Pascual Goicoechea: My wife and I required an entire back deck rebuild, and an expansion of same. We asked four contractors to visit our home and provide an estimate. Two contractors did not even show up, even though they made an appointment to do so. The third one showed up, but heard not a conceptual word of what we desired. As a result, (his) estimate for the work was $50K dollars.....plus.Sanity, experience, reasoning and a desire to work finally showed up on our home, in the form of Cardinal Buildings, LLC. Lawson, the owner, sat down with us, and for over an hour (we) discussed ideas on how best to accomplish the deck and design we wanted.....all with top grade wood support, and a top of the line composite decking. The deck, encompassing approximately a 20' X 20' area, with two (2) stairs leading down to a ground level, was completed in under a week. The reason it took a week was because we experienced two days of an artic freezing rain that rolled through the area. The carpenters Cardinal employs are skilled masters of their trade, and the crew present here for this build has worked alongside one another for over a decade.Being retired from a lengthy military career, it is very, very encouraging to come across nuggetts of excellence still prevalent in our Nation. I tried texting a few times but no answer. At least should tell me that they did not want the business so I could find someone else.
