I was super impressed with the hygienist who was so calming and they even asked about possible barriers to care which is so important. Dr Wooten and the hygienist took the time to explain the plan of care and why. They also are willing to do nitrous gas for my upcoming procedure. So amazing thanks you guys!

Samantha Jones: I have been going to this dentist for about two years or so. The hygienist and assistant have always been great.The admin / office staff have always been impersonal and treat you like a number. I thought this practice would be more personal since it’s not a large corporate practice, but unfortunately the admin is set up just like a large office.Every time I go in, there are always several admin / office staff but they aren’t really doing anything with the customers. The customers fill out the information online.The last straw occurred this month. I had my normal appointment scheduled and received a request to update my insurance two days (Thursday) before the appointment. I filled out the forms Friday night before the appointment on Saturday. When I clicked the link to complete the forms, the notification said I had until Monday to complete the forms.When I arrive to my appointment I am told that they haven’t verified my insurance yet so I either have to pay in full or reschedule. They could have called that morning to tell me that before I drove to my appointment.Well now that they have verified my insurance and submitted a claim they refuse to refund the amount until the claim is processed which can take a month or two. Why do they get to keep my money despite submitting a claim to my insurance? This is not a reputable way to do business.Find another dentist that doesn’t treat you like a number and actually cares about the patients versus just taking your money.

Emily Richardson: Took my 5 year old son here for the first time (new to the area). My son has been to another dentist where we used to live. My son has autism and was nervous and this group handled my son with a lot of patience and care. My son felt comfortable and the hygienist was super nice and answered all of his questions. Dr. Kim was very throughout and I felt he was very clear and transparent and showed me areas on the teeth and on the X-ray where we needed to brush better for next time. My son also got a kids tooth goody bag and they let him pick out a few fun prizes including a small Lego kit that he was so happy about. He talked about how much fun he had at the dentist for the rest of the day!

Will F: Very unhappy with Dr. Lee and his associates. My wife, son, and I had been going there for about 2 years. My son's baby teeth were slow to lose so we had been asking Dr Lee if they should be extracted to make room for the adult teeth. We were constantly told no, let's wait. We went to another dentist and they said they needed to be removed immediately. My wife had a cavity and we were told we would see how it does instead of filling it. I had a cavity filled with amalgam and just found out that most dental clinics phased out using amalgam in the 1990s. They are behind in their dental approach and do not practice preventive dentistry. I definitely do not recommend.

Daisy: I was looking forward to it after seeing the review. But it was very disappointing. It's unkind and not meticulous. Dr. Lee is very busy treating several people at the same time. I've had three treatments here. The same problem was repeated in the treated area, and I decided to go to another dentist. It's a waste of time being treated here.

Anyways, what brought me into this establishment was a extremely painful situation around one of my wisdom teeth. Not only did they make snarky comments on my pain level, they went as far as treating me like I was pill chasing ( primarily from the assistant)Little did they know, but I have been clean and in recovery for over eight years. So if you're thinking of coming here just know the kind of people you're dealing with. I'll pay the bill for today because it's the right thing to do, but will NOT be going back for any further procedures. In this day in age a bit of kindness goes along way. Especially when you paying for a service!!

David Pearce: I was up all night with a throbbing toothache. I knew my #31 tooth needed to be extracted. I’ve been putting it off. My dentist was closed on Friday so I started calling around. This dentist scheduled me in at 12pm. Great!I arrive for my appointment. I was called back by the assistant. I had an X-ray taken and then the dentist came in briefly to say he had to finish up with a patient in 30-45 minutes and then he would extract my tooth. I’m in pain. I’ll wait.He comes back in 20 minutes and says he needs to numb me up. I requested no epinephrine be used because it increases my heart rate and makes me feel like I’m going to faint. I’ve had 2 extractions without epinephrine. He left the room. A few seconds later the assistant came in and said I needed to go to oral surgery and they would refer me.At this point I’m questioning why my tooth is not being extracted. The dentist saw my X-ray and said he would extract my tooth. That’s why I waited for him.The owner came to speak to me and mentioned the dentist was new. Ok? Then he said there was no time to extract my tooth? Then why did you tell me to come to your office? I called about an extraction. Why did the new dentist tell me to wait if he couldn’t do it?Very bizarre experience and waste of time. 2 stars because the owner was apologetic and the staff was nice.

