alison ponn: Great beer and wine selection as well as seltzers and ciders. Also interesting variety of items on tap. Seating inside at the bar and tables, plus outdoor tables in front and out back with umbrellas. Dogs are allowed inside. We came Saturday at 3:30pm and there was free wine tasting which they apparently do every Saturday 3-6pm.

Jeff Taylor: This is our go-to hangout when we are in the area (typically during soccer practice at wake comp). The rotating beer and wine selection is pretty, and they have an assortment of other canned beverages. Staff is always friendly and it's never too crowded. Could use more outdoor seating, though. Overall, a good bottle shop.

They weren't busy, so I'm not sure why we didn't get at least a "Hello" or "Can we help you find anything?" We left without buying anything and probably won't go back. The selection appeared smaller than what was available through their website.It seemed very clean and the space was nice. They did have beers from several local breweries.

Kristen: Great variety, good quality. Clean and organized store. We were from out of town and asked the employee for help finding something specific. He was genuinely friendly and tried his best to help although they did not have the specific item we were looking for. (Not surprising because the item was more of a gas station stock.)

I would come back. It is relaxed, chill, and a cool place to unwind.

If draft isn’t your style, they have two coolers to pick out beer from.I saw many different styles in there as well.Also, they have a huge selection of cants/ bottles to take home. I personally found a couple of cans from a cool brewery outside of Charlotte. So all-in-all, definitely a cool place to stop by.

Not an expert on beers but the selection was fairly decent and the staff very friendly. Good for groups as there's plenty of picnic-table seating both indoors and out.

The food is seasoned well and, for what it is, exceptionally tasty if you can overlook the hyper processed, low quality feel of it. This place is everything that disappoints me about American cuisine. But if you’re drunk and thinking of going to Pizza Hut you can find a spicier, much tastier wing here.

Stellan De Santis: We worked with Nikki and the other staff at the Waverly Place location to plan a surprise birthday party for our grandma on 6/19/22. Not only did Nikki help us pick out fantastic wines, she also went above and beyond to help us set up for the event with getting snacks, decor and flowers for the table. We had such a great time in their private event room which was really affordable. We ended up picking 6 wines and doing a blind tasting where we had our family guess where the wine was from and the price. It was really fun and interactive. We will certainly be visiting again soon :) Thank you to everyone who made our grandma's birthday so special!

Tables, wine and beer taps and a TV in the back create a nice social atmosphere, where you'll see familiar faces happy to welcome a new acquaintance or folks enjoying the big game. Their weekly tastings (most Saturdays from 12-4 pm) are always a nice time to come in and get a feel for the shop.Now, about the service...Kurt and Justin have spent years curating relationships with small producers and their distributors across the globe to bring us unique wines in every price range. They're happy to help you find a wine to pair with your next cooking occasion, and are very considerate about choosing wines in your price range (mine is modest). The man helping me (not sure if he was the owner or regular employee) was quite rude, and he asked me if I was going to come back if he ordered a case for me. I assured him I would, gave him all of my information, but I was never contacted. I’m a very loyal customer whenever I feel a place appreciates my business, and unfortunately this place won’t ever get my business because of this.
Jeff K: This place is a hidden gem. The staff are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate people in the wine business. They have a great selection of natural wines and the store is brilliantly merchandised. In addition to a great selection of wines from around the world they have a small but well curated collection of craft beer, cheese, balsamic vinegars and olive oil. This is exactly the kind of place every town without a great wine shop wishes they had.
