Warrior Woman Firearms Training: what do users think?
Ellen Moricone: I, along with a wonderful group of Ladies from a former chapter of The Well Armed Woman, have trained with Shelley Gurley since 2016. I cannot say enough about how great Shelley is as an instructor and a friend. She puts her whole heart and soul into helping women of all ages and from all backgrounds regardless of experience or lack there of. I have witnessed her working with women that were afraid to touch a firearm, to elderly women who had difficulty handling a firearm due to arthritis.Dedication, Empowerment, Caring and Experience are the 4 words that come to mind when I think of Shelley. No matter what your experience level with firearms is (including no experience), Shelley will help you feel comfortable and she will always think of ways to challenge your skills! You won't be sorry training with Shelley, but you will regret it if you don't!
LA Womack: I am so fortunate that Shelley has been working with me on a one-on-one basis for well over a year. She helped me transition from my trusty revolver to a semi-automatic and I have learned so much from her. I value Shelley as an instructor as well as a good friend and target practice buddy!! Most recently I entrusted our #1 grandson to her care for some beginning handgun safety and use training. He and I were both thrilled!!
Jeffrey Webb: Shelley was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I came as a complete novice and a little nervous. She made feel at ease and I had a great time.
Tara Leathers: I was completely new to handling a firearm and to be honest, quite intimidated. After completing Shelley's Basic Handgun course and feeling comfortable with the knowledge gained of firearms, ammunition and safety, I was ready for the Concealed Carry course. She has a way of getting her students involved, understanding the importance of safety, and learning all aspects of a firearm. I would recommend Shelley and her class to anyone, even an avid firearm user.
Nathan St. Denny: Great instructor with a strong background. Provided detailed information and a informative class. Helped correct a number of issues in overall handling, maintenance and firing. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in learning more.

Triangle Shooting Academy: what do users think?
Harrison Frank: While it seems as though it is a professionally run business, comparing prices of firearms and ammunition to other gun shops, and online, this place should be avoided from a buyers aspect. A case of 1,000 9mm standard brass cased ammunition costed about $360 here while you could go on ammoseek online and buy almost the exact same thing for about $215.
Aaron Weisenborn: Justin and team have been awesome to work with! I am preparing to relocate and had an item stuck in ATF jail. I explained my issue to Justin and minutes later it was magically approved. These guys are the best in the business!
Felpex 243: Amazing
Gabriel Bloch: Unintelligent lady who doesn’t know much about guns when asked a simple size question about a glock refused to sell us ammo when our younger sibling that we brought along didn’t have an ID. He is also under 18, and was also not the one purchasing the ammo, just along for the trip.
Steven M: I became a member a while back. I have received excellent service and advice from everyone I have met at TSA. I am very impressed with the whole sha-bang.I am not without some experience, 11 years in the Army. Competed on the Army Rifle and Pistol team from 1968 to 1979, but sold every weapon I owned in 1983. It has been 40 years almost to the day since I picked up a handgun .Last Friday I took a class from Richard and I have to say...I learned a great deal...he had me hitting the 10 ring more than times than I missed. Not too bad for really old geezer.I am amazed how much the game has changed since I was thinking I was good...
Charlie Counselman: Great place, very professional and friendly staff. Good range and good store also. Very safe and well run.
Scott Sternkopf: Best range I've ever been too. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, clean and well lit range with good ventilation, safety taken seriously, and first rate instruction in the classes they offer. Can't recommend enough
M c: Great facility, knowledgeable staff
Yifang Zhu: Very fun and interesting
Luis Peña: Soy Latino y tengo mi pasaporte, me encantaría vivir la experiencia, puedo asistir ??Por favor infórmenme
Manfred Wise: I bought a rather expensive BRAND NEW pistol from these guys. When I opened it after I got home, the top of the barrel was extremely worn and I swear it didnt look like that when I checked it in store. Maybe thats why they were in the back for so long. Not sure what happpened, but they shouldnt have sold the gun like that. Barrel looks used, while the rest of the gun looks new. I live a couple hours away so it's not like I can go right back. I'll go straight to sig to see if I can get it remedied. I'll never go back. That's just shady.