Amanda: I had a cleaning done here in December 2020 as a new patient. My husband recommended this place because he has been going for years. The place is so run down and it was hard to understand what was being said to me by the front desk receptionist, doctor, and dental hygienist. After my x rays were done, the dental hygienist told me that I needed a deep cleaning and I opted for the regular cleaning instead until I get a second opinion from a different dentist. Fast forward 6 months later, I went to Royal Oak Dental Group to get my cleaning done today and both the doctor and hygienist told me that my teeth are good and a deep cleaning isn’t needed. Needless to say, Cary Lee was just trying to make money off of me at my first visit. We will not be coming back. My husband and I have switched to Royal Oak and it has been an amazing experience. People are nice, the office is well kept, and the office is located closer to where we live.

Irene Kim: It was my first time to go to Dentist in Raleigh (second time in US). Visiting doctor is already a negative experience and worried how it would go. Overall, all the staffs in this office were so caring and helpful!From the challenges with my insurance, to continuous questions on the procedures, they really heard me and treated me with empathy. They were also honest about practice. They did not pressure me with any extra procedures which might happen in many dentists, you know who😩 I had a cavity just started to begin and doctor advised me to take good care of it and once it gets bigger we need filling. That gave me trust on their judgment.Anywhere in the world, it is very rare to feel heard while you visit doctors who usually are v busy all the time. Everyone was very welcoming when I arrived. Needed to brush my teeth since I came straight from work; and they had a whole setup in the bathroom which was extremely convenient! My dental assistant was quick and friendly, and once the doctor came in we were ready to go and the procedure was super fast. Payment was an easy process and I was scheduled for my cleaning and out of there. Will DEFINITELY go back to this office for all of my dental work.

Haley Gray: My daughter had a miserable experience recently at this practice. She reported to them that she has a fairly rare connective tissue disorder, and as such- can have a hard time getting numb. (It also affects other things - like gums bleeding, and can also affect the surface of her teeth. ) Apparently comments were made about her "drug seeking" Um- seeking a nerve block for dental procedures? Seeking to not be in pain?She was told that she needed a filling to replace an old filling.She told them about her medical condition, AND brought them in the information about what works, and what does not.She went in this week, and they tried to numb her up- and failed. She told them THAT SHE WAS NOT NUMB. She then got poked in the gums and told the dental assistant AND dentist that she could feel everything.Apparently the dentist proceeded to do the work wihtout making sure that she was OK with this.WHAT IN THE WORLD??? How is this acceptable?My child left the office in extraordinary pain, and threw up from pain in the bushes behind the office. Then she proceeded to cry for over an HOUR before eventually managing to drive herself home.She was in excruciating pain for HOURSI want to contrast this to another local dentist who was treating another of my children with similar issues. When the kiddo didn't get numb, we regrouped, and came back another day for a nerve block, took ibuprofen before the appointment, and used the laser. The dentist didn't proceed with a kid who was not numb.BEWARE! Yes. I am in mama bear mode. And I am LIVID. This is totally unacceptable on MANY, MANY levels, and has traumatized my child beyond imagination. I am HORRIFIED that this level of barbaric treatment exists in this century in this country.HORRIFYING.

