Holiday Inn & Suites Raleigh-Cary (I-40 @Walnut St), an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
Toi Degree: It was okay... my only issue is that during my stay the water service was interrupted at the end of a long day when all I wanted was a hot shower. I was told I'd receive a 1/2 price rate for that night, which l did not. Also a very interesting smell throughout the hotel. And, the breakfast is $13.95 a day.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Garry McCormick: Absolutely had the best customer service experience after having to change rooms soon after arriving. Brandon was wonderful and outgoing at initial check-in. After arriving at our first room we noticed the carpet was soaked by the AC unit (suspect plugged water drain). I went back down to the desk, he apologized and we were able to quickly change rooms. He was pleasant and cheerful throughout the entire process. We had breakfast the next morning and it was $13/person. The breakfast bar area was exceptionally clean. The food was appealing and had good taste for their offerings.
Catherine Mallory: We checked in on a Monday. My husband had Navy duty and I tagged along. The room and location was fine. It was what happened 2 days later that made me give less stars for overall and service. At around 2:30pm we had gone back upstairs to discover that there was no water. We came back downstairs to ask. We were told it should be back in an hour. So we left and 5 hours later we returned, went back up to our room, and still no water. Back down we went to ask and were told that "the part could not be found". Again we asked how long and were told they didn't know.We returned to our room and talked about it, not sure what to do. He called the Navy and I went outside to see if I saw any plumbing trucks, and nothing was there.I met 4 other people, who were all checking out. I went back upstairs to join my husband and we decided to call other hotels to find a roomWe checked out at 8:30, and we were charged for part of the day because we checked out late. We should have moved earlier but we were told it would be back on in an hour, twice! We checked into another hotel, down the street, and they have water! They did give us a letter we asked for stating there was no water, so that the Navy may pay for our 2nd hotel, so I gave 2 stars. But seriously, the health hazards of not being able to flush toilets and disregarding that fact were not acceptable to us.
Erik Jirgens: Had a slight issue with my bill, but the manager corrected it immediately. Breakfast buffet is awesome, book the breakfast rate for a great deal!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Gerard Falcone: Great place! Awesome customer service from the front desk. Binal and Anesha were very accommodating and treated us as if we were family.Friendly environment throughout our stay. We will definitely book this hotel in the future.looking forward to seeing Binal and Anesha! Thank you for going the extra mile to help us out. See you soon!Gerard Falcone.Rooms: Rooms were clean and neat.
Cherrill Stockmann: Clean comfortable rooms. Reasonable price. RecommendRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Rosie G: The breakfast needs to be included in the price of the hotel as the buffet for $13+tax is the same breakfast type offered by other hotels, nothing fancy.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
David C. Allen: Biggest problem was reserved a handicapped wheelchair accessible with a wheelchair accessible shower. Was put in room that did not meet those requirements. They eventually moved me into the right room. This is second time this has happened at this hotel. 1st time was over Easter weekend. The staff was excellent. Especially the staff that did the breakfast service.
Adam Hill: Not impressed at all!! Stood in line almost an hour last night no one at the desk.. Doors won’t shut. They’re charging 14 for breakfast for hotel food! Will definitely stay somewhere else next time!!!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More

Chris: Charging 14 dollars for a breakfast buffet that consists of the same food any other hotel gives you for free is ridiculous.
Rachel: We experienced the good service and clean, modern rooms we expect from Holiday InnRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Benjamin Justice: Lack of well cooked food on $20.00 breakfast bar left eggs, only that I ate, that may have had me throwing up in my room! Embarrassing…I have no medical proof. But I left the hotel after one night! Staff was friendly, helpful enough ! I gave them a 4 star, may be too high.! Changed to 3*** over all because I had dinner that I left on the plate!
William Smalls: Rooms are clean and service is good. Very close to PNC Arena.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More

Scott Diciuccio: Now, they would have gotten 5 stars, but $14 per person for breakfast was ridiculous. The rooms were clean and comfortable.Rooms: Clean and the mattress and pillows were comfortable.

