Itai: I've used Golftec 2 different times and both have been super helpful. I had Marshall at this location and he helped out my game a lot. The only issue is that it seems like they have too many signed up for the amount of staff/bays at the location. It can be hard to find lesson times and practice times due to this issue which can cause problems with getting a routine.

Within the lesson package I ordered I also get plenty of practice bay time which allows me to practice regardless of the weather. Ryan McKinstrie: If you are trying to fix your swing, Coach Dylan Burger is king! After years of saying "maybe next year" to investing in lessons to improve my game, I finally decided to go for it at GOLFTEC Cary. My expectations were blown away with the results that were achieved by working with Dylan. Dylan makes every lesson fun and easy to apply. He has a variety of drills that he can pull from for any swing improvement and doesn't stop until he finds a drill that connects with you. I was a mess, you could call me Darth Fader, always coming over the top and slicing everything and getting no distance. Through his lessons, he was able to give me tools that I could instantly apply effortlessly and my game has been far better for it. Charles Sayre: I was introduced to Golftec at a clinic. I was attracted due to the cost and a good experience with Zach Campbell. We called and got an intro assessment and decided to purchase a package. We were impressed with the Cary facilities and assessment. Zach was great again and honestly the cost was less than other places we could get lessons. We have now been students over a year and gotten to know all the coaches. All great and personable. They are invested in your improvement and listen and work with you. They do playing lessons and there are even go play with your coach outings. I have moved from a 100s golfer to consistently in the low 80s. It takes time but my swing is definitely better because of Zach's coaching and Golftec. The facilities have been upgraded in the past year. The video and bay systems are top notch and easy to use and understand. This is for folks of all levels. Beginners to very skilled/scratch golfers. I've had a great time with Zach and I personally recommend him strongly but also recommend all the staff. Zach is super personable and extremely knowledgeable. He can get you on the right path to better golf.

Sherrod Banks: I met Zach Campbell last summer after a long absence from golf and as a result, I had zero confidence in my irons. During the first lesson, I learned what my opportunities for improvement were. I also learned that Zach is a very effective communicator. He can translate complex moves into simple thoughts and repetitive motions. I had a very weak grip, which led to a multitude of issues with making solid contact. Zach strengthened my grip. He also adjusted my takeaway and used video to prove I could make a near full turn away from the ball. This led to a better swing path and, along with more solid contact, I am 7 strokes better than last summer on average. All I really care about is being competitive with my friends, and I’m now beating most of them!

Richard Law: I have been taking lessons with Zach Campbell for about 10 months….I am an elderly guy and have watched by handicap sadly increase in recent years. It was time to upgrade my swing as for 30 years I have had a persistent slice. Zach has worked with my limitations and definitely has kept me in the fairway. Basically, with GolfTec’s superb technology I have a better appreciation of the fundamentals. Zach has improved my overall course experience from driving to putting. I am much more consistent around the greens. Zach has a relaxed demeanor and is a superb instructor. Instead of investing in that new driver or set of iron I suggest you give GolfTec a chance to improve your playing and enjoyment of golf.

I never understood why I was playing well when that infrequently occurred or why things went wrong when they often did, which was very frustrating.Finally, I started a lesson program at GOLFTEC in Cary with coach Zach Campbell who was recommended to me by a golfing friend who with Zach’s help took his own game to consistent rounds in the upper 70’s. Based on my experience I highly recommend to anyone starting golf or, who like me plays inconsistently, that you take lessons from a professional teacher. The GOLFTEC program is a proven method and it is working for me. I also personally recommend Zach as a coach.Most of what I previously thought were the keys to a good golf swing were wrong, very wrong. The proper keys are actually simpler than I realized, but for me that didn’t mean a few sessions and you are good to go. For me it has taken a series of lessons and a bit of commitment to unlearn the bad habits and build a proper foundation. However, t’s not an unreasonable amount of time out of my weekly schedule and for the first time I actually enjoy practice time because (1) I actually know what I’m trying to do, and (2) It’s working.I’ve noted some people posted negative reviews regarding the “GOLFTEC business model” over-emphasizing selling lesson plans. Of course they sell lesson plans, that’s how people learn to play golf correctly and they DISCOUNT the lesson plans if you commit to a package, a common business practice. So if you are starting, I’d recommend scheduling an evaluation session as I did and then decide what you need. You don’t have to commit to a contract day one, but realistically you should expect like most people you will need a series of lessons. You are making a commitment to yourself to put in the work to improve, which is more important than the money commitment. I’ve found it to be rewarding; hope you experience the same.

The problem was my swing and not the driver. It barely took him 20mins to change my swing and I was hitting the driver about ~260yds compared to ~180yds from before.I would recommend him to anyone trying to improve their scores. Just go and get a quick session with him you will definitely see a difference in your game!

John Hendy: I went here last year to get my grips changed on ping i20 irons. The owner asked me to take a few swings while he was finding the grips. I mentioned that my ball flight was high and I was losing distance. He suggested that I get the clubs lengthened. Now keep in mind I am 6’3” and these clubs were already +.75”. He added an additional .75” making them +1.5”!!!This year I went to an actual club fitter and as I suspected the clubs were way to long. The fitter even said he had helped NBA players that didn’t have clubs that long! I hope this was just a mistake but I will not be returning.

