Garden Supply Company: what do users think?
laura gallo: I was looking for a Cascade Falls Cypress Tree and called there on my way from Southern Pines to Cary and the lady on the phone checked and they had one so I went in to Garden Supply. What an AMAZING place with AMAZING people. I have been gardening over 40 years and been to many nurseries, greenhouses, etc. and had never seen anywhere but here that had such a variety and selection and top quality products. Everyone there that I spoke to or that spoke to me first we're so wonderful. Very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to deal with. I drove an hour to get here and if you're thinking of going and your drive is over an hour it's well worth the trip believe me. This place does not disappoint. Thank you so much to everyone at Garden Supply that helped me today. This is my one stop shop from here on in!
M R: Third time visiting this place and every single time, I get the iciest reception. People who obviously work there and pass by me completely ignore me. When I try to catch one of them to ask a question, they turn away. Every. Single. Time. But when a couple of white customers walked by, they immediately get asked if they needed help. I know racism when I see it, and it was so apparent the staff favored certain “types” only. When I picked up several things to purchase and one or 2 of the workers clearly saw that I obviously needed help, like, right in plain sight in front of the checkout area, I got ignored. Only one person today finally offered to briefly help. I really shouldn’t have purchased anything with that kind of treatment but that one lady associate helped me change my mind, but I will NEVER go back. The icing on this horrible experience is the cashier barely said anything to me and didn’t offer any help to bring my purchases to my car. Just handed me my receipt as I thanked her inspire of her rude behavior. They are also way overpriced! I like supporting local businesses but these people are not worth it!
Thomas Holley: Beautiful selections in every department. Usually go here every weekend during spring and summer.Love the tree and shrub choices. Always forget to take photos cause I get caught up in looking at everything they have to offer.
Professor Mom: Drove from Clayton to visit this garden center after a friend told us about how nice of a store it is. It did not disappoint! Audrey that works in the houseplant area was LOVELY!! She was not only a joy to talk to but extremely knowledgeable and patient as we figured out what would work best for us. Great experience!!
Kate: Very beautiful place. Expensive in my opinion.
Nick Leger: This place is great. Every time I go in here (usually Saturday at noon) the place is very busy - but somehow, someone is always nearby to introduce themselves and ask if I need help (which I always take them up on). You can walk aimlessly around Lowes Depo and save a few bucks, or you can be guided around by friendly, knowledgeable staff and leave with beautiful plants and the know-how to ensure they flourish. I also had a large Arborvitae that died about a year after planting. They quickly provided a plant swap with similar but something a little better for the spot I had it in, and that one looks great 6 months in. Highly recommend giving them a visit!
Stephen Slager: Very busy but efficient. Great selection! Always fun to just wander around and see what's on offer
Mitchell Gaster: Great place. Great people. Pricey but worth it in my opinion.
Rachael Healy: Visited the Garden Supply Company yesterday for the first time because I received a mailer for $20 off any purchase. Gorgeous selection! Tons of indoor and outdoor plants and decor! Also they have bees on site harvesting local honey that you can purchase! Dani was also extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Jeff Smith: Always helpful, always stocked with everything you need, always someone to help you load your car.
Layla: Helpful and friendly, as always
Julie Carlino: It was expensive, but this place has true quality, and the best staff of anyplace.
Arline Pettengill: It was a great experience. I needed advise on an orchid, rabbits foot fern and iron cross begonia. John was extremely helpful and gave lots of good advise
Skeets Fish: What an exceptional experience I had at this nursery. I was in search for plants that attract butterflies and the lady who helped me was exceptional. She even gave me a printed list of plants that I could choose from! The checkout process was simple and easy. 5 stars
Billy Burdt: This place is awesome. If you need any expert house plant advice ask for Audrey, she's a rockstar!
