Cary Endoscopy Center: what do users think?
F. R. (Effective Problem Solving): Be warned. Based on my experience, I had a colonoscopy as a regular checkup part of my yearly physical, first time ever, left with massive hemorrhoids issue that I had to get operated on in the same week, that costed me nearly $2000. It should have been a check up, however once they put you to sleep, who knows what they will do to you. Be warned.
Cynthia Sollace: The Doctors and staff are wonderful! They explained everything and always check in with you to make sure you are doing ok. I have had 3 procedures over the last 10 or so years and have always been treated exceptionally well. Very caring. I would definitely recommend Cary Endoscopy Center.
Lindsay W: I was referred by my physician to do the colorectal cancer screening in Cary Endoscopy Center. I have called them twice to make an appointment. But I was transferred to a number each time. Nobody answered my call. I left a message and still nobody called me back. After more than 1 week, I still can't make an appointment.
Brian Prentice: Cary endoscopy is great at what they do, everyone showed great knowledge of their work and they showed great professionalism. The entire procedure was explained to me the minute I entered the door by the receptionist, nurse, anesthesiologist and Dr. Mariam. The entire procedure from the minute I entered to when I was discharged took approximately one hour. Great job Cary-Endo!
Vinton Balagot: Very nice staff and service. Very attentive. Place was clean and in a good location.
Mary Anne Degenhardt: Excellent experience. Every one was professional and thorough. Dr Singh was prompt courteous and my colonoscopy procedure was wonderful.
Greg Yakaboski: Excellent experience. All staff, from the receptionist to the nurse to the nurse anesthetist to the doctor, were both friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Center for Digestive Diseases: what do users think?
Kamona Herring: Went in for a routine endoscopy and colonoscopy, getting the appointment was easy, everyone was nice and procedure was painless thanks to the wonderful staff! I am terrified of needles, and the IV needle normally burns burns when the medicine goes in. Ms. Kelly and Narasisha did an amazing job making sure I was pain free. My doctor was Dr. Singh.
Carlos Sarria: Dr Makam is been my doctor since 2013 , He is a great Doctor ,very professional always managing my ulcerative colitis condition to remission with his good treatments. Doctor Makam Nurse Brianda always doing the extra mile to inform and respond to your questionsThank you both to keep me in Remission . I highly recommend Center for digestive diseases .They really care about your health condition.
Gunjan Ubeja Laad: Dr. HPaul Singh, the nurses, and the entire staff were incredibly caring and considerate. Ms. Sangita Dave the office manager is very personable and kind and helped with getting my endoscopy scheduled within 24 hours. They were patient and thorough to go over everything and answer any questions that I had at the preliminary appointment and procedure itself. I highly recommend Center for Digestive Diseases in Cary. I almost wish they could be my doctors for everything since my experience with the office has been so positive. This green smoothie recipe by Dr. Singh is very delicious, healthy and helping me in my treatment.
Bobby Purple: Attentive, professional, caring, prompt appointment, no waiting. Great staff
J W: Tracy is the best. She follows up on pre approvals from the insurance co. Also the front desk office staff is great
Bobby Izquierdo: I’ve been seeing Dr Singh for 25 years. For my ulcerative colitis condition. He’s been great to me and I appreciate him very much. He’s the best!
Lisa S.: Doctor Singh and his staff are wonderful. He is kind and thorough. He was highly recommended by a friend and I highly recommend him as well.
Ellen Thabet: Horrible follow-up. Still waiting for to hear a followup from my doctor visit 9 days ago. I called and spoke to a nurse after 5 days and she said she'd talk to Dr. Singh. Never heard from her. Dr. Singh did nothing during my visit and no exam when I was there. Gave me no idea of expectations. I thought they would test me there but instead sent me to Labcorp. I did what I had to do for the lab the same day and never heard anything again from anyone. I don't see any test results in either the Labcorp portal or the doctor's portal. Can't even talk to a person a Labcorp; you have to send an email through the website. It's as if I was never anywhere. Absolutely no followup. Doctor was already paid by insurance and I have no answer and no info about what I went to the doctor for. Very frustrating and a waste of time.Update: 17 days later and still no followup from doctor's office. I was able to get my lab results after Labcorp responded and put them on their web access.
Eric Brignac: Went in for a routine colonoscopy--referred by my primary. They communicated very well and clearly beforehand about prep. They were friendly while I was there, and the procedure went very quickly. They answered all my questions. And they gave clear post-procedure instructions.Billing was done through insurance, so I didn't interact with that side of it. But it was seamless from my end.I recommend them 100%.
Lauren Rackley: The doctor was very creepy so I am not having a procedure here. I have tons of other male doctors who don’t give creepy vibes. Only went here because another doctor referred me. You have a choice of which doctor you go to.
