Ed: We went with family to the amphitheater, especially for our young children to experience fireworks close up for the first time. We had thought that this venue would provide a more sophisticated environment with the symphony entertaining, but we unfortunately were mistaken. The entire experience was a nightmare from the sheer volume of attendees, the overwhelming amount of traffic, overpacked lawn area, incompetent gate workers, mind numbing line waiting and prices for concessions. We arrived 2 hours early before fireworks in order to have sufficient time to enjoy the amenities, and perhaps avoid any stress from later arriving crowds. This turned out to be a pointless strategy because the rush was on even at this time frame with lines at the check-in gate compounded by aggravating gate personnel. The sensor went off at the gate, I emptied my pockets, and, except for the amalgam in my fillings, I was free of metals. They were confused why I was emptying my pockets but still detaining me for the detector still going off. They seemed a little jumbled about their job requirements so I waited until they sorted themselves out. Given the all clear, I expressed myself on their level of expertise and I proceeded. The amphitheater was pretty but arriving at the lawn, or pine needles, it was already overtaken with people. This was a smaller amphitheater from my experience, which might contribute to the overcrowding, especially a free event like this. It was literally people packed upon one another, walking over and around each other, no peaceful sitting on "the lawn" here. They had a hot dog for sale,... about the only average food on the menu, otherwise it was like Au Bon Pain with aioli on your wagyu beef patty and commensurate pricing,  $14 swanky cheeburger, $10 soft drink, $12 beer. I commend having premium offerings, however sticking to some basic items would have helped. Even free they had their gimmick for extracting a pound of flesh it seems. The Symphony was beautiful from what we could hear, however music volume on the upper lawn was insufficient to compete with the noise and conversations. We decided to, unfortunately, leave the lawn area and head towards the pond and food truck area, for a better view and to focus on the main event. This did not disappoint with a wonderful 20 minute display, thank you town of Cary. The food trucks were undoable, swamped, lines ten car lengths long provided no recourse. When leaving we encountered the final punishment of the entire fiasco. A fifteen minute drive home turned into an hour and a half, hundreds of cars just sitting for about forty five minutes to an hour in parking lots idling. On our walk back to the free parking area on Regency parkway they opened up traffic westbound in the eastbound lane to maximize car egress I would guess. Unfortunately, despite a sidewalk, there still were people unknowingly walking in the eastbound road from the previous length of roadway marked off and closed. This was quite dangerous being it was dark and as the vehicles came up from behind pedestrians quickly, without warning, having been released from their bondage in the parking lot. There was yelling and angry horn honking, cars accelerating around people and themselves to get by. It didn't seem well planned out and fortunately didn't end catastrophic.Great fireworks, thank you Cary. However, the amphitheater has room for improvement. As other reviews have mentioned, considering the size of the turnout for the event, limiting the attendance or increasing the surrounding entertainment capacity for crowds would be helpful. Maybe decentralizing the entertainment from the amphitheater, and in partnership with the city, having a couple of bands out on the public Street, like they do in Raleigh, would help to increase enjoyment and distribute the crowds. As for the amphitheater, I would reconsider going to other events there if I knew there were similar circumstances, which numerous other reviews have confirmed as being the case.
Ron Cohen: Went for fire works, would have been nice if somewhere it was posted you HAVE to be in the amphitheater to see them. Don't go for July 4th unless you pay to sit inside.Looks like a fun spot for a show, but it's ABSOLUTELY not family friendly for July 4th without buying seats. And even then it was incredibly over crowded and extremely expensive...
Justin Bulson: The staff were very kind, accommodating, and very helpful when we had some issues with the security team. The Koka Booth Amphitheater staff went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I who are disabled were comfortable and accommodated.Visited on Public holiday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended Yes Price for adult entry Free …More
Ron Smith: Koka Booth should not be allowed to host more people and cars than the roads in and out can accommodate. Exiting after an event can take up to 2 HOURS!!! The Town of Cary should hire some urban planners to design adequate roads.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More
Kevin G: Worst traffic control in the world. Not sure where these people come from. Took more than 2 hours just to get out of the park.

Jonathan Abbott: Please figure your parking situation out post event. Traffic jam after July 4th with no one directing traffic and we were stuck for 1.5 hours until midnight...

Itsme,Leslie Crum: Very informative, handicap accessible, & we enjoyed it a lot!
Heather Miller: This was great! Very much reminded me of the fair without the big crowd and high prices. Drinks and desserts were half the price of the fair. Oh and admission was FREE. Went to the bbq cook off which did require a ticket but wasn’t expensive at all and it was awesome definitely good bbq and for a great cause, the Masonic orphanage.I will surely be doing this again and highly recommend.

