Maria Teslik: First of all - check out Sam’s custom lamps that he is making from art glass and semi-precious gem stones - this guy is so modest about these incredible pieces he is pouring his carefully honed craftsmanship into - really ask him about it!I went to Sam on my 51st birthday to have a lamp of my great aunts reworked and I brought it to him in a state of dissection from a failed attempt to rewire it myself.He sized up the situation with his trained and experienced eye and focused in on restoring that lamp with full intent. That lamp worked against him but like a patient trainer breaks a stallion, he stayed with it until it was reworked and in service and beauty again! Then, because he is an artist, he went through his collection of seemingly magical lamp-objects and added a periodically perfect touch of a extended brass knob and a lovely classy elegant top. Absolutely perfect!What a delight to be in the presence of someone who values and demands excellence in his craft at all levels.Obviously - strongly recommend.Thank you Sam!!

C Perotti: These brothers do a great job at a good price. We've been bringing our lights to be repaired to them years. One time I asked them to take a lamp bottom from a lamp the shade had broken on and see if they could create a new lamp with another mica shade I had from another lamp. Rachel Petillo: I had several old lamps from my apartment in Paris moved to North Carolina. Every lamp had to be re-wired to work with US plugs. Lighting Inc handled each lamp with care and they were all working just fine once they were finished. They even provided new light bulbs for each lamp. They delivered them to my apartment safely and the whole process was quick/smooth. I ended up knocking over one of my floor lamps, breaking off the socket from the lamp base after they left. They let me bring it back in and fixed it without any hesitation. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is simply because they didn't call to notify me when the lamp was fixed the second time, so it was sitting there ready for a few days. Other than that, both John and Fred were kind, professional, and easy to communicate with. Victoria Allred-Bennett: Based on Google reviews I went to Lighting, Inc on Dec 5, 2016. They have an impressive collection of antique lights - very fun to look at. There were 4 very nice gentlemen who spent the hour that I was there, discussing their weekends and how their wives were, while I browsed. I selected a light. I paid a 50% deposit and arranged for some changed to the light - wiring, painting it a bronze color, etc. They told me the light had been there 12 years so you would think they'd be thrilled to move it. They told me they were backed up on "repairs" by 4-6 weeks when I paid my deposit. I waited 8 weeks. When there was no proactive call, I called them. Nothing had been done to my light. They told me "we're backed up 4-6 weeks, we'll get back to you". We did this dance periodically for six MONTHS. I finally called them a week ago (last week of June 2017) and told them I'm done waiting. They kindly agreed to refund my money with profuse apologies. They again cited "we're backed up 4-6 weeks". I said, "no you're not, it's been 6 months". The gentleman on the phone (VERY nice) said, "your order has been placed out of sight, out of mind" and "we've not been able to catch up from our move 2 YEARS ago". Please sir. Get it together! Unless you want to buy something from their floor and handle any changes or repairs yourself, don't bother with this place. High point - they did refund my money promptly when requested - which is the ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 (or negative star values...if I could).

I called around and spoke to somebody at Lighting, Inc who talked me through a couple of things I could do to test the switch. A couple of minutes later, I was able to get the switch working and the lamp is working again. I really value businesses that take the time to help.

We have found treasure after treasure at Lighting Inc. They have restored antique fixtures in all sizes and finishes. They also re-wired and re-finished fixtures we found at auctions. They are reasonably and competitively priced. We were very surprised by the large selection available. We have purchased or restored 95% of all of our lighting with Lighting Inc. It is locally owned an operated. Would highly recommend.
