Y G: We drove an hour and a half in search of some specific apparel and were completely pleased with finding this amazing little shop. The selection of merchandise is not only incredible, but very reasonably priced as well…and the owner is so warm and welcoming. We were even not only offered tea, but he knowing how far the drive is for us, he even gave us his contact information and said if we ever were down that way and wanted to shop outside of normal business hours, to call and he will come open up for us. That level of kindness and service makes the drive worthwhile. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. I can’t say enough great things about this place…be sure to check it out!

Douglas Boud: This is a wonderful shop. It has so many beautiful items: clothing, home decor, and meditation support. The owners, Ngawang and Tenzin, are two of the sweetest people.

Harlie Mundy: Beautiful little shop with such a large selection, from prayer flags to crystal bracelets to hemp handbags, they have it all! Taking away one star because they are never opened on time which is an inconvenience but still a wonderful store.

Jess B: We ALWAYS visit when we are in town! This is our favourite Dharma supplier. They bring the best Tibetan and Bhutanese incenses as well as statuary, textiles, jewelry, books, and accessories from Nepal. The prices are both fair and fantastic! Tenzin and Ngawang, the owners, will happily explain the symbolism and significance of the pieces, as well as teach about Tibetan and Nepali culture. This is a real treasure!

Tracy Lockhart: The owners are so nice. For a small shop they have a lot of cool things! It has a peaceful feeling. I go there often to look around and always come out with at least one item purchased.

Sumeya Kiradoh: The cutest little Tibetan store that we stumbled upon yesterday ! There’s everything from bags, clothing, books, jewellery, beanies and hats, to incense and healing bowls. The owners were super kind and welcoming. The guy told us about the history of the Tibet people which was eye opening. Highly recommend if you are in the area♥️

Rebecca O'Sullivan: The owner has her dog there. It ran out from behind a curtain and started growling and snapping at my 3 year old. We didn't even approach the dog, my son is scared of them. It just ran out of nowhere trying to attack. The owner then came in through a backdoor and didn't even apologize. If that dog ever bites anyone, it will be put down, so the owner not only doesn't care about the safety of customers, she doesn't care about the life of her dog.

Tresca Dubuc: Went in with my deaf handicapped son and was met going out the door with the obvious owner/manager met us at the door. Treated very condescending. Never to be back. You bigoted...well you know! My son doesn't get many privileges he just wanted to see the shop. We are Latin and this is awful.I hope you have all the business you'll ever need. Oh and I think we will skip Christmas as you mentioned.

Beth Allen: The Ivy Cottage is a true gem whether you are looking for home decor or unique gift items. I was on a quest for wall art and accessories to add a punch of color and a decorator touch to my living and dining room. Lisa carefully listened to what I hoped to achieve, and immediately walked me through the store providing suggestions about what I could do to spiff up my current decor. I ended up purchasing some lovely wall art, pillows and a lamp, and I haven’t regretted a single purchase! Friends and family always compliment me on these new additions from the Ivy Cottage. My rooms have been transformed from so so to eye popping decor. Thank you, Lisa and associates for assisting me with this shopping experience!

I get overwhelmed when I need to buy a wedding, anniversary, or other special gift. Too many choices and too much guessing when shopping online. Jenna Levine-Neyen: First time visiting the shop today, a place I’ve been so excited to go to. I walked in on a woman with short curly dirty blonde hair scolding a fellow employee right behind the register. It was so embarrassing for me, let alone the employee. It turned my stomach and made me so upset. Such an inappropriate space to do that in. I browsed a little but ultimately left because it was such an unwelcoming atmosphere. I won’t be back because of that.

Shawna Lemon: I am compelled to write this review because today is Small Business Saturday, and I typically buy Christmas gifts from the Ivy Cottage on this day. There is no question that the items are great and unique; however, the customer service, namely from the owner, is TERRIBLE. As someone else mentioned, I too had never been treated so rudely. I have shopped in expensive places in various parts of the US and abroad, and never have I had someone use such a horrible tone with me, especially when purchasing hundreds of dollars of merchandise from their boutique. It was very shocking as I had been there many times previously and the employees had been very courteous. What precipitated this ordeal? I asked politely if I could have one of the many tea lights that was on display in the store to accompany a beautiful angel candle that I had purchased. The associate was very nice and went to get the owner (Lisa, I believe...). She said no. I then explained that I was in a hurry and really needed the tea light to complete the gift ensemble that I was on my way to deliver. I then offered to pay an extra $5 for a less than $1 tea light! The owner went off about how she couldn't do it and was just ugly. I promise you, she would not have missed the one tealight! My mother uses the phrase, "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face", and I feel as if I may be doing just that, where I like the merchandise and this place was recommended by a wonderful neighbor who is no longer with us and going there brings back fond memories of her. However, I will not sacrifice my dignity or support anyone who demonstrates such a lack of respect for others. She's not perfect and may have had a bad day like many of us have had, but it must have been a VERY bad day because her attitude was deplorable.

krista Hoey: I enjoy shopping here and look forward to buying unique gifts for people. Today however, I had a different experience from previous ones. I bought several gifts spending a couple hundred dollars and while I was waiting to have some things wrapped as a gift, the person who had helped me was being “schooled” on a previous transaction. It was embarrassing for the sales person and for me, the customer. I understand the importance of teachable moments- just wish it could have been done in private for both our sakes.

I went with friends yesterday and of course there are lots of special Christmas items now, but also non Christmas items too. There are room after room of lovely things, unusual, whimsical and practical. And all very attractively displayed. If you haven't been to The Ivy Cottage, go!

Amber Apostol: This is a super fun stop on the wine walk. The staff always look happy to great you with smiling faces and help you around the store. They typically have a number of great choices for your wine sample, along with some great food samples that are difficult not to want to buy. You could easily use many of them for snacks, Thanksgiving, or a pot luck party. The store has a little bit of everything, and it's always changing. Thankfully, they have two doors to make it easier to walk through and see all the buying options. I've never left here without finding many things I've wanted to buy. Even better, people always compliment me on what I get and ask about the store.

Danica Thomas: I absolutely LOVE this place! It is one of my favorite gift shops by far! It can be a little overwhelming because there are a ton of products here, so I prefer to go during the less busy times so that I can take the time to really check out everything. They seem to get new stuff in all the time as well.They have every kind of gift you could think of, and it is very well organized by theme. They have great gifts for the office, game nights, weddings, etc. Themes include everything from cooking, bartending, religion, holidays, children, pets, the beach, meditation, etc. Many of the gifts are quirky, inspirational, funny, or mildly offensive and I love it!!! You can't go without finding something for someone in your life (or for a few someones!). It's even a great place to pick up a little something for yourself! They have cute purses, jewelry, candels, perfumed items, shawls, kimonos, games, and adorable snacks. I don't know how often they add new items, but it's always worth a perusal when I'm in the area to check out what's new! The staff is also fabulous! Everyone is always super helpful and patient with me as I look at legit every item in the store! Haha! You definitely need to check it out!