Fieldstream Farm Christmas Light Festival: what do users think?
Tiffany: Very pretty place!
Nikki Romero: The light show was amazing!! We went when it was 12° outside, so I’m grateful for the drive through show. I felt bad for the workers but appreciate them! Each section was so thought out.We will be back next year, but will try and drive slower.. the drive was relatively quick
Olimjon Mirzaev: Fun place and one of the best one around the area! Even the Raleigh itself!
Lindsey Davis: Amazing Christmas lights! Better than Wral Night of Lights. Absolutely gorgeous
Evgeny Polkovnikov: We liked their lights show best so far (comparing to bunch of other shows in Cary-Raleigh area). Well organized. Displays of the right size and density and they are modified and improved each year. Too many favorites to mention here :-) Great music and easy to tune - multiple reminders of radio frequency is super helpful. Nice attendants. We went there 5 years so far and hope to come the next year.
DeNata Johnson: It was worth every penny spent and I would like to ask if you can give some pointers to the WRAL's Njght of Lights... Great lights, placements of the lights, designs, and the tunnel all I can say is phenomenal.
Durran Henderson: This is the Best display of lights I have ever seen in person in my life! They have so many different themes from Disney to Jurassic Park Mario brothers to the story of Jesus and Christmas true meaning. This place is amazing went twice with the family definitely a must see when in the area!
Lisa Money: This was a fun activity for my young kids on a super cold night. It was quick and very enjoyable. I would recommend tuning in to the radio station or listening to Christmas music. Also, turn off your headlights. And drive SLOW so you can really take it all in!
Shayla: Wonderful experience!! My kids loved it!!!
Olga Iris Vega: A fun ride in your car to see the Christmas lights and you turn on the radio and hear Christmas music. Had a nice time with the family. Last about 30 minutes.🎄🚘🎄
Irene: This was awesome! My 4 kids range from 1 year old to 15 and they all enjoyed the show:)
Mike Dixon: Spectacular!! For this to only be in it's 3rd year, we were shocked at how many lights they had! Our little one loved it so much, she wanted to go through again!! The workers were extremely nice, and we were thrilled to see The Bible story section. So glad to have found this hidden gem, sure to become a new family tradition.
Hannah Brohaugh: One of the best Christmas light displays I have ever been to. Definitely would recommend coming here. I drove about 30 minutes and it was worth the drive. If you haven’t been here you should definitely come! I can’t recommend it enough
Linda: Absolutely amazing experience at a truly fair price. The Tunnel of Lights as you first enter is really long and beautiful. Then a long winding road carries you through a stunning series of displays. The grandkids loved it, young and teens alike. And so wonderful to see Santa! Thank you Fieldstream for doing this for all of us.
Bill Hampel: An Awesome experience and what a great way to make a memory. Highly recommend.
Deanna: Spontaneously went here and it was definitely worth it! Loved all the different themes. The back part of the farm is hidden to the road so that was pretty cool. The Wizard of Oz themed section was my favorite.
raleigh nc: Vale la pena visitar un paseo muy familiar
Jen Hilton: Our family loved this! The tunnel at the beginning was so fun, as were all of the lighted characters. They even have their own radio station playing Christmas music. Well worth the price of admission. Grab your hot cocoa and go!
Aisha Robinson: I purchased tickets online and never received an email about it which means I never received my tickets. Called the number was given a 1800 # called them and got the run around. Would not recommend as their customer service is lousy.
Rozlynd Hackett: These Christmas lights are absolutely worth it!! The line went slow enough so you could see everything and be able to snap pictures or videos. The staff is extremely friendly and offer such a homey feel! My favorite was the wizard of Oz and Jurassic park! Whenever you’re in the area, you have to stop by and see it for yourself!! The tunnel is absolutely amazing!
Steeven Zelaya: Lleve a mis hijos este lugar y esta hermoso

Apex Music Festival: what do users think?
Adam A: Poor planning.. vendors ran out quickly. No parking anywhere whatsoever. Great bands. Great bands. Only reason I gave two stars, otherwise it would be one star. Just a low budget, no frills setup with no chairs for viewing (only some food seating), no seating unless you bring one. All the cars on the street in front of the police station got parking tickets because the entire street is a no parking zone.. except for the spots right in front for the band, Marked clearly with Signage. Then because of the 30 cars and vans and SUVs parked on the street you couldn’t see any “No parking signs”. I showed up late with my girls and was the first to receive a ticket because the police officer started at the far end of the line instead of the front end where everyone was.I call that a big ol racket! Police shooting fish in a barrel, taking advantage of its citizens and our precious tourism for the good of whom? They should have put more signage up saying no parking and they should have been on it right away preventing more people from parking there. It’s not like they can’t see what’s happening as it’s right outside their front door. Even the lady at the City Center that took my parking payment called it a racket.I don’t expect to be attending again, save myself the trouble of being disappointed. Otherwise just go in with really low expectations and you will be pleasantly not surprised!
mike kelly: Very poorly planned on the vendors part. Food vendors ran out of food and beer vendors ran out of beer by 9 PM.
N. E. Boyce: The VIP seating strategy is ludicrous. Bad management, poor venue layout, hiring high school kids to play bouncers, generally a bad experience except for the great bands. Keep expectations low, and it's OK.
