Warm 'n Fuzzy: what do users think?
Micaela Clark Harmon: The new owner, Shiloh, is lovely and has brought some exciting new brands into the shop. My favorite local yarn shop by far!
Edna Quintana: I went into this yarn store today, and the owner by the name of Shiloh, who bought this yarn store recently with the name Warm and Fuzzy located in Cary, NC, refused to spin my two skeins of yarn for knitting when she told me that she will charge me $4.00 for each skeins and I came from Raleigh to get that done, and she gave me some excuse for not wanting to do it; and I explained that it took me two hours to do it myself, and she seemed not to care even though I bought yarn from here recently and other items for about $60.00 and I walked out being hurt at not being taken care for. I am 76 years old and I like to knit, but she did not seem to care about me. Today is Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Ness Shortley: Great local yarn shop with a lot of options! Staff are warm and knowledgeable and have great suggestions. Lots of cute notions, too! Highly recommend.
Bonnie Thompson: Found the knitting needles I was looking for. Lots of pretty squishy yarns.
Josh Whetton: Shiloh was great help! Nice selection of yarn and tools.
Merav Hoffman: Really quick service! Nice yarn selection for mail order.
Becky Mullins: This shop is tucked away in the corner of a strip of shops. Loads of yarns of colors and weights. Staff was super helpful on some color choices.
Debbie West: Shipped right away, arrived on time, excellent tracking!! Thank you!
Zeinab Abrahim: Had an unfortunate experience at this store. The owner, Rebecca , made a culturally insensitive comment towards my 8 year old daughter, while in a private lesson. We left very disappointed and will not be coming back.
Mai Suwan: SIMPLY AMAZING. Best yarn shop in the triangle. Friendly and helpful owner. Wondrous assortment of yarns. The whole 9 yards!I am your stereotypical introverted WFH homebody type of gal AND I actually look forward to coming in and shopping for my next project. I dread going shopping and I usually avoid salespeople and all eye contact with anyone in public like the plague but there’s something different about this store! The owner is always interested in what I’m making, always has recommendations as to what yarn to get, and loves talking about future projects for inspiration. She is a delight (and I usually do not delight in the company of strangers). All of the other customers in there are also a treat. Cute elderly ladies and others sharing in a common hobby. Everyone is so nice to chat with and I always leave the store in a better mood than when I entered. Also, huge bonus is that they offer free cake winding as long as the shop isn’t too busy. Enjoy the company and continuing to touch all the yarns while you wait :)Can’t say enough good things about this business!
lana jenkins: This is a great shop. The owner and employees are always super helpful, even help you fix knitting disasters of your own making. The selection is always being updated with more great yarns and tools. This is also a place where I have seen the great care that is taken to treat everyone well. Highly recommend a visit. It is a small business and sometimes multiple things are going on at the same time, be patient if this happens, it is worth it! This doesn’t happen often. When it is your turn you will be happy with the service and leave with great supplies for your next creation.
Laura Tolbert Engel: Rebecca was very helpful with me as I thought through the pattern choice and type of yarn I needed to make a new project. She also special ordered a set of needles and they came in quickly!
Alberto J. Fedeli: The staff are helpful and friendly. The yarn selection is great. The store is nicely laid out.Amongst the practical things, the store is such a calm happy feeling place. There's something oddly cathartic about how truly warm and fuzzy you'll feel looking through the selection of beautiful yarns.
Jessica Story-Johnson: The kind of place you find, love, buy way too much from, and call your mom about when you get back in the car. The owner was SO kind, explained yarn weights, showed me some local dyed yarns, and was just a sincerely nice person to talk to. The store is warm and inviting without being overwhelming, and prices are good. I could see picking up some skeins and sitting on their couch to knit up a storm in the near future. Can't wait to take some classes and finish my planned projects so I can come back for more!
Jessica Friedlander: They have a great selection and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. They chatted and provided advice, and answered all my questions, as well as offered up extra help. I will definitely go back for yarn and to sign up for lessons.