Tatyana Galaxy PhD: We stayed there 3 night for Conference. Location is very good. Service was really disappointing. Breakfast menu was horrible. Plastic Bacon, full of MSG sausage links, etc. Some people in Cafeteria were very rude. Guests in Corridors were very loud at 3 a.m. Coffeemakers - literally a joking matter, just like toys and besides the cups that were provided did not match the size of the water therefore all coffee poured over the counter. We called several time Customer service and automated service said that we have to go downstairs to get a new cups. We went downstairs and waited, waited and waited. Anyway... I understand that maybe this place is very short handed but right now this place has nothing to do with hospitality at all.
Joy J: Very clean rooms and very comfortable. Felt like home away from home. Front desk was very nice. Would recommend!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Anne S: Located in Cary, NC. Less than a mile from the exit on Route 40.Unfriendly staff the entire weekend (we stayed 4 days). The staff ignored us when entering or exiting whether busy with other guests, or not. I tripped outside and scraped my finger, when I asked for a bandage, both of the desk employees rolled their eyes. Reluctant desk clerk went to the back office and did bring me a bandage.Safety: We were shooed away from the entrance while unloading our luggage. There was no bellman and my husband took our luggage to the room. He was gone less than 7 minutes. That's when a person from security told us we'd be towed!Incidentally, there was a van parked in front of the entrance for hours. I asked about it without being pushy... the response? We're looking for the owner.
Adira Adiva: Room 523 is hot!! Slept miserably. The last guest left their shoes and other items so it doesn't look like the room was cleaned. Usually a nice stay, not so great today.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly …More

Lamanda B.: My experience with this hotel was bad from the moment I checked in until I checked out. I only booked this location because through their online pictures of the room, there was a glass shower. When I checked into my room I noticed there was a small tub with a curtain. Not to mention the tub was dirty, peeling and didn't drain. I called downstairs and was told the website had false advertising. They only had a glass shower in their Presidential suite. This completely took me by surprise. I wouldn't have checked in if I knew this information. I was moved to another room and told they would bring me a new shower curtain as a solution. The tub in this room was also dirty with gunk in the corners that looked like it had never been cleaned. I also never received that shower curtain after switching rooms. I happen to be in the lobby the next day chatting with the manager because I submitted a request for my room to be cleaned that day but housekeeping to never come. I submitted this request through their phone service the day prior. The manager stated they have glass showers on the 8th floor and he wasn't sure why his staff told me this information that was untrue. Now I'm annoyed because the bathroom was dirty upon arrival, my room hasn't been cleaned and their staff move with no sense of urgency. I was told my room would be cleaned the following day (on day 3 of me in this room). Guess what? Housekeeping never came. So that's 3 days in this hotel and my room is still dirty from day 1. Luckily I checked out the following day, but I can guarantee I will NEVER return to this location.
Doris wallace: Parking services only very please with service.
Carl Wright: I had a last minute situation and called the Hotel. They checked to see if I was a HHilton honors member and the treatment commenced.I received this type of treatment in the start of my Hotel usage. And I stayed with them. Easy sign up as a member .Ane the perks are worth evey dime!Rooms: Spacious suites and clean and comfy.coffee available and a variety at that.I slept like a baby.Nearby activities: You have arcades and great common villages with a varitey of stores for your needs. Jim “Jim B” Berry: The rooms were more tired that I was. Nothing special at all. The tub was old. Hot water and shower head were good. The bed was small and the pillows were not good.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Andrew Nystrom: Perfect basecamp for our team at the inaugural TST 7v7 ⚽️ tournament at nearby WakeMed complex. Staff is helpful and breakfast is made to order and plentiful.

