The changing room has an assortment of amenities except for hairdryer which is not permitted. Been twice now for retreat massages. The couples room is very comfortable. Taylor is an excellent massage therapist.UpdateAlways excellent service. Love the lounges. We go big and get the 90 min retreat massage. It's worth it. We also book 3 months in advance to get preferred tech on days we can take off. Their retreat offerings are not posted online so I finally took a photo to share.

Danielle MacLean: The atmosphere was great at the spa and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my actual facial wasn't great. I didn't receive the paraffin wax treatment that was supposed to be part of the package, and I've had multiple areas of folliculitis that occurred as a result of the extractions still persist for weeks after the facial. The esthetician's advice also directly contradicted some of my dermatologist's advice, which made me a little concerned about the "custom" aspect of the facial. Overall, I'd go back again but maybe for a massage or other treatment.

J K: This place is AMAZING!!!! I haven't been to many spas in my life - the only other place I've been to is a couple of Hand & Stone locations - but this Spavia location blows their aforementioned competitor out of the water. I went in for a facial and a hot stone massage today.Spavia felt more a like an actual *spa* in comparison to Hand & Stone. Once you arrive, you undress and change into a robe that they provide you and you place your belongings in a locker. From there, you sit in a waiting room (the "retreat" room) filled with fake candles (real ones would be a huge safety concern), ambient music playing, complimentary tea (with many different flavors!), and heated neck pillows. The waiting room felt so relaxing and I almost drifted off to sleep with how calming everything was! The neck pillow certainly didn't help. Lol What I noticed - a stark contrast between Spavia and Hand & Stone - is that Spavia did its best to set the "mood" before I entered my massage room. Hand & Stone just sends you off to your session without creating such an atmosphere.My masseuse, Nicki, was absolutely fantastic. She was very respectful and attentive, and asked how I was doing every so often. She went over the medical information I entered on the form before the session started, and spent a lot of time on the problem areas I pointed out. The hot stones she used weren't too hot and she even used them on my arms and legs - something I didn't experience at their competitor! She lathered me in lotion - not enough to overdo it, but enough to make me feel soft and silky. I honestly cannot get over how much I enjoyed the experience provided by Nicki - the hot stones felt so HEAVENLY against my tense muscles!!! It was absolutely divine!!! She also did some glute compression exercises that helped release the tension in my hips. I felt so much looser (not sure if that's a word, but whatever) after this massage. Thanks Nicki for a FABULOUS experience!Now I can't forget about my facial! My esthetician was Claudia and she also did a great job. She was very thorough and took her time applying the different products to my skin. I originally scheduled myself to get one of their more intense facials (an acne peel), but because I used a prescription cream with Retin-A in it within the last couple of days, Claudia brought it to my attention that that wouldn't be a good idea (to do their more intense facial). I sincerely appreciated her bringing this up; otherwise she warned me that I could have had a bad reaction (e.g. a drawn-out, severe, peeling episode). Yikes! I really do appreciate her bringing that up to me - I honestly didn't know! She recommended a gentler facial peel that they had and I took her up on the offer right away. She even informed the front desk receptionist of this change on my behalf. Claudia was very personable and apologetic, especially when she did the not-so-fun extraction part of the facial process. It was a little painful, but she did her best to get the dirt out of my pores! My face felt refreshed and silky-smooth after the facial was over. My experience at Hand & Stone, meanwhile, left me with a very dry face after the session ended. When I am in the Cary area next time, I am definitely going to try that more intense facial I missed out on!!!I really had a wonderful day today thanks to all of the wonderful ladies I met at Spavia. A HUGE thank you to Nicki and Claudia for doing a wonderful job!!!!If you are in the Cary area and ever need a day of relaxation, you can count on Spavia to give you the experience you need!