Sara Reese: Warm and Fuzzy is the perfect name for this shop. Not only is there wide selection of beautiful yarns, the staff and instructors who work in the store and the community that frequents the store are warm and welcoming. As a new knitter I have received so much help to get started. My enthusiasm for knitting has grown and it has much to do with Warm and Fuzzy. Don't miss out on visiting this shop and picking up your yarn and supplies for your next project!
Knittinggrammi M: Although I live in New York City, whenever I come down to visit my family I always stop in Warm ‘n Fuzzy. I love the selection of Yarn‘s, Buttons, accessories, etc. Rebecca is always so helpful and makes sure that she takes the time to answer all your questions. It is one of my favorite yarn stores and I wish that I lived closer
Liz Hubbe: I've been a fan of Warm N' Fuzzy since the shop opened. It is a friendly place with a great selection of yarn and great service.
Joyce White: Warm 'n Fuzzy is always a very welcoming and helpful place to get advise and great yarn options!
SB M: I don't typically write reviews, but feel compelled in this case. I went to this shop for the first time to pick up some nice yarn as a gift for a friend. I was initially greeted pleasantly, but as I was browsing, the employee started talking - loudly - to another woman (maybe an employee?) about a phone conversation she had just had with her "least favorite customer ever." She went into quite a bit of detail about how annoying and unreasonable this person was, though from my perspective, it only seemed like she was frustrated and confused. Regardless, I was horrified that a business person would insult a customer over and over while another customer was shopping. The employee even tried to loop me into this pile-on. I was planning on buying yarn for my friend and also hoped to find something nice for my next project. Instead, I purchased the gift yarn and got out as fast as I could. In hindsight, I wish I had walked out without buying anything. That was my first and last experience with Warm 'n Fuzzy.
Jacqueline Gamble: Beautiful yarns! Friendly & helpful staff!

JOANN Fabric and Crafts: what do users think?
Santiago Martinez: Great customer service
TALIA Will Tell Ya: Found what I was in need of and super helpful crew!
Josh Whetton: Lots of yarn in stock! Found what I was looking for and more.
Andy Cochran: Everything was all over the place...
Rebecca Hurwitz: Lots of knowledgeable help and items to choose from
Kelly McNutt: Short staffing and stores a mess. There's not much on shelves. Disorganized. Heard fabric cutter sat they don't even have time to put away bolts of fabric. It's like this everywhere. At least the staff they have ate friendly.
Lee Caitlin Garcia: Had an order pick up that I placed online. Cashier was rude and told me I had to wait in line like everyone else. Could’ve been nicer. What’s the point of ordering ahead if I still have to wait in a 30 minute line due to only having 1 cashier.
S T: My beautiful wife needed some fabric to create some teddy bears and this is her go to place. There's tons of fabric options. If you can't find it here I don't think it exists lol!The fabrics range from traditional solid color or patterns to theme celebrated options. The staff was quite courteous and helpful. The store wasn't overflowing with too much traffic in the checkout lines were quick. The fabric wasn't the only thing available there. She was able to purchase the inside stuffing, thread color desired as well as the tail, nose and eyes.I asked her if she would recommend the store and she said definitely. It has everything she needs in one place.
Andrea Wilson: I love this place. Friendly staff and a great Hero Arts stamp and die selection.
Danielle Sacripante: I definitely liked JOANN fabrics better than Michaels for beading but even better is HOBBY LOBBY!! Lots more tools, wiring, crafting to choose from.
Armando Baptiste: Really cool cut counter staff that I talked to; I think one's name was Mimi and the other was a middle aged black lady. They where straight up and got me what I needed to get. Great deals at this Joann too, was a good experience and will be back.
Tanya Harned: Not usually a quick errand due to the lack of cashiers.
Mary Safi: One of my favorite places
Nicole Richardson: Good
Stefanie Hansen: Great sales and helpful staff
Bret Jefferson: Great staff, stayed open late Xmas eve for my pickup... WOW
The Reluctant Artist: Even though the staff is short, they've always managed to attend to every customer. Amazing team.
