Iman Ziboukh: Wow!!!! Took us less than 7 minutes to finish all this because it was…amazing. Environment feels like you’re at home, it smells amazing as soon as you walk in, the staff is so friendly & kind, and the food is just PHENOMENAL. You have got to go here!Recommended dishes Injera, Awaze TIBS, Alecha Wot, Doro Wot, Key Wot …More
Rae Hedges: So the food was good - but the service was the worst I'd had in years. I get better service from a takeaway joint! She gave every other table a pitcher of water and not our 6 person table, refilled waters literally once in the meal, she was curt to the level of almost rude every time she came to our table yet when going to others she was enthusiastic and kind with things like "hey Francis, how are you?" to another baby who was there. It started with her literally telling us to wait outside for her to set up the tables for us then really unfriendly interaction the whole meal. Very disappointed! Will not be back.
Yuca Bread: AMAZING. Awaze is one of my favorite restaurants in Triangle. The food always exceeds expectations & the staff is extremely friendly and kind. Highly recommend the tea & veggie sampler.
Angela Graf: Amazing food. Great vegan options. Got the veggie platter and it was delicious. Will be returning.Recommended dishes Veggie Platter …More
ermias afework: the food portion is so small I pay $40I think the owner she’s very nice, but there is another lady she’s very rude
Andrea Moran: BEST ETHIOPIAN EVER! The sweetest and most hospitable people and the food is on point! We drove from Florida and this was the best reward after a long drive

Anna Thompson: This place makes incredible, flavorful, authentic and comforting dishes. One of my favorites!
brittany marsh: Paid $20 just for some bread. There was literally only 3 scoops of meat. VERY little portion. I really had to go to McDonald's just to fill up my stomach afterwards.
Christian Rust: Delicious food here would recommend bringing a few friends and eating family style!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Janet: If it weren't for the overly high price point (think minimum of $18 for a fairly small portion), I would give this 5 stars because I do love the authenticity and appreciate the diversity of food options that this adds to the area. I've had really great Ethiopian food in DC and Boston, so while this doesn't quite reach those levels, it's certainly a good spot to try out.It does confuse me why this spot doesn't open on Sundays, as I think they're potentially missing a big stream of potential weekend customers.

Tawana Humphrey: This was my first time experiencing Ethiopian cuisine and it was a fabulous experience. We ordered fried beef pastry for our appetizer and they tasted very good! I cannot name the dishes, but they were both beef. The waitress asked us if we wanted 2 plates or one. We chose one and the food was delivered on a huge pan of injera bread. We ordered a seasoned coarsely ground beef and the other was chunks of beef with peppers and onions. The meat was placed onto the bread and then the collards and cheese. My fiancé ordered an Ethipian beer and decided to order another one because it was so good. The atmosphere is relaxed and the waitress was very kind and accessible. We can't wait to go back!
Luke: I always get the vegetarian combo and it's spiced well, hot, and the serving size is great for the price. The service is friendly/fast, and I always feel great after eating there even when I stuff myself haha.Vegetarian options: Very easy to eat here as a vegetarian. At least a half dozen unique options.

Mike Olech: Good authentic Ethiopian for. I enjoyed the miser wort was excellent.
Vin Cent: Wonderful food, but beware if you go for dinner, this place is next to a bar with a huge booming sound system that fills the restaurant with terrible reverberating bass. We ended having to get our food to go!
Soroush Vahdati-Shams: Great Ethiopian food! Love the platters. Get a nice taste of everything. Highly recommend here.
La'Varris Carter: The kitfo is the best I have had ever since discovering Ethiopian food. If im ever in Raleigh again, this will certainly be my first stop. 10/10!

Ariana Ross: Delicious!! Real traditional Ethiopian food and everything was incredible. Lots of options it was hard to choose! Servers were very friendly and kind, bar put out great drinks, overall a fantastic atmosphere. Stunning art on the walls and displayed on the shelves! Was great to see that this is a popular spot in town. Will definitely be back :)

Max Johnson: I've had a craving for Ethiopian food ever since my first to-go order from Nafkot. Nafkot was my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine, so I can't speak on how it compares to other places. However, what I can speak on is the quality of the food. The injera is soft, delicate, and slightly sour. It perfectly compliments whatever you are eating with it. So far, my favorite dish has been the awaze tibs. I would recommend picking one meat dish paired with the vegetarian combo. Easily enough food for two people, with plenty of leftovers to eat the next day!

