Kimmiechanga: I get there are staff shortages across various businesses, but if you're gonna be closed willy nilly when the hours are listed online as open (see previous comments), just close temporarily/permanently and save patrons the trip
Bobby Hudson: It’s 300pm on 05/14/23 and this store is closed! It happens all the time. The store has a sign saying open 8-10. I hope corporate is looking at this review and make some changes.

Jack C: I'm convinced nobody actually works at this store. Every time I try to visit, no matter what time of day, there is a paper sign taped to the door saying they are closed. The hours seem to just be "whenever we feel like".

Just rude 😒 I was looking for goof off and ask her where it was . With an attitude she said I don't even know what that is and walked away .

Before, when I could actually shop here, they leave you to use self checkout & they let the line grow to the point that ppl start throwing their stuff down & walking out. Not to mention the store is always a mess. They don’t care, they literally ignore their customers.. like I get it’s dollar general but don’t you understand without customers you don’t have a job…
Samantha White: Arrived 30 min prior to closing according to Google hours and hours posted on door. Employee rushed away from the locked door and would not answer my knocks.
Ebony Ransom: The employees here are not customer service oriented. They will literally stand outside for a cigarette and leave the store full of customers with the self check out line backed up. Then still won't check anyone out after they finish their cigarette. I won't be coming back here. Today I stood in line for 20 minutes while a guy tried to figure out his coupons on self check out. 2 employees stood at 1 register talking. I just put my stuff down and walked out. So unprofessional and literally no customer service. It's like they forget without the consumer they don't have a job. All good cause I won't be giving this location my money anymore. Let me add most Dollar generals don't give great customer service and that's cool. But this store is in the negative when it comes to the customer service they give. The store manager is always nice and will talk to you but no one else does.
Karen Lawrence: WORST store EVER!! For several weeks now maybe even a month or more, no inventory on the shelves. Can hardly walk through the store due to bins and boxes of items needing to be unpacked.Hardly any staff in the store. You can only have a real person check you out IF you pay with cash… IF by card, you’re on you own to self check out, assuming you can even find anything to buy! Awful store! #dollargeneral

Tribe Of GAD: Today, I decided to visit my local Dollar General to treat my co-workers with snacks for all their hard work. I was in line waiting to be assist and noticed the Dollar General employee ignored another cust asking for help with check out. When Shirley finally answered the customer, it was very rude and disrespectful tone. I will never visit Dollar General again at 832 E Chatham St, Cary, NC 27511. In addition, the assistance manager watched and said nothing. I was very disappointed. Could someone please investigate this because I truly believe it was racism behind their negative tone.
Monica P: It's really a nice store - WHEN THEY'RE OPEN. The hours are so random and should really be updated to reflect the current staffing issues. They do at least put signs on the door, but who is really expecting that, especially in the middle of the day when it's supposed to be open. Blah.

Samantha Faircloth Gryka: Left the hospital after visiting my father. Needed some fluid for my truck before heading home (home being over an hour away). So I searched for the nearest dollar general from the hospital. Made it there 8 minutes before they were suppose to close for it not to be open. They close BEFORE 10pm and don't bother looking for their hours on the door of the store....they have peeled then off....for the closing hour. Employees parked in parking lot but no entry for customers. So be sure to arrive during the day if plan on visiting. Luck may be better than mine unless they peel the day time hours off the door next lol. Waste of time and much needed gas.

It’s Me Shakia: Always close by the time I get off of work despite being advertised as open until 10. For the past two months every time I stop by there they are closed by 7 pm. Today they were closed by 5pm. I wrote a review like this last month and I assumed they deleted it. I would have just appreciated if they updated their online times to be accurate so I don’t have to waste gas to go there and be disappointed.
Sandy williams: Found almost everything I was looking for. Headed to the grocery store and thought I would stop in and see how many items I could check off my list. Picked up over half my stuff!

Another guy tried to go in.. locked. I tried calling. No answer, so I left. Just tried calling again 2 hours later, no answer?

Sometimes though when certain employees are there dont expect any customer service. And if you demand service you just get stared at like you are the antichrist. However their self checkout works very well credit/debit only.