Katy Willett: My son wanted me to practice using my gun. So off we went. The place is an interesting mix of people who are really, really into guns and complete novices such as myself. Happily son is a member, because on Saturday afternoons there is a long line of people waiting and members have a priority line. The place is very busy on Saturdays and could use more sales people. The gun range person was very helpful with showing me proper grip techniques. If you are new, be prepared for the smell (sort of a mix of car and fireworks smell) and the loudness (even with ear cover a gentleman was renting a very loud subsonic gun). My ammunition was very reasonably priced.
Madison Barnes: I recently purchased a firearm at TSA and was assisted by Jacob Woodburn. As someone who had initial hesitations and a load of questions, Jacob helped me feel informed and comfortable in my decision/purchase. He’s great and I will absolutely be coming back to visit Jacob with any further purchases. I love that they offer a women’s program as well. Overall great experience!
Mari Custodio: Very modern with great customer service
Clyde Stinson: Great place to shoot and shop for guns. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Trae “TH1NTON” Hinton: Update: the owner reached out and resolved the issue so changing to 5* triangle is a nice facility but this situation I had to bring to their attentionI was just at triangle earlier this evening around 17:10 est to check out a couple guns. As I was leaving there was a group of guys a few had been there a bit earlier and one guy showed up late. I know the rules are the last shooters will be taken an hour before the range closes but who ever the range safety officer was at the front desk that was yelling at them that they couldn’t shoot your behavior completely abhorrent and I would never step foot back in this establishment again. He wasn’t ever speaking to me and I felt uncomfortable. I saw the gentlemen outside and recommended a different range. The level of customer service provided by that RSO was abysmal, if you’re going to speak to people for being late like that to come shoot how do you expect me to trust you on the range.
Will G.: I really like this place. I have had nothing but good interactions with the Range Safety Officers. They have always been very helpful along with the rest of the staff. Feels like a very safe place to shoot. Nice rental selection.
Daniel C: Went to Triangle Shooting academy to purchase 1000rds of 9mm and Holosun 507k. They were out of stock on the Holosun but had the 9mm. So then I grabbed a box of 1000rds of 9mm for 350$ and headed to the closest register. I stood there for 10mins waiting on someone to check me out or even speak to me. No one ever did speak to me until I was walking to put the ammunition back. I had already made up my mind that I wasn’t purchasing 1000rds of 9mm after the wait. I’d rather drive back to my home town and spend my money at the gun shop that I was loyal to, it’s an hour away than deal with with type of customer service. This was around 8pm on Tuesday May 9th. So they were not very busy however there seemed to be 3 employees admiring a ghost grey/blue used firearm(Barret Rec 7 I believe), but couldn’t take the time to speak to me or check me out. If everything was in stock k and I received even decent customer service I would have spent over 600$ tonight, I left empty handed.
Olympus_Travel: Great local range + shop! Knowledgeable staff, great benefits for MEMBERS, and always a clean facility. The RSO are always willing to give tips and help correct safety issues or just generally give advice for shooting.
Just_The_Fax: TSA offers a huge selection of guns for sale and rent. They also have one of the larger selection of NFA items in stock which is also nice. The range staff is very professional but if you plan to go shooting on the weekend get there early because they get busy quick. Accessories prices are very competitive with what you can find online and they have a very large selection, but ammo prices are on the high side.
Sherry R: Very busy Saturday. Helpful staff

Wake County Firearms Education & Training Center: what do users think?
