Page-Walker Arts & History Center: what do users think?
hyunjin Hong: I came here because there was a children's summer camp, and I like it comfortably. Access is good and there are plenty of parking spaces. There is a library and an art gallery nearby.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
V Mars: If you enjoy seeing how history connected to people's lives and in this case; how Cary developed and how the railroad impacted the Page-Walker families, then check this small history center. Beautiful gardens surround the history center. Easy parking. I had an interesting conversation with the women who were tending to the garden out front of the history center. They gave me a bit of insight into the upkeep of the exterior landscaping.
Peggy Wickham: Excellent exhibit. I especially enjoyed the fabric art exhibit, but the bold abstract exhibit as well.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
G V Debnam: Stopped to see the amazing photo exhibit by my fellow church member and friend = Chuck Ruffin. The exhibit included great photos from a Prayer Rally (#peaceful protest). #GeorgeFloydVisited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry Free …More
Nancy Caggia: Fabulous piano concert by Solomon Eichner! Talented pianist with wonderful introductions and explanations to the pieces! The staff there were quite helpful and responsive when we asked questions or requested more air flow in little room. The homemade refreshments at intermission were an unexpected delight. Volume and acoustics were spot on and enjoyable. Parking is super easy. Had a lovely winter concert. Lasted almost 1 hr and 45 minutes! Highly suggest for others to attend other concerts!

NSA: neat place to learn a bit more about Cary and the downtown areasome floors of the exhibit where sparsely filled and we walked thru it all in around 40 min while taking our timeplace is clean and opens late which is great !free access as wellparking is available outside, there is an elevator however we were told to take the stairs so I'm not sure if it's handicap friendly

Rick Iiams: The Page-Walker offered a walking ghost tour of Cary. Started in the ol' Hillcrest cemetery and walked back to the P-W museum. Guided by the Cary Players, was fun and learned a few more pieces of Cary's history through it's "ghosts". Great fun, perfect weather for the 7pm group. Would totally recommend to go.
Kurt Hilton: I've been to the Page-Walker for several events hosted by the Town of Cary. One of Cary's oldest and well-managed historical landmarks.
Carol Toth: Historical trolly ride was both fun and informative.
Matthew Tallarino: Wonderful and quaint historical gem in downtown Cary! Perfect setting!
Linda Gunter: We really need a large Cary Museum for all the town artifacts related to our history. What a wonderful job the Town did in preserving the old hotel.
Michael Rubin: Great source for history about Cary and historical people of the area.

Ivey Ellington House: what do users think?
Marilyn Griman: I love the IE house in the downtown. What beautiful addition to the character of downtown Cary.Visited on Weekend …More
Richie Bisanz: This is the site for the farmers market on Saturdays in Cary.
Cornelis J van Dijk: Would love it as a restaurant.
Judson Vickery: This historic Gothic Revival style home is going to make some building enthusiast a dedicated fan. This piece of history is actually quite rare for Wake county due to the low number of Gothic revival style homes that are in existence here. The highly ornate Victorian style was dominating in this era which was still a time period where mainly the wealthy were the only home owners. Gothic revival combined utilitarian needs with a lesser degree of ornate design and a keen sense of symmetry that ties together the dramatic lines. The windows alone on this beauty are worth a visit as they perfectly mimic the symmetrical effect. The photos at the end of this group are of a 1929 Craftsman style bungalow in Durham, NC. This was an extensive remodel project where we applied this same style exterior look to come up with a "Modern Gothic Impressed Bungalow Revival." Ok, at the least it is a well remodeled home with a salute to the style that has inspired generations to keep building design symmetrically pleasing.Located right downtown in Cary, NC this historic destination offers excellent on site parking and a large lot where little ones can run. This home has enjoyed a front row seat to history as it has stormed down the street in front and I would give anything to hear it's perspective. Until those impressive walls start speaking we can only imagine, but doing so from the front porch is just way easier! This is not a park style location and the main historic interest is the building style and the structure itself. If you're looking for historic destinations interesting to people not as drawn to old houses as you and I, this spot is still a good choice and family friendly due to it's easy access to everything in downtown Cary. Come straight to the property on site parking and your guests can walk a short block to Ashworth's drugstore and acquire a historic chocolate shake at an old school soda fountain. There are plenty of things to do and a historic district surrounding the Ivey-Ellington house so I encourage you to visit and see if those walls will talk to you!

Renee M.: Attended the 50th annual Oakwood Candlelight Tour, while temperatures dropped as the sun went down the tour was heating up! Christmas decorations from around the homes were impressive. The tour was well organized, the volunteers were extremely friendly and informative. Some homes show cased the impressive detailed work from over 100 years ago while others incorporated their personality and style in to these amazing homes! Worth the wait! Tickets were sold out before day of event! Buy early!
