Beth Nash: We are pleased to recommend Triangle Reconstruction with our highest praise. It seems too simple to say that they do what they said they’d do, but that’s exactly what happened. Our home is around 50 years old. Ours was a large job - around a month and $30,000. We had Triangle Reconstruction come in after another moisture company provided mold remediation and a humidifier. I wish we’d contacted TR to start with. We provided TR with a structural engineering report. They created a plan to exactly meet all of engineer’s concerns. TR used temporary supports and replaced seal plates, girders, and joists for over half of our home. In addition, they poured footers and built new columns. They also added a few additional girders to firm up our floors. They removed and replaced our insulation. They sealed our porch and crawl space, replaced our vapor barrier, and installed a moisture meter. They wrapped our electrical cords and hung them.We were treated with respect at every step of the process. Both Brian and Rob were available at any time we had a question via text or phone call. From Brian, we received a daily morning report, with the benchmarks they hoped to accomplish that day, who would be on site, when the workers would arrive, and an update of what was accomplished the previous day. We were provided with a ton of photos and videos to document the progress under the house. Either Rob or Brian was on site each day. Rob took care of all permitting and being present on site when the town inspectors visited. The majority of the work in the crawlspace was done by Jose and Juan Carlos with some support by Valentin. Jose painstakingly hand selected each piece of lumber. My husband was impressed with the quality of lumber. Each worker who came out to our house was detail-oriented and respectful of us and our property. The work space was kept tidy and waste was removed daily.We were very worried about workers getting injured given the structural damage and the tight crawlspace. We appreciated that TR did not work their crews excessively long days. The guys had a milestone to hit each day. Sometimes they worked for four hours. Sometimes six. At no point were the crews expected to put in 10- and 12-hour days and work to the point that accidents could happen. As a family with kids, this was also respectful of our home’s routines.We are particularly grateful for the Jose’s perfectionist tendencies. My husband is an engineer and critical. He was stunned at how Jose and Juan Carlos removed wood that was spongelike and now our crawlspace looks like a brand new house. The joints are tight. Everything is perfectly lined up. Only screws were used (no nails like we see from our early 1970s construction) and joist hangers supplement each board to ensure they stay in place. Our home has never felt more solid and sturdy.Brian is exceptional in what he does. He is precise in his speech. He is respectful and kind. He pitches in to help the crews whenever needed. One day, I caught him on his hands and knees in our driveway making sure no errant nails had escaped their cleanup. I work from home and as such, was home each day. At least twice a week, he’d walk me through what was happening, explaining why they were doing certain things. Brian would walk through the interior and take note of changes we were seeing. When needed, he’d have Jose come inside to see changes and adapt midstream. At these times, both Brian and Jose (and sometime Rob) listened, made notes, explained what was happening in a way I could understand without being demeaning.Due to the extent of the damage, we did have some minor cosmetic damage inside (cracking in sheet rock, hardwood floors moving, etc). Brian kept a running list of what we saw inside. As he predicted, the majority of those resolved themselves in a matter of days due to the talents of Jose and Juan Carlos. Upon their recommendation, we withheld a retainer. The crew will be back in six weeks or so to handle any needed shimming and fix minor cosmetic damage.

Mason Leitch: I had several folks come out and take a look at our crawl space and we received a lot of feedback about how if we didn’t clean out our crawl space immediately we would have major health problems and the house would fall apart. Triangle Reconstruction came out and confirmed what I already knew from my own personal inspection and that of the home inspector before we purchased the house, we had some issues but nothing too crazy. There was no gloom and doom or high pressure tactics to get us to use Triangle Reconstruction. Robert showed me pictures of the problem areas and explained what they could do to fix the issues. Robert provided a good, better, best plan and clearly went through what they could provide and what we could expect. The clean out, encapsulation, and dehumidifier install was done in about two days and I’m very happy with the results. I will continue to recommend Triangle Reconstruction.

