gmanrocksteady: Dirty, trash everywhere, I filled up three garbage bags full of trash, was nice to see the wildlife officer and he ticketed some people that did not have a fishing license

Andy Bruner: Great place for an excellent view of Jordan Lake and the Haw River. It is a wonderful place for fishing or birding. Eagles and ospreys are seasonal denizens of the area. The area has great hiking potential, decent bathrooms, and a playground for the kids.

Michael Greenham: Picnic areas bathrooms and plentiful parking let's you watch the out flow of Jordan lake. These pictures are a few years ago when they were discussing huge volumes of water. Most times people fishing and a calm steady flow.

ki mc: Very clean, Long pier, mini mart near by has bait, can fish along dam, plenty of lighting, picnic area, playground, great for fishing. I caught crappie and catfish. A beautiful site! Bathrooms dark and dank at night. Definitely does not feel safe.
D. Rent: Snag on lines in the water.. please come out and clean it up. otherwise great fishing hole

Gaming Lab: Excellent place for a fun day out and a bit of BBQ
Rebecca Riordan: Beautiful! Clear water, quiet, & a nice trail to get to the water. We found a solid rock that was a neat 'beach' to sit on. Great bathroom & parking. There was also a park office/museum building. There is also boat access from some other area.

Kaonew P: The only open space for me. I came here for nature but be aware of rock n roll moving motor boats and people dragging their street boom box around when strolling. It took away the sound of the wind, sun, water, birds... Loud music if everyone could hear it over 1000 feet away it's too loud. Should be banned in State parks.

Eric T: Nice place to fish or walk a wooded trail. Also has a small area to get in the water and cool off. Great place to launch paddle boards or kayaks.Watch out for poison ivy just inside the tree-line in this area. It was pretty abundant last time I was there.

Kaine Beedenbender: This at the dam is such a pleasant place to visit. My pup loves the interconnecting trails, splashing in the water, and walk atop the dam. Very active on weekend , much slower on weekdays but still plenty of people around. The local trails meet the mountain to sea trail here at the rear of the ranger station. You can actually walk to the next part about 2.5 miles down the trail. It’s so cool all of the options.

Stephanie Frias: Nice and peaceful on the floating pier, family friendly and just nice to sit on for a bit. Occasionally speed boats go by, but a great place to go by on a nice day overall.

Polly Haze: We go here for sunsets, paddle boarding, and to play with the dogs. Very laid back and beautiful and walking trails. Easy to drive up and load or unload or walk to if you prefer. Perfect picnic spot.
