13 short years ago we found an unhallowed plot of land, planted our little seeds of panic, and gently nourished them with terror & dread until a full forest of fear emerged. The half-mile “Haunted Forest” Trail is our featured attraction. A 12 scene scream-fest with over 30 haunters to hound your every step. But that’s just the beginning. Some victims prefer the slightly shorter “Dark Trail” for its lack of light and unexpected twists. The “Howling Hayride” rambles aimlessly through the woods, home to a pack of Werewolves and those who hunt them. “Killers in the Corn” is an assortment of distorted figures enough to make you want to hop the fence and flee with no regard for your own safety. Stalkers Farm, the newest attraction, is a Carolina inspired backwoods bonanza where you’ll be run down by bootleggers and little old ladies. In all, you’ll spend a couple hours going through 38 unique scenes and meet more than 90 creatures whose only purpose is to see you cower in fear.

Its a scare-fest that runs the entire 2023 Halloween Season. Every night at the Haunt is frightening, with more ways to cry fear than you knew existed. There are 3 pricing levels depending on the size of the crowd expected on any given night. One of the most requested nights is for those 18 & older brings some refinement (and beer from Tobacco Wood Brewing Company) and will be held this year on Friday, November 3rd. Panic Point gives more than misery too, with Fan Appreciation Night on November 4th.

4worldlovers: A complete restoration in the 1990s converted the old Page-Walker Hotel into a living resource for the citizens of Cary. Today, the Page-Walker Arts & History Center is alive with classes, events, concerts, social gatherings, historical and fine arts exhibitions.

Subjects offered through the Page-Walker Arts & History Center include language arts, music, wellness, history, photography, and more. The Page-Walker presents art exhibitions in the first and second floor galleries and first floor display case. The public is invited to view the works of talented regional artists on display during regular public hours, however it is recommended that you call ahead as these are multi-purpose spaces and may be in use for other activities.

The Horace Williams House was built in 1854 by Benjamin Hedrick. Professor of Analytical and Agricultural Chemistry at the University, Hedrick purchased the property as a home for his wife Mary Ellen, and their two young sons. He envisioned a distinctive octagonal structure and hired Hillsborough builder John Berry to construct the house. The home was completed in 1855, and the Hedricks moved in.

The House went through several owners and renovations before finally passing into the ownership of Horace Williams in 1897. Williams was the last private owner of the home. He was the Chair of Mental and Moral Science (Philosophy) at the University, and students shared a great admiration for him. Williams remained at the University for half a century, and on his death in 1940 bequeathed all his property to the University. The house became a rental for professors and their families, until its gradually deteriorated condition attracted the attention of Preservation Chapel Hill.

The House is operated and maintained by Preservation Chapel Hill as an example of adaptive reuse. The only historic house open the public in Chapel Hill, the building serves as the organization's offices, as well as providing meeting and event space, art exhibitions, and public education programs.

The Horace William House is the only historic house open to the public in Chapel Hill. The house retains its original architecture including woodwork, floors, ceilings, and mantles. We have a collection of antique furniture, including a set of four chairs and a newly acquired settee that once belonged to Horace Williams. We offer self-guided tours of the house, including an exhibit about the history of those who lived there.
