Rooms are clean and tables quite comfortable.Big complaint continues to be lack of comfortable temperatures in the massage/facial rooms. I’ve complained a few times but no change. Why? Can’t imagine turning the heat up a degree or two will break the bank…I’ll continue with my membership for now but wish their commitment to excellence transferred to listening to their customers!!

Elena Mast: The therapists are great here, the problem is scheduling and management. It is impossible to get an appointment unless you’re lucky enough for a waitlist spot to open. Don’t bother getting a membership, you can’t ever use your credits. I have a gift card that I have been trying to use but most likely won’t be able to use it because you have to schedule 3+ months out. Use a small personal massage parlor and support small business instead of this chain.

The therapist are not a problem but the scheduling and management are terrible. Recently I have to schedule months in advance and thats very hard as a working mom. I would love to speak with the owner about my recent experience. I just know this is not how they would want their spa to be represented. At least that's not how they ran it for many years. Unfortunately for everyone I believe it may be time to part ways.

Crystal Harkless: So, I decided to try out True Rest Float Spa yesterday and I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I was a little nervous because I can't swim at all.🤔😂 However, I had no issues floating with all of the salt in the pool.It was so relaxing to just float around and listen to the spa music. They also have several music stations to choose from that help with relaxation. The pods are in private rooms with the showers, so you can choose to wear a bathing suit or float in the nude. The rain shower was awesome and I love that they had everything you could possibly need afterwards ( body wash, deodorant, blow dryer, q-tips, combs).🤩I especially loved the space they had for you to lounge after your float session! They provided journals, adult coloring books, pens and coloring pencils for you to use while using the oxygen bar. The oxygen bar had some really cool options as well like lavender, eucalyptus and vanilla. It was my first time and a sister was feeling very relaxed as you can probably tell in my pic!😂Needless to say, I'm going back! Careen was my float specialist and she was super helpful and took the time to explain everything. Their memberships are reasonable with no long-term contracts. Reeze The Vampire: I had a pretty solid experience here. The facility is clean and calm. My float was great, the price was right (for the first float discount). The issue with True REST is the atmosphere. I wanted to go an have a relaxing hour; that's it. Instead, when you arrive, it feels like they are trying to get you to join a cult - you watch a strange video of pseudoscience, are led on a tour, get talked to like a child, everyone talks in a near-whisper and tries to offer you services and add ons. I was immediately asked upon exiting the pod to join the membership. TLDR: it felt inauthentic.Overall, the float itself and the facility is great, but the customer service and atmosphere made me substantially uncomfortable. Floating in water is a good way to relax; it is not therapy, and it is not a lifestyle, stop treating it as such.

Sarah Caswell-Morley: what an experience!! they say floating takes practice, and i definitely need practice, but i still feel so happy with my first experience! they walk you through everything and make it as easy as possible. each pod room is very private so you can feel totally relaxed and even play your own music. the facility is very clean and organized. the staff are very friendly also! i enjoyed the oxygen bar and writing in the journals after my float. i’m still feeling so clear-minded since then!

Sandra Castillo: Save yourself from being ripped off by this spa. They advertise and sell services through Groupon, and for the past few weeks they claim they do not have any openings. Last weekend I called they said they had for every day but the day I called. I called today and they are apparently booked until October for couples to get reflexology services (granted this is what they sell on Groupon.) When I asked when was their next appointment in general, they said they had none at all, no massages, no reflexology, until October. Oddly enough, I have called this week and received a completely different answer. So I am out $120 for services they sell and I can’t use because now they will expire. That is false advertising and deceiving marketing practices.