Bill Mitchell: I have no problem with being told I did something wrong and did not follow a rule. I do have a problem when you do it in a disrespectful way.The last two times I was there I had two different range officers give me an attitude and one say he could throw me out. Never going back.
dan b: What a great asset this facility is for anyone into the shooting sports ! - the place is clean, very well organized with 100% safety in mind. Went to sight in a new rifle, first visit there-totally impressed with way the safety instructor/ RO's operate and how friendly they all were. Hard to believe its free of charge-well, not exactly considering its ultimately funded via tax $$ but , nevertheless, just have to say: "Thanks NC Wildlife Resources Commission , really appreciate being able to use this facility" !!
Dana La: The staff is great. Zach, one of the ROs, was above and beyond helpful today. Melanie at the front desk is always super nice.
Jennifer Bozeman: This place is AWESOME! No one has any excuse for not being educated about firearms! Free handgun safety class with a good amount of range time. So thrilled to have this resource in my backyard! Staff are so kind and helpful. Loved spending a good chunk of my Saturday there 😃
Chris C: You definitely can’t beat free! The facility is nice and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for!?! I totally recommend this facility!
Tom Ray: Fantastic group of workers at the range. Very helpful.
Tracy Darden: After reading the reviews I visited this range with my wife recently. It not a bad facility. Somes employees seem a little grumpy but honestly who cares 🤷🏾‍♂️ The majority of them are kind, friendly, and helpful. I was skeptical about going because I could tell a lot of these reviews are written by employees 😂😂! My advice to patrons and ppl who visit the range, is to listen closely and follow the rules and most importantly have fun, my advice to the staff. Is keep doing what you guys are doing. The facility has been around a long time and is accident free at that! It’s no different than visiting you local Walmart. Some employees will be helpful and kind and some not so much. It’s a free facility so you got to take the hood with the bad. If you are a first time shooter, I would recommend a different range. If you just want to practice or let off a few shots this is the range for you.
Noah Secrist: Great Range, Great Staff. William has a phenomenal team of RSOs. Mel runs a tight ship. Always feel safe. Everette was knowledgeable and friendly.
Adolf Hitler: While the facility is cold, the ventilation system is actually pretty good. But regarding the two from the same group, I happened to be next to them when the “downright creepy” RSO was watching them. They were swinging the gun around and shooting the ceiling, and the “young black man” was simply trying to correct the issue before needing to throw them off the range. I honestly felt scared a couple times cause they muzzle swept me once that I saw. They even admitted it in their review
Timothy Burkett: Always a bad experience at this place. Grumpy people, always cold or hot. Bad ventilation. Went frequently when I lived in Apex, will never go back.
John Gates: What an amazing facility! The range is large with a lot of lanes so it is rarely over crowded. You reserve lanes so you never wait in line, when it's time everyone goes in and is assigned a lane. The staff is friendly, accommodating and professional. When I once forgot to follow protocol, the range officer caught it before I had a chance to make the mistake and discreetly let me know leaving my dignity intact while keeping me and everyone else safe. The price is certainly best you'll find anywhere, because it's a free public service. The NC Wildlife ranges are all state treasures, their partnership with Wake County has produced a genuinely awesome resources for North Carolinians.
Full Spectrum: Visited this range with my dad and some friends. My dad and I did not shoot in the same area as my friends. We were shooting rifles and they were shooting pistols in a separate section. Every time I looked over my friend had one of the RSO breathing down her neck. A young black man with dreads. I’m sure he did kno we were all one group, and the man was not rude, but even my father thought it was odd. Once our hour was up. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are a female. I personally didn’t like seeing my friend uncomfortable and neither me, my father or friends wanted to cause a scene. What bothers me about this is she did not once break any range rules. He was literally standing directly behind her every time she stepped up to the lane to shoot. Most of the staff is great and extremely friendly and helpful. But there are a few young RSO there who come off as rude, jerks or like the guy my friend encountered a DOWNRIGHT CREEP!
