Wake County Small Claims Court: what do users think?
Jessica Bullock: The young man at the counter is always explaining things in a condescending manner. It comes off belittling. The staff is also always chattering about things on the side, mostly complaining of process changes and things that fall under their job description. It’s a very unprofessional atmosphere when trying to conduct business.
Cass Waddell: I filed a small claims summons, they gave me a date on a Saturday. I showed up, and they were closed. I called Monday and they told me my case had been dismissed that very morning. Not sure why they wouldn’t give me the right date.
Carissa Waddell: I was scheduled a court date for 6.14.22. I drove 3.5 hours and ended up having to reschedule bc the police department wasn’t able to serve the defendant after trying 3 times. I didn’t receive a letter in mail or phone call in regards to the defendant not being able to get serve. So I basically wasted money, gas and time. They said I could have called to see if she was serve. I thought after all the money I paid, they would have at least told me before taking the drive.
Va Ve: Roll the dices and get lucky.
T Lorenzo: Small claims, I do believe room 116 off to the corner of the 1st floor of the courthouse near elevators. I completed my small claims forms via online and the printer didn't print out the backside of the complaint form " my first time filing these forms out and I didn't notice" , everything else came out just fine. All was filled out completely before I arrived at the stated location. I got called up by this very unprofessional woman mid to late 50s I'm guessing, which there was only 1 small claims staff on December 3 2018 around 10am. Spoke rudely about the copies that didn't print out "which didn't need to be filled out either" that I should have included them. As well, the "service act relief form" which was completely filled out as well notarized she complained that I shouldn't put "I dont know " for an answer which clearly wasnt written on the form! When I asked "where did I write I don't know on the form" for my response?? She held her unprofessional head down then looked up at me and said " well if you don't state how you know the individual on the form then that's like writing down I dont know "?!?! But said it in a calmer tone. Lmbo, I just shook my head. She's actually getting paid our hard earned tax $$ to speak that foolish?!🤔 smh, very sad that people like her actually still have a job, what the county/state need to start making mandatory is that every 3 months staff members must go through " a professional behavior skills class "!😉 Just remember this RUDE ONES... if it wasn't for the public taking their time to file these small claims YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB!! Be kind, patient, and most importantly thankful that the publiccontinues to help provide a pay check coming into your bank institution! Get it together or leave your job if you dont no how to deal with the public in a kind professional manner. It's really not that hard. I do pray for this individual, as she can cause alot more people stress than Peace and it shouldn't be that way.
T L: Missed my court date due to flights being canceled from hurricane Florence and they dismissed my case when i asked to reschedule. I come all the way from another state they need to be more understanding. Lost a lot of money from this !!!!!!
kierra lassiter: The most rude people I've ever in my life met. Most people who come here are already going through enough and stressing out and most definitely don't need such smug, rude individuals who act like you're beneath them .
Sommer Goodwin: Called in for some information on how to go about filing a small claims case. The receptionist was extremely rude and cut me off while i was trying to explain my concern. She told me just to download the paper work and read the instructions almost as if i was interrupting her from doing something more important. My suggestion is hire people who actually like there Job!
Mark Burchard: I find it odd that I'm writing a review for a courthouse. There are so many reasons not to. It's beneath the dignity of the court for one. And I'm not a lawyer or an employee of the court system, so that only leaves one other option :-/ (hint: This is where Wake County Traffic Court used to be held). ANYWAY, this is not a review of legal matters, because that would be just silly. I just wanted to say that while the facility itself rates an aging and drab municipal three (3) stars, I give 5 stars to my various interactions with the folks who work there. I have always been treated courteously. Clerks and other administrative staff have patiently answered my questions and explained forms, procedures etc. The security staff wand you politely when you set off the metal detector. Various officers and sheriffs and bailiffs have seen me looking lost and given me directions. DA's and judges return the respect you show them. Heck, even the cashiers have laughed at my stupid jokes, taking some of the sting out of settling up. The best "customer service" that I hope I never have to experience again :) !
ruby theneko: Absolutely horrible people. They make you write 4 copies of a form rather than make copies for you (because "everything costs money"), and because it took me so long to do one form 4 times (I have nerve damage in my hands), they threw me out promptly at 4:59. They didn't say anything like "You need to be done in 5 minutes or we're leaving". I told them I would have gladly paid for copies to be made. They wouldn't do it. I even told one clerk that I had one line left to write. He said, "The hours are clearly posted, come back tomorrow." and walked out.Awful people, seriously.
