Danny Moshier: A family member of has been using The CPI security system for quite some time now, and after a recent issue when it mattered most, the company will never see business from anyone my family can possibly get in contact with. Luckily the resident was out of town but their apartment was broken into and robbed of many valuable items, when my relative called to ask what was going on and see if CPI could send police they did not give her an answer. When she called back, they said “you need to stop calling you’re clogging up our phone lines”. Meanwhile while this “security” company was showing blatant disrespect and lack of care for their customer, a burglar was rummaging around her apartment. Safe to say they need to focus a little more on the security portion of their companies values. Terrible terrible terrible company who only cares about the over priced installation fee.
Courtney Flowers: They are not a very convenient company at all! Their claim to allow you to manage your own account you cannot I’ve been asking to receive a bill for over six months NOTHING! Don’t even get me started on their payment process it’s literally pre 1999! If your alarm goes off it takes them over 20 minutes for them to answer the phone. The HOLD TIMES ARE HORRIBLE at all times of day to get assistance with anything. The communication is terrible you call on Tuesday and you might get one answer then call back on Friday and you get another answer! They are not consistent with anything. I honestly should’ve stayed with ADT I will be going back!
K Mc: Been with CPI a little over 30 days was having the issue prior to and not impressed or happy. I would advise to NOT get their doorbell camera it is the absolute worst. You would think since they market themselves as leaders in the industry their equipment would reflect that. When it comes to their doorbell and outside cameras. I have a google nest doorbell camera that is 10000 times better and of course we didn’t find this out until after install. I’ve had alarm companies before so I know the game. They sales rep Justin was very nice and responsive to get the sale, but now it’s like hey we got you under contract so we get our 3 or 5 years (in my case 3 refused their 5)+ equipment regardless if you stay or go. They don’t even give you 30 days probably cause they know the more you use it the sooner you discover below par and of course the follow up from the 800 number & Techs is horrible. The attentive sales rep now sends you to them for handling so as you see once you sign it’s done. Buyer beware do your due diligence I tried, but still got got.Doing FYI: advising we did call per their response when they posted it and they didn’t call us back or follow up in any way. The technician who installed my CPI system was Terrence Mason. He spent a lot of time making sure the equipment was working properly and explaining how to use the equipment. It was obvious he is a master technician. He also took the time to explain how to integrate the system with my phone which was important to me. Years back I would have said it was a great company but I've had such a negative experience trying to deal with this company for six months now that I'm over trying to be nice. Nobody there seems to know what is going on from a customer support perspective. I went through the paperwork to suspend billing for 60 days during a house move where I was transferring my contract over. Mind you I'd done this successfully a year+ back. The suspension never happened so I was billed monthly and assured credits to the account which never happened. Every time I called for a refund I was billed again right after the call (three times in on month even). Forget trying to talk to a manager either. They've got more excuses than customers for why you can't talk to one. Eventually I *thought* I had this resolved. The double billing stopped and autodraft is working as it should have. Flashforward to today where I'm being told my account is in collections for no payments. I can't wait for this contract to be over so I can be done with this company.Service:Technical support

