Morgan and Jonny had already been 'full service', helping me to find someone to tow it if need be and speaking with me about the possibilities. They spent about 1.5 hours checking it out. Then, a lovely and straightforward Morgan came out and told me it was "User error." Which I had expected was a possibility. Their rates are competitive (often better) to other shops in the area while also having VW/Audi/Porsche expertise. Brandon Hawkins: This is an edited review because I was compensated for further repairs completed by an Audi dealership after visiting Black Forest Technik. I want to emphasize that my car had extreme issues after being repaired by Black Forest Technik that weren’t present before being brought into their shop for the repair. I took my 2013 Audi Q7 with 80,640mi to Black Forest Technik in need of a diagnostic for a coolant leak on Thursday, March 3rd 2023. I had no check engine or malfunction Indicator lights other than low coolant prior to the car being dropped off. Their diagnostics revealed a broken crankcase breather assembly. They added that this entails replacing intake manifold gaskets (orange and green), coolant pipe, coolant crossover pipe, fuel injector seals, and an oil change. I was told that they would proceed with the repair when the parts arrived on Monday. I called the following Wednesday, March 8th to see the progress, and was informed that they will have to complete a second oil change (at my expense) to ensure no coolant had mixed with oil. I called again that Friday and was told they were now having issues with the heater blowing cold air. They said they were still bleeding the system to get air pockets out, so it should be ready Monday. I called Tuesday, March 14th and was told they will need to do another diagnostic (at my expense) to find why the car is not warming up correctly. I received a phone call Thursday evening, March 16th saying that issues had been resolved and my car was ready for pickup. Two weeks and $1,948 later, I picked the car up (80,676mi) on Friday, March 17th, after my overnight shift and drove home. After driving less than 20 miles, I go out to crank my car Saturday, March 18th, and experience an extremely rough idle followed by an EPC, ESC, and Check Engine Light showing 3 cylinder misfires, evap leaks, and a plethora of other codes that were not present when I dropped the car off on March 3rd. I had the car towed back to Black Forest Technik Monday, March 19th, for them to resolve the issue. I call them on Thursday, March 23rd to see if they had found the issue. They gave me a return phone call saying that after running tests, my car (with 80,696mi./Oil changes every 5000mi.), was experiencing PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE. They told me that I would need a new engine, and they don't do engine work. I once again had the car towed to an Audi dealership mechanic where they properly diagnosed the engine issue as a stuck open injector (interesting after Black Forest Technik replaced injector seals), costing me more time and money. The car was repaired by the new shop, and the car is now running fine. My car's engine had not failed.Service:General repairs maintenance

Jim C: Can’t even explain how fantastic my experience was with Black Forest. I dealt mainly with Jonny (and Morgan a bit) and these two guys are some of the nicest and most honest individuals I have met. My 2010 Audi q7 TDI had a high pressure fuel pump explode due to bad diesel and after bringing it two other places these guys were the only ones who were able to find and diagnose this correctly. I also dealt with insurance - while most companies would try to find a way to haggle and get it fixed not correctly - Black Forest gave me the CORRECT amount which actually salvaged out the vehicle. Talk about being honest. They did all that work for basically just the normal diagnostic fee. Not to mention I called them at least 20 times. Cannot refer them more and if you are looking for an honest auto maintenance shop who are the gurus of Audis/ Volkswagen (and many other cars I’m sure) … look no further.