The front desk person was really friendly and helpful.They provided a nice comfortable robe and slippers to use during the services. The locker room was equip with showers, towels, lockers, and some toiletries if needed. The retreat room was cozy with water and tea.I tried the salt stone massage which was heavenly. I loved the warm temperature of the stones and the grittiness from the salt felt great on the skin (and exfoliated). Alisha was amazing. I loved how she took the time to understand my likes and any aches, pains, etc. She was pleasant, massage pressure was great, and i felt safe and welcomed. I definitely will be back. 🙂

I walked in and was met with two unfriendly women who clearly did not have interest in providing services to me. My sister had purchased me a gift certificate this past summer (which apparently expire ?!) which is the only reason I had gone. I had requested chrome gel nails and an acrylic set put on. I was told, as I sat in an empty nail salon, they did not have time for me. I looked around at the empty chairs not sure what that meant. My set was put on and I was asked to choose ANOTHER color than what I had picked. They again told me they do not have time to provide me the services I wanted. I was also told I should make an appointment although it says no where online appointments only. I had called several times to no answer so not sure how appointments are booked at this incompetent place.Overall terrible experience. I paid $30 for nails that are incomplete and will never be returning. I will now have to go to another nail salon so I can have them completed. Staff is rude and does not value their clients.

John McNeill: When in for a facial and it was great. The lady who did the facial, Alysia was very professional and did a wonderful job. It was very relaxing and my skin looked a lot better.I would recommend this to anyone.

Nene: I used to be a regular here (Nail side). Great location, never a wait, staff used to be friendly. Two of my favorite nail techs moved and service is not the same. The manager likes to argue with clients. She's the "hey girlfriend type" that honestly gets too informal for my taste. I tell her I want gel, it's "no you don't want gel you want..." I tell her I want acrylics or change my mind about a polish color...whatever the situation she blows it out of proportion into a salon wide embarrassing ordeal. The last time was my final straw. After almost 3 years of being a satisfied, monthly client, I refuse to go back.

Lynn S: BEWARE! Given a $35.00 gift card (paid for in cash) but misplaced it. When found it, I noticed that it had expired (only given 6 mo. on card). Have been in twice to see owner. No luck. Today I asked for a phone number and was given a number that was out of service. Left waiting at counter for 15 minutes but manager would not give me another phone number. How can gift card paid for in cash EXPIRE????? Sign at counter says something to the effect that a good referral is the best compliment - well they're not going to get any from me!!!!

The only way to describe a massage session with Kevin is to say it is a pampering experience!

Prakhar K: I booked an hour long deep tissue message for my wife seeing the rating was very high for this message center. I also added some add ons like scalp message and foot message thinking they will do them after the 1hr deep tissue message was done. They charged me for 1hr deep tissue message and for addons separately but they ended up clubbing everything together in one hour which led to a pathetic message experience. I would highly suggest anyone looking to get message to NOT visit this worst message center as there are many better message locations in RTP area and this is the last on the list.

Lewis: I was a member for roughly 10 years. During that time I accumulated quite a few "free" massages because you receive one every month and they tend to build up. It's quite difficult to schedule the better therapists unless you book far in advance and have a very flexible schedule. If that were my only complaint I'd give 3 stars and warn that it's only a good deal if you have an extremely flexible schedule.Unfortunately it's much worse than that. About 5 months ago the credit card I had on file expired. I was too busy to book massages during this time so I didn't know. They never contacted me.When I finally found time to book an appointment and called them I discovered the issue. I rectified the situation immediately. I gave them an updated card and paid for the intervening months. They assured my that the massages I'd built up would not be lost since I had done this in lieu of simply canceling. My credit card statements back this up. I paid in full for the intervening months so they didn't lose a dime.I recently found a decent therapist and started going regularly again. My "free" massages were intact. A therapist actually commented on how long I'd been a member and how many I'd accumulated.Things were excellent until the other day when I had to cancel an appointment. I called to apologize, told them I understood the cancellation policy and would be happy to honor it. I asked if I could use one of my accumulated "free" massages to cover the missed appointment. The attendant told me I didn't have any. I said there must be some mistake and attempted to explain. She immediately became defensive and rude, put me on hold and finally a manager answered.By now I was rather irritated and late for the emergency that had caused me to cancel the appointment in the first place. Nevertheless I tried to explain and was shut down. She just kept repeating the line about how my "free" massages had been canceled. If she'd listened for 10 seconds I could have given her the history, but she clearly wasn't interested. I ended the call asking her to review my account history and decide whether they wanted my business or not and to call me back. She never called back. I called the next day to tell them to delete my credit card info and make sure that my membership was canceled.I could easily win in small claims court. They owe me the value of about 10 massages or about 10 months of membership dues. It's not worth my time though. I'll just take my business and my decade-spanning customer loyalty somewhere that appreciates it.They have a few fantastic therapists. If you find one then by all means go see them. Just don't buy a membership or give them a credit card to keep on file. They are not a reputable business.

