Pro's Epicurean Market & Café: what do users think?
Amanda Jones: Our experience was more grocery store hot bar quality than restaurant quality. The pasta was from a box and luke warm at best. The food took about 45 minutes once ordering to arrive. It appears they have many patio tables and are over seating what the kitchen can handle. My clam linguine came with penne pasta. They did remove the pasta from our bill and thankful for that gesture. Overall a disappointment.
Holly Sullenger: This place has really morphed into a great restaurant. I hadn't eaten here in years... What an excellent meal and amazing service! Will return often!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Craig Groce: We felt rushed...our entrees arrived before we finished our appetizers. They didn't serve water. Had to teach out to another server to order a second glass of wine.
Martha Zapata: Great restaurant in downtown Cary. Happened to walk in after being next door at the brewery. The service was beyond fantastic even though we walked in at 8:40 not realizing they closed at 9.The food was phenomenal, we started with the truffle pate which was smooth and creamy with just enough truffle but not too much to be overwhelming. I had the clams in white sauce and that sauce was so delicious I asked for a Togo container to take some home. Was delicious the next day with a toasted baguette. The best was the stuffed manicotti. The pasta is made in house and is thin, with almost the consistency of a crepe. They also have in house made mozzarella which was just so good. We spoke to the chef at the end to give him thanks and he mentioned that the manicotti is his mother's recipe! We actually returned a few days after our initial visit and had the sausage pie, another of chef's mom's recipes and it was spectacular! A simple buttery crust and sausage and homemade mozzarella inside, I would this every day if I could.I highly, highly recommend. The servers are all super attentive and friendly as well.

Stephanie Rockwell: Very pleased with this restaurant. It was our first time dining and the staff was very friendly. It has a refined but comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the lobster bisque, which was a special they were serving and I could have eaten several bowls, and the creme brulee.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carl Estrade: It was our first experience at St Jacques. The food is good. Service is good... even if two of our plates finished on the floor. But no body from the management approached us to say sorry for the wait! Even when we left. Not sure if we will return there.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Victoria Voight: I have eaten here several times. I have always loved the food but this time I was a bit disappointed. We had two specials, mussels and bouillabaisse. The stew had too much Sage. The mussels were plump but the sauce had very little flavor.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Ananya VanSula: Good French restaurant. Quiet. Perfect for date night. We had the scallops and crab cake, escargot, and lamb. We had two red wines: Domaine Paul Buisse and the Cosme, really good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Escargot, Coquille Saint-Jacques, Crème Brûlée …More
Richard Massong: I have waited several weeks to write a review since the dinners were rather appalling. My wife's escargot was over-cooked and my lobster bisque was very salty. As for the main course, my rack of lamb was ordered medium rare, and came out well done.A friend of ours ordered the same doneness and his was well done as well. The side that came with the lamb was also much too salty. And I like salt. We let the waiter know it was my wife's birthday and she ordered dessert. It came out with Happy Anniversary on the dish. Total lack of control over quality and the little details. Will not be back!!
Lindsay Mohr: Probably our favorite French place by far in the triangle. No mass produced food here. Every dish is clearly made fresh with care. I've never not had a top tier dish here. Everything is always perfectly cooked and gorgeously plated and the service is impeccable. My lamb was fantastic. The red wine reduction paired perfectly with it and very rich. My risotto was great and even the carrots and green beans were perfectly cooked with exactly the right amount of seasoning. The charcuterie plate was the most generous and varied I've had of any of the restaurants I've tried.
Brittany Clark: Update: removed a star for declining service. Food portions have gone up, quality down, and I can't stand the host. Went there to celebrate my 30th and he joked I was 26 then scolded me for not going with it? I'm not even old enough for that bs and I don't find it charming. Also the host is like 50 so why would he even care if I'm over 30? Men are so gross. We came here to celebrate our engagement and the staff was absolutely wonderful, they were very helpful about wine and food choices, and they were the perfect blend of professional and personable. The food was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this place for special occasions or just to treat yourself!
Daniel Strong: Great atmosphere and restaurant!! Reminds me a lot of Nice, France 🇫🇷. Highly recommend this place :)Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Duck Magret …More
Beth Kekes: Food was amazing, atmosphere was calming and inviting. I was pleasantly surprised coming to this place in a middle of a shopping center, but I was very impressed. The decor was quaint but intimate. The menu was very simple but elegant. I would recommend this to any person looking outside of the normal cuisine looking for a tantalizing tickle to the palate.
Pierre: Stopped by on a Wednesday night, not so crowded but we were told they were short on menus so we had to share one. Service was not attentive, and I had to keep looking for our waiter. Our water was only refilled once through our meal. I ordered the Foie Gras et Cerise Noire which was disappointing because the bread was ROCK hard, but not as underwhelming as the Carré d’Agneau d’Automne which wasn’t even cooked to the temperature I wanted, so I switched entrees with my partner. This was a very disappointing French dining experience, especially because we were celebrating a birthday. To top things off, Madi charged us for 2 desserts when we only ordered one. Attention to detail doesn’t seem to exist here.
Rick Long: The food and service was excellent! My only issue was that we were seated by a closed door, had there was cold winter air pouring in all around the door. It was so cold that I had to go get a jacket (and I don't get cold easy). For this meal price, I expect everything to be perfect.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Duck Magret, Coquille Saint-Jacques, Crème Brûlée …More
Elizabeth Cass: Wrote a review on open table but forgot about Google! So writing a very late review from April 2022 but had to write this review to tell you if you want good french food and wonderful service go here! My husband said it was the best french onion soup he has ever had! Escargot was delicious and authentic. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and felt very special- service was incredible! Merci to St Jacques!
Chef Chrissie Lapidow: Wow. Just WOW!!! From the moment we walked in and was greeted by Maddie’s smile, we knew we were in for a treat! Everything we ordered was exceptional - from the Chef Board and Onion Soup, to our dinners of beef tenderloin and rack of lamb, it was AMAZING. Not the experience we were expecting from a strip mall restaurant, but thoroughly impressed. Fantastic service from Maddie as well. Highly recommend!
Eric Moinet: Food: 4/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Seamus Mack: For an anniversary dinner, my wife and I found St. J's living up to the large number of very positive reviews. The meal overall was terrific with the only comments being that my wife's seafood risotto was a tad gummy with a bit much salt. My lamb was excellent. We shall be back soon.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

M R: I make it a point never to give a restaurant a bad review. I was a GM of a restaurant for 15 years before I started a business. I have eaten here probably 20 times and have loved it. Today again welcomed when we walked in. Waitress greeted us fine. Mom and I ordered and then down hill. First she never came back and mom said it's taking awhile and I realize it was 25 mins. Drinks were empty and people around us were getting food. When I finally ask she said I'll get a manager I wasn't asking for one but if the kitchen is behind maybe we can get an appetizer. She then looked at me and said I told you I will get a manager. I just shook my head cause i didn't ask for one. She came back finally with a refill and said the food should be coming soon. I said nothing and as she walked away to the POSI station she said classless. At the point I will never go back. Remind the waitstaff guest can hear what you say. Thank you.
