short is, I would not recommend this company. The long story is below...The food was good. It was well presented and on time for the event. We specifically requested a vegetarian dish and discussed it over the phone in detail. Luckily the person who found the chicken in the dish was not a vegetarian so I was able to let people know that we did not have the vegetarian option as promised. It was very disappointing but mistakes happen. I called that night and left a message letting them know of the mistake. I followed up the next day around noon when I had not heard back. My message had not been heard and so I explained the error. At first I was told that they did not recall needing that dish to be vegetarian. As the call went on, I was told they were unsure so added the chicken just to be safe. The company had my direct work line and my cell number and I felt could have called. I let them know I felt we should be credited something for the error and was told they would call me when they got to the office. Six days later I forwarded the initial phone call where I placed the order, which included the vegetarian dish discussion. I said I felt they should do some type of refund. I did not hear back, so I called today, 9 days after the email. I was told they could do free sides for our next event. I let them know I work in customer service and based on how this has been handled have decided we would not be using them again. The call went downhill from there. I let them know I was not asking for a full refund but feel we deserved a credit of some amount for the mistake. I was unable to finish a sentence and ultimately decided that it was not worth the time and ended the call.They did say they emailed me back, offering free sides for our next event. I have searched all of my email folders and have no email from them.I would not risk using this company for any event.

Gamera The Destroyer: This venue lacks all proper staff, management, and knowledge in hosting events and I cannot by any means recommend this for any event. The owner tends to find any reason at all to take money from security deposits and likes to involve police in the smallest and most unnecessary situations in order to avoid any confrontation whatsoever.

Ms Rodgers: 10.10.20 was the Wedding Date and I reached out to Jessica at Goels Plaza on 10.02.20 due to COVID our options were few, but Jessica quickly got us in showed us the venue and gave us our best option to insure we stayed within the CDC guidelines, she then proceeded to guide us in what we would need and offered any services provided by them that would aid in making this the most elegant event ever. And it was that an more, Jessica and Goels Plaza turned my daughters dreams into a reality the ambiance of the facility was excellent (Jessica added her special touches) everything was clean and everyone felt safe and we had an awesome time. If you have an event coming up even during this pandemic please please do yourself a favor and call Jessica, you will not be sorry.

Tamam Cares: Paramount Venue was a pleasure to work with for our event. They were accommodating, available, friendly. The venue itself is beautiful and didn't need much more decor from our end. The spaces are useful and well laid out. Parking is plentiful and easy and the location is great.

Shannon Whitehead: Paramount was the perfect venue for our wedding! It's gorgeous and easy to customize, and we also loved how the large parking lot made things easy for our guests. Planning a wedding from out of state wasn't without challenges, but the staff at Paramount worked very well with my mom and helped us smooth out details for the day. The end result—from lighting to draping and everything in between—was beautiful. Thank you so much to the Paramount staff for all of your help and hard work!

Alejandra Morales Alfonso: Such a lovely venue in a prime location. My husband and I had the honor of working with Jennifer and hosting our wedding reception here this past summer. The getting ready rooms were elegant and comfortable. We utilized the entire venue and this allowed our guests the feel the natural flow throughout the day. After cocktail hour, our Mariachi led the guests into the main ballroom and the drapery in the room became the focal point prior to the wedding party entrance. From the chairs to the lighting and drapery, the "small details" can truly transform a space. Both of our families are from Florida and either drove or flew up, so the proximity to the RDU airport was truly the icing on top.

jocelyn flores: Worst place ever. The White Russian or finland lady manager was sooo racist and rude. Not worth the money. She even made the customers clean like they were slaves made them mop like 4 times and more racist actions. Also the Russian or Finland lady manager told racists comments to the kids. She should get fired. Don’t waste your money.

Selena Flores: Worst event ever not wort 8 thousand that you pay. Staff and manger are the worst to work with kept interrupting the party!!! They are really Racists. Would never recommend this location