Matilda Allen: On line information is says that office hours are from 10-6PM. I called 15 to 5PM, automated answering machine was holding for 15 minute, probably it would hold longer, but I called from another phone at 5PM where I was transferred to main answering machine saying that court is closed, had not much to do, but hang up the phone. Well, I am paying big money for taxes and all tax payers does and no one cares, actually there is no one to be found in court or no one actually bothers to fix information about the work hours. Very bad, very unprofessional I would say.
Steve Coile: Visited "convenience court" adjacent to courtroom 1A and got a traffic citation dismissed (expired tags, since renewed). Took less than 2 minutes once I got to talk to someone. Very quick, nice and easy.

Superior Court Magistrate: what do users think?
Kayla Busby: Wish I could give zero stars or negative stars because they really don’t deserve the one. Lady cut me off like 5 times while I’m telling my story JUST to ask me questions she would’ve had the answer to had she listened to the story. She was so damn ready to pawn me off on the next person/county/department though.
Stephanie Booker: After driving 396 miles to attend a great friend of mines wedding. She applied online before hand and received conformation that her license has been approved but upon arrival to the Court House she was denied having her union blessed due to a simple license number from a certificate she has already paid for, not only has it Ruined her day but a lifetime of memories!!!
A K: I’m very thankful, today i was found not guilty of reckless and careless, I knew I was not guilty but I feared that judge would overlook the case and rule for the state, I trusted the system, I trusted the attorney, I believed in the judge, and he believed in me. Much respect!
sandra S: un-helpful staff, so much red tape.
John Williams: Rude & unhelpful staff. Had to call twice to even get service & both people were women with bad attitudes who just wanted me to luck their boots & not listen to my situation at all. I called twice because I got hung up on. Both calls actually I just gave up after that because I figured they'd rather sit around talking trash & doing their nails than actually doing their job.

Chatham County Courthouse: what do users think?
Silas Yount: I guess it was okay who likes a courthouse
Bruce Jones: I called back in May 2021, actually spoke with Dana, was sent via email what documents to bring and they would assist me with opening my Mama’s estate and to come anytime, no appointment. Upon arrival, standing 6’ away from a plexiglass panel, the “lady” behind the window and me hollered at each other. I explained that I had the documents that Dana requested and was told she wasn’t available. Didn’t expect to work with her anyway, but she just started asking questions, with the lobby full of people. There were several other people behind the glass wall of counters, I asked if I could just meet with one to get things started. She started shouting through the glass that I needed to hire a lawyer! I had driven 4.5 hrs and couldn’t find a lawyer available that day so I drove 4.5 hrs back home. A day shot and gas burned for nothing! Dana would not answer my emails trying to reach back out to her! I could have done this settlement, as I ended up doing most of the leg work for the lawyer if they would have just assisted a little! Cost me $2700 for the lawyer! Thanks for nothing!!!
Shawn Flaherty: Could not get the answer I needed when I needed it most
brenden bruce: By far the most unorganized government institution I’ve ever seen. No care whatsoever for people’s time.
Hunter Lilly: Chatham County court system helped change my life around. 5 starts all around.
Laura Lannan LJs Cleaning Service: Terrible place
Walter Shepheard: Avoid this place. The host is very unpleasant and demanding. Never even saw our server. It smells funny and the bathrooms were disgusting. We wont be back.
Luke Yarasheski: A little disappointed. Not a single basketball, racquetball, or tennis court in sight. And metal detectors seemed slightly unnecessary for a quick pickup game
Alan Pitstick: Very helpful.
Sweetie BreLOVE Phil: Its 2018 and they still do NOT take credit cards .. No way to pay by phone or online. Yet they want as much money as possible. Update your policy and get online.
Jean-Claude Linossi: Nice historic courthouse on the circle.
Savannah Savvy: Be careful the information I was given about wills for NC was completely wrong. I questioned the clerk carefully but she gave me erroneous information and now I have to get my will back!
Escobaria Gracilis: Attractive old historic courthouse on the square.. I like to visit old courthouses.