Tee Tee: Linen was dirty, it appeared to be makeup when I pulled the sheets all the way back. I asked linen to be change, waited an hour no one showed up. I went back downstairs and the man said someone would be up to change the linen. 3 women came in changed the sheets and the duvet cover and left the same pillowcases on the pillow. I will never stay here again. I didn’t take a picture of the sheets because that problem was corrected before I could. The pillowcases were never changed after I waited all that time.
Landry Argabright: Great service, amazing complimentary breakfast but found a Reese’s peanut butter cup wrapper on the floor in the room.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great value …More

Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Cary I-40: what do users think?
Greg L: Title: An Oasis of Comfort and Exceptional ServiceRating: ★★★★★If there were more than five stars to give, I'd gladly do so. I've just returned from an unforgettable vacation, which had a rocky start at a nearby hotel, Holiday Inn Express, where a faulty air-conditioning system nearly soured my entire trip. Fortunately, the incredible staff at Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn turned things around in a way that was nothing short of miraculous.Upon our distressed arrival at Homewood Suites, Danee, the Assistant General Manager, welcomed us with a warmth and professionalism that was instantly comforting. She listened empathetically to our ordeal, demonstrating an extraordinary level of hospitality that instantly assuaged our frustrations. Danee swiftly coordinated a room for us - a cool and quiet sanctuary that was a stark contrast from our previous nightmare experience. At the front desk, Sherry was an absolute gem. Her friendly demeanor and efficiency in handling our check-in were impressive. Despite our last-minute arrival, she made sure our accommodation was perfect and even followed up to confirm we were comfortable. It's clear that Sherry genuinely cares for the guests, turning an ordinary stay into an unforgettable experience. Our visit to the Hilton Garden Inn was equally delightful, all thanks to Liz. Her professionalism and dedication to guest satisfaction are unparalleled. She went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, offering local dining suggestions and ensuring our stay was comfortable in every possible way.To Danee, Sherry, and Liz - you are true ambassadors of hospitality and a testament to what the Hilton brand represents. Your exceptional service didn't just save our vacation - it transformed it into an experience we'll fondly remember and share with others. You've won loyal customers in us, and we look forward to our return. To anyone considering a stay in the area, look no further than Homewood Suites by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. Their outstanding staff and the comfort they provide are unrivaled. They've set the bar high for hospitality, proving that even in unexpected circumstances, a dedicated team can turn things around. A full five stars is a modest rating for such an exceptional experience.

The room is spacious and equipped with almost everything you expect in an apartment style kitchen. The housekeeping can be a little inconsistent. Besides that, everything else was great. I’ll definitely consider returning for my future stays in Cary.