Ian Schutt: WOW WOW!1) Amazing, expansive, eclectic selection of HEALTHY plants indoor and out.2) Huge selection of pots ranging from polished to uniquely hand crafted.3) Above all, workers with an encyclopedia’s worth of plant knowledge from care, potting, ideal plant environment, etc.Audrey spent 45 straight minutes with us helping us find the most beautiful indoor plants for our home and made the process fun and personal while ensuring she understood our space to find the best plants for US. (Worth noting - they have a TON of staff, so you’re not trying to find someone to help like you would at a big box store).Audrey and the GSC in Cary are hands down worth your time and money (if you so choose to buy from them).Awesome balance of practical plants and the more “unique” plants. If you go the “splurge” route, know that I’ve personally never felt more like my money was being well spent. And they’ll re-pot for a nominal fee using custom potting blends (for as cheap as you’d buy the soil).12/10 would recommend.
Jennifer Olcott: My husband and I have been a customer at the Garden Supply Co in Cary for many years. Last week it started to rain after I got there. An employee named Suzie was pruning flowers/plants happily in the rain. She offered me an umbrella to use while I was shopping. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you Suzie for going above and beyond especially in the rain. :)
Melissa Merritt: THIS PLACE. Not only is the selection outside amazing and full of beautiful plants; but it is so inviting with its cute little bone fire for th d cooler seasons. The inside is truly a sight to see.Adorable boutique? CHECKVarious crafting inspiring nooks? CHECKLabeled sections for various planting care, like dried flowers, terrariums, and air plants? CHECKLocally produced honey and a section for if you make your own? CHECKThe staff are ALL beyond friendly.Jason saved the day with teaching me the differences of different fertilizers, and the importance of certain pots for certain plants. I was able to walk away with the absolute perfect pot for my African violet at home and also the best fertilizer for my succulents! Shannon was also extremely helpful with signing me up for a discount at the register and finding the perfect holder for my boyfriends lucky bamboo.I ‘accidentally’ got lost and ended up in the boutique section where my boyfriend found me… with a coffee in hand. So, apparently they have coffee too! Truly, what don’t they have? The store is sprinkled with so many different sections of healthy plants. You can tell that they are getting taken care of, and my favorite part is that they have labels to show you exactly what they are and how they can thrive in your home.Thank you Garden Supply Company for making my day and bringing more life to my home! 🏻🌱
ivana susic: What a beautiful shop! There's a great variety of plants that are obviously well taken care of. Katie was so helpful. Looking forward to going back!
Jen Shorter: I just had the most amazing experience shopping for Christmas at the Garden Supply Company. Katie was the best, helping me pick the perfect tree, the prefect beautiful pot to put it in, and then she repotted it for me. Fantastic plants and friendly, helpful staff; It was the easiest holiday shopping I have ever done. I can’t wait to come back in the spring!
annie kimura: Finally posting my review from a few months ago. Nursery has great selection although way over priced. I ended up buying so many plants because the employee (Susie I think). Wish they had name tags. She literally spent an hour with my husband and I as we told her all of our plans and our wish list. She was able to take into consideration all of our very picky needs. She sold us the right plants that worked with our lifestyle and ability to find plants that were drought tolerant, didn't require constant trimming and that were hardy but beautiful. We got plants and shrubs for 4 areas of our front and back yard. She explained exactly how to plant and how to take care of and when to fertilize and prune. She typed all the notes on her phone and we took screen shots. She even told us to call her f we had questions when we got to planting them and maintaining them. She seemed to take pride in her job and had a constant smile you could tell she really loved helping people enjoy their landscape. We will be back as long as we have people like Susie that have the knowledge and patience to deal with garden newbies. Even with prices being double or triple what u can get at big box stores. That knowledge and her attitude made a world of difference. Thanks to Susie for all your help

Lowe's Garden Center: what do users think?
Elissa H: Found a young man who quickly volunteered to put the 6 bags of mulch in my car, unfortunately I didn't get his name. Too bad the 2 cashiers at the garden center can't learn from him. I visited about 1 PM on Wednesday afternoon May 19.
Jim Seaman: Amazing seasonal selection of plants - flowering plants to fruit trees.
Bryan R Shipp: Very hit-and-miss what they actually have in the store for the homeowner. Much more geared toward apartment owners and contractors; I often have to go to Apex, Fuquay-Varina or Garner to get what I need...or across the street to Home Depot.