Glock McDonald's: Would of gave this facility 5 stars but when I visited this place with my friend. There was a young black man with dreads who stood over me the entire time there was about 5 other ppl shooting and he just continued to come over to me even though I was not breaking any of the range rules. He was kind and polite but made me rather uncomfortable. He kept trying to give me tips and correct my shooting. Even tho I wasn’t doing anything to break policy rules. I’m not a pro shooter I shoot to release stress and have fun. Also there was a heavy set employee a young man (white) who was rather rude to my friend for no reason at all. Her gun was not in the correct position. He explained it to her but was a complete jerk about it. This place is great I personally think the younger employees just need a little bit more training as far as dealing with the general public. Outside of that I had a great time and would of gave it 5 stars.
Joe Lindley: 5 stars because it's FREE! Sure, it would be great if it was more climate controlled and the targets were automated, but it's FREE! Staff is professional and nice. Never had any issues there. The hours are weird because I think it's used for law enforcement training during the week. On weekdays, it's only open to the public in the evening, so I always go on the weekends because you can shoot in the morning or afternoon. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time online and read all the rules before getting there. Make sure all your firearms are unloaded and leave them in the car before going inside to check-in. They'll tell you what to do from there. If it's your first time using the facility or your range pass has expired, you'll need to arrive at least a half hour before your reservation for a safety briefing. That'll get you a range pass that's good for one year. Make sure to bring everything you'll need with you as there is no store on site. I like to print my own targets and I always set up as many as I can at once because you usually only get to swap them out two times during the hour long session.Enjoy!
Rick Jordan: Me and my fiancé went here are a couple weeks ago the staff and instructors were so friendly the people that shoot there are so nice made new friends my fiancé shot for the first time the instructors so I was trying to help her and we’re nothing but so polite and nice this is a great place and I thank you very much will be coming back
Skakub: Free. Professional staff, strict rules (good!), Never crowded- great for the new shooters, not intimidating. 10/10
Ross French: Very convenient, clean, and friendly place to shoot. Free entry. Schedule online. Bring your own targets.
Obbie Lewis: Took a pistol safety class here and made it my business to come back. Amazing atmosphere, great staff and always a better experience. PLUS parking is on site. Ha!
Colton Hayes: Not sure what everyone is complaining about. The safety measures this place takes are more than adequate, and the RSO's were the most respectful and helpful I've come across. Plus, it's FREE. Definitely will be returning.
Anthony Z.: Nice range, free to use. Must reserve a lane on the website before going.
Ron Croft: Free is the word for the day. You can't beat free when other ranges charge an arm and a leg. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You must attend a safety class before your allowed on the shooting range. The class is approx. 20 minutes. Listen careful to the range rules as they are different than other shooting ranges. If you don't listen and are caught disobeying the range rules you will be asked to leave. Bring your own ammo, eyes and ears there is no place to purchase the items. Do not bring in a Loaded Firearm. Arrive on time if your late they may not let you shoot.I would have given 5 stars but for the fact the range is not automated. It is still scary to walk out on a range and hang your targets. There are many safety features in place, but accidents do happen. Wake County please consider automating the range. Even if it means charging a small fee to shoot. Thanks to the Staff for the Wonderful Job they do you Guys/Gals are Number "ONE".

Wake Firearms Training: what do users think?
Christopher Holcomb: I took the concealed carry class and the instructors and the facility were great. They were both patient, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. Thanks again!
Cory Larsen: John provides solid instruction and great value and I came away from both courses (Defensive rifle and defensive pistol) with more knowledge and a higher degree of proficiency. If you own these tools, quality training is vital.
Perrezz' Watson: Mr John is a great teacher even though I didn’t complete my course but I still had an amazing learning experience
Carrington Fisk: Took the Concealed Carry training. John was extremely thorough and a wealth of knowledge regarding the legal and practical applications of firearms ownership and use in today’s world. Highly recommend and will be taking more advanced training courses soon.