A J: If I could give them 0 star or negative stars I would have.I have used their services for the orthodontist treatment by Dr. Deborah Bassham at BRUSH AND FLOSS ORTHODONTICS, Riccobene Dentistry.Experience with Doctor:a) The doctor was barely present in entire treatment, and did no supervision. She paid no attention to detail.b) The doctor bad mouth other doctor's treatments with patients, and she goes on about it often. So unprofessional.c) The doctor pretends she cares but she does not.d) My teeth were hurting so bad with Invisalign. She was rushing to expedite treatment and had put a plan to change tray every week. The buttons on my tooth would continue to fall out, were too thick that pulling out trays and putting back was extremely painful.e) Initially, we had some appointment setup issues with this doctor, where as doctor was expecting some paperwork from my dentist which was not needed/ was already sent. A big of disorganized staff.Experience with Nurses:a) The supporting nurses are nice and professional.b) The nurse who did the machine scan for my teeth for the trays was talking with the doctor. During the conversation, they were talking about a mistake they did on other patient with incorrect scanning. lol! I should have backed out then.c) The clinic lost my pictures taken for the procedure. Never ever happened in my life. How unprofessional! They had to re-take.Experience with Clinic Administration:WATCH OUT! TOO MONEY GREEDY. ITS A MONEY MAKING BUSINESS AND PATIENT EMPATHY AND CARE IS NOT THEIR TOP PRIORITY. I had to report doctor's behavior and the procedure complications multiple times, and was stuck in the treatment which I didn't want to proceed because I saw no actions taken. I stayed on for some time as I paid all money upfront out of pocket in thousands and they were not refunding me back for un-used money. Claims they used it, when I barely visited them for 2-3 times for the entire procedure that was compromised of many months. In the end, I got so frustrated, I asked for another doctor. They were encouraging me to go to Clayton and Garner (I believe). Then making statements that Clayton doctor do not take other doctors' cases etc. I was like transfer to my doctor of choice out of Riccobene. They were even hesitant to transfer my case to other doctor of my choice outside Riccobene. In fact, gave me incorrect form that showed as if I want all medical transfer from my out of Riccobene network choice doctor of choice to Riccobene. WOW, WOW! WHAT A FRAUD. I caught that and corrected form by editing it and signing it properly, and notifying them they gave me incorrect form. Immediately after that they transferred me to my doctor of choice. They never refunded me my money for un-used treatment plans, and said oh we consumed all. How could they consume all money which was meant for entire treatment in beginning of treatment. My mistake I should have chosen monthly treatment plan, and not paid them for entire treatment upfront. I lost all trust in them.I have started treatment at my dentist place outside Riccobene because my dentist also offers Invisalign now (whew!). I must say, I have no pain, just a normal tension of stretch, able to eat, talk, and function in my daily life without any pain. I love Invisalign treatment being done by my dentist. My dentist also changes my tray every 2 weeks, not every week like the doctor at Riccobene.My choice doctor outside Riccobene network was so kind, she gave me heavy discount on my out of treatment due to the experience she said I had with Riccobene Blush and Floss.I DONOT RECOMMEND THEM AND WILL NEVER RETURN TO RICCOBENE OR BRUSH AND FLOSS ORTHODONTISTS. POOR QUALITY, AND CARE.

Michelle: Dr. Sowji has helped both my husband and I with a problem tooth that needed rework and would recommend her dental wisdom, patience, soft hand and thoroughness to anyone that fears the dentist due to pain or future dental flare ups cause you’re disturbing or removing a problem tooth or crown. The scheduling staff & dental assts at this office are great too. Good dental practice, would highly recommend.

Roshan Shrestha: The people on help desk aren't able to help, they book you the wrong appointment and say you one quote on the phone and charge you different upon visit :(Also,Waited on for a month for root canal and took a day off but got canceled 30 min before the appointment. So frustrating. Wasted my time and energy. :(

Even though I was really nervous , the procedure I had done was very gentle and all the staff have excellent customer service and great bedside manner. I went in with pain and I left feeling so much better. They worked with me and set up my treatment plan. I had an overall great and positive experience. If you are uninsured they provide different membership plans that really work in your favor. If you are afraid of going to the dentist or haven't been in a while or just need a new dentist , go to Riccobene you will definitely be in good hands.
