Rex Outpatient Rehabilitation of Cary, A Department of Rex Hospital: what do users think?
Lisa McCorkle: The physical therapy I have received here has been far more effective than anywhere else I have tried. The physical therapists here are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They are located conveniently at the Rex Wellness Center in Cary. Because they are so great though, it can sometimes be quite a wait to get in for an appointment.
Marybeth Merkle: Check the prices before you use this facility. They charged me $227 for 30 minutes of PT versus the $90 I paid for an hour at Raleigh Ortho. The service and facilities aren't any better than Raleigh Ortho either. I'm not sure why they charge so much. I used it because it was recommended by my PA. I won't be using this facility again.

UNC REX Hospital: what do users think?
Valerie DeFazio: I can't understand the 3.1 stars. My mom has been in the hospital there for the past week. I have to say, all the nurses and everyone in the ER and on the 3rd floor west side has been absolutely amazing with her. Just 1,000 % great. With me also as a visitor that was there ALOT. It was so much easier knowing the high level of care she received. Down to the people who delivered her food. Everyone.
Aseel Mahdi: Is very bad hospital all the receptionist is not good and they have bad behavior and tell them my son have pain they don’t care I am watching 2 hours even see the doctors
catty cox: Dr. Marcella WILLIS GRAY. YOU ROCK! You have renewed my faith in your facility. Every single person in your crew rocked. The nurses anesthesiologist aides and behind the scene's people that schedule and make sure that all the information is exact and intact for everyone to do their thing and let's get it done. I am feeling liberated. And freed. Still healing. And being happy and well can do wonders. Woo hoo. Thank you. Thank you and thank you from the bottom of my little stitches. Lol
Joseph Hsu: This is specifically about the birthing center. We delivered our baby here and love love love the nursing staff. They basically make the world go around and are what made a difficult delivery amazing. They don’t get enough recognition.Whole birthing and postpartum process was very well thought out and really had the families in mind. The hospital itself was also good. Our experience felt very supported from an room/equipment/bed point of view too.
Andrea Hurst: I had a day procedure in the hospital itself. I found the whole experience very impersonal and like a rushed assembly line. The nurses and others moved in and out so fast I was even left with blood dripping down my arm after a blood draw. Not a great experience with the anesthesia and still waiting for that report and no one followed up. The minute I opened my eyes almost I was rushed to get dressed and get out. A few of the nurses took the time to say a few words. I ran a high fever afterwards but I will say someone did answer the phone there and help get me to a person to talk to about it after the UNC Rex Digestive Raleigh doctor's office would never answer my call or return it. It is sad to see the state of today's healthcare system.
Scott Buckley: Excellent care. Highly professional staff and very thorough care. Great hospital!
1Beauty USA: I was an outpatient for eye surgery, We traveled there. Doctor & Staff treated us like family. Made sure that I was comfortable before and after surgery, not only me they made sure my family was comfortable as well... I must add...Dr. Brian P Lehpamer is an AWESOME eye doctor who cares about his patients. If you are ever in need of eye care he's definitely the trusted one!! Thank you, Thank you Dr. Brian & Staff!! " UNC Health REX Hospital #No1" Stay Blessed!!🙌
Terry Horne: This hospital is awesome best care and folks ever. We’ve had four family members stay here for COVID to heart related issues. They were awesome. I highly recommend this hospital and we live about 45 minutes away. Well worth the drive. Rex are you starting to slip with the care you once were given????
Rubrick Perez: The slowest rapid response I've ever experienced in my 12 years experience of working in a hospital. Nurses are slow to react in a patient's critical condition same with the so-called rapid response team. It took them almost an hour to finally give a lopressor to my dad whose HR was 136 and BP was already 169/117. HFNC was only given when the patient's O2 sat dropped to 60 eventhough I was already asking for it since the very start my father was having difficulty breathing and literally gasping for air and begging for oxygen. They are swifter to call security on me and fill the floor with security personnel when I was only trying to call their attention as my father's vitals are off and nobody was coming inside the room to respond to the call RAPIDLY. This happened June 11, 2023. Same thing happened with my brother last night, June 14, when he was assigned to look after our dad. It took them more than 30 minutes before coming to the room and assess our dad. Their reason was they were reaching out and trying to get a hold of the doctor to take some orders before going to the patient's room when they're supposed to be in the patient's room and can make that call while evaluating the condition of the patient. Why are they SO SLOW when they're supposed to be responding RAPIDLY? Isn't it why they are called Rapid Response Team in that they are expected to respond rapidly in an emergent critical condition or situation? What are they waiting for? Are they only gonna act when the patient has already died? Why are they not acting proactively? Most nurses are not nice. They don't know how to empathize. Why don't they try even for once to put their feet on our shoes, much so to the patient's shoes so they would feel how we feel? Now I understand why your overall rating is only 3.1. It makes sense to me but there is still room to change and improve. Try doing this, provide GENUINE care and love. Empathize and put yourselves in the patient's and family's situation. Honestly, I would give you a rating of -2.