Chadd Schwartz: John is a phenomenal instructor who has years of experience with firearms training. I've taken his Basic Pistol 1 and Defensive Pistol 1 courses so far and plan on taking more. He's very thorough in what he teaches in the classroom, answering any questions people might have and then you transition to the range, assuming that's on the agenda for the class you're taking, where you practice different techniques. John will go over everything, repeat it, and show you himself. He'll walk over to you while on the range and answer any questions you have or help you out if he sees you need it. Above all, he is extremely adamant about safety, both in the classroom and on the range. If you're looking for training beyond the CCW permit class, I highly recommend taking John's courses to get more experience and become comfortable with your firearm.
Ron Evans: I have taken several of John’s classes and have always come away with more knowledge and better proficiency with a firearm than I was before I took the class. Will definitely be taking more in the near future.
Dallas Apold: My 13yr old son and I did a private session with John and we got exactly what we were looking for and more. John was professional yet kept things light and fun the whole time. John is very knowledgeable and has a great training method for pistol and rifle marksmanship. He encourages questions and I appreciated the hands-on approach to learning. I highly recommend Wake Firearms Training.
Kathryn: My husband and I attended the Basic Pistol class. It was excellent! The instructors were great teachers sharing their expertise clearly. We learned much from both the classroom and the range time.
Gij 74: Excellent class! If you are a gun owner you should take this class. It will provide more detail than the CCH class as to when you can LAWFULLY use lethal force against an assailant.
Christine Alexander: Over the weekend, I took a Firearms and Self-Defense Law class offered by Wake Firearms Training. I have a CCW permit so I've had some of this already, but it has been a while so I thought I could do with a refresher. Wow, did this class open my eyes! In this 4-hour class, I learned more than what was taught in the 8-hour CCW class, and more than what was taught in a seminar I attended that was put on by one of the firearms liability insurance providers. We touched on Federal, State, and local firearm laws; we received detailed, pertinent information on how to carry, where to carry, the requirements for claiming perfect self-defense, a deep-dive into Castle Doctrine; and a good bit of other law-related information. The class was kept at 12 so we had ample opportunity to ask questions. I highly recommend this class to everyone who owns a firearm, both as a starting point and as a refresher.
Rumpelstiltskin C: John stole membership informationWake County Firearms Education and Training Center and sent out spam non-stop, not even an unsubscribe link in the email. They should be investigated for their marketing practice. How did Wake County/range vendor let John got his hands on public range membership data?
Silvio Lanaro: Very good session and training on the firing range....the instructors were excellent and made the session fun and informative at the same time 😀 they were very patient with us first time gun owners...at the same time stressing the fact that handling pistols can be dangerous! My wife and son were also part of the class! Silvio Lanaro
MaryLynn Tully: What a great class! I took the basic pistol class yesterday an it was awesome. I love John's teaching style because he gives a lot of information about the science behind the marksmanship and that appeals to the physics geek in me. Barry and Ed helped me to learn to shoot my new 9mm pistol. They are all patient, kind and encouraging. Just the right mix of constructive criticism, positive feedback and time to practice. John also did a great job with the conceal carry course I took with him back in May. With the way things are going in this world lately, it's really important to have a good education on how to be safe and responsible AND have fun doing it. Thank you gentlemen. I'll be looking at the defensive courses next I think...
Kayla Hicks: I never shot a gun in my life. I was petrified and almost dreading coming to the basic firearms class, but because of Barry, John, and Ed, I feel confident in handling basic hand guns and I had FUN! I’ve been on the other side of a bullet before and today those 3 helped me pushed passed that. I can’t wait to go back to the range.I can’t wait to take more classes with them. They are so knowledgeable and deliver content in an easy way I wish I could give them 10 stars!
Ron Stoppenhagen: Knowledgeable staff and excellent training
Ed FLETCHER: The best training in the area with highly qualified instructors. Areas of training range from Intro to Pistol ownership; Basic Pistol; Advanced pistol & rifle.

PC Shooting: what do users think?
Omar Perkins: Awesome instructor!!!
Mitchell Bowyer: Incredible CCH instructor.Although he's anything but PC haha.Knows the laws very well. Worth every penny!