I can honestly say he is the only one that fixed multiple issues at once focusing on one central point of how I played my clubs. One lesson to show me what I was not doing correctly and of course he has the bays and driving range for you to go practice what you learned.My wife bought me the lesson on my birthday to go try him out and usually I am apprehensive about it. He was calm, professional, put you at ease and really showed he knew what he was doing with that lesson.His use of incorporating technology was a big help as well and I can honestly say that for once.... I am actually happy about my game in terms of playing and understanding it.I will honestly be taking more lessons with him. I literally understood what he taught as well as what I should be doing. I have never had that feeling or response with the other instructors I used. It literally just clicked and came together.I may not suddenly be a super golfer by any means, but I now know what to do and it's a really good feeling.

Everett Bruce III: I'm a beginner and this was my first lesson so I did not know what to expect but Mike was very cordial and helpful in my swing assessment. It was a bit chilly that day so we hit in the bay and didnt have to freeze outside. He used video technology with data feedback to explain why my ball tends to veer one way or another. He worked with me from my current state so I did not have to start over and gave ONE specific and understandable action item so I was not overwhelmed and I have clear path moving forward. As a bonus you get a few digital video clips of your lesson that can be used to reiterate points prior to your practice sessions.

S B: Literally the best place in North Carolina for the beginner golfer to learn the fundamentals and the advanced golfer to fine tune skills. I signed up for the golf school ( very affordable and beginner friendly group classes, if you are real bad ...you will not be embarrassed trust me) with a goal of routinely breaking 100. In less than two months of classes with Mike and Pat , I now regularly shoot in the low 90s and even have rounds in the 80s. (Best is 86).

Dean Macko: 401 par golf is not far from my house so I often find myself going there to work on my golf game at the range. It's not the fanciest place around. However, my lesson with Mike was a real eye-opener. He has some fantastic equipment tucked away in an unassuming shack of his that will allow you to see exactly what you need to be working on. I have taken over a dozen lessons in my golfing career and the two tips I took away from tonight's lesson with Mike were probably the most valuable I've heard in the last 20 years. Plus, he's a really cool guy and your lesson will be fun, not demanding. I definitely recommend his services.

Alan Clark: Been playing golf over 20 years and had many lessons, Mike was the first person to show me how bad my swing actually was and exactly what movements I had to do to fix it. After three visits with him I know how it feels to swing the club properly and have a good base plus training excerscises to do to groove good habits. Mike was comfortable to work with, didn't rush and created a relaxing atmosphere which made it alot easier to focus on learning.

Richard Davis: I just left the store located at Cary Parkside Town Commons at 1030 Parkside Main Street, Cary, NC. I was looking to purchase a Ping G425 Max driver. I had previously tested several brands and shaft configurations so I knew what I needed. I found several clubs in the loft and shaft configuration that I needed. Some were still new in the plastic. There were several other clubs that were obviously hit. The plastic was removed and there were ball marks on the face of the club.In the past, when I have wanted to hit new clubs and there weren’t demo clubs available, the salesperson would tape up the club. They did this because ‘then they couldn’t sell the club as new’. So, I asked an associate, since this club was hit, and I was told the above in the past, what would the discount be? He called over the ‘master club fitter’ and asked my question.He told me that they could clean off the ball mark. I reiterated the story above. He told me then he would get the me club I wanted new in the plastic. I then asked him why was I told in the past that I couldn’t hit a club because it affected the value, but now, when I wanted to buy a club with a lesser value, as defined by Golf Galaxy, I couldn’t get a discount. I told him that was playing both sides of the coin, not being upfront and honest to a customer. I also told him that I would buy it right now if they gave me any kind of discount.He said he would rather wait for a full-paying customer than sell it to me now. And then he made what I considered a condescending comment when I handed the club to him.This comment and position are ridiculous. It tells me that I am not a valued customer in any way and that Golf Galaxy will change its position when it’s convenient for them. It is a deceitful practice.I have been going to this store for 9 years and quite frankly have had spotty service at best. This was the worst.

Rochelle Davis: My husband and I have been several times to this location with no issue and good customer service. Unfortunately today when we drove up from Fayetteville (1.5 hours) again one of the floor associates named Joe approached us several times. The first time he asked if we needed help which we responded, "No, thank you. Just browsing." The second time he took our items out of our hands to place at the counter. Did not ask for them, just reached and made it incredibly awkward to say no. I'm capable of carrying balls. He than approached us when we were browsing clearance and got extremely close to my husband and I from behind us startling us. From our previous experiences with the store, this is not on par. The experience this time was more along the lines of being profiled for shoplifting. It was incredibly uncomfortable and we will be taking our business elsewhere.

Cathy Desroches: Drew is an incredible teacher and an awesome guy. He is very good at quickly analyzing what you are doing incorrectly and provides you with drills to begin getting back on track to the proper grip, posture, body motion and swing path. What we like about Drew is that if he sees you are not getting a drill, he quickly moves on to an alternate approach to the same drill that you can connect with. Drew has taught my two sons in their 30’s and both my husband and I who are in our 60’s. We have all seen improvement in our swings and scoring. Thank you Drew !!!!