Carolina Girl: Horrible place to work, worst job I've had in 12 years. Only nice thing about this place is the scenery.
Bird Tus: I have gone to this facility for a few years and it just sucks every time. The receptionists are very rude and are absolutely no help with simple issues. The doctors care more about giving you pills for the money than actually providing reasonable care.
Danette Scott: Had an outpatient procedure. They were fantastic from check in to check out. The team there worked together and everything ran like clockwork. I did not have a single negative experience. Cannot say enough good things about this place and the Dr.
Candace Williams: Great hospital! They took good care of us during my last pregnancy. Now we have a 2 month health, baby girl! Thank you for taking care of us!
Sue Moody: Rex isnt about them, it’s about you! When wandering the hall late at night to find the cafeteria and a staff members asks if he can help my confused expression, he walked me around a few corners until I could see the sign; the nutrition lady brought in the patient tray and then pleasantly asked if there was anything else she could do for the patient or family member; to a person (even doctors LOL) each person we interacted with was all about taking CARE of the patient and the family member. PLUS the medical care is something you can immediately TRUST. Thank you UNC Rex Heart!
Joe Johnson: Worst experience ever left in waiting room forever with a million sick people
Adrienne Berry: My 91 year old mother is currently in the ED. She is having a second urine sample done because the first one was contaminated by the initial - crossed with another patient's urine sample according to the nurse. Now the nurse is threatening to catherize her so that she can provide a second sample.I think we may just leave and go home.We will go to Wake Med or Duke the next time.
Kristin Matthews: Rex hospital is not as good as it used to be. They have gone downhill with their ability to provide good care, especially when it pertains to dealing with geriatric patients. My 85 year old father was in for severe septic shock. They did do a good job treating him and helping him to recover; however, there was no communication to family and his discharge was a giant cluster. I found out he was being discharged when the pharmacy needed money for one of his discharge medicines. The “care manager” leave a lot to be desired. They should be verifying a patient’s home needs with family and notifying them of updates about discharge. I am very disappointed and at this point would not recommend using Rex.
Raghava varma: Had a pleasant overall experience, when we visited for my wife’s surgery. Nurses (in our case) were polite and friendly. The procedure was smooth and doctor informed me right after surgery about my wife’s situation.I thank Dr.Inge for taking care of the procedure carefully and the nurses for their support and care. I would recommend this hospital. But I would strictly not recommend unc rex emergency unit. That place needs some help either with man power or values.
Allen Cooke: Wonderful care and great doctors!
Dessie Clark: First time being seen in ED at Rex. Never had such a good experience. Seen immediately. All staff very knowledgeable and pleasant and concerned for my issue. I can’t say enough great things about them. Highly recommend.
Mary Miller: This review is for the labor and delivery center:1.) Nurses, anesthesiologist, and doctors are beyond astounding. I wish I could remember names to give them the appropriate recognition. They were all so amazing especially considering there were 20 births the day I was admitted to have my baby.2.). Food was terrible lol…but it’s a hospital and they were really busy when I happened to be there so assuming they just didn’t have time to support all the orders3.) whoever my anesthesiologist was…you sir are amazing. Didn’t feel the epidermal at all and no issues following it’s removal.4.) beds are uncomfortable, but it’s a hospital, not the Ritz.5.) They need wheelchairs downstairs by the entry of the labor and delivery area of the hospital. Also, the man downstairs who was directing calls and sending people up to labor and delivery was pretty ridiculous….I was in labor and he made me wait while he looked up the room number for people visiting someone in the hospital. I’m like “I’m going to give birth on the floor…where do I go?” And that’s when he’s like oh you can go to the second floor…no offer of assistance when I was by myself.
