Catherine: I used Chasen Concrete for our pool decking around our pool and our sidewalk to access the pool. It is a stamped colored concrete patio with multiple levels and it is stunning! It's a rather large patio deck and was a big project, so it took several days of forming. Each and every time the crews were here, they were on-time and worked really hard to get the job done and done right! They installed stone around our spa, installed a waterfall feature, installed travertine coping, and formed and installed a stamped colored concrete with very straight saw cuts on a diagonal. Everyone who sees it comments on how pretty it is and I agree 100%. Every step along the way of this huge back yard project went well. There were a couple of delays because of rainy weather, but the communication from our pool company, Rising Sun and Chasen Concrete was excellent. mary bolin: While the guys worked very hard (and the driveway surface is beautiful) their work was very sloppy. I have picked up nearly 30 nails in the street by my driveway and ditch front as well as in the yard. Last thing I need is a nail in my tire or foot. I have gathered up half used water bottles, wedges of wood from the framing and other various trash they left behind. Not to mention concrete chunks everywhere, the excess dirt and gravel was supposed to be spread at the end of the driveway to allow access to the back yard if needed. However, it was not. They left my water spigot running which I discovered 2 days later. There are places in the concrete that were not filled properly. I am not an expert but I believe over time it will cause cracks from weak spots and the weightof my van. It will also allow water to get in and erode the concrete. I wonder if the rest of my driveway looks like the sides underneath. I didn't complain when I was told that the front part of the driveway would be 15' wide instead of 18' without a refund (during installation) because I had hoped that would be put into making the area with the excess dirt usable and finished looking. As we discussed prior to installation day. I have never seen a drop off so high around the edges of a concrete driveway. It's as if they didn't take enough dirt from the driveway before pouring the concrete. It has created a dangerous drop off for my vehicle and children. If I miss and fall off the edge it will bottom out my vehicle. Additionally, the lower part of the driveway is so narrow there is no room for mistakes backing out. They could have made it a few feet wider to prevent an accident. Originally they scheduled my project for 2 days due to the size of the job. However, I was later told they were only taking one day. I believe they rushed through my project and the end results left a ton of issues. They probably should have done it right and took 2 days. I have discussed my concerns with the project manager whom promised to fix it; but then silence for over 2 weeks. I didn't want to leave a bad review. Everyone was extremely nice and they worked really hard. However, I find myself very frustrated with the end results. I paid a lot of money for this driveway (cash up front & no discount). I expected the work to match what I paid for. I expected better from a company referral from Angie's List. Extremely disappointed!Service:Driveway installation

Steve inspected the garage floor and foundation and assured me that he'd be able to do the repair. He answered all my questions and explained in detail how the process works. His crew spent almost the entire day carefully injecting the leveling material and it could not have turned out any better. The garage floor is no longer sagging in the center or sitting on 1-3 feet of air due to extreme soil erosion. Prior to starting the repair Steve cautioned me that cracking might occur but they were so careful throughout the process that it never became an issue. They didn’t pick up the cheque the day they finished the job, then they wanted us to pay online with extra fee for CC or checking, we told them check is ready for pick up and they didn’t want to pick it up, after that they sent us a link online to pay with $40 extra charge for late payment , why late payment? it was only 2 days after they finished the work! we told them we are going to send them the cheque, they said we still have to pay the late fee. We had to called them to have this discussion and finally we ended up paying online with extra $10 fee even it wasn’t our fault. Not a good experience, they make us feel like we didn’t want to pay! Upon completion of work we discovered a mixture of cement and dirt piles dumped in our back garden bed. These should have been removed from our property at the completion of the job. Sadly no response from the company when this was addressed. Additionally, the color of the border was supposed to be darker and yet it is the same color as the stamped patio. We paid a lot of money to have this looking the way it was discussed so I'm pretty disappointed with this outcome. Again, no response from the company. Lastly, there are jagged edges that need to be sanded down and again no response from the company to return and complete the job. It's so sad to see business done this way with no regard for professionalism and making wrongs right. I would not recommend this company if you want a project to be done completely and professionally with good communication throughout.

Kent Miller: DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR - READ THIS REVIEWI contacted TrulyHome concrete to install a backyard patio. I was surprised to find that the TrulyHome team did very little to prepare the ground in the backyard for pouring the concrete. They raked the dirt where the patio would go with minimal effort and did nothing to level the ground or put any other materials down (i.e. gravel, more dirt, pvc piping, etc.) to create a sturdy foundation - this is a standard procedure. The team never interacted with me when they showed up to do work, and only relied on email communication throughout the process of laying the patio. They left their equipment in my backyard for several days, damaged and scuffed my home siding and left cigarettes throughout the yard. These were red flags that I made a mistake selecting this company. It was only after the concrete had been poured, stamped and sealed and I was allowed to walk on it that I noticed how uneven the entire patio was. At this point I had paid half of the amount owed for the job and the remainder was due after the file seal was done. I was told the patio would be graded down from the house into the yard so as to prevent any water from settling near our house foundation. This was the exact opposite of what actually happened. Instead, the patio slopes toward the house’s foundation and water began pooling within minutes near the back door and pouring through my crawl space vents. I contacted TrulyHome when I noticed this and the owner, Tim came out to take a look. He was completely unwilling to admit anything was wrong with the grading and insisted the problem that I noticed was out of his scope. When I tried to turn the hose on to demonstrate what I was noticing, he accused me of intentionally flooding the patio to make a point. From there, he reluctantly said he would call a waterproofing contact to come look at it. Tim and his waterproofing contact came back together the same day but never interacted with me. After the waterproofer left, Tim told me the the work was fine and he demanded full payment for the job. He was very rude and confrontational and made me feel very uncomfortable - the is NOT how you treat a customer. He refused to leave unless I paid him and I asked him to leave my property at this point! I considered calling the police but he eventually left. I’m sure Tim is used to people paying him in full due to intimidation - and reading the previous poor reviews I see this is the case - but I refused since the work was graded incorrectly. A few days later, the owner filed a small claims lawsuit against me demanding full payment for the work done. What kind of company sues a customer who refuses to pay because the work was done incorrectly in the first place?! I went to court, defended myself before the judge and won. I did not have to pay the remaining half of the job cost! Unfortunately, I was unable to recover the amount I had already paid to TrulyHome. It has cost me thousands of dollars in addition to what I paid initially in order to fix the patio in my backyard. This experience has been an absolute nightmare and this company should be out of business. To anyone reading this review and wondering if they should use TrulyHome, save yourself the trouble and learn from my mistake. Pick a different contractor to perform whatever work you need done. I have NEVER had to deal with a contractor who was so incompetent, who refused to repair a faulty job and then had the nerve to take me to small claims court. DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR.

They were professional, efficient, and good humored. Sandy Lee: Tim and crew addressed drainage issue from old driveway and corrected the flow of water away from the house. He also removed a huge hump. It’s so nice to have a smooth ride down our driveway now and to have a larger sidewalk landing at the front entry. The crew were professional, friendly and very skilled.
