Amber McCune: Cary cart was great to rent a golf cart from this past week while on vacation. The house came with a golf cart, but we decided last minute to rent another to fit everyone. They were so accommodating and lowered the weekly price since we were late to rent. Having two carts for our crew made it so fun!
Kay Lee: We had a issue with a popped tire on our golf cart (not a rental; it came with the house we were renting) while on vacation in Ocean Isle Beach. Cary Cart came to the house first thing in the morning, picked up the golf cart, and returned it with 2 brand new front tires by early afternoon. They were quick, friendly and responsive. They followed up later in the day to make sure everything was working well. I would highly recommend this company!!

This company charged me $4550 to fix this damage. YES! IT CHARGED us $4550 for repair a WINDSHIELD. I will never never do business with this company in the future. If your insurance company do not cover golf cart accident, please do not rent any golf cart at bald head island. Was looking for assistance in getting my cart inspected to be street legal but they ignored my submission on their contact form. As a business owner I respond to all customers regardless of the situation.**UPDATE***Due to the fact the business replied to my review...one would assume the fair thing would be to call and give them a second chance. The lady who answered the phone seemed bothered by my inquiry and stated they had no parts! I tried to explain I did not need parts and simply wanted an inspection to assist in obtaining a VIN. She seemed further annoyed after I explained I was familiar with the requirements set forth by NHTSA for LSVs as well as state statute. She again put a bitter taste in my mouth for this company. My suggestion is to go else where!
Kristen Daniels: My family and I visited bald head island yesterday for a short trip for our first time and booked a golf cart to make it easier to enjoy the sites. We arrived later in the day shortly before 3pm and we were aware of the cart having to be returned by 3:45p per the reservation confirmation email I received. We knew we would be pushed for time to see the island so we set off and shortly into the trip I discovered the golf cart didn’t have a full battery charge. We toured the island and made a few stops and the cart became slower and slower to the great displeasure of many island residents unfortunately stuck behind the slow cart. On the way to return the cart by the designated time the cart struggled to complete the journey even having the battery level light “dancing on E” the last few minutes of our journey. I booked this cart to make it easier for my father who is a surviving stroke patient and mother along with 3 aunts all over the age of 60 and to have them in the position to possibly have to walk back to the drop off location because the golf cart left them stranded is absolutely unacceptable. The fact that I mentioned to the gentlemen checking the cart back over about the battery being dead when it was returned seemed to not even care made this situation even more unpleasant. I guess when it’s close to quitting time and your one of the only golf cart rental companies on the island you can care very little about your customers experience and most of all safety for senior adults.

They have a large selection of new and used carts + a helpful staff. I selected a used cart and came away feeling like I got a very fair deal. Additionally, after the cart was delivered I discovered something that needed fixed. I contacted J's and they immediately sent someone out to pick up the cart in order to quickly remedy the issue.

Leeann McKinney: We recently bought a used golf cart and started having trouble with it right after. My husband, who is a mechanic, replaced a few parts trying to identify the issue. When this didn't correct the problem, we decided to take it into j's for a golf cart professional to diagnos it. We thought maybe they could more quickly pinpoint the issue. When I called Jay's I explained all of this on the phone, I explained that rather than a trial and error diagnosis on our end, we wanted their help to pinpoint what the issue was. They explained to us that they could do that and the diagnostic would be $75.We later got a call that we had 2 weak batteries and our golfcart was ready. My husband explained that the cart was cutting off and asked if they were able to replicate the issue. He felt like more was going on. David looked at it again and found some other issues afterwards. When we went to pick it up, we asked for the list of what was wrong and David was apprehensive about providing it, he was angry that we were not getting it repaired there and accused us of planning to take the work to another buisness. We explained that was not the case and I reminded him of the conversation I had when I first called and that we were up front that we were going to do the work ourselves when I first called. He then tried to charge $180 and explained he put a part on and that it had to be taken off. I explained we were told $75 for the diagnostic and again we were upfront about us doing the work, we just needed a diagnostic. He then told us never to come back. We tried to explain ourselves and de-escalte, but im not going to get into an argument with someone with a temper or be guilted when we did nothing wrong. We paid your asking price for a diagnostic, we were transparent and reasonable. We were clear from the start. Not sure what else you expect. I am disappointed with how we were treated and we would not reccomend this place.

They were so kind and knowledgeable on the phone, then came to pick up my cart and the experience just got better and better. John Loomis: I can not say enough positive things about my experience with J's Golf Carts. They folks are very professional and actually want to help out their customers. I had some work done to my 2003 EZGO and it runs way better than it has in the 8 years I have owned it. When I got it back I noticed that even though I paid for the preventative care service, it looked as though it was missed. I called J's and they immediately apologized and picked the cart up the next day to complete. I will get the cart back the very next day. This is what customer service looks like in the purest, most honest form!!! There are about 30 carts in my neighborhood and I will be recommending J's to every single person.

We rented a 4 person golf cart for our wedding reception to allow the bride and groom to get around quickly to multiple sites for photos on UNC’s campus. TC: My daughter is showing at Swan Lake in Pennsylvania today. When I went to the show office to pick up my golf cart rental they suggested I call the Golf Cart Guys to find out where it was. So I did. I spoke to Brian. He told me “It’s a mess over there and I can’t do anything about it because I’m in Ocala.” When I suggested that they might review their internal processes in order to provide better customer service, he said, “I don’t need a lecture from you on how to run my business.” I said I wasn’t trying to lecture him, rather I was trying to provide better controls so this wouldn’t happen to others in the future. He hung up on me! Wow! I really couldn’t believe how rudely he acted and what little concern he showed. He NEVER tried to find a solution. Instead, he said it wasn’t his problem. I never want to do business with the Golf Cart Guys ever again.

The next morning (Sunday), they brought out the correct part, fixed the golf cart, and delivered it to our house. I was beyond impressed with their service and professionalism. Greg Bosley: I have been working with Byron and his team for roughly 3 years now. He helped my customize my golf cart, gave me a fair value on my trade in, his delivery team is awesome. His techs know their stuff. I have had to send it in once for new batteries, his team turned it around and had it back in my garage in 48 hours. They have even done a house call for me when I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my cart, it took them less than 3 hours to get here. Highly recommend for any of your golf cart needs.