Randy G.: I had lots of fun and learned alot in cch class the first time so to renew my license I am going back to them and I recommend them Roger is a great instructor
John Morales: The class was educational and well put together. Information was delivered in a way that an experienced shooter down to a inexperienced shooter can understand. When recertification comes up I will be using PC Shooting again.
Richard Lopez: What a fantastic crew!! It has been a long time since I attended a class where the instruction was tied into relevant examples and stories! Never a dull moment! Roger, Zach, and Will did a great job!! I will definitely attend their Advanced/intermediate CCH class!! Thanks guys!!
Steve Mesa: I first came to PC Shooting for a follow up class to the CCH that they offer called A(fter)CCH. It was a well-designed and well-run class that helped with the next step of pistol shooting skills. Roger Pettit II is a patient yet enthusiastic instructor, as are his assistants. He's not so dogmatic as to dictate about how he wants you to do every little thing, but he offers advice to cure the problems you may demonstrate on the range. He may make suggestions on stance or grip, but what he really does is expertly gauge where you are and guide you to get better. He's very perceptive and supportive in that regard. In the ACCH class, we put 300-400 rounds downrange in various target scenarios and under varying time and noise pressures. I learned a stunning amount, and it was a ton of fun. Roger also runs a tight ship when it comes to safety, and there was more than sufficient supervision. In talking with Roger during the breaks, I realized that I had missed out on a lot of discussion in the CCH class which I had taken from a different company. So, in my continuing effort to get better, I decided to retake my CCH class with PC Shooting despite my already having a valid permit.Unlike the other company's CCH class, which consisted of some discussion and a lot of watching videos (which frankly weren't germane to learning), Roger's class was 8 hours of straight discussion (with range time after). We covered plenty on common and statutory law and spent a LOT of time on possible scenarios that you might find yourself in and the repercussions of various responses to those scenarios. Roger is a very smart guy, a straight-talker, and he has strong opinions, but he also is completely open to questions. He can also really tell a story, during which he laughingly reminded us that he was getting to the point. I'd recommend to anyone looking to get their CCH to go to PC Shooting and Roger. It's a great deal for what you get, and he even threw in lunch! It also is a great first step at being a responsible CCH holder.I look forward to more classes with PC Shooting.
Allen Jones: Rog,Yesterday was eye opening to my wife and I.  We talked about the value you brought to us, not just pertaining to the CCH, but to life in general.  We feel better equipment mentally, to handle scenarios. We also recognize that this is just the start and have a commitment to put the work in to better ourselves. It is clear to us both that we are living in a 'bubble' and the fact that there is a tremendous amount going on behind the scenes than we cannot begin to fathom. I want to thank you for integrating your personal stories into the class.  It brought it to another level and drove the point home.  We look forward to our next class with you.
Billy Johnson: Great classes and really devoted teachers. These guys are doing what they love and that is exactly who you want to learn from. I will definitely return for more!
Cara Davis: Best instructor hands down! Roger stays in touch with you after your CCH, not only to offer other classes, but also to assist you with finding the right gun for you and any other help you may need. Can't wait to take my ACCH class this month!!
Mia N: My mother and I took the NC Concealed Carry Handgun class in early September. Immediately we were captivated by Roger’s personality. He is comical, informative, and caring. Roger frequently shared his personal stories which allowed us to connect with and to understand the content being taught. As Daniel H. Pink wrote in A Whole New Mind, stories are easier to remember because in myriad ways, stories are how we remember. Narratives are the fundamental instrument for thought and understanding. I recommend PC Shooting without reservation. Rog is remarkable, and his teammates are just as terrific.-Mia and Mom
Jessica Fairchild: Overall fantastic experience, I had never shot a gun before and he made sure i passed the shooting test by taking the time to go over the correct way to shoot. Very funny and down to earth and teaches the correct way and all the laws you need to know about concealing a handgun. The best practices and overall do not use the gun unless you absolutely have to. Take his classes you will not regret it.
