lil ap: My daughter, 6, enjoyed it. Lots of little play areas. It was about $5 for her to play. We picked the $9 pan bucket. She found d so.e cool pieces. It was shaded. Lots of places to sit or explore. Friendly, knowledgeable service.
Marom Lior: Great place for birthdays, or just spending a fun morning with kids.We live so close, and I can't count how many times we passed this place and didn't know it existed...We had a birthday party there. Kids had a blast just exploring all the fun areas (caves, goat petting, swings, and more), followed by the main activity which was mining rocks. You can add special gems for extra $, then relax in a shaded area for some food.We actually stayed after the birthday was over and played outdoors.A few things to notice:- it was warm, so if you are booking a bday, do it in the 1st shift (10:30am)- make sure if there is another event. We were rushed to finish by the employees, but there was no event there. We could actually pay a little extra and won't be in a rush to leaveBottom line: we will be back. It was super-fun :)

Brittany L.: Great place to take your kids for an afternoon out of the house. We got the Jackpot Bucket and it was HUGE. We got two gallon ziploc sized bags of precious gems, fossils, shells, etc. My son loved all the other little playgrounds to play on because he would get tired of sifting through the bucket and want to take a break. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the finds we had too.

Carla Solowiei: This place is great and the staff was absolutely amazing! We traveled to North Carolina for spring break and despite it being cold and rainy we had a good time. We were outside under the covered sluice due to multiple parties going on but the owner was so accommodating. She brought out outdoor patio heaters for us and even sat on the floor in the gift shop playing gemstone bingo with our 8 year old daughter. Wish the weather was better so we could have enjoyed more of the things they have to offer. The prices of the buckets were very reasonable and the little one even found a megalodon tooth in her bucket. So glad we decided to stop here on the way home. We would travel the 3 and a half hours just to come here!
Tim McKenzie: So... If you're tired of bounce house birthdays and you're looking for something fun, give these folks a shot! Our daughter absolutely loves pretty rocks and mentioned wanting to do a rock/gem birthday. A quick Google search later and we found out Blue Diamond was just a few minutes down the road. The best part was despite being 40 degrees out and raining, we had a nice warm covered area to go through the buckets and enjoy some cake afterwards. Everyone had a wonderful time and more than a few parents thanked us for switching it up a bit.

Kyle Parker: My family was in town for spring break and the Blue Diamond appeared in our list of great places to take kids. It did not disappoint! The kids had a great time panning for and learning about the items hidden in their buckets. Even better, Rachel - the manager - was an excellent host and teacher. She eagerly answered all the many questions our kids had about what they discovered and provided the personal attention you don't often find. If we were in the area again, we would definitely pay a return visit to Blue Diamond!

Though if you usually find minerals through actual dirt this might not be for you since it’s more panning for them through bags of dirt

Christal Amos: Staff makes the experience easy for parents and an amazing adventure for the kids! I saw more than a few adults really getting into it themselves.Staff comes around to tell you about the stones in your sifter. They also have a playground with swings, ropes course, and rock climbing at safe heights around the trees. This was a great choice for our family trip!!
James Bersheim: Amazing service, reasonable prices, nicely set up. We got there during a tropical storm so there weren't many people there besides us and the person that worked there. She was very attentive and answered all of our questions. This place is definitely worth your time and money. It's a good outing with your kids in any weather and any temperature.

Santi Roca: I decided to check the store out as a last minute Christmas gift shopping situation. I was immediately glad I did. Every piece I bought was unique and stunning. But the best part was my interactions with Ron. He is a truly nice guy who cares about his craft, and does an amazing job at it. I'm currently having him create a unique set of stud earrings, and I can't wait to see how they come out.

Gibson Bennett: I visited Stonehaven with nothing but a vague idea for a ring and a price, and Ron was able to bring to life a beautiful ring. He suggested different gems and explained what the pros and cons were for each, and was able to explain to me what different price points would get me. He let us come in and see the mold to check the fit, and was able to change the metal used when our budget changed, and reduced the price when the market price of the metal went down. When we stopped in to pick up the final product a few weeks later and it was a little big, he corrected it right there - and on a Saturday no less! Ron is an extremely helpful and talented jeweler, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a personal jewelry experience.

So when my husband wanted to surprise me for our twentieth wedding anniversary, he went back to Ron with his idea. Ron took the concept and ran with it, delivered a beautiful pendant with earrings to match right on schedule, and I couldn't be happier with the result. Lyn Ogle: I have had several pieces of jewelry designed and created by Ron & receive complements on all of them. My particular favorite is a ring Ron created using my late husband's wedding band and my engagement diamond. I was uncertain as to exactly what I wanted but knew I wanted to keep the integrity of the band with the engraving inside the band. He added his signature creative flair and I loved what I saw. I was even more impressed when it came to life. Greg Lewis: I needed a repair done on a ring, a simple job. Their rate for the repair was reasonable, and turn around on the job was great, the jeweler was able to do the repair as I waited. After the repair the card machine wouldn't read my debit card and I had no cash, he handed me the ring and said "Just bring by cash when you can, don't make a special trip." Great service, you can trust a business that trusts its customers. I will certainly recommend Stonehaven to anybody.