City Garden Design: what do users think?
J Kep: Very knowledgeable staff and good looking plants
Emily K: This store has everything from cute unique pots to fun plants to beautiful decor. You can get cacti, succulents, Hoyas, air plants, and lots of leafy friends here. They’re also very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend a visit!
Sp00pyEevee: Shop owner was super nice and made sure to securely box our newest addition. Absolutely recommend if you want some awesome, healthy and reasonably priced house plants. They also have an awesome selection of really cool pots as well! Something for everyone!
Paul Millsaps: Awesome folks. Great experience
ivana susic: Very helpful, sweet staff. They have an excellent selection of plants that are obviously well taken care of. Their pot and accessory collections are great, too!
Patricia Strout: Really great plant styling ideas and staff are very helpful and knowledgable.
Meghan Reid: Got a plant on sale here and it is thriving. Really beautiful store.
Freda McKenzie: Stopped by here Sunday on our way back from the eastern part of the state. Used to live in Cary. Cary has just grown into the cutest little place. We went into City Garden Design and the young lady there working, Christine, was just so sweet. She also does the design work that you see in the store and it's amazing. If we lived closer I would be in there much more. So I got a plant, a stone and some hand cream and kept on my journey. But if you're around go in.
Caylee Hobson: Incredible assortment of plants! I absolutely love visiting!
Alyssa Johnson: Absolutely LOVE this shop! The owners are so nice and knowledgeable! The prices here are great, and the plants are amazing! Highly recommend!
J D: This store is only open 5 hours a day, Tues - Sat. I work standard hours so the only time I could go is on a Saturday. Made a plan and stopped in today, ready to buy several plants. The clerk was hyper vigilant any time I touched anything with a "can I help you?" None of the plants were marked either by name, growing conditions, or price. There was one clerk and several customers. She was running around the store unable to really be helpful to anyone. This was a VERY different experience than when we were in previously. We left without buying anything. Would give 1 star for today's experience but 5 for the prior visit. The store could benefit by making the information on plants available to the customer without the interaction of the clerk. Furthermore, there were several displays with a "do not touch" sign on them. We didn't touch these but it may have explained the clerk's odd behavior. Top tip: don't put out things in an easy to reach place if you don't want them to be touched; better still, don't display them at all.
Evan Callery: Great friendly vibes. If you're looking for somewhere to get started in plants or just looking for a gift it's perfect!
Reginold Jones: EXTREMELY pleased with my patio. They did a great job designing something that met my requirements and within my price range. Support this local business!!!
Jackie H: Today was my first visit. It WILL not be my last. Sometimes bigger is not always better. This is a small quaint store on the corner, but it is packed with beautiful plants, air plants, pots, candles, etc. You will not leave without buying something.
Lesley Kell: Great selection of beautiful plants and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Looking forward to going back soon!
Janna Martin: Great selection of pots and plants. The owner helped us pick out a few great pots, matched a plant to one and potted it for us. She was really knowledgeable and was able to tell us about the local potter who made the pots we selected. Reasonable prices too - we will definitely come back.
Libby S: I have to constantly resist the urge to go check out all the gorgeous plants at City Garden Design. It is apparent by the health of the plants how much care they receive and the quality you're getting for an extremely reasonable price. The owner is always friendly and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and support this local gem!
Rebekah Isgitt: My new favorite place to get houseplants. They have plants I never see anywhere else and for better prices than a lot of other places I've been in the area. Since making my first stop here I've found myself coming by once a week now. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone who's into plants.
Burdett's Woodworks: Very cool store in a great location, definitely have to pop in everytime I pass by to see what new things they have!
Abby L: Lovely shop! They have a great assortment of plants, pots, and accessories for very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
Div: Lovely place..

Fairview Garden Center: what do users think?
JM: Bought this beautiful Katsura Pieris. The staff were extremely friendly, and informative, answered all of my questions without hesitation. I would definitely recommend coming here, I myself will be back!
Dennis Unglesbee: Outstanding selections, staff that goes above and beyond to help so friendly. 10 on the 1 to 10 scale.
