Kevin Jones: My wife and I heard about Mogastone from a friend after they had a great experience while redoing their kitchen. To be honest, I've driven by their shop on Chapel Hill rd countless times but had never considered using them. But, after a ridiculous bid and limited selections from Home Depot, we visited Mogastone. We couldn't be more thrilled with the company's investment in their clients and their satisfaction. The moment we walked into the store, we were greeted warmly and were shown the countless offerings of Marble, Quartz and Granite slabs they had on site. While we picked the perfect granite, they didn't have enough for our kitchen counters. Rather than push that selection off to the side, they worked with us to find more slabs from a local wholesaler. Once our slabs were selected, we were involved in the layout to get the exact design we wanted -- even tweaking the design an hour before cutting the slabs! Finally, installation was flawless. Despite anticipated challenges around the size of the kitchen sink and our cabinets, the installation crew made some clean cuts to our cabinetry that were hidden and allowed everything to work. While the install took 5.5 hours on a Friday afternoon/evening, it wasn't because the crew was slow, rather the opposite. They worked tirelessly from the moment they arrived until the swept up the dust and polished the counters. If possible, I would give a much higher rating than the 5 stars Google offers. Give them a try, I'm confident you won't be disappointed!

It all looks brand new now. They quoted me a fair price for all the cleaning that was needed. They were able to get me scheduled quickly and finished the job in less time than they had anticipated. Kimberly Scheitler: I recently moved into my new construction home and had various marble areas as well as grout sealing that needed to be done. I contacted Marblelife and Lawrence (the owner) was very responsive initially, and scheduled an estimate quickly. This was the 3rd estimate and the most expensive (almost double the cost) but I decided to go with this company regardless of price because I thought they would do the best job. Lawrence seemed professional at the time.There were 2 technicians assigned to my home, 1 was much more professional than the other. The project took 2 days, since I have a larger home. At the end of day 1, they decided to store their equipment in one of my closets, on my new carpet without asking first. They asked my husband after they had already stored everything if it was okay. It really wasn't, but we didn't want them to have to move everything. They could have at least used a tarp to line the carpet first. The equipment scuffed up my walls, but they used the paint I provided to touchup the walls after. Not really a big deal. But no one would want dirty equipment stored on their brand new carpet.After they completed my home, I noticed a very large white area on my walkway (see pics). I contacted Lawrence, who then sent one of the techs out to scrub it. I was told by the tech that sealant was spilled and it may take until next spring for it to be completely removed. The stain is still there today. They did admit to spilling the sealant, and the 1 tech was apologetic. Maybe if it would have been cleaned up immediately vs sitting for a few days, it wouldn't have been a problem.There is also a small dent in my soaking tub from them standing in it and dropping their tools and equipment. Lawrence has still not followed up at all. No apology, not a word. The tech left after trying to remove the spilled sealant and we haven't heard from anyone since. I would have expected Lawrence to at least check in about the walkway. My husband and I have tried contacting him on numerous occasions through email and phone to have our walkway restored to its original condition and to fix our tub. We have not heard from Lawrence and we hired them back in December. It's really disappointing to have trusted this company, only for them to damage my new home and ghost us afterwards.Service:Marble polishing

The marble floors looked new upon completion. These floors had been neglected since installation 13 years prior. We are still working on shower door, painting, etc. Our experience with David was very good, especially in a striking comparison with another contractor with whom we were planning to work originally. The first guy (with whom we didn’t end up working) was introduced to us by our realtor, we met with him before we got the house and he promised he will start working on the project soon after we get the house. He ended up making excuses for 2 months (!!!) delaying the start date until we just gave up and found David. On the contrary David was all business, so sad we didn’t find him earlier!
Linda Poling: David’s crew removed our old worn whirlpool tub and vinyl flooring and built a curb less tiled walk-in shower with seat. Plus tile floor in the whole bathroom. They started at 8 and worked all day! On time, affordable, neat, cleaned up daily and at the end of the project. David’s a good communicator.
