American Woodyards: what do users think?
Monica Schario: Always able to find a good piece of wood for my projects.
Scott Capouch: Great, dry fire wood. Burns clean and does not go out until the wood is gone. Highly recommend for fireplace firewood.
Cutting it close hauling and transport: Never disappointed here! Great people and great products.
Kristopher Brown: I ordered a half cord of kiln dried fire wood. The ordering was easy, the delivery was next day, and the quality of the burn is perfect. Barely any smoke and the coals burn hot and slow for cooking over the pit.
Nikki d: When I say these are some of the nicest folks I have met, it isn’t an exaggeration. I’m a ten-year Cary resident but came from rural NC - it has been a long time since I’ve been able to meet with folks so friendly and skilled. Great and professional workers, beautiful work, great price. Thanks for having a sawmill for our community!
d d: Lame response from owner. I was not "disappointed"....I was cheated by a large degree. No way a mistake of double on the weight is legit whether I could see the scales or not...which I did not. Bought a small pile of hickory, kiln dried sold by $.14 per pound according to website. In office I was told $.19 per pound. I was told it was 150 pounds of hickory. They weigh your car prior to loading and after loading. No receipt given. You cannot see the scales and take their word for it. Weighed it at home..77.8 pounds. Should have been charged $10.89 cents. Was charged almost 3 times as much. Not so much on a small amount...but if I bought a couple cords it would be a lot. My scales are digital and cannot be off by that much. Also it was a disorganized mess and a large dump truck almost backed over me. Dangerous woodyard. Won't return. Charged me triple what they should have. Buyer beware. I bought a small amount the first time as a test. Sadly they failed. I was charged $28 and change for 77.8 pounds.Owner's response to me was lame. I was told in office it was 150 pounds. It WAS NOT. Also says busy on Fridays. I did not go on Friday. Cheated me, and then had the nerve to tell me to have a blessed day.. Guess we all know what Jesus thinks of cheaters, thieves and dishonest merchants. Again, buyer beware. Guess especially so on Fridays.ALSO HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS THAT I GOT ONLY ONE VIEW.
Teri Marshall: Until a couple of months ago I would have given them 5 stars and have recommended them to others. The kiln dried wood is great but I can’t get a delivery. I requested online. I got an email that said try again in January. Requested again in January. I received another email that said they would call me the week of January 24 to schedule the first week of February. No call. I called them and left voicemail. No call back. Made another online request. Crickets. Very disappointed. I’m going to order green from Craigslist so it will be seasoned for next winter.
Jon M: Great price, reasonable delivery fee to Cary. Will be using them again next year
Jose Francisco Rincón Ramos: Empresa de madera y maquinaria
Arkham I.V.C.: First time stopping by, much better deal than you’ll get firewood at a grocery store bundle. The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the process.
Harrison Bennett: American Woodyards is an easy 5-Stars from me! Great customer service, right when we got there with someone there to show me around. Secondly, there are great prices! I only paid $40 for kiln dried and pre-surfaced live edge Walnut that was 10 foot!
Tom Murphy: Great customer service, great selection of wood. Found the perfect double live edge slab for a shelving project I'm planning. Great prices too! Highly recommend!
American Arborist: Lowest paying sawmill in North Carolina. If you want to throw away your wood and wait an hour to be unloaded, these are your guys!
Mark Welsh: Buy all my firewood here. The process is very efficient and the pricing extremely reasonable. You can pick your own firewood, so you can get the sizes that work best for your fireplace and style of burning (yes, it's a thing :)). During certain high demand periods it's advisable to call ahead and check availability.
C C: Great place to take saw logs, get green or dried fire wood in any quantity, or get a wooden mantle made.
megan brame: The cheapest place to get a trunk full of kiln dried firewood!
Bryan Bolduc: Paid upfront for 800ft of 1x6" rough cut pine and was told 2weeks. Checked in at 2 weeks for ETA and never heard back. Checked in at 3weeks and was told air drying might quicker than waiting for a kiln. Was refunded in full. Wasted 3weeks and now way behind schedule. Not a great experience
j: The other reviews were good, so I tried going there today (Tuesday) around 3:00. It was a free for all. I waited a while, but it did not look like there was any organization. with cars and trucks everywhere. No waiting line at all. If you like Walmart on Black Friday this might be a good business for you. Not for me. I left. Guess I am going back to splitting my own.Update Jan 2021 - I appreciate the response, maybe the business was just overwhelmed that day. Because of this I returned twice, but there was no wood in stock. I finally had to go elsewhere. Out of stock could just mean it is a good value, so in fairness I'll change the stars from one to three. I will not need wood again for a while.
J.J. Meidl: Great options for firewood! Kiln-dried is the way to go at American Woodyards.
Shannon Schad: This is the best place to get great firewood kiln dried at a great price. Pull up on the scale get the thumbs up. Load up your vehicle. Pull back onto scale get thumbs up and pay. Best firewood in Raleigh!
Paul Morlier: Great price for dry firewood and about as convenient as it gets.