Best Western Plus Cary Inn - Nc State: what do users think?
DT Frady: EDIT TO ADD:I mentioned the desk clerk was going to offer a partial refund for this stay but that I did not receive it. What I DID receive was several declined attempts by someone trying to use my card number to make online purchases. The card company was able to tell me WHERE the attempts were made and they were AT THIS HOTEL! At the card company's urging, I cancelled that card and they issued a new card. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!We are in the area a few times a year on business and this has been our "go to" hotel in the past. Our last stay here was at the end of April (and I MEAN our LAST stay). At check in the desk clerk was rude (I found out later she was actually the manager). The key cards did not work and she acted like I was simply too stupid to work them. Second try one STILL did not work and the other took a lot of trying before it did. The room smelled musty and there were only 3 flat, useless pillows on the king sized bed. The desk lamp (with the charging ports) had a short in it and sparks shot out of it when I turned it on. Thankfully we were only there for one night. The clerk at checkout was much more pleasant and, when I told him about the lamp, offered a discount on the room (which I never received). Best Western has always been my preferred place to stay on trips....not anymore.
Farhan Sadique: Had to spend couple if night for a conference, and I liked the room. Not bad considering the price, and they offer complimentary breakfast which is always great. Smooth stay, good parking, no issues.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Micheal Dixon: Had to stay for personal reasoning, and then had to extend for an extra day and when I went to the front desk Keysha at the front desk and Joakima (General Manager) were nothing but exceptional and made me feel better even with the situation I was going through! People are who makes exceptional environments!!!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Bigmindcreator TS: It's there for you but seriously outdated. I've stayed at this location many times and not much changes as the years go by. Today though my opinion of this place was completely changed as it was the first time I'd had to stay in the extended stay building next to the main building. The entrance had a strong odor of cigarettes or marijuana. The doors don't even close correctly and even if they did, they aren't locked anyway. The main building is old but the extended stay building is old and behind the times. It feels like a weird mix of 1980s and 2020s in one room. Certainly not the good bits. The vents in my room had dust and it's starting to look like things are falling apart. The air conditioning unit itself looked decrepit and was very loud so I opted to not use it due to allergy and noise concerns. Certainly not worth the $124 I had to spend on it for a night. It tells you a lot when the windows in your room are still able to be opened. They are doing renovations to rooms in this part of the hotel but they choose to conduct the work at night so in the long run with time, money, and unhappy customers, is it really worth it?It would be high time to just demolish and rebuild this location.Rooms: Old and outdated.Safety: Doors are not locked and I can hear smoke detectors chirping (low battery)Noteworthy details: Allergy Risk
Harold Manasco: Great breakfast !!Great place to stay.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Diane Williams: Check-in went very smoothly. Front Desk Rep was very helpful and informative. The room was very clean and comfortable.Great location, convenient to everything. Will absolutely stay here again!!Update: I stayed here again this weekend and it was great! Clean and well kept. The staff (from front desk to breakfast to housekeeping to maintenance) were all great.I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in the area.
Steve Daughton: Awful hotel complete with roaches, filthy bathrooms, used washcloth dropped on my head from shower rod while taking shower first night, no maid service, no towels available from front desk-only pool towels I was told, one tiny garbage can for a five day stay, no lights in parking lot, completely dark, no visible security, back door propped open by brick, never locked, stairways blocked by people openly smoking weed, and overcharged to top it all off-very difficult to get adjustment even after two calls to management.
Derrion Henderson: Pros: Great locationCons: Horrible Customer Service. After calling the hotel a day prior to confirm reservation and potential early check-in, the manger on duty canceled my reservation before literal minutes before check-in and charged me an additional $200 to rebook the same room. Not only is this horrible business practice, it's also in violation of the fine print stated while booking the reservation.Don't book here. I normally opt for Springhill Suites next door (same owners), but they didn't have any available rooms. Do yourself a favor and opt for the same or just go somewhere else.
Michael Taylor: Came in from out of town.Rooms: So so. Guys was loud on business calls next door for hours..Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 3/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
LaMontspoom454!: Management meet expectations for the price, however. They need potatoes chips in their food market😋Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More

Aries Iscariot: I’ve been here for a while and it’s been a great experience. The staff is wonderful, they are always very helpful and kind, any time I have an issue they address it quick and efficiently. I’ve always felt safe and secure, no problems with feeling uncomfortable to be able to talk to someone. Pretty much good ppl all around. The location is super convenient and the rates are fair, cleanliness is fine. From someone who’s stay has been extensive, I wouldn’t choose another extended stay. 💚-Emily