We didn’t know exactly what we wanted, or whether it was even possible in the confines of our make-shift TV space; his experience and expertise allowed him to overcome several unique challenges with our setup. Andrew White: Secur-Tek installed a security system in my store and it was great. I was previously with CPI and did not feel like I received the kind of monitoring I needed for the price I was paying. Marc Larin helped me set up the system and was able to work with all the requirements I gave him. My store has people coming in 24/7, even after close, and therefore needed a system that would not be set off by these people but also secured the areas not available to these customers. Marc and his installion specialist were able to give a solution that fits perfectly in my store. His installation specialist was very knowledgable and professional which was important since the install was taking place during regular business hours (he would even open the door for customers). Roy Yonkers: My dealings with Secur Tek have been nothing short of outstanding! We recently moved from a home that Secur Tek had done both the security system and the audio system for the home. The experience was such a great one that when we purchased our new home we of course called Ken Henke to see about both security and audio for our new home. Besides installing a state of the art security system that can be accessed through an app on a smart phone Ken also showed us the Sonos Sound System which was perfect for our new home. We now can have awesome audio in any room that we choose as long as we are within the home wireless network.The team at Secur Tek is equally awesome as the products that they sell. The technicians are professional and polite. They totally respect your home while they are working in the home. They always arrive at their schedule time and their work is extremely neat. I did receive a follow up call following the installation to see if I had any questions or issues and the technician also left me his cell number should I have any questions in the future. Secur Tek is a very customer focused organization and the only company that I would recommend in the triangle for any security or audio needs.
Rick Burch: I contacted Secur-Tek Inc to replace a security system that was previously monitored by ADT. Sales representative Marc Larin was extremely helpful in assessing my security needs while trying to utilize some of the components that I already had. Marc gave me several options at different price points to select from. Upon my selection I then paid the customary half down deposit to order all of the necessary components for installation. A few days later Secur-Tek's Lead licensed security installation technician David arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time. David was very thorough, professional, and helpful throughout the entire installation process. David neatly integrated my new system with the other components that I had to update the entire security system that Marc and I had designed. With new software and features that are state of the art I was given training by David with great patience and explanation. Marc Larin and I had a follow up telephone call that afternoon. Marc wanted to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the new system, software, and monitoring package that I had chosen. I assured him that everything from my initial telephone call, quote process, installation, usage training and the operation of my security system and software met all of the expectations I had from a professional security company. Secur-Tek Inc. is now my security company!

Dymeka McNeil: I have a doorbell camera that does not work half the time. When it does work it takes about 3 or 4 mins to stop loading and come up. By that time someone could have broke in or whatever they wanted to do in my opinion. Then sometimes the camera “times out” within a couple seconds. I call almost every other month and technical support runs test and reset it and it does not help. They try and blame it on my internet service but the last time I called we did a speed test and my numbers came back above average. They suggest that I get a new camera but I will have to pay $250 for it. Why would I trust to get a new camera and the one you gave me doesn’t work. I’ve had this system for only a year and the whole year the same things have been going on. They will not let me out the contract. That’s basically telling me to deal with this system that does not work half the time. I would not recommend this system or company for anyone it defeats the purpose of having a alarm system with a doorbell camera if it does not work half the time.
Enrique Ramirez: After being a loyal customer for over 7 years, I’m done. They charged me for monitoring knowing that my system was off line due to a malfunction. They said they emailed me some offers that I never received and because the options were discussed over the phone that I’m still responsible for the bill. Therefore pay for a service that I did not receive. Customer service rep could care less. Luckily my contract was due to renew and cancelled immediately.
Juan R.: So don’t bother emailing, because the email address apparently doesn’t receive any response.Calling is the only way to get their attention.Also, whereas you can pay a monthly fee to have a technician with a company like ADT, these guys don’t. First off we bought our home a little over 5 years ago and at first the services with guardian was awesome! No issues what so ever. Then the video started freezing on our door bell camera and I wanted to get more cameras with the company to view some blind spots I have around my home and I couldn’t get that. When you call to have a service tech come to take a look at your home they stay ALL DAY! That’s right ALL DAY! So because of the dissatisfaction we went with another company and love it! Don’t waste your time of 5 years or your money!
Nicole Nathern: This is a negative review in response to issues we had with our contract agreement.My husband and I are dual military and recently bought a house; we signed up with Guardian through Goosehead. We only planned on being in the house for another 1-2 years.To be fair, I do not know if the broker or Guardian is to blame, (we certainly should have paid closer attention) but we did not realize that we were signing a 5 year contract and even when we looked through the paperwork we could not find where it explicitly stated the length of the agreement. Had we known the length of the agreement, we would not have signed.My husband is leaving the service and we needed to cut back on some expenses, only to find that we would need to pay nearly $800 to cancel our services with Guardian. Again, if we had known the contract length we would not have signed in the first place. It is also frustrating that this company would not be more willing to help out families that are facing financial hardships at this time.If you are going to sign with Guardian, make sure the terms of the agreement are clearly stated.
jamila neal: I have been with this company for 2 years and have been disappointed since day 1. I initially told them I needed 3 cameras, they only setUp 2. I was then charged $350 for the additional camera. The quality is poor and delayed. The ring bell camera does not display in time. By the time is does display, whom ever is at the door is gone. They proceeded to charge late fees on a $50 balance wherein I provided my bank account to be charged for months. When it came down to the last payment of $50, they didn’t try pulling it from my account but definitely charged late fees on it. I have not been able to use my service for the last 2 months. I called for assistance and was told that if I pay $124 a technician can come out or I can get on a ladder with my height of 4’9 and try to reach the top of my house where the cameras are. I am stuck in a 5 year contract and still being charged to even have someone come out to make my service that I pay for work properly. I am highly disappointed. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I also have been on hold for 45 minutes trying to reach customer service.

