No effort to help find a shoe that fit my style. I'm going to Fleet Foot this weekend, hoping the people there will be more helpful (low bar to cross.).

Alex was helpful and knowledgeable. Alex let me know I should have at least 1-inch room at the toe box for comfort in the sneakers I selected. I felt like I was shopping in the 90s again. I rarely get this level of service in stores these days.The service was appreciated.Alanna was nice and assisted me with correcting the phone number on my rewards account. This was the third time I could not be found because someone typed my phone number incorrectly at the initial setup. I appreciate the initiative to correct it. Hopefully, it's right this time. I'm satisfied with my purchase and I felt good spending my money here with customer service reps who appreciate having customers to assist.

Shinya A: Overall they have good service. The store is a bit old and outdated but that is because the entire building is old. This store will be moving to another location in a few months which will be modern and updated. The equipment selection here is plentiful for hockey. Good variety.

curtis wall: Cory and Colton are absolutely awesome! Needed a new pair of skates for my son and his first pair instead of using rentals and was extremely impressed by the service from both of them. Colton never tried to upsell us and put my son in quality gear with total respect to our budget. Giani(spelling) recommended them from the Invisalign store and glad he did they walked us through several options and even though the scanner was down got everything figured out and fitted with the best possible choice. They also baked and sharpened the skates for us while we waited. You could tell the staff knew the product and recommended the best options without being high pressure. Cory did an awesome job managing the staff and the process as well, really awesome individual. Everyone at the shop deserves praise for sure. Highly recommend all of them and look forward to heading back next time we need anything!

LIFE LINE: Read the reviews on 5Hole. And they were right!!! The store has everything you need. The staff, Jason, Jake, Jeff, John know there stuff. Walked me thro everything on skates. They measured my feet to get that right fit on the machine. Tried on few boots and found the perfect. Explained fit, sizing, baking and blade sharpening and how they are used. Got a chance to pock a stick. Hits some pucks. Tried on helmets for that right fit too. Cant say enough about these two. They know there job!!!! Thanks guys!!! I recommend them. Prices are good to.Update: had to come back for more gear. Jake and John helped us out. What can I say but they are great!!! There was absolutely zero upselling. In fact, I did come back the next day for arch support because they told me to try skating before putting money into it. tim bloch: I went to Five Hole to purchase skates after being out of the sport for several years. Richard went above and beyond. Although the store was busy, he made sure I tried each and every skate that we thought may be a good fit. He did not pressure me and I could tell he truly wanted me to find the perfect skate. He ended up calling one of their nearby stores where he thought they had the correct skate in-stock.I ended up going to their sister store and Bobby helped me try on several more skates. Bobby was awesome as well. I ended up leaving with a skate I was 100% confident in.The staff at these pro-shops are incredible. They are very passionate about the sport and I will continue to drive the hour and a half for future purchases.

Shinya A: I highly recommend this place to get new hockey or figure skates as well as to get them sharpened here too. Andy and Dean are super helpful and knowledgable (blade hollow depths, foot pronations, blade balancing, etc). I have had my skates sharpened at several places (several five hole sports and even used the sparxx machine) but PSB does are far superior job hands down. Customer service here is fantastic. They do get very busy so an appointment is usually needed, which is a good thing because that shows people trust them and are satisfied with their work. Andy and Dean really do care about their customers and try their very best to meet customers needs. Great job guys!