Ann P.: Always find what I need here, staffs are friendly and helpful.
Dee Donihi: They had everything I needed and plenty of stock. Just really expensive
Rena Bragg: Very busy establishment. Difficult to find an employee with sewing machine knowledge to assist with purchase.
Pennie Locklear: Big selection, good sales, clerks are friendly. Cons are wait at cutting table and checkout. Though today was better than usual!

Racquel Rowland: Self service counter, NO restroom lol, still Pandemic in this store
Michael Hunt: Helped a lot with my custom frame for a diploma
Alicia Lecceardone: Seed bank💚

Myra B.: Helpful staff! Love coming here!
Haya Rasheed: Very nice place , I love it
Zoe Miller: I go here on the daily at this point. It's so addicting to get new craft stuff!! They have everything you could ever imagine here!
Steven Fried: Çonvience in finding what i needed
Lacy 2 Nd Phone Nunez: Love this store!!
Shannon Myers: Many isles are incorrectly labeled, most visits I need to ask for assistance locating items the app says are in stick, and it is difficult to find an employee to assist with this. Position es are this store has a self check out that is fast and easy to use, including using coupons.
Vlad Gafurov: Super cheap, has self-checkout terminals. Got myself a cool frame there
Daniel Picarsic: My wife always finds what she wanted and more.
Frank Alvarez: Great store
Joshua M.: Good selection of paints, sadly their clearance stuff is pretty well gone. Which is good for them!
Kyle Fisher: Much newer location. The cosplay section is shrinking but I still love michaels
Lisa Vines: The store itself is great, but the new self checkout is terrible. I needed assistance with an item and was told they’d be right with me, but then I was subsequently ignored for the next 5-10 minutes. It was a relatively quiet afternoon. I had to cancel my transaction and go back through the store to find a replacement item and then get back into the line.
Shane Armstrong: Decent selection, pretty well stocked. Service is friendly as well. Had to shop here on Christmas Eve and it was pretty smooth.

Yarns Etc: what do users think?
Emily Rose: I love this place! I went in for my first knitting project and she helped me find the right yarn. Super friendly, local place! I'll definitely keep coming back - been in twice already.
Linda Bulls: I was visiting ChapelHill and needed a pouch for my notions - they had a nice leather one that will last forever! Loved my purchase and the pleasant chats with staff and customers!
Kelsey Ward: Took my sewing machine in for a tune-up 3 weeks ago and still have not heard back. I was told it would be a 1-week turn-around AND that I would get a call when it was ready. So far I've had no communication from them and nobody will answer my calls in the store. There is no way to leave a a voicemail. Can't tell if they just don't know how to run a business or if they're trying to steal my machine?I will update this if I ever get my machine back.Update: Machine is back, and had never even been looked at. I understand that there are things that happen (snow/COVID) but customer communication would be nice. Some of us have projects we need to be working on and want to be able to trust a turn around time on our machine. The woman was kind of rude, which I didn't appreciate. All in all, I won't go back.
Carol Younkin: Nice collection of quality natural & man-made fibres, as well as tools and accessories. Mary has introduced many new lines of yarns, including locally dyed. Get expert help with your projects when you run into difficulties with a technique or don’t understand a pattern. Why buy online when you can shop locally and see the true colours and feel the yarns? Support your independent business. Frequent purchases earn a discount.
Laurene Stubbs: Friendly helpful service and great yarn selections. I found what I needed. Sharon was wonderfully friendly. I felt as if I’d known her for years.
Rebecca Ruano: Small shop with plenty of options and a library’s worth of knitting and crochet patterns. The owner is friendly. I asked for a pattern that I had seen but didn’t know the name of. I described how it looked and she knew what I was talking about. She looked and looked through her patterns and when she couldn’t find it (I was there really close to closing time), she told me where I could find it online and gave me search terms to look up. I actually found the pattern I was looking for thanks to her instructions! I’m so grateful! I’ve been looking for this pattern for years! And I only found it thanks to this wonderfully chatty shop owner. Also, I love the yarn I bought there.