I've been in my new house with Guardian for three months and have already had 7 issues! 7!Our alarm decided to arm itself away while we were home, and the audio and video in the doorbell camera breaks every other day. Please stay away. Maybe I can help someone else out. Choose another company!
Benjamin Watson: Have taken 2+ months beyond what we were told to get our work done. They kept trying to upsell us, and when we declined the upsells they became harder and harder to communicate with, felt like we were being punished for not giving them more money, despite not even getting what we had already paid for. On top of that, when they finally did show up, instead of the "8AM to 12 PM appointment". they showed up after 2pm, messing up our entire day's schedule since the appointment was about 1.5 hours long. The tech was courteous and great, but everything else has been a pain to deal with.

They don't show up when they are supposed to, when you do talk to their techs on the phone they don't know what to do, they give you a 4 hour window and then don't meet it but expect you to wait for their poor planning. I've been trying to get cameras installed for 3 mos. with no success. Quite frankly I would have them tear out the motion monitoring system but I'd be stuck with holes in my walls in a new build.
Mark Iasiello: Purchased a surround sound system through a new home builder. The system included a sub-woofer which was not delivered when the technician set up the guardian system on 10/6/2020. Numerous calls have resulted in no action to deliver the paid for product. I was told it needed to be reviewed by management for approval on 10/17/20. At this date no response from customer service.

The security system works great, and helps my home run more efficiently.However, they were unwilling to work with me as I need to sell my home due to multiple complications stemming from COVID. They are very black and white, even in a time of an unprecedented health crisis. I would have been a customer for life, but instead I will pay a $750 cancellation fee and never do business with them again.I do recommend their products, but encourage you to look elsewhere if you are expecting a human level of customer support and understanding.

During 2017 while I was having my home remodeled, I researched companies that would be able to give me an estimate of a remodel of the 20+ year old sound system that was installed in the 90's, together with an addition to my garden area. The outcome was exactly what I had expected, so I asked them to revamp my internet access throughout the house.As before, they went about their business in a professional manner. Each time, Ed showed up to be certain that the plan was enforced. In addition to this, they were sometimes able to look remotely into my account to help me. If necessary, they arranged a time to be here.There were several iterations of the internet revamp, but the end result was to have the internet service stable throughout my home-which has three distinct floors.The thing about this group is that each and every time I require some help: if my internet is acting up or if my security system is acting finicky, all I have to do is call Intelligent Electronics. The customer service they provide is always available in the same pleasant and professional manner as was present before the sale! How many companies can you say that about? If you're looking for a company to exceed your expectations in this area, including post sale customer service-look to Intelligent Electronics.
Jeff Wilson: Great people, cozy space. Just got a new setup from these guys (Integra receiver and Paradigm speakers). Sounds great, and they hand delivered to my house because it wouldn’t all fit in my car. Highly recommended if you want to talk to some guys about audio who really know their stuff.

Flightgamer: These guys helped me choose home theater equipment which I still love to this day.Great service!!!! I had a bulb on my projector burn out early (but out of warranty). They went to bat for me with the manufacturer and got me a replacement for free. You won't get that level of service at Best Buy. I would go back to these guys in a second.

Dexter Adams: Wired South customer service is incredible! I called on off-hours and left a message explaining my problem, which I rarely do because follow-up usually takes forever or never happens. Wired South called me THE next business day and first thing in the morning. They had me scheduled immediately. Now that I think about it, they actually correctly diagnosed me over the phone before even coming out. Today I'd forgetten about the service visit but their awesome tech, Joe waited up for me while I jetted back home. He had me fixed and running in minutes! I love my whole-home wiring! Boss!

