Jill Lycan: I called ProLift because I thought I needed to have one of my garage door openers replaced. When Jacob the technician took a closer look at it he told me that the problem was simply a corroded wire leading to the opener, which could easily be fixed. He also fixed another corroded wire leading to one of the sensors.It would’ve been easy for him to tell me that I needed to have a costly replacement, but instead he was very thorough, helpful and honest. He had more experience than another company who had looked at the same problem this morning and did not think to check for corroded wires.I don’t run across businesses like this every day. I would give ProLift my highest recommendation.

Tim Kingsbury: I am extremely happy with their work. My vintage 1987 garage door had a single panel that was decaying with age. American Pro offered to find an older matching panel in good condition. It took a few weeks, but they were able to locate a used garage door panel that was a perfect match. The repair was inexpensive and a wonderful alternative to installing a full pair of brand new doors. They also replaced my classic 1987 garage door opener that was on its last legs. Onri Ogunkile was a great guy, showed up on time, and took care of things to perfection. I'm very happy with the final results.

On the first trip they were able to get everything running but the laser began having issues again about a week later.I called late one afternoon and they had someone scheduled for first thing the next day. Gili came out and found that one of the laser sensors was beginning to fail and replaced it for me. Because they have a 30 day guarantee on their work, I didn't have to pay a penny for the second appointment.They had great customer service and awesome work. I'll be referring them to friends.

The call went well and a serviceman was scheduled for later in the same day. I received a text confirmation along with the technician's name, Devon Culver. Before the scheduled arrival time I received a text indicating that Devon would be arriving early. He arrived in a truck from American Pro Garage Doors of NC. When I questioned him regarding the apparent inconsistency in company names, I was told that Tip Top had gone out of business and that American Pro Garage Doors of NC had purchased their phone number. Since both companies had very good review ratings, I let it go.Devon did a great job in a short amount of time. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Two torsion springs and three bearings were replaced and the controller was readjusted. The cost was not cheap but based on my past repair history, it was not unreasonable. I recommend American Pro Garage Doors of NC and will consider using them if the need should arise in the future.

I've used his service three times now.The first time was about four years ago when my then 16-year-old opener was making painful noises and I thought it might need to be replaced. However, Aaron determined that it was just a worn out gear and easily fixed. He could have easily convinced me that a whole new unit was needed - but he was direct and honest, and told me just what was needed and didn't try to up-sell.About six months ago (mid-2019) the same garage door opener was giving me problems again - so I called Aaron. He told me again that he could probably fix it (for a reasonable price), and it would probably run a few more years, but by now it had already exceeded it's expected life span (originally installed by the home builder, 21 years ago). I decided to ask him to replace the unit, and he did.I'm very pleased with the product he recommended and decided a few weeks ago (Jan 2020) to install the same unit in our other garage, to replace the one there that was also 20 years old. I'm pretty handy and could handle the installation myself, but in researching, I found that I could get the product from Aaron, including installation, for less than I could buy just the hardware.That was a no-brainer. He just now left after completing that installation.I am completely pleased with every aspect of Aaron's performance, and welcome this opportunity to recommend him to others.

Andy Miller: Did a great job, quickly, and for a reasonable price. I was called about 30 minutes prior to arrival, and Area was left tidy and all old components were removed.Main concern is that I was informed by phone that we could repair for (trusting memory) $159 + parts which they would have in the truck or could get, or replace for between $500 and $800 depending on the level of garage door we got. Upon the next day arrival, the service technician, who was very pleasant and professional, said that they did not have the motor, and the motor was very likely old enough that it was better to replace.We got the lowest end replacement, which still very much meets our needs, and were informed it was $600, even after the coupon/discount that was discussed ahead of time. It was explained that the $159 charge for the trip was included regardless, which was NOT what was explained on the phone.We are very satisfied with the new unit, and I don't think the price was completely unreasonable, I just would've appreciated hearing the same story on the phone as I did at the service visit.For $600, we got a new garage door opener with VERY bright LED lights front and back, new chains and rails, new sensors, keypad outside the garage, two remotes, and the in garage push button, as well as an app for operation and both cars reprogrammed.

Robert Vearnon: This is the second time that we've used TGD and they didn't disappoint. The service and expertise was great. Our garages door wouldn't open all the way and my wife couldn't get her car out of the garage.We called and Damian came over the next day. He knew what the problem in an instant and showed me how the garage door just slammed shut when released.He asked when was the last time it had been serviced and I said it had been a while.He then went along and tighten all the spring bearings and then tightened all the bolts. Lubrication for the bearings was next and after that tested the door. It lifted up like new. He advised annual service and then like that was done. I was impressed with his knowledge and skills. I will definitely have them back for servicing . Thank you Damian and thank you Triangle Garage Door . They don't try to gouge your pockets but do great work.