Ol Faithful: I can't say enough about the exceptional PSB team. The customer service Andy and Dean provide is above and beyond the call of duty. Andy will truly do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is satisfied with their experience--even if it means providing a refund, doing a product swap, or taking a financial loss in order to make sure the customer happy and has the right equipment. You can shop here knowing that you won't be upsold or pushed into top-of-the-line merchandise for the sake of a sale--I made it clear that I had no budget, and I was still recommended a very reasonably priced option that would suit my needs. I don't normally write reviews, but I feel like more people need to know about Andy, Dean, and PSB Pro Services.
Walter Johnson: I'm starting to get into inline skating and this was the only walk-in shop I could find that advertised a shop environment for working on skates. I went in today expecting to spend some money for some custom skate work or to find a new pair of skates.The guy I talked to was incredible. Though the shop is mainly set up for ice skating and hockey, guy demonstrated a level of expertise that made me feel like I came to the right place. He told me straight up that he might not be able to do much with my skates, but he would at least point me in the right direction. Super helpful!If I ever need work done on my skates, this is the place I'm going to.
Dan Nifong: Highly recommend. I went in for a more extensive, custom fitting process and was not disappointed. Not only did they take the time to properly fit (including heating the skates), they also helped me modify my existing pair to hold over until the new ones come in. You are getting seasoned expertise and they clearly know their hockey gear. Be sure to make an appointment. You wont regret it.
William Nifong: FYI for new customers, appointments are now required for skate services. I'm brand new to playing hockey and I didn't know about the appointment requirement. Due to a vacation I was only able to visit a few hours before my first game with a new pair of skates and no appointment... but Dean saw my situation and fit me in anyway! He did a great job baking my skates and sharpening the blades. Another customer and his sons came in while I was there with skates that had been poorly sharpened by a different shop and Dean explained the things that had been done wrong and how he would do it differently, so I feel like I made the right choice. I will be back for my future hockey skate needs!
Firecat: Beginner level adult skater here trying to develop into a figure skater. Andy at PSB helped me pick a pair of nice, inexpensive figure skates that work well with my budget, learning trajectory, and end goals. He also taught me how to put them on properly and perform basic maintenance, heat moulded them, and adjusted both the boots and the blades to fit my flat arches and supination. He is knowledgeable, experienced, patient, considerate, and not afraid to voice his professional concerns.

I’m used to shopping at the Play It Again in Cary Crossroads shopping center and this was my second time at the Holly Springs location and I was very impressed with the cleanliness and organized layout of the store! The Cary store is always BEYOND cluttered, but it’s part of its charm. This Holly Springs location is set up like a new sporting goods retail store should be, with everything labeled in sizes and a practice area for golf putting as well.

Dylan: Bikes are horrible, first mountain bike i got there , the chain fell off. second one i got there the de-railer was misaligned, third one i got both tires popped going up the street. HORRIBLE BIKES DONT GO HERE TO BUY ANYTHING RELATED TO BIKING.
Megan Wells: My family and I came to the store today to purchase bicycles and to sell a jogging stroller. We were greeted by many friendly faces and loads of offers to help us any way they could. This store gave us an excellent trade in value for our stroller and we found 3 new bicycles to purchase. The sales staff were helpful in replacing my husband's bicycle seat and also repairing a tire on the bicycle for me. I was very impressed with the kindness and efficiency we experienced today. The store was very busy with shoppers but we still recieved lots of help with our purchases. I will frequent this store often and highly recommend them to others! Thank you!!

Nitin Kadam: Got some HOKA shoes online as they were not having in store. The new pair of shoes I received were full of pet hairs and hence I returned it. I told the reason for returning, hoping they would atleast clean them before restocking it. I went to the shoe section to look for some other shoes and when I asked an associate there if they have HOKA, he said yes and brought the same box which I had returned still with pet hair. I really hoped they had checked before when I purchased online and definitely should not restocked after I told them the reason to return.

He was extremely helpful, he advised me on which shoes were better for walking and he was sooo patient. It was a busy day, I must have asked him to bring me a total of 10 pairs of shoes, He made multiple trips and did not seem bothered at all.I can tell that this young man is a hard worker, he was multitasking while helping other customers and picking up the mess that people left behind. Whitney Smith: My son and I stopped by yesterday afternoon in search of soccer cleats, gear, and track spikes. Walked in and the woman and young man behind the counter did their very best to ignore us. Walked right past the front counter, holding eye contact with the young man for a few seconds, and nothing. No greeting, can I help you find anything…zilch. As we looked around, the young man appeared on the opposite side of the shoe rack, but still never spoke. The woman behind the counter offered a hearty greeting to some folks who came in after us. As we left to go spend my hard earned money at Dick’s (since nobody seemed to care to help or acknowledge us), they literally watched us walk out the door without a single word. No have a nice day, no thanks for coming in…just cold blank stares. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting again, and I’ll be sure to ask my fellow football,basketball, track, and soccer moms not to either.

Amanda O: I was in search for free weights so my husband can continue his physical therapy at home. We checked all over town and tried ordering on all the box store websites. We were both quite frustrated when I decided to give Play it Again Sports a call. They said they were getting a shipment of weights in an hour or so. I dropped by thinking it would be a fail but it was the total opposite. They were unloading so many items. Each staff member was so friendly and knew exactly what they had and where to find each item. They went way above and beyond during this crazy time when all the gyms are closing and everyone is searching for gym equipment. You have a customer for life.