Dominque Johnson: Dr. Singh and his staff is absolutely fantastic from the time I'm greeted until my departure. I've been a patient since 2019. They are so caring and making sure I understand everything that is happening and I'm comfortable. Not to mention Dr. Singh is funny. I would recommend them to anyone who ask.
Mary Rensel: I had a wonderful experience with the front desk, nurses, colonoscopy staff and Dr Sanaka. Dr Sanaka is kind, caring, and wonderful. Dr Singh nurse who is covering for Dr. Sanaka is so sweet and helpful. She got me samples of medication and always followed up with my request.
Salinda Van de Ven: When the Doctor was talking to me, another man walked, smiled pleasantly, probably an Intern, but the Doctor never introduced him nor said why he was there. It was awkward. The Doctor does not have a good bedside manner. Will not go back. I do want to add the Staff there were great.
Samantha Couture: I see others have written about negative experiences and I wanted to share that I have had a very pleasant experience here. They were able to get me in very quickly. I go to Dr. Sanaka and he is always very kind, listens, and is very professional. All of the nurses and/or PAs that I have had in the office for visits and for my endoscopy were so kind, personable, and made me feel comfortable. I would rate them as the best nursing staff I have encountered. I am not discounting others’ experiences but wanted to share that my experience has been very great here.
Dora Tarver: Dr Makam services are excellent.
J P: REFUSE TO SEE DR SINGH! I wish I would have read these reviews before seeing him. I have had the same experience as many on here. Dr. Singh ran every test he absolutely could even started with testing for very rare things. This went on for months. Now I have thousands of dollars of medical bills and still no answers. He told me he was going to refer me to someone else and that was over a month ago but he or his nurse will not return my calls. Still in pain with no answers and now in debt from medical bills.
Raquel Weis: I have been going to Center for Digestive Diseases since 2013 and see Dr. Makam. I have been treated for a myriad of GI issues over the years and I have always had my symptoms taken seriously and I have always been treated with kindness and respect. I have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy with them. They are simply amazing clinicians. I have yet to have a bad experience with them.
Cody Corbett: Horrible! Dr. Singh is so rude and not helpful! He was very ugly to my mom! All this place will do is take your money, and be of no assistance! Do your job and try to help people, not screw them over for their money!
Jim Simpkins Jr: My wife went to Dr. Singh to find out what was going on after being referred to him by Wake Med Hospital. Totally unprofessional and showed no care or compassion towards helping my wife get well. How do you get so complacent that you forget that your job is to help people?
David Estes: I had a colonoscopy here on Friday 8/14. The staff was absolutely wonderful and professional from the check in to the prep and the procedure . The 2 T Team in the prep were so pleasant and explained everything Considering what I was there for it was a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend the center for anyone needing this procedure.
Erica Farese: Highly unsatisfied with the care received. We had multiple procedures and CT scan performed weeks ago to confirm or not confirm a chronic diagnosis. We’ve left multiple voicemails over the last 4 weeks with no call back, desperate for results and an appointment. Our primary care physician was very upset that we have been unable to get a diagnosis. She was able to get the records and we have been referred to another gastroenterologist. We will never return and will deter anyone we know from getting care here.

Cary Gastroenterology Associates: what do users think?
Hasan Mutlu: Very professional organizationI was so pleased withDr. Furs attention and detailand care about his patient’s is unremarkableAlso Nurses and all other staff make you feel very comfortable.
Aretha Williams: Dr Pai and his staff are professional and courteous. Dr. Pai sits down and take his time to explain what’s going on. He also give you time to ask questions. His office is clean as well.
Jennifer Helms: Experience has always been good and I feel like I have been cared for. Top notch place.
Judi Gretenstein: Dr. Malhotra and her staff were great in explaining all questions.
Teresa Beyer: Dr. Abichandani is HORRIBLE. She does not listen to the patient and their symptoms. She says she has the education, talks down to you. She is arrogant, has no empathy. I have been complaining of pain for 6 months and she won't do a colonoscopy or any other testing I asked for. I have been a patient here for 15 year, used to see Dr. Scholl who was great but she is no longer here. I would NOT recommend this practice.
J W: Called and lady on the phone very rude. You can only be seen by them if you aren't already with another gastro doctor. Otherwise records must be sent then the doctors decide if they even want to take you as a patient. Never heard of that before. Stay away from this place if you can.