When I initially suggested another french drain his team could install, he told me he didn't think it would be necessary; that we could consider building it if the other drains we were installing didn't solve the problem. They provided different lines for their recommendations and we chose which services we wanted to go with (e.g., we did not choose radiant barrier installation). The team of two that did the work were friendly, efficient and did a great job. Most importantly, we got exactly what we wanted from the project. We immediately felt better comfort in our home. Our bonus room over the garage that was once cold or hot depending on the outside temperature is surprisingly stable now, and this review is about 2 mo from installation. We got 3 estimates, 2 of which were from larger companies that advertise on tv. I happened to see Crawlspaces and Beyond's truck in the Lowes parking lot and wrote down the phone number. I called and spoke with Brian and he came to our house to inspect our crawlspace. I appreciated the fact that Brian was not pushy and didn't use any sales gimmicks like the larger companies. He simply gave us his honest opinion and made his recommendations. He gave us an estimate that was significantly cheaper than the 2 larger companies. They performed a full encapsulation on our crawlspace, removed the old, saturated insulation, treated the floor joists with anti-fungal solution, and installed a sump pump. Naeill Leigh: Worked with Scott and team to have attic open cell spray foamed. Since we have 2x8 the Agribalance open cell worked amazing to give us the R-30 that we needed in the attic. Once paid the deposit was able to get scheduled and the folks that came out to spray was super nice - did a great job. Sealed off the attic and you can tell that it keeps in the heat in and hopefully it keeps heat out in summer :) Also Scott filed for the Duke Energy rebate so even got a surprise - Thanks Scott!

Eric Smith: I would NOT recommend MPI. Hired them to spray in closed cell. As soon as the weather warmed up I could hear a loud snapping sound coming from the attic area. The foam was pulling away from the rafters leaving 1-2 inch gaps. MPI sent two guys to “touch up” the gaps which were everywhere. I overheard the guys asking themselves, “who sprayed this job? They must have had the mix wrong”. We had already dry walled our vaulted ceilings but could see that the foam had also pulled away from the rafters in this area. I asked MPI if they were going to arrange to have the drywall taken down to spray all the cracks but they refused saying this was outside their scope of work. Not sure if there are gaps in the walls. Frustrated and stressed out over the poor quality.

Gwen Dickens: The crew was very professional and engaging. They did a great job cleaning up after the job was over as well! We have already noticed a good difference with the added insulation.

Brian M: Wanted a French drain installed at my house. After they were done there was no difference in what I had before, which was nothing. Water was and is still sitting on top of the ground and goes nowhere. They installed a 12x12 grate on one side and an exit pipe on the other side. Supposedly they came out and checked it out and told me I needed additional grading. This tells me they didn’t install a fence drain where water drains into the ground the entire length of the pipe, they installed something where water will just enters at point A and exits at point B. Not what I wanted. I emailed them multiple times and had no response. I then contacted the better business bureau. I understand now they don’t understand what my complaint is, and feel what they installed is correct. Also they tried to charge 1600 and when I didn’t want to do it I was asked for how much would it take to earn my business. When I stated 800 they jumped on it. Finding out later in the BBB complaint they did me a favor by doing it for 800. Bottom line we are not on the same page and didn’t install what I wanted and still have standing water to this day. Just be careful of hiring this company for anything other than insulation.As a follow up to this. I had another contractor come out and actually install a French drain. A French drain which included a corrugated pipe with holes on the bottom, fabric and gravel. This company ripped out what eco maters had installed. All that was installed was a corrugated pipe with no holes no fabric and no gravel. All it was meant to do was for all the water to go in a 12x12 plastic inlet and out a pop up drain about 50 feet away. If the water did not flow into this inlet it would just sit and still remain a muddy mess. Now that I have an actual French drain installed water can drain through the gravel and into this pipe with holes the entire length of the property which is what I wanted from the very beginning. I just threw money away with eco masters. If you want pictures of the useless installation please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Chrys Browne: Jonathan and his crews did a great job sealing and insulating my OLD attic. They did an energy audit pre- and post- improvements and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! They also cleared out my crawlspace and completely replaced the vapor barrier. They worked diligently without taking breaks. Even though the job took longer than expected (as is often the case with older houses) they maintained their composure and provided high quality work. I'm extremely pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

John spent his own time with me preparing a cost analysis on the phone using the same data supplied by the other contractor and asking numerous specific questions to ensure accuracy. Results from John confirmed the overcharge/price gouging submitted by the contractor in question. John's calculated cost analysis was considerably lower and provided detailed information. I would without hesitation recommend John's company.