ThatSteelerChic Knowles: If I could give it a negative 0, I would because the manager in that store is the worst. I firmly believe that she is part of the reason why they can't keep employees in there because she is very unprofessional
Ohmy Nolababy: Very very rude staff. Asked to use the bathroom because it was an emergency. They said I need to ask the manager for the key. Don’t know if it was the manager or not but she said they can’t use it for customers even when I said it was an emergency. So I had an accident and messed all over myself. A key should be sufficient to let customers use the bathroom. But to not even allow them to use, the key is insensitive and cruel. Thank you for letting me experience some thing so humiliating.

avaa: the managers and employees are sick.. me and my family were just shopping and basically my brother and his bestfriend were messing with the balloons, the employee asked to not be over there and the rest of the time, they were with my mom and her best friend. then they made an announcement saying “ages under 15 must stay with their parent” while they were with their parents. me and my sister went to checkout while my mom was still shopping and they were talking bad about them infront of us. my mom and them were checking out and they were videoing my mom and them without there consent. we went out and the one employee came out and had a buggie and took a picture of our license plate and kept taking pictures of us. we did absolutely nothing wrong !!!! AND I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND THEY TOOK A PICTURE OF MEE !!!! the manager & employee need to be checked and need their job lost asap ! 😂

Tiffany Bostic: This store is always short staffed. My last visit, the cashier was very rude. I greeted her with a good morning, how are you? She responded seconds later with “I’m good”. She never gave me my total- i just inserted my card. She handed me my receipt and that was all. (NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS)In the past when I have shopped there, she is always on her phone in front of customers. And she always has a rude demeanor. I will take my business somewhere else.

MacKenzie Cavanagh: Worst customer experience ever. Was in the store 02/24/23 at 4:30 pm today and attempting to check out. Line was long and female cashier refused to service my husband and I because we had been looking at our phones while we waited in the line. She aggressively tried to embarrass us in front of the other customers and starting picking customers behind us in line, letting everyone know “she wouldn’t be servicing us”. Husband and I were very confused as we hadn’t been talking on the phone or anything rude. Ultimately left the store entirely without buying anything and will never be shopping at dollar tree again. This store really needs to fire this employee.
Kevin Auslander: At around 4:25pm on February 24 my wife and I were attempting to check out with some small snack items after a tough work day. We were standing next in line behind another customer who was being helped with some balloons, which were taking awhile, so a line backed up behind us. Another female cashier opened up her line and called the two customers behind us into hers, which was strange but could have been understandable since we had our items on the belt already. When the balloons were still taking a lot of time we shifted to the new cashier’s line. As she finished up with the customer in front of us, she started yelling towards us, saying that she didn’t call us over previously due to me playing on my phone while I waited (I was texting on my phone but clearly not causing any disruptions or rudeness, as the balloons were still in process throughout this whole ordeal). At this point, I was feeling pretty disrespected but I had an important text message to respond to from a coworker so I started responding, since we were not being serviced yet. A couple moments later, the cashier calls for the customer behind us to cut ahead, letting everyone know that she will not be checking us out and was refusing to serve us. For emphasis, we were not using our devices while being serviced and were quiet and respectful the whole time. Disrespected and confused more than anything, we left without buying our items since it appeared she would never check us out and we will not be returning. Hopefully it was just a bad day and she has better days ahead :)
medysa79: The most arrogant “manager” I have ever deal with. I ask to blow 19 balloons and she just blow up! Pick from what we have already blown. I said I need different ones. She said I have to wait cause we are busy. Do not touch anything cameras watching you. That’s what she said.Heeellooo! I came to buy some staff and thats how you treat customers? She ask me to leave “her” store cause I have a bad attitude. Here is a free tip for ya - don’t like you job just change it. Lots of places hiring. But not sure some one silly enough to hire you.Feel sorry for that old lady at register handling customers at her age and no help from colleagues.
A Mills: The store was a mess. Bathrooms closed and cartons of products sitting all over but no one working with them. I love Dollar Tree but will avoid this one. Cashers were nice.

Why are you even working if you have 0 interest in helping the CUSTOMER. If I could set 0 stars I would.
