Traveling Mama: The place could be cleaner, the restrooms could be cleaner, I stop in for beef patties I usually go to Golden crust, but I thought how can they mess up on beef patties, well they were the worst they were dried out burnt way to spicy to eat , I love spice but I need flave with it no flavor, tried þo give them away after tasting a piece nobody wanted it, that was the worst experience ever, the lady at the register was nice but those beef patties were just awful, I hate to leave a bad review but it's the truth!

G. Candels: a great spot to get something different for lunch. Jerk Chicken Lunch is 10 bucks and will fill you up. Slight spice to the chicken. I will def be visiting again.

Desire Hardy: The rice and beans are hard with no taste. I ordered an oxtail plant and the food is completely horrible. The taste is bland, you don't get a fair amount of oxtails for the amount you pay for. The cabbage is not cooked right.... The food is not good. I believe most people eat there because they don't know about true island food. If i could I would not give it a star at all. Go to Raleigh or Durham if you want some good island food.... I wish I could get my money back from this place.

Katharine Bayer: This is our favorite Jamaican restaurant in the area. It is family-owned and the sisters that run the restaurant are so friendly. We always get the brown stewed chicken with cabbage, rice , peas and plantains. The chicken is so tender and always falls off the bone. The restaurant is tucked in a shopping complex in Cary near a few barber shops and cell phone shop. We call in the order and pick it up.

Good JuJu: They really need to update business hours. Since 2019 they are closed when google and Yelp says they are open. Every time I’ve gone out of my way to try the food it’s closed.

Stacy: I am new to Raleigh but I have been to a Golden Krust restaurant in Charlotte NC. I ordered a large oxtails dinner yesterday from the location in Raleigh. I called ahead of time to ask how they package it since I was getting it delivered from Uber Eats. The lady was very nice and pleasant over the phone and told me that the food is saran wrapped. I asked for extra rice and gravy bc I did not want any steamed veggies and waited for my food. The guy came with my food and when I took my food out the bag, it was packaged perfectly. No spilled juices or anything! And baaaabbbaaayyyyyyyy.. when I actually tasted the oxtails, it felt like angels were singing and the birds were chirping hallelujah! LOL.. but seriously the oxtails were perfectly seasoned... savory not sweet. I've been to places where they put sugar in the oxtails for some reason and I'm always disappointed but not this place. Not only was the oxtails amazing, but they were falling off the bone tender. And don't get me started on the fat to meat ratio! 10 out of 10! I love me a nice chunk of oxtails with a little fat every other fork full. The gravy was great, the rice and peas were great... the only thing I did not like to much was the carrot cake. The flavor of the carrot cake was great.. so I will try it again in the future for a redo... but this particular slice I got was dry. So it tasted ok, but I know it would've been off the charts if it was moist, because the flavor was there. All and all I recommend this place for oxtails and I will be ordering from them again! Absolutely loved the food and customer service!

I’ve been here before however this was my 1st time them handle a rush with customers. Usually it’s not super busy but today was soooo busy . My experience was well the only thing I wish they would implement is a better system on help people. It seemed like only two of the workers knew what they were doing, the it looked like the line was getting longer and longer and the guy and older looking woman looked like they were confused to some degree. They kept walking around each other touching the same plates at different times like if that particular plate is done no one shouldn’t have to touch it again unless the customer wanted to add something but standing in line watching them that wasn’t the case . The reason for the 3 start is I believe that you all can enhance your customer experience with a little vamping or rethinking of how you can give a smoother customer service with getting people in and out other than that it’s a really good place to eat from ..

A lady came in there for a pick up order, she was excited about her oxtail, and as she walked away, they started to make comments on her weight and body. I understand patois 100%! Born and raised in Manchester, JA. The staff need training, For it is us- the community- that keeps them employed.
