Theatre Academy Productions: what do users think?
james h: Love the show!
Terri Raines: My shy, reserved, apprehensive now 13 yo first attended a Sat afternoon workshop with TAP five years ago (2018). He walked out of the workshop saying “sign me up for EVERYTHING!” He has since done at least 10 full performances, several semester long classes, lots of summer camps and he has started working as a teacher’s aide. He has developed a philosophical voice, a singing voice, a sense of community, along with a solid commitment to his team, all thanks to the amazing staff and directors at TAP. I have zero doubt that he is well supervised and in good hands when he is at TAP and I have grown to rely on them as part of my parenting “village”. His significant growth in the arts is just a side benefit.
Sandy Rinaldi: Minus ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! Shame on thiese people! These are children and all children are not the.same. This is an acting class and acting is subjective. To try and expel this child through devious and passive aggressive methods is cruel and unkind. My message is that this child is just as beautiful as all the children in the class! It is truly their loss. There are many kind and good people in the world who will accept and be blessed to have your child in their midst. It surely is not this group of “ mean girls’!!!!!😡😡🤬
Michael Quinn: It took a lot for me to post this review. I never write bad reviews and I hope to never again. In summary, the owner Kevin and Michelle the artistic director are just not good people at all. I just could not stay silent. My daughter started their beginner acting class end of January. She is 7 and had been waiting years to be able to start. After 2 weeks, I thought everything was fine until we got an email that they didn’t want our daughter back. The main issues, she was hugging and kissing other students, had trouble focusing the whole hour, and spoke out of turn. We were shocked by the email and knew this wasn’t the place for her. It was just a beginning acting class and she was having so much fun, so we called the owner and worked it out. We did speak with our daughter about not hugging and trying to stay focused. My wife went the following week to help her, and everything went fine. Next week a family friend went in with her and it went well. Still received emails from the owner, making sure someone would be with her. In the fifth week, my wife didn’t go in but watched. She was starting chemo next week and knew she couldn’t do this every week. We thought it went fine, watching her the whole time and when asked the teachers how it went, the only response was fine until the end she got tired. Then here comes the emails again. This time there were a bunch of lies, she pulled up her skirt, which my wife made sure she was wearing pants and tried to hug someone again. They told us they knew my wife had started chemo and insisted we find someone to assist her in class. We knew they just wanted to get rid of her and we had enough. I had to break my poor little daughter’s heart. She cried and cried she could not go back. I am sure they were happy. My daughter wasn’t as good or obedient as the other students. I don’t know about acting classes, but I played a lot of little league sports. We had kids that scored goals for the other teams, couldn’t throw a ball to save their life, couldn’t stay focused, and were just horrible but no one ever said a thing. Their kids just having fun and trying to learn something new. Now this place could have a great program and produce great performances; however, I don’t care, they are despicable.
Irena W: ❤❤❤❤❤
Allison M.: My daughter did a camp at TAP this past summer and absolutely loved it. It was her first time doing theater and she learned so much. The show the kids put on was amazing and we were really impressed with organization and the directing. They were on the ball! She liked the efficiency and seeing the "real results" of the show. She is begging me to return and wants to do more!
Lindsay Wrege: An amazing company!! I was an audience member, but it was so clear there is a real community across TAP. These people love each other, support each other, and are proud to share the spotlight with each other. Way to go TAP!
Rebecca: TAP has been an incredible experience for my daughter. She has been involved in 3 different theater groups, and this has been her favorite! The staff and teachers are the best I’ve seen! They always put on amazing shows. We highly recommend TAP to any of our friends interested in children’s theater!
Kathleen Christensen: Being a part of TAP has been one of the best experiences for our son. The instructors are enthusiastic, supportive, and make every session fun. Its a positive and uplifting environment where the kids encourage each other and form tight bonds. We have been impressed with the quality of the productions and the talented actors. TAP is the best!
Landon Carson: TAP is an amazing place for children of all ages to express themselves and get creative! I would recommend it for all children, whether they want to build an acting resume or build confidence!
Jorge Santoyo: TAP consistently puts on amazing performances. The students and staff seem to absolutely love every moment of it. I haven't missed a show since my little sister joined and won't be missing any in the future. Highly recommend!
James P Farrell: # 1 best best experience for your son or daughter. As part of the TAP family, you will find your student will learn and grown so much! The teachers are amazing and wicked awesome, that blend high expectations, love, and care for the kids. TAP is professional from top to bottom, then see a performance and you will be completely blown away!!!! We love TAP and everything about it.
Claudia Casco: TAP has been such an extraordinary environment for my daughter. She is not just learning amazing theater skills, but life skills like team work, respect, generosity and a passion for hard work. She found at TAP a loving community led by wonderful staff.Amazing productions, we cannot be happier!