J K: This place is AMAZING!!!! I haven't been to many spas in my life - the only other place I've been to is a couple of Hand & Stone locations - but this Spavia location blows their aforementioned competitor out of the water. I went in for a facial and a hot stone massage today.Spavia felt more a like an actual *spa* in comparison to Hand & Stone. Once you arrive, you undress and change into a robe that they provide you and you place your belongings in a locker. From there, you sit in a waiting room (the "retreat" room) filled with fake candles (real ones would be a huge safety concern), ambient music playing, complimentary tea (with many different flavors!), and heated neck pillows. The waiting room felt so relaxing and I almost drifted off to sleep with how calming everything was! The neck pillow certainly didn't help. Lol What I noticed - a stark contrast between Spavia and Hand & Stone - is that Spavia did its best to set the "mood" before I entered my massage room. Hand & Stone just sends you off to your session without creating such an atmosphere.My masseuse, Nicki, was absolutely fantastic. She was very respectful and attentive, and asked how I was doing every so often. She went over the medical information I entered on the form before the session started, and spent a lot of time on the problem areas I pointed out. The hot stones she used weren't too hot and she even used them on my arms and legs - something I didn't experience at their competitor! She lathered me in lotion - not enough to overdo it, but enough to make me feel soft and silky. I honestly cannot get over how much I enjoyed the experience provided by Nicki - the hot stones felt so HEAVENLY against my tense muscles!!! It was absolutely divine!!! She also did some glute compression exercises that helped release the tension in my hips. I felt so much looser (not sure if that's a word, but whatever) after this massage. Thanks Nicki for a FABULOUS experience!Now I can't forget about my facial! My esthetician was Claudia and she also did a great job. She was very thorough and took her time applying the different products to my skin. I originally scheduled myself to get one of their more intense facials (an acne peel), but because I used a prescription cream with Retin-A in it within the last couple of days, Claudia brought it to my attention that that wouldn't be a good idea (to do their more intense facial). I sincerely appreciated her bringing this up; otherwise she warned me that I could have had a bad reaction (e.g. a drawn-out, severe, peeling episode). Yikes! I really do appreciate her bringing that up to me - I honestly didn't know! She recommended a gentler facial peel that they had and I took her up on the offer right away. She even informed the front desk receptionist of this change on my behalf. Claudia was very personable and apologetic, especially when she did the not-so-fun extraction part of the facial process. It was a little painful, but she did her best to get the dirt out of my pores! My face felt refreshed and silky-smooth after the facial was over. My experience at Hand & Stone, meanwhile, left me with a very dry face after the session ended. When I am in the Cary area next time, I am definitely going to try that more intense facial I missed out on!!!I really had a wonderful day today thanks to all of the wonderful ladies I met at Spavia. A HUGE thank you to Nicki and Claudia for doing a wonderful job!!!!If you are in the Cary area and ever need a day of relaxation, you can count on Spavia to give you the experience you need!

The front desk person was really friendly and helpful.They provided a nice comfortable robe and slippers to use during the services. The locker room was equip with showers, towels, lockers, and some toiletries if needed. The retreat room was cozy with water and tea.I tried the salt stone massage which was heavenly. I loved the warm temperature of the stones and the grittiness from the salt felt great on the skin (and exfoliated). Alisha was amazing. I loved how she took the time to understand my likes and any aches, pains, etc. She was pleasant, massage pressure was great, and i felt safe and welcomed. I definitely will be back. 🙂

I would give the massage a 5 star but the facial wasn’t what I was expecting for their premium deluxe hydra facial package. The equipment was old/outdated and most of the facial consisted of facial oil/moisturizer massage. The whole facial process did not make sense. Also the hydra facial is just a suction extraction, not the same as a Hydrafacial! Not worth the price. Would come back for a massage only.*** Jing called me back for another facial. She was kind and attentive to my skin care needs. She is very passionate about skin care and aspires to have the best equipment.

Sarah Caswell-Morley: massage itself was great but i honestly felt very uncomfortable for most of the experience. this was only my second massage ever, and i certainly don’t remember feeling so uncomfortable for the first one (which was at a different spa). my therapist spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner for the first half of the session or so. perhaps she started to get the hint when she simply could not get the knots out of my muscles because i was so tense. i was debating abandoning ship at any given second. the facility itself is very clean. i do wish they had a nice changing room/relaxation area like other spas i’ve been to. instead it was “okay ready for your massage? here’s your room get undressed let’s go”. i definitely understand now why other spas encourage you to get there early to have time to change and completely relax before your appointment. i will say my muscles do feel way more relaxed now post-massage, but generally i wish the experience as a whole had gone better. perhaps this place is for the more “seasoned” massage-receiver.

The style of massage was Chinese accupressure but in a relaxing setting with hot stones and clean rooms. I don't know of anywhere else that does this kind of massage. She has such a variety of services and I can't wait to come back and try everything!

Megan Lin: Hugo is great! I’ve had regular massages in the past. Was visiting Cary for the holidays and lucked out finding Hugo. He was able to loosen the tension in my neck and shoulders without causing pain or soreness I sometimes get after a massage. I feel like I have increased mobility in my neck. He was very considerate with the blanket/sheet placement. It was clear he was responding to what knots and tension he felt and not just running through set planned motions. Place was small but clean and modern. Hallway noise was a little loud at times. Online booking was easy. Receptionist was nice. I will be back on my next visit to town!

A Sha: First time there I used their combo package of 90 mins facial & massage with xtra $15 add on to use CBD oil for massage. Managed to get same day appointment. Cassey did excellent thai massage, she has very good technic and loved how she worked slow firm movement with just enough pressure & helped relieve my strained neck, shoulder, arm without feeling any soreness later. She used some hot stones as well. CBD oil massage is very relaxing. Would ask for Cassey again. Jing did a nice job with mini facial. Her Soothing hand felt nice on face, scalp, neck & she gave good pressure points on hands. During facial, she asked if I wanted to extend my facial session to one hour with $30 add on & some other eye treatments which I cordially declined & said would keep in mind for next time. Ambience of the place is pleasant. It is neat & clean.

Laura Nelson: An absolute hidden gem. Amy at the front desk is so lovely and helpful. My therapist Helen did the most incredible massage and facial that was leagues better than the ones I got at some fancy five star hotel in Charleston! Visiting Spa by Jing will definitely be my new monthly routine. 11/10!!!!