Matt Rogers: They have a pretty large variety of plants. They can be a little pricey. However the staff are super helpful. Everything's always clean and organized
David: Fantastic! By far the healthiest and best selection of garden plants nearby. Probably 5% to 15% more expensive than a big box "garden center" / outdoor section, but the health of the plants and obvious specialty workmanship are worth it. They clearly take pride in their work and want to share their love of plants and gardening with their customers, for whom they make it easy to succeed as hobby gardeners. Years ago I bought some plants here that grew where no other plant was able to, even though the soil was terrible and they kept getting run over by my son's toy tractor. We just got some vegetable and fruit starts that were very healthy, had excellent root balls, and simply were not available at any of the "garden centers" at big box stores. Friendly help and healthy plants make gardening a pleasure, and the same make Fairview a great place to shop.
Thomas Holley: Fairview has become our weekend go to place, they have the most beautiful selections that I’ve ever seen!!! Customer service is top notch and they’re are extremely knowledgeable and helpful!!!For me this place is like heaven on earth!
Ryan Orischak: Selection of plants is immense and staff is unbelievably kind/helpful. Was greeted and offered help by no less than five employees today. The plants we bought are just beautiful. Although I do wish they had a covered loading area for when raining, I have no complaints. Very happy this is right down the road, but would travel from far away for the 5-star service.
Harlan Stafford: Just in for some spring plantings of herbs, tomatoes and a few new things for the garden. It's always a great experience, discovering new plants, pots and interesting statuary, along with some decorative pieces to add to a stone deck. The staff is cheerful & helpful and check-out can include meeting you at curb-side for heavier items.Enjoy you visit: Not to crowded, highly deep and wide diversity of plants, freely service with quick checkout.
Julius Caesar: Excellent!!! Everything you need from a garden center or plant nusery to beautify home 🏡 inside and out. One of the most extensive variety of plants and especially flowers available in the triangle area. Its just gorgeous to walk around and enjoy the beauty of nature's color everywhere. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. 👍
Michael Hurd: Helpful informed staff and a great selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs...you name it
Ananda Lila: Huge variety of plants, helpful and friendly staff. We needed some suggestions regarding a live fence and vine wall, and the staff was extremely informative and knowledgeable. Pricing seemed fair, so now all we need is to get the ground ready. I drove 45 minutes to get there, and it was worth it.
D K: One of my favorite garden stores. Everything is so beautiful and healthy, and just walking in make you automatically happier.
Carol Davidson: Great selection. The people who work there are so helpful and give great advice and suggestions for enhancing my garden. My favorite garden place!
Reema Bhattacharya: A little piece of heaven for plant lovers. Healthy beautiful looking plants with friendly and knowledgeable staff and impressive variety. A plant lovers dream afternoon. A must visit. A small word of caution- the price tags are a little high compared to Lowe’s or Home Depot but I think is what you pay is what you get. Yet to find out but i am happy with my haul yesterday. Hope they make it.
Sarah Connor: Great place! Knowledgeable staff, huge selection and great pricing.
Kellie McLeod: I’m always impressed by Fairview Garden Center! I’m not plant savvy and the employees have always been super friendly and knowledgeable. The plants always look amazing. They even had a fun scavenger hunt today that kept my son entertained while I shopped!
Barbara Ilie: Jodi (sp?) was super helpful as she helped me pick out the plants for my deck with plenty of advice on the temperature tolerance of each one as we navigate these last cold spells. I look forward to going to Fairview each spring.
Sara Beach: I drove 40 minutes to get here and it was definitely worth it. They have a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants even though it’s October. They had a ton of pink princess philodendrons ranging from $40 to $500 (the latter was an insanely massive plant, I didn’t even know they got that big; the $40 ones are plenty big and nice). They also had a few string of turtles and incredibly variegated string of hearts for $30.
Deborah Peterson: Stop here everytime I visit N.C. Wonderful selection of plants and plant related gifts.