jose puello (Jm): Don’t sign up for membership in this place, nice staff, good service however owners/managers would to take your money without giving back the value, so I sign up thinking I was going to save some but end up paying more then I wanted to, they said you will not get charge till you use it, but I got charge 69.99 then I got a service since I already pay for it after the session I requested to cancel but they told me that the manager needs to approve the cancelation WHY? Manager didn’t need to approve for a new member so why to cancel, then waited till next day to confirm manager approved cancelation, they said they will email the cancelation email, never got that email, called again and they said that is has been cancelled but i will get another charge again 69.99 for a cancelation fee/ another month no getting the value they offer

Moon Roy: The services are ok not bad but with the new management since Dec/ Jan, I feel they are not keeping a track of the finances and accounting well. I bought promotional gift cards during thanksgiving, now the promotional gift cards show 0 balances and I was not notified also. So basically they charged me for buy 1, get 1 promo service but with the shift of management, something went wrong in accounting and communication and now both my gift cards show 0 balance, me without even using the services or packages. They neither did any refund in the past and nor honoring the two gift cards anymore.. this is cheating!!!. Last week, I booked an appointment for a massage. Same week someone called me from Hand & stone to say there is an earlier appointment available, so I went ahead and took that. I switched as they adviced , but they charged me for no show for my original appointment. This is unacceptable!! Now I went ahead and checked all my credit card statements and found even after cancelling of membership, they charged me for 2 additional months. Never had such issues with previous owner and management. Everything was well communicated and thorough.. This is not the kind of negligence and poor service a regular customer would expect.

Robin Donegan: I’ve been going to the Cary location for years. In general the staff is great and majority of the therapists wonderful. Rooms are clean and tables quite comfortable.Big complaint continues to be lack of comfortable temperatures in the massage/facial rooms. I’ve complained a few times but no change. Why? Can’t imagine turning the heat up a degree or two will break the bank…I’ll continue with my membership for now but wish their commitment to excellence transferred to listening to their customers!!

Elena Mast: The therapists are great here, the problem is scheduling and management. It is impossible to get an appointment unless you’re lucky enough for a waitlist spot to open. Don’t bother getting a membership, you can’t ever use your credits. I have a gift card that I have been trying to use but most likely won’t be able to use it because you have to schedule 3+ months out. Use a small personal massage parlor and support small business instead of this chain.

As a working mom it’s very difficult to be able to schedule so much in advance. I guess this comes with popularity of the place. Reshuana is an amazing masseuse…highly recommend her.

Amanda Muentnich: I have been using this location for years (I would say 8ish years) as well as my husband. The last year has been very difficult to stomach. The therapist are not a problem but the scheduling and management are terrible. Recently I have to schedule months in advance and thats very hard as a working mom. I would love to speak with the owner about my recent experience. I just know this is not how they would want their spa to be represented. At least that's not how they ran it for many years. Unfortunately for everyone I believe it may be time to part ways.

Melissa Merrill: My massage therapist, Corey, was great. Management is the problem. Was contacted this weekend about more than 7 months of membership charges being charged to someone else's card. I felt like I was being accused of doing something illegal. I provided a valid credit card number, so I don't know what happened to it or who was paying for my services. You should watch your credit cards very closely if you are a member here.
