Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare - Cary Breast Center: what do users think?
Suzela M.: Very efficient and the mammo tech was awesome! So friendly. Everything was great!
Kaitlyn Burkholder: Everyone I interacted with was very kind and hospitable.
MFM: Always quick and caring.
melissa hall: Where is the office manager here? Have had several mammograms here as well as the main hospital. I prefer this center because it is close to home and has no hassle parking. Usually I'm quite happy here. I'm at very high risk for cancer due to genetics, and usually need multiple pics and ultrasounds and well as have had several biopsies/and lumpectomies. I recently had my (frequently done) mammogram here and have a suspicious mass requiring further testing. I've called for 9 days in a row and been on hold anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes to make this appointment. I'm talking about calling once a day, I mean on hold 5 to 10 times PER day. My call was answered ONE time and I was told she couldn't help me and had to transfer me, on hold again for 17 minutes before I gave up. I have left my name and number on their voicemail several times, no return calls. In the mean time I continue to receive voice mails and text messages telling me I haven't made my "very important" appointment!!! Are you kidding??!! Who is running this place? Where is the office staff and manager? What a joke. I'll definitely be looking to make my follow up at another UNC facility at this point. This place needs to get their stuff together.
Susan Mason: I had a great experience here!! I had a biopsy done the nurses Jacqueline and Carmen were so sweet, kind, and caring. They made me feel so relaxed and made me feel like a member of their family. They explained everything to me in terms that I could understand before and during the process. Dr. Wellman went above and beyond to make sure she covered all of the basis to make sure she did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. She did more than I expected but explained everything so that I could understand what she was doing. I highly recommend these nurses and this doctor if you need anything like this done. These ladies definitely have the bedside manner you want in a situation like this.
Xiajun Liu: Doctor Jennifer is great!(I am sorry I am not quite sure whether I spell her name exactly the same, cause I am not a native speaker.) I was referred to do the ultrasound examination, and Jennifer is so nice, helpful, patient and professional! She knows I am very nervous, so she shows great empathy and does her best to help me to do the exam. I will give her 10 stars if possible!
Cynthia McCoy: Professionalism personified! The staff and specialist treated me with dignity and kindness. If there is a problem, than I want to know.
Nayla Mesned: My experience was great everyone was very helpful and friendly from staff to specialists and I got my results immediately that was big relief !
Jennifer Collins: I agree with previous comment, I have been going here for mammograms for over 15yrs. For the past 3 exams at least they have called me back for multiple rounds of x-rays and even an ultrasound the time before last. All negative. This last time tried to get me to do 3D up front, I said no but when they called me back, didn't offer 3D. If its supposed to be better why not do 3D instead of 2-3 rounds of more x-ray pics. I refused to do more and left. They called several times leaving threating messages that I must come back or the doctor would not be able to complete the diagnosis. They would be forced to send me a registered letter. Well they sent me a letter and then filed claim to insurance with coding that left it as Experimental procedure. Insurance would not pay, cost me $255 out of pocket. When I mentioned frustration with callbacks without naming facility to some friends, one friend had same experience at the same facility and had been going elsewhere for a couple of years with NO callbacks. The staff in general is friendly but refuse callbacks and they get nasty. Multiple voice messages all had a threatening message with irritated tone that I had not called them back. Your healthcare treatments are not your decision to make at this facility.
Mandy Torto: All my dealings (mammogram and child birth) at Wake Med Cary have been nothing but phenonmenal!
Christine Guan: Do not go to this center, they will intend to get you back for more unnecessary exams and ultra sound.

Wake Radiology UNC REX Healthcare - Panther Creek: what do users think?
Suzela M.: My CT scan order was screwed up. I was supposed to get a chest CT with contrast, but apparently, the staff contacted my doctor's office and told them it was the wrong order. Then, when I went for my scan, the staff told me I wasn't eligible for a lung scan. What? Then, they debated if they even do lung scans. They kept asking me how much I smoked 40 years ago. They tried to blame it on my doctor's office, but my doctor's office said it was Wake Rad that screwed it up. They finally got it straightened out after a 1.5 hour wait. Also, I'm also not happy with the lack of detail from the radiologist report, and my Internal Medicine friend agreed. It failed to mention several important items (size and shape of nodes, bulla, etc.). I contacted Wake Rad a few weeks ago to see if I could get more details from the radiologist, but haven't heard back. My doctor had originally tried to send me to Cardinal Points Imaging Center but I specifically requested Wake Rad instead. My mistake. I won't make that mistake again. My experience at the Ashville Avenue location was the opposite; the staff and mammo tech were awesome! Also, on top of everything else, instead of sending my chest CT scan results to the pulmonologist, they sent my mammogram results... The pulmonologist hasn't received the CT results, which was done a week or so before the mammo.....Well, I sent them a follow up email three weeks old and I've heard nothing from Wake Radiology. Not surprised. I'd like to at least get a more detailed CT scan description.