David Maxey: If you want top notch plants and are willing to pay the price this is the place to go. I would not recommend having them do the installation. We recently had about two dozen shrubs and plants installed. I told the workers that I was going to remove the remaining sod in the bed after their installation. When they left it looked good. When I started removing the sod I noticed that the topsoil mounded up around the root balls was there just to hide the sod. The top of the root ball was even with the top of the grass. I removed the sod and went and purchased a bunch of topsoil to build up the soil around the plants. The installation cost $400. 2 guys, 2 hours. $100 per hour for each guy.I recommend Two Brothers Landscaping for installations.
Trisha Wyman: The facility was maintained well and the staff were knowledgeable and considerate! They were patient with us while we decided on plants and also provided timely and reasonable delivery on our large trees. Thank you for a great experience
James Koss: $7 mints in small pots, long over-rooted and infested with ants. Now I have ants everywhere! I'd like a refund, but I'm not going back there ever again. Worst experience in many years of gardening.

Family Home & Garden: what do users think?
Maggie “Myst1kFlame” Sanders: Employees were friendly and knowledgeable.
TALIA Will Tell Ya: Found everything, priced RIGHT! Tracy is wonderful and I really enjoy her insight.
Susan Charlton: Great prices for high quality garden supplies.
Debbie Michelle Woolard: Good people very friendly
Ethan Aliff: Great customer service and product. Shop local!
Tara Williams: Delivery driver is irresponsible and causing hazardous driving conditions, speeding and staying in the left lane with the mulch load not properly covered and flying out all over the highway and hitting cars even when staying 400 feet back.
Sandi Dupree: I purchased the 50/50 topsoil for my garden. I have been extremely displeased. Before I ordered it I was told it was organic matter but after raking it out in the garden I have found lots of plastic, wood with blue paint on it, pieces of red netting, plastic kids toy army men and glass pieces and lots of very big hard clumps even after tilling it several times. I called and voiced my concerns because I have spent lots of money to get my garden totally organic. The guy there told me the owner would call me but he did not. I’m so upset with it because of all the investments I’ve made to make it organic and now I have several yards of this in my garden. Never again will I buy from here.
Ricardo Uribe: Love this company always does me super well when it come to getting mulch or any material i need for the job
John Medlin: Always very helpful and friendly here. Always a pleasure shopping there.
Robert Scheller: Low cost no frills efficient.
iPhoneIntact MOBILE iPhone & iPad Repair: Good spot for most of my lawn care needs.Great grass seed selection (don’t buy grass seed at a box store)
Doug White: Pine Straw in rolls - Very disappointed in the quality of the pine straw. It come in rolls instead of bales and the number of sticks, leaves, pine cones and other debris in the roll is terrible. Last year I had a delivery of some of the best quality pine straw I have had, but unfortunately, that gentleman doesn't provide that service any longer, so I tried Family Home & Garden.Next time i will be searching elsewhere.
Peter Brown: Friendly people, quick service, fair prices - they were cranking it out early when all the landscape companies were in line early in the morning!
carlos fernandez: Friendly
Michael Meagher: The people at family are as genuine as you can get.
Patrice Mckay: No plants, shrubs at this time of the year
Auntie B: The wosrt dirt ever to grow food and I told the lady it was for food so she said I needed 50/50 and it had garbage and glass! Shame on you all! All my plants are dying after growing them in smaller pot as well as purchasing them!
Ron Freeman: Glass in topsoil. There was more then this in the pictures but have just been picking it out and throwing it away. Very upset.
Cameron Scott: 30 yards of 50/50 soil and compost dumped this week. Some small clumps (smaller than football) around the edges, but that's expected. Next day delivery, friendly folks on the phone. Time will tell how the grass grows!Update April: generally very clean stuff. However there was some broken glass in the mix. Probably found 25 or so pieces slightly larger than a quarter, tho not particularly sharp. No roots, fungus, or weeds tho!Dutch white clover taking to it just fine. Expect no growth issues. Grass is certainly greener than the areas that didn't get any of this stuff.
larry hancock: Nice selection of yard and Garden supplies at good prices. Assistance with loading is quick and very helpful.
Boyd Bennett: I have used them for many years. Good products, good prices and friendly service.
