Ricky Taylor: In June I applied for one of the assistant manager positions and was offered the job by Ms. Wainright, which I accepted. I received an email to fill out all the employment paperwork and I completed all forms within a few days. I was suppose to start the second week of July. When I called for my schedule, they said Ms. Wainright would call me back. I have not heard back from anyone. Is that how you should treat potential employees. I’m sorry to share drama like this, but people should know how they operate at the Raleigh West Marine Store!

Already purchased from another vendor and repaired the boat. I was told I can't cancel my order because it is shipping but still no shipping info. They let me know I could return to the nearest store 2 hours away. I guess I can pay shipping again to send back if it ever comes.

However, the team at Inland when above and beyond to make sure we had the boat back before the weekend and it’s running like new again. Maurice stayed in daily communication on the status. Thanks Maurice! I have to say if you buy a boat from them they take great care of their customers both on the service and sales side.

Meredith Jeffries: The hyco lake inland service dept was a disgrace. I took my boat there and dropped it off on Tuesday morning when they opened.they stated they had no work lined up today would jump right on it. Told me it would be done by Thursday morning . Well it wasn’t I understand stuff comes up and I am a very understanding person. Called Thursday after work it still wasn’t even started on. By this point I’m getting a little frustrated. It was done early Friday morning and done company wrong and in a hurry wires left unhooked and just a sloppy job all together. Left the piece of equipment just hanging on other wires to fall down had it zip tied just a complete disaster. After we pick the boat up we’re going down the road and notice something not right we look back the tower has fell down and completely bent the bar. It was not locked back into place witched caused the wind to break it going down the road. Called them to speak with someone who pretty much acted like they could care less. Proceeded to tell me there was nothing to be done by them from their mistake . Sends us video of us picking the boat up and in the video you can clearly see it was not locked back into place. It was the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a business who is supposed to be a class act to the boating community at hyco lake.

And will was equally patient when he delivered the boat to the lake. He spent as much time as we wanted leading to use all the 21st century features as well as giving us tips for storage, docking, etc. I feel like we could call with Jimmy or Will at any time with a question or concern. Completely unnecessary to see if a boat is even close to affordable.So next you try to decide the cost by the monthly payment estimate they show you but even that is stupidly misleading because if you read the fine print it's expecting $25,000 down! $50,000 down!

We're complete novices, so we have relied heavily on the support offered us by the outstanding team at Inland Boat. We bought a boat we could enjoy with the family, and it has been a great experience, from Jimmy in Sales, to Tommy in the pro shop, and Maurice and his crew in the service department. Knowing this is our first rodeo, they've been exceptionally helpful in training us, and offering guidance along the way. We had them winterize the boat, and recently had our 20-hour service completed. They've gone out of their way to expedite service and get us back out on the water again. They make us feel like a part of the family here, and we are delighted to have shared this new-boat-owner experience with each and every one of them.

He put it back together and it runs better than it has since I bought it. I would recommend R&K to anyone needing an honest opinion and quality mechanical service.