Christine Macomber: This group continues to amaze me--they put on incredible productions and the children have so much fun and are so supportive of each other. The people that work at TAP are really wonderful. This group has had a very positive impact on my 7th grader. So grateful to be a part of TAP.
Christina Johnson: Just finished our second production with TAP, and my daughter is already asking to go be in the next! The staff fosters a wonderful positive atmosphere during all rehearsals, classes, and performances. They put on quality shows and the kids really are learning not only about theater, but about self-confidence and team work. Highly recommended

Starbright Youth Theatre: what do users think?
Evie Hornak: My now 8-year-old daughter has been having a wonderful experience this past year! This is a great match for us, as it is low-key, supportive of beginners, and definitely fun. All of the instructors and owner are so kind and wonderful. Very positive and supportive. We drive 35+ minutes across town to have theater here. Also it appears the one-star reviews were at a time when they were converting and upgrading the website. Starbright has grown so much that they relaunched their brand last year and upgraded their website.
Valerie Moody: My granddaughter was 7 years old when we joined Starbright. She is now 9 years old and her passion and love for theatre, singing, and acting has only increased. This experience opened up a whole new world for her, giving her confidence and teaching her teamwork. She is always sad when one production ends and cannot wait for the next one. She will be with Starbright for many years to come. Ms. Karon is the best!
Megan & Steven Kohne: Starbright has been such a wonderful theatre home for my kids. Their confidence has soared in all aspects of their life because of the experiences they have had here. The shows, the camps, the talent within this studio are all amazing. Both my kids are hooked. We drive 45 minutes one way multiple times a week just to be a part of this place because there’s nothing like it in our immediate area. It’s worth every dime and every mile to watch my kids blossom on stage.
Melanie Bryant: My daughter had a wonderful experience. She is hooked!
Morgan Henderson: When I typed Starbright into Google maps I was surprised to see the star rating was low. Once I checked reviews, I noticed it was all 5*s from people who have been there. The 1* reviews are based on the website and the outside of the building. SYT is a small business that opened in 2020. Don't be too quick to judge the place based on a new website and a strip mall location. The real magic is in the experience, confidence building, and the performances. This place has been wonderful for my daughter and many other children.
Stephenie Wilson Peterson: My kids have had so much fun with their classes and camps! This is such a great place for kids to express themselves and make friends.
Mary Allan: It's awful, the website doesn't work on mobile. They force you to accept cookies without telling you how they'll use them. If you click Register, you're taken to another site with a totally different class. No details on what kids will do? How many seats have been sold? What's the cancellation policy? There are no photos of the place. I won't send my kid to a place where details are hidden.
ForDarshan Desale: When I attempted to register my child for the upcoming Frozen class, I was redirected to another class for Annie kids. Payment plans were previously available, but I am no longer able to find them. I am also unable to access the new website on my mobile device. Also, when I viewed this location from the outside. It appears to be a terrible situation from the outside. Now I understand why the owner has not uploaded any photographs of the interior and exterior of the property. Not worth giving kids any experience in this location.
SPY Chrissie Yeh: Starbright Little Players is our kids’ favorite place on Earth (direct quote from our 6 and 8 year old). Theater brings out even the shyest of kids into a world of potential, dreams and opportunity through fostering their cognitive, emotional, and social skills. A theater is only as good as the team and Ms. Karon’s immense dedication and love of both theater and kids has conjured an incredible force. Her passion finds and brings out fullest potential of each child, resulting in parents’ happy tears at every performance. My children have built confidence, learned so much about performing arts and most of all, forged incredible friendship with other kids! We look forward to participating in more productions at Starbright Little Players and working with Ms. Karon and her incredible talented crew Ms. Alli, Mr. Ethan, Ms. Valerie, Josie, Riley, just to name a few. Highly recommended!
Sarah Doodle: Top notch directing choreography assists a very talented group of kids put on amazing shows and the singing - wow!!! My daughter loved working with them as did my son - they are amazing caring - HIGHLY recommend - on many levels - as a parent and as an audience member

Cary Players Community Theatre Company: what do users think?
val mackay: Very nice small town public theater, well worth the time to see a play or musical
Hommy: Beautiful theatre and Fiddler rendition was professional and awe-inspiring at every level - acting, orchestra, lighting, sound, costumes.A lot of mask-wearing audience members but most without and they are not stipulated. (Strange how mask mandates ended a year ago but it has a stronghold in Cary, NC. An actor even came on stage wearing a mask, then realized and removed it.)
Terence Smith: I enjoyed the size of the theater. All seats are acceptable and very reasonablypriced. Unlike large theaters that require opera glasses to see the actors in economical seats. The acting in the play was enjoyable. We will definitely go again.
Joseph LaCava: Wonderful rendition of Clue. Mr Green and the Butler stole the show!!!
Ken Lake: Great show, reminded me of the old radio shows