Jeremiah Leonard: The absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE AMERICA! The is extremely disrespectful and sarcastic. Particularly a female named Charlee. I had an issue with the room I was staying in; the smoke detector was beeping due to bad batteries. I asked Charlee if there was a way someone could fix it or just simply take out the old batteries. Her response "Who do you think is going to do that at this time!?" I replied, "How about you since you work here?" Then she retorted, "I was just going to switch your room since that would be easier." Her response to my, a paying customer's, issues was to be sarcastic and insult my intelligence. I don't appreciate that! I will never stay at this again until "Charlee" is fired. AND, I WANT A REFUND!
Vishrut Sundararajan: Great place to stay!
Arghya Chatterjee: Positive:1. Decent price.2. Very close to RDU and RTP.3. Friendly staff.Negative:Roaches in room!!!
Dmitri Khorokhorin: I was charge twice for the same stay, and did not got my money back. After contact customer service many times. I still did not got my money back for second charge. I was told on many occasions, someone will contact me in 48 hours to resolve the issue but not ones I got the response. I will not recommend this hotel. If you don't want deal with same issue find the different hotel chain. Thank you.
Jason Bailey: This hotel has gone down hill. They kick out more people then they rent to. I was asked to leave after a manager claimed I smoked in the room. I don't smoke anymore but I left and they would not admit that fact to Priceline so I didn't get a refund.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Richard Pajooh: Before I even arrived I had issues with the customer service I called a day prior to check my reservation. The front desk person could not find it, I asked to speak with a manager and she said “that’s what the manager said.” I asked again to speak with a manager and she hung up on me. I called back no one picked up. I called corporate and corporate had to call them to confirm my reservation. I was moving from another area and reserved the room weeks prior. Even the corporate person questioned the service here.I arrive and have been in the room for about four days. The place has major issues. One the cabinets, stove, appliances, and basically everything were covered in dust nothing was cleaned. Interior of cabinets are warped the vent over the stove is rusted the stove has a sticker saying “for ventilation purposes remember to open your window while cooking” well I can’t do that being the window is broken you can’t open it without it falling off the track. The p traps under the kitchen sink is completely corroded and is leaking. All the doors, trim, and furniture look like they were in a tornado and severely scratched and damaged. The microwave plate or glass you put your food on isn’t even for this microwave so it doesn’t spin, half the buttons don’t work, all the cabinets are damaged and inside are warped, bubbled and had dead bugs.I had to clean the place just to make it some what sanitary.Based off previous reviewed management keeps saying they will fix things well you haven’t done anything. This place is a major code violation and I work in construction, I will contact the city inspector cause whoever owns this place clearly does not care at all.The only thing I can say is the floors look somewhat new.I took photos and video because there are so many damages here I don’t know where to begin and don’t want to be dinged for their poor maintenance and lack of cleaniness. Also if you are on the bottom floor and the top floor has kids you can hear everything. The carpets outside is the main walkway are pancaked with dog hair and dirt. This is a disgrace. Do not stay here in town suites or any other place is better. For 400 to 500 a week you are not getting your monies worth.I have nothing positive to say about this place.Do not stay here if you value your health safety and expect some measure of cleanliness.I’d like to speak to corporate about this cause as someone who works in construction and real estate and customer service this place really needs to be shut down.Do not come here. For a few dollars more or even the same price anywhere else is better.
L1zunn: Just like this comment and be nice
Gary Turner: Worst bed I've ever slept on. You could tell it was old because all night we gravitated toward the middle of the bed.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 2/5 …More
Ronnetta Mclawhorn: Need improve remodel in rooms, cleaning windows, stair, replace carpet in hallway it's nice a room need new decorate walls etcRooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Erin Seto: The staff was friendly, but that was the only good thing I could say about the location. I booked through Expedia and I really should have done more research before picking this location. The building is seriously dated. I mean, it does NOT even have an elevator. The stairwells are located inside doorways that are hard to find. You can't even get to any of the rooms through the lobby without going up a flight of stairs. This is not handicap friendly. And definitely not luggage friendly. I ended up leaving a bunch of stuff in my car.We also had to park our car where we could see it. The place had bad vibes. Saturday morning, I went out to get some things from my car and there was an entire case of empty beer bottles by the trashcan at the front door. It smelt like someone had a drunken party in the parking lot.The day we checked in, our bathroom light was so dim it was hard to see. The photo doesn't do it justice, but every time I needed to use the bathroom or shower I had to use my phone's flashlight to see. The maintenance guy said there was no bulbs to fix it and "ordered" a replacement. That was a disappointment all weekend. We got a suite to try and save money by eating at the hotel instead of dining out. But there was no pots/pans, plates, or utensils. And the stove was so dated I was afraid I might blow myself up turning it on. Even the microwave smelt weird. The bed at least had a mattress cover on it so there was no bed bugs that I could see, but it was not a restful weekend. The hallways smelt like weed. And there wasn't much help from management after the trip besides a half-hearted "sorry".DO NOT BOOK HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE $100/DAY.
Queyonna Thompson: The prices of the rooms are RIDICULOUS for the hotel to be RAGGEDY . They have roaches , everything in here is ALWAYS breaking … they only give you one roll of toilet tissue wth