Teresa Fischer: I LOVE Yarns Etc! Mary carries beautiful yarns and is always ready to help her customers with knitting and crochet questions or boo-boos.
Mara W: Cozy and welcoming. Great place to come work on your knitting or crocheting. Have everything you could possibly want and more in supplies.
Catherine Kehl: Delightful selection, charming and helpful owner.
Laura Auerbach: I had a wonderful experience here!! Great selection of yarns at realistic prices. The proprietor, Mary, is marvelous!! Helpful, knowledgeable and generous!!
Sarah Chittenden: The selection is ok here. Sadly the majority of the time when I have been here looking for something they don't have the quantity needed for the project that I'm looking for. The owner also becomes very distracted with personal business, such as phone calls from her boyfriend and then disappears into the back of the store or stands there talking even though you are ready to check out.
Samantha Carroll: Wonderful store! Love the selection. The woman who helped me was very friendly. I will return when I am back in the area.
Nicole Oman: Owner was very nice. We had a great chat
Deborah Hughes: This may be the only independently owned yarn store in Chapel Hill/Durham. It was originally in the Whole Foods Shopping Center in Chapel Hill, but moved to the Eastgate area in the strip behind Talbots (along Fordham Blvd). It is small, but it has a lot of beautiful yarn at fair prices. The proprietress is always very knowledgeable and helpful, and it looks to me like a lot of people enjoy coming into to sit and knit with her.
Brenda Kulp: Yarns Etc. has a wonderful selection of yarns, talented, supportive staff and class instructors. I love that I am supported so I can grow my independence as a knitter, preparing me to take on projects requiring higher skill level with confidence and at the same time allow me opportunities to ask for assistance when I get stumped. The shop has a friendly "at home" feeling, while at the same time operates professionally.
Regina Hill: I feel very welcomed when shopping. Finding exactly what I need for my next knitting project is easy because they have a fabulous selection to choose from.
Linda Wagoner: Great Yarn, and wonderful help with your projects! !
Kelly Eason: I'm a fool to shop at a store where I'm unwelcomed
Tim D'Annecy: Quaint little shop with everything you need for quilting, crocheting, and more!
Jo Sanders: The most knowledgeable staff - best selection of yarn and many classes are offered! There are also women who come to knit and share their knitting expertise to those who need a wee nudge through a problem! No better place for those of us who love creating with yarn.Oh - and men come in too!!! After all, they were the first knitters!
Mavis Jarnagin: They lost me as a customer today! After calling to see if they had a needle in stock I was told they would call back because they were so busy. I didn't hear back and chanced driving there and found what I needed in a store empty of customers. As I checked out the "clerk" talked with another employee and never once engaged with me including no thank you for my business etc. I will never go back!Check out Cozy in Durham!

They are so knowledgeable about all the crafts. The selection is really diverse and you can find a bit of everything.I've made garments, project bags, mini quilting projects, knit shawls, and made a valentine's garland all from the shop. It's hard to find in-person garment fabric in a small shop so I appreciate that they always have options.Plus the owner, Amelia, loves a good gingham.

Everything you need for quilting, garment sewing, bags, etc. They even materials for knitting, embroidery, etc. all my favorite things! They also shipped quickly! I love out of town and can’t wait to make a trip one weekend to visit in person.
Lena Hudock: My favorite local fabric store in the Durham/Chapel Hill area! I can always count on them for my last minute fabric needs. They stock a great selection of Ruby Star Society which I can’t find anywhere else locally!
Margaret Benson Nemitz: Every time I’ve gone into Freeman’s Creative, I’ve been greeted with helpful employees who inspire me and are patient through all my questions. AND I so much appreciate them keeping me and other higher covid risk people safer through continued masking!