Jaymin Patel: I called to get an in-home estimate and information on installing my home theater equipment in my new house and mounting two TVs (one downstairs and one on third floor where the home-theater was setup). I spoke with Karl to start- he was incredibly knowledgeable! During the in-home estimate, he suggested optimal places to lay out where I needed everything installed and discussed potential options. During the installation day, we recapped everything we spoke about during the in-home estimate. My space was incredibly challenging to work with in my opinion as its on the third floor with limited to no crawl space (depending on area) and no "attic". They did an amazing job installing my speakers and running in-wall wiring as well as mounting my rear speakers. All prices were fair and they exceeded my expectations. I have planned and envisioned what this room would look like for months and they absolutely delivered! A bonus was they cleaned up after themselves as the installation was underway. Honestly if I could give them 6 stars I would do it without hesitation! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a company and people who are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about tech. If I ever have any more work, I will 100% be contacting Element Integration!

Karl and his team were super professional, knowledgable, extremely well priced, great sense of humor, and all around fun to be around. I knew when I first talked with Karl that this was most likely going to be the company. However I still wanted to get multiple quotes and these guys were the best price hands down by quite a bit.I ended up having them do some extra stuff that wasn't in the original quote the day of the install, extra network drop, in wall speaker wires for rear surrounds, and it was still significantly cheaper than the other companies I spoke with based on the original quote. No questions asked, they were happy to do it. I mentioned to them how the home builders put a pull cord in smurf tubing downstairs that was to short, they said they could fix that for me and just did it.Everything they did was super clean and professional. They truly care about their work. Everything was treated as if it were their own home which I appreciate these days. They were extremely polite, took their shoes off, vacuumed and cleaned up everything. Tested all network jacks, helped me tweak my AVR a bit, adjusted cameras to my liking etc.I supplied all of my own ubiquity equipment, network rack, cameras, ceiling speakers, etc and they had no problem with that. When they were here I asked if they could help install my network rack on the wall, no questions asked they just hopped on it and they did an excellent job. Another company wanted to charge me $500 for a network rack even if I had my own which was absurd.I had them do 7 cat6 network drops, access point in hallway upstairs, security cameras outside, ceiling atmos speakers, ran speaker wires to the back wall for my rear surrounds. Extremely happy with all the work done. Wish I could have spent more time with them as it was a pleasure. This is my go to company for all future work.Thanks again to everyone at Element Integration.

They looked at what I was trying to accomplish and warned me that they might run into issues running the cable where I was hoping due to the construction of the house. But they were able to get it done in a modified way that suited my needs just as well and am really happy with the results. Both were very friendly, personable, did a great job and I wouldn't think twice about contacting them again for any work in the future!
Henry Rich: 5 stars does not begin to do justice to the service I got.They installed some Ethernet runs in my house 2 years ago. Last week I upgraded my router, and one of my computers stopped working. I moved the connection from port to port on the router, and it failed on every port. So I reported it as a bad wire and asked them to look into it.It turned out to be 3 simultaneous failures: a patch wire that led to my computer had a problem - they found that in seconds. But the computer still didn't work. I was totally baffled. It turned out that my computer was misconfigured, and somehow it had worked with the old router. And to make that harder to find, our second laptop had the same misconfiguration. Their networking expert got on the phone and found the problems in short order.Total time to fix: 2 hours. Total cost: $0. Element Integration gives you peace of mind in addition to a job well done.
Yosh 7 (Yosh 7): I cold called and was so lucky to find Dan. We have just purchased a home built in 1999 and Dan has added CAT 6 to the entire house, re-wired phone lines into working CAT 5, organized a home network closet, and refreshed coax and plates in the entire house. On top of that Dan and Jeff expertly ran wire for my theater. Can’t recommend this company enough. Super professional and you can’t find experts with this level of AV and networking knowledge at any electronics store in NC. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Steven Shannon: Like many others, we have children who are learning from home this year. Like some others, we also have teachers who have to teach from home this year. This can kill wifi bandwidth. Element came out and installed three LAN ports in our house and now our kids are remote learning with GB/sec bandwidth... no more glitching, drops, or delays. Worth every penny, and these guys did an amazing job. Will be going back to them when we look to upgrade AV or internet in the house in the future. Highly recommend.