Goorsha: what do users think?
Luis Z: The food has good flavors altho tamed down from authentic Ethiopian. The place is decorated as a college fast food spot which really doesn't make justice to such a rich culture. The service was truly bad, if you are looking for an experience go somewhere else, from here just order for pick up.Vegetarian options: Multiple options
Ashley Fletcher: Authentic and delicious.
LM G: Definitely not going back to this place. The service is terrible. The hostess/waitress is so indifferent and rude. She could absolutely care less about your dining experience. We took my dad here for his 76th birthday. Big mistake! It was recommended by a trusted colleague so I thought it would be great. Mediocre food, bad service, rude hostess. No one checked on us, no drink refills, no utensils or plates with our appetizers. I had to go ask for a check. Also they should update their website. The menu on their website isn't accurate. They say they have combo dishes which in my experience is how we always eat traditional Ethiopian food. This restaurant doesn't do that nor do they serve on one communal platter. To me that is the authentic way of eating and one of the beautiful aspects of Ethiopian culture. Not an enjoyable experience. Bad vibe for Dads birthday. Definitely not going back.
David McCole: Love the good. Definitely a place to checkout.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Courtney: Had dinner at Goorsha for the first time with two friends. We came early on a Thursday evening (around 6:30PM) and were seated right away. The waitstaff were kind and helpful. I have a nut allergy, and I was delighted to find that I could eat anything on the menu! The selection of meat and vegan options on the menu was much-appreciated by our group. The food was excellent - spicy! :) I'm already wanting to go back and try another combination for the vegetarian platter.Vegetarian options: Ample vegan/vegetarian options offered.Parking: There's free parking just a short walk down the street at Brightleaf Square. There's also a small, paid lot right next to the building.Dietary restrictions: Nut allergy sufferers rejoice! The menu has nothing with peanuts nor tree nuts.
Victor Rotari: I had a fantastic experience at this Ethiopian restaurant. The food was flavorful and authentic, and the portions were generous. I loved the injera bread and the variety of dishes that came with it. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The restaurant also had a nice selection of drinks and desserts. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try something different and delicious.
Gina D: Absolutely delicious Ethiopian food! Meat, seafood, and vegan options. The sambusas were perfect! Chill atmosphere with a sizeable patio, and a bar. Beer on tap and various cocktails. It was a busy beautiful night and they seemed understaffed, but we're very kind and accommodating.Vegetarian options: Vegan platter with choice of 3 dishes for each order.
Andrea Crook: Great place for vegans! And you won't leave still hungry - serving sizes are quite big.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Injera …More

Nora Anaya: Amazing and unique food, cocktails and experience in general. Love this place. I’ll definitely be back!
Jaimee Driscoll: Ethiopian is one of my favorite foods, and I really looked forward to Goorsha. We were very disappointed. The flavors weren't very well balanced, the service was lackluster. I ordered a side without onions due to an allergy and was served onions anyway. At no point did our server check on us to see if we liked what we were eating or to make sure I had food I could eat. Neither of us finished our food or came close, which was noticed by staff, but no questions were asked about our experience. To add to the negative experience, there was a giant cockroach that hovered right next to my chair. The staff finally noticed and got rid of it, but with no apologies. I won't be recommending that people eat here.We left hungry, and after paying our full bill at Goorsha we went out elsewhere to eat.Vegetarian options: They have an entire vegan menu.Dietary restrictions: I asked to have food to accommodate an allergy that was not met.
Saurav Sarkar: Recommended dishes Sambusa, Zilzil Key Wot, Doro WotMore
Ashleigh Benoit: The restaurant is small inside, but cozy and comfortable. Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu and the food is incredible. Plus clean restrooms and excellent service!Recommended dishes Vegan …More
Rohit Sharma: Poor service. Server forgot our bottle of wine. Took really long to get sat. Food was subpar.
uninterested: Waiter was unpleasant and rude. Service was slow, food was totally tasteless and bland. Don't waste your time
Avery McCoy: Always good