East Coast Firewood, LLC: what do users think?
James Williams: Had a half cord prestacked pallet of 2-3" wide sized wood delivered for my new pizza oven. Looks great and I didn't have to stack anything myself. Wood is clean and easy to light. Their charcoal is excellent as well.
MexicanPhenomenon: If you need any kind of wood to burn for campfires, for cooking or even mulch East Coast Firewood has it. They have the best kiln dried firewood!!!
Brooke Stacy: Fast service, very friendly staff, reasonable pricing.
Helen Pazdziorko: Dale was a lot of help during his delivery. Will definitely be buying from you guys again.
MG “s4ndm4n2006” Beers: Super dry, clean firewood! Very satisfied.
Kacy Riley: I had the privilege of being helped by Karl, who was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for the excellent service!
Tommy K: My son is small and he was super interested in ECF’s booth at the State Fair. He had lots of questions and was probably bugging the representative but they took time to talk with him and let him eat their candy. My son was gifted a great hat from their booth and loves flaunting his new gear and telling us what he learned. Cheers to the folks at ECF for being so approachable and kind, we will share the story of this good will and send folks your way!
Taylor Mock: Excellent fast service
Allysia M's Dreamcatchers & Accessories: This is an amazing place of business. Great and fast service. Exceptional. Local and convenient for your needs.
Richard Haynes: This is a really nice place, very friendly staff here. Heading back for more wood.
DeMario Metts: Great job to have. Can quickly advance with the right skills.
Amber Allison: The kiln dried wood is so light weight my kids can carry it to the fire pit.
Cedric Lewis: Got me loaded up fast and employees where nice.
David Mayr: Go to location for fire wood.Recommend.
Carl Martin: Nice
Mustafa AlYasiri: Fast loading and amazing guys at both the office and shipping, thank you guys for being such a great people.
John Riley: I really hoped that East Coast Firewood was going to be the answer for kiln dried firewood. I rented a truck and drove to their facility, loaded 1100 pounds of firewood and returned to Raleigh. About half of the firewood will not burn, it simply has too much moisture. The rest burns well, but I cannot recommend this supplier based on my results. Their advertising is false and cannot be trusted. If the wood had been kiln dried correctly I would have had a great deal more firewood for 1100 pounds.Thank you for your conscientious reply and generous offer. I will contact your office.I contacted the office and spoke with Jason. He explained the difficulty they've been experiencing with all the rain, and how they go to great lengths to ensure their kilns are working properly. Today he delivered a pallet of wood to my home in Raleigh at no charge (for the wood or the delivery). The amount he delivered is considerably more than what I had trouble burning. I won't be going anywhere else for firewood!
Wayan Vota: ECF Kiln dried wood is less than 10% moisture content compared to 15-20% for seasoned wood I find from other places. This means a faster, hotter fire in your fireplace. You pay more for the luxury - 25 cents a pound vs. $25 for a pickup truck full from Coates. If it's been raining for days, like this winter, then it's worth the price, as Coates firewood is wet and their back lot a sea of mud in the rain. Yet ECL is dry wood and clean pick up lot. This isn't a knock against Coates, just a different experience. ECF was well worth it when I needed dry firewood in bulk now.
Tommy Freeman: This is some of the best, easy to lite, clean burning wood I have ever bought, I am a customer for life. Thank you for the great service!
SHELLEY MILLER: High quality firewood! This has made all the difference this past year with our favorite activities, enjoying our fire pit at home and my husband smoking meats. This firewood makes an incredible difference in the flavor of our food and insanely less work to light and keep our fire pit rolling! Highly recommend!
K Venable: The best customer service and the kiln dried firewood makes all the difference! Worth every penny!

NC Green Heat: what do users think?
Stuart Arny: NC Green Heat has the best seasoned firewood. They consistently deliver year after year. I have tried several firewood suppliers and no other comes close to the quality.
Mike Revoir: Ordered a face cord of wood and am very pleased with its quality. Super dry. I saw maybe a couple ants and that was it. Extremely friendly to work with and ordering by text made it even easier.I will definitely be buying my next face cord from them.
Brian Lemm: Bought wood from here. Saved a small amount by picking it up. Wood was split and cut great as told. Next time I will have it delivered to save my back. I am too old for labor. LOL
Ellen McDaniel: I wrote in an order at the website at 10 pm on a Monday. NC Green Heat delivered and stacked a face cord 15 hours later. They were onsite on time and finished in less than 30 minutes. Prices are clearly posted on the website. Haven’t had service any faster or better. Wood is split, not whole, well seasoned, ~15 in long, and burning beautifully same day as delivery. Thanks Jon Paul and NC Green Heat!
Laurence Mancini: Great customer service. Jon Paul addressed initial concerns with our first delivery immediately and with courtesy. They went above and beyond to make it right. I would highly recommend them for your firewood needs.
Michelle Bachman: Wonderful firewood company! We recently moved to Cary. I called over 6 companies for firewood, NO ONE would help. NC Green Heat delivered and stacked the wood. We will utilize them in the future! We are looking forward to making many memories in front of the fire utilizing NC Green Heat firewood.
Rainer: Very friendly and personable! Has a fair variety of old and new wood and very reasonably priced! Much better than getting wood from a store.
Tom Murphy: Called Saturday afternoon, they delivered early this morning. Wood is in good shape, and exactly how much they claimed for the price. Highly recommend.
Miguel Bonano: Andrew was very helpful when I asked about pricing and the type of wood to use in a outdoor fire pit. John’s team delivered the firewood on time and stacked it. John and his team were friendly and hard working. I will would use NC Green Heat again!
Marc Ellis: Andrew and John are awesome! They have bbq cooking wood and seasoned firewood year-round. They are located in Wake Forest, but close to North Raleigh. Check em out!
Paul Smith: Great company.
slime time with me: Best place to get your Christmas Tree in Wake Forest!

$5 FIREWOOD: what do users think?
Matt Ryan: Good wood! 5 bucks an armful. I got 20 bucks worth. But one thing...the driveway is actually on Farless. Google Maps will take you past it one house. And say it's on Leesville. Looks like new road changed driveway...
Travis: Great hardwoods
Luke Vandergriff: Best place in town to buy firewood.
Dan Kahn: Great deal, super easy and convenient. It has been raining for the last week. Today was the first sunny day and the wood was dry!
Charles Morris: On your honor, get an arm load I got three and left $15. Thank you very much for doing this this was the easiest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Joseph Gerber: Pleasant owner, basic firewood