Vinay K: We had a walk-in for my son.. the wait was not too bad..The technician was really nice and made sure my 4 year old son was comfortable. She took X-ray of the abdomen & chest in the afternoon & the results were sent to the doc office by evening..The only thing I did not like it for parent to see the results on myChart I needed to create a separate account.. it would be good if underage children’s results are added to parents account..One less account to maintain 😃…
Angie Moore: I had a monogram on March 1 and still have not received a report...now at March 16.. I used to always get notified right away when going to the Chapel Hill office...and included getting a letter of the report. I am now sitting on hold with medical records for 15 mins and listening to a recording. I will not be going back to that facility next year. I am hoping my mammogram is ok when I can finally get a report....not good customer service to be sitting here and worrying ...
Carrie Moehrke: I utilize the UNC system because of MyChart. Wake Radiology is owned by UNC Hospitals but has yet to convert to MyChart. I don’t want to set up another user ID and password for their legacy system and have to fill out a myriad of questionnaires when my complete medical history is in MyChart. The Panther Creek facility is a mile from my home, but I will drive to Chapel Hill for an ultrasound. Hoping they catch up to 2022 soon!
J J: Please note that this location has a MOBILE MRI MACHINE IN A TRAILER and not one in the building. My doctor had suggested that I NOT use a mobile machine and have one that was permanently installed inside the facilities (for various reasons). When I called to schedule my MRI and we were discussing locations, Panther Creek was discussed and I SPECIFICALLY asked as my very first question if they had a permanent machine or was it a mobile machine. The woman confirmed it was not a mobile machine and it was inside the build and permanently installed. So it was quite an UNPLEASANT SUPRISE, when I got all dressed up in the gown and the techs walked me OUT TO A TRAILER and said they only have a mobile MRI available at Panther Creek. During the MRI process I had an issue from the beginning were part of the bench you lay on was jabbing in the abdomen / diaphragm and was making it very hard to breathe. After trying a few things, they said there was nothing else they could do. I stayed in the machine as long as I could, but had to bail out of the MRI before it was done since I literally could not breathe (not claustrophobia issue, not a panic attack, but I literally could not move so that I could get enough air in my lungs due to the pressure on my diaphragm). So beware that any question you specifically ask while scheduling, you may not get the actual truth and they may misrepresentthe services available at this facility.
Liz Wo: All they want is your money. They will ask you to do the unnecessary testing and check then send you all the bills. I went to Wake Radiology for breast mammogram, after the mammogram the doctor was not able to draw a conclusion so she consulted another doctor, they came checked on me together again and confirmed it was not an issue. Then they billed me for the extra service from the second doctor too which I did not ask for. I am quite healthy and I think it is not fair for me to be charged for the 2nd doctor, if the first doctor was knowledgeable enough then they would not have to bring the 2nd doctor. Horrible experience, will never use them again.
John Christensen: Very professional and friendly.
mary hicks: When I made appt. I was told the office was off Cary parkway,. Could not find when they called to verify appt they said panther Creek area. I called the office I was told to stay on hwy 55 (? Where). Very confused. I am 71 and don't know this area. Cancelling!

Duke Imaging Cary Parkway: what do users think?
Sally Wilging: BUYER BEWARE - some staff were nice, but this is by far the worst Duke imaging facility ever.... I had an MRI (head) last July and they made me take all of my clothes off and put on a hospital gown and walk outside in the rain to access their mobile unit. On top of that, although I have been a patient at Duke Health since 2012, after the MRI, I came to find out that this specific location is out of network for my health insurance (despite all other Duke facilities I've been to being in-network), so now Duke wants me to pay more than $1000 for this MRI. I will NEVER go to this facility again.
Lisa Riggs: Spent hours on the phone trying to get appointment., then financial office called and wanted me to pay over $14,000.00 for MRI that my insurance company a ny said was supposed to be less than $2000.00.Would not recommend.
RKR Vangala: Good experience with the visit, Very minimal wait time.Front desk is very good.
Jack Barron: have been to Duke Imaging in Cary several times for MRI imaging. Front desk gal is very nice (can't) remember her name but always pleasant and the MRI tech is great. One more person I need to shout out to is the gal that takes your history and then walks you out to the MRI machine. So sorry (again) but forgot her name too:(. Anyway everyone is great and they are always on time. Very professional. If you need a MRI - Go Here!
Mary Goodbar: The location is easy to find, and the staff is wonderfully kind and considerate.
Matt Pittman: Shop around. I was recently quoted for a CT scan here and was expected to pay $2500 for it after they planned to bill my insurance for $18,000(!). Raleigh Radiology was less than a fifth of that price. Don't pay extra just for the Duke brand.
CurbsideUnderwood: I had an MRI here, and the personnel working here are very professional, courteous, and simply wonderful. They made the whole process easy to understand and go through. Now while no one really likes to get an MRI, this was certainly one of the more professionally run MRIs I have ever gotten. Perhaps the least stressful MRI I have ever gotten. Excellent staff here, simply wonderful people.
