The owner tends to find any reason at all to take money from security deposits and likes to involve police in the smallest and most unnecessary situations in order to avoid any confrontation whatsoever.

Ms Rodgers: 10.10.20 was the Wedding Date and I reached out to Jessica at Goels Plaza on 10.02.20 due to COVID our options were few, but Jessica quickly got us in showed us the venue and gave us our best option to insure we stayed within the CDC guidelines, she then proceeded to guide us in what we would need and offered any services provided by them that would aid in making this the most elegant event ever. And it was that an more, Jessica and Goels Plaza turned my daughters dreams into a reality the ambiance of the facility was excellent (Jessica added her special touches) everything was clean and everyone felt safe and we had an awesome time. If you have an event coming up even during this pandemic please please do yourself a favor and call Jessica, you will not be sorry.

Tanya Z: Carla was very communicative throughout the process, which helped alleviate a lot of wedding planning stress. I loved the history behind the venue, which is what attracted us to making the decision. Even with the L-shape of the room, they were able to make adjustments so all of the guests would be able to see us from their seat. I used my own vendors, but I would highly recommend using their preferred vendors to make the process a lot smoother. Everyone was also very professional and friendly. For such an affordable value, it very well worth it!

Carolina C. Alford: The Venue is spacious and has ample parking. The flower decorations were nice. The location is not very clearly signed and dwells among several other businesses, so its confusing. No answer when called about parking accessibility. The entrance has several flights of steep stairs, not good for lots of aging folks around. The catering of the event was poor (quality of food, its temperature, portion size, attitude of servers and their untidy appearance). Not good general logistics, one serving station for over 100 guests!). No fresh fountain of drinks. No napkins or fresh cups to serve water. Disappointed.

Cachet Douglas: This place is beautiful. But you are not allow to rehearse inside the venue or decorate without paying an extra $500!!! After paying the amount of money asked you should be able to decorate/ rehearsal the day before. They are wanting their customers to practice outside the venue and that is not acceptable!!

Sianoah Rivera: We recently had our daughter's sweet sixteen celebration at The Royal and were very pleased with everything. We toured the venue three times for our event; once to book, once with our planner for layout, and once with our DJ. Our planner and The Royal worked well together and once we reviewed the contract and details, it was an easy transaction. Payment processing and email communication was easy. Our vendors worked well with the venue as well. The space itself is bigger than it looks. There is a mirror on the wall where the dance floor is located, which seems odd. However, it did wonders for videos and pictures, especially pictures. it was a great unexpected detail. The area for the bar is ideal as well. The ice machine space is a bit odd, but we were able to work with it. Lastly, the a/c temp was our only issue, since it was a bit humid the day of the party, we requested to lower the temp twice. We were accommodated and all was well.

Danielle Taylor: Recently had my ceremony and reception at this location. If you are looking to have your wedding and reception here its a safe bet but you must be flexible. This venue allows you choice and options The person we toured with, vs the person that we handled paperwork with, vs the person who was actually at the event are 3 different employees. The person you tour with is kind, knowledgable and pretty flexible. The person that you handle all of you paperwork with is Carla. She isn't the easiest to reach, nor is she flexible, and chances are high that things will change on a whim just because Carla says so again please be patient and flexible. The person that will be present while your event is happening is laidback. The only thing about this is that Carla, will send you an email way after the typical person (sent within the same week of my wedding) has done their final headcount and highly suggest you feed the person that is clearly working the event as just eyes and ears for The Royal Banquet. Overall, would I do this again yes but be patient and flexible.

Khaleeqa And Tywone: I absolutely love the Royal Banquet Hall & conference center! The staff is amazing they provide clear and prompt communication. This venue is very flexible with a lot of space. We held our wedding reception and ceremony here and the rooms and spaces are easy to flip.I would recommend this venue to everyone I know over and over again. Our guest gave a lot of compliments as well on the venue.

David Simmons: Dance competition held there. Very wonderful people working for the center. Very cold in area for the event, which was good for the dancers.Fun fact, no outside food allowed. There is an attached Marriott to the center, but discovered that if you purchase a soft drink in the Marriott at the bar next to the door to the convention center, you will not be allowed to take that soft drink into the center. I ended up having the most expensive 1/2 soft drink ever, as I had to throw away my beverage in order to go inside to watch my daughter's dance.Another fun fact. Seems that parking in the deck on weekends is free. This was a wonderful unexpected treat. Check on this one before parking though.

Class rooms are set up well, conducive to learning and have all bells and whistles (technology speaking) to help as well. A wooded parking lot take your choice of area for your car/camper/truck, bus etc.., a/an FCFServed venture. Self supported and pioneering for camping, tailgating. Only 1 1/2m to the stadium with bus rides to the stadium every hour (gotta check that but it’s all day) so it might be by the 1/2 hr. All of this is by way of fan support, as in: UNC helping the fans get to the game! Free parking, camping and more!My apologies, I sound like I’m in sales for UNC.I’m just trying to give a huge honest GO HEELS!

Alicia Arceneaux: I attended a Kinly event here and the space is amazing! The natural light just pours in and because the space could become open air those of us who were vaccinated were able to be mask free. Beautiful space and I could definitely see a wedding here being absolutely gorgeous.
