In 2005, I was newly divorced, raising two kids alone, was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and then... FIVE major snowstorms hit in one year! I realized it was time for a change. So I quit my dream job as a VP at a top advertising agency, packed up the kids, and headed south — with no job, no friends, no family.