Justinkristie “JK Heat” Theheat: I called to make an appointment as a first-time patient for my almost 18-year old daughter. The woman on the phone, Kathy/Cathy would not let me make an appointment because they do not see children. I proceeded to explain to her that my daughter was turning 18 in a matter of weeks. Weeks. Also, probably the amount of time it probably took to actually get an appointment anyway!I asked if they would make the appt now, but set the date of the appt after her 18th bday, but she argued that I couldn’t even make an appointment until the day she turned 18. I explained to her that it probably takes quite a few weeks to get an appointment anyway, and as most 18-year-olds are heading off to college, we wanted to make sure we have an appointment in place before college, but she refused to make an appointment! It was absolutely bizarre! It was probably the weirdest experience I had making an appointment in my life! The scheduler also made assumptions about the appointment, medically, that is inappropriate and not within her scope of her job. My daughter’s primary referred her for her tummy issues. The entire experience was completely bizarre. She offered to have an office manager call me, and so I agreed yes and asked to please do that. That was two days ago. This place is not run well, clearly Kathy/Cathy is the “Karen” of the office. She has some sort of entitlement of power, as if she is the “boss” and she gets to decide who gets an appointment and who doesn’t.It was the strangest experience I’ve ever had calling a doctor/professional office. If being a patient there requires speaking to her, and or dealing with absurd office appointment rules, it’s not worth it.An office manager has not returned our call.If this is the way the office is maintained-run far away! We have found another option and will go that route. As always, a professional office starts with the person who answers the phone….
Connie Carroll: This office is terrible. I tried to get an appointment and left them a message a week ago since no one picks up the phone when you call. I got a call back today, I missed it. I called them back, and they didn’t disappoint, I get an answering machine. Again. Left a message and I’m sure they will call me back a week from today. I don’t feel that I can trust this office if I have a hard time trying to reach someone or talk to a human.
Judy Nevill: Friendly staff. Dr. Furs was great. He took his time and I didn’t feel rushed. He Answered all my questions.
Kimberly Green: Professional, friendly staff and efficient service!
Marsha Daniel: Great experience, have had 3 appointments in the past month and everyone has been great! It appears that they think my time is as valuable as theirs( which it is!) and everyone was kind, considerate and efficient, Dr. Malhotra and her staff are wonderful!
Joe Fuller: Kinda felt like the provider didn’t believe me. I was trying to sort out if a condition that affects two other family members which could have been sorted with bloodwork she was willing to order a mri which is costly and not help in sorting the condition. I would recommend finding a different practice.
Alicia Green: Awful nurses. The infusion nurse is around immunocompromised people, yet wears her mask below her chin 🤦‍♂️ the nurses who respond to Dr Brody's emails are rude and uninformed. Specifically Agnes and Dana have no business speaking with patients. Katie will contradict what Brody said in an office-visit, and then refuse to let you even talk to Brody without an appt, and good luck getting one of those in a reasonable time-frame. Do yourself a favor and seek care elsewhere.
Lis B.: I went a couple of years a for colonoscopy. Than the service was rude and I felt uncomfortable but thought well beside manners are secondary to results. Long story short called to transfer my. Medical record to a closer and nicer practice. I was told zzzthat as soon as I transfer they would never let me come back. Well good riddance I'm not coming back. Never heard of such a thing but if you don't want me I am happy to never come back. The absolute rudeness and bad bedside manners don't want me to come back in the first place. I'm not sure that medical was ever any better
Ed Howard: Dr. Pai has been my family's Gastroenterologist for the past eight years at Cary Gastroenterology Associates. I couldn't say enough complimentary things about him and his fabulous staff. Best of the best. Dr. Pai is very intelligent, empathic and professional. Staff are attentive and amicable.Ed Howard, DMD
Stephen Cooper: Long waitDoc is great
Grayson Carl: Cary Gastroenterology denies care to patients.I saw someone in a different practice within the last 12 months and now need to be seen for a different issue. Given I am not happy with my previous Doctor, this seemed a good time to find a new provider. This office has a policy in which they will not see you (they deny health care service) if you have seen a different provider in the last 12 months. They apparently prefer that you to go back to a Doctor that you do not like or trust or simply don't get the medical care that you need.I'm gobsmacked. But if this is their idea of medical ethics, I'm glad I found out now.
Beth Huenniger: Check in was a breeze, no waiting, Dr Pai was through and patient. I had all my questions answered and I highly recommend this practice.
Sue Ganshaw: Cary office staff were very friendly. Dr. Brody was easy to talk to and efficient.
L.M. Kupfer: Experienced that great feeling when you know you made the right choice. Just finished my first visit with Dr. Jeevan Pai at Cary Gastro. The staff was welcoming, polite and professional.Dr. Pai has a confident but gentle demeanor. His expertise is immediately apparent as he provided both diagnosis and course of treatment. Highly recommend this physician and medical office.
Fran B: Everyone is so pleasant and Dr Furs is the absolute best.
