WakeMed Women's Pavilion & Birthplace: what do users think?
Gulgena Istyakova: I absolutely loved our experience in that hospital. I delivered my second baby boy here last week. Everybody have been so professional and caring. All our NURSES (Megan, Katie, Jenale, Michelle, Melissa) WERE SIMPLY THE BEST!!! There is not enough words for me to express my appreciation! Thank you for your kindness, dedication and healing touch. I am proud to have an amazing personal physician like you in my life!
Anna W: The nurses here are SO sweet. Especially the postpartum nurses. I’m really glad i chose to have my baby here.
Victoria Hallock: I would never ever recommend WakeMed ob/gyn to my worst enemy. I had to transfer because my previous practice closed in mid third trimester. My first visit the nurse said this blood pressure machine doesn't work sometimes. And it had a high reading.... Which I seriously question if that was accurate. The midwife instead of retesting sent me to the ER without any other symptoms. The nurse never wore gloves when drawing blood (I myself am a medical professional and the amount of OSHA violations and basic medical practice in WakeMed OB is lacking)When I got the the ER nurse did not wear gloves during a blood draw and just wipes up spilled blood with a tissue and did not properly sanitize the area.I had only ONE other high BP because I was scared. They immediately labeled me as hypertensive with ZERO other symptoms. And scheduled an induction.I asked to not to have an induction since there was zero evidence based reason for it other than "policy"My induction date came. The only doctor/midwife who didn't believe I was hypertensive was Dr. Bishop, she was amazing. I didn't even have a single high blood pressure in labor. They induced me and the NP and midwives were very aggressive in their cervical checks and had zero compassion on the pain. The nurse used freaking SANDPAPER, "to roughen my skin" so the wireless baby monitor would stay stuck to my skin. It was soooo painful. My Picton, I asked it was slowly dose, the nurse later told me that that it was 2mg every 15 minutes. That is not a slow dose. Once again, I was told that's policy. Baby went into distress 3x and I needed an emergency c-section. I thankfully had an amazing surgeon and anesthesiologist. But that was the only good thing about my labor. Wake med should be ashamed of themselves. They bullied me into an induction without any reason other than policy. I will never ever recommend this hospital or practice. I had a very traumatic birth and no one gave a s***. I was never checked on during contractions when they were back to back for hours. The nurses and midwives were incredibly indifferent and jadedOn my postpartum visit they refused to see me because I had my newborn since I had no one to watch baby. I went to UNC for my postpartum visit and 100% recommend UNC any day
Caralee Mitchell: The most beautiful birthing rooms I have ever seen.
Shannon Hess: First baby. Most of the staff were super helpful and lovely to share this experience with. One nurse particularly was not. Diane. She was the first nurse I saw in recovery. I was transported to recovery at 130 am to be immediately shushed by her when trying to explain that my husband is deaf and reads lips (making masks difficult for him to communicate). She offered me NO congratulations or assistance in postpartum care. She put together three pads to help me with bleeding, checked vitals, and gave a couple my fundal rubs. No maternity pad or ice pack. No words of advice. No offer of something to drink. Not even a smile. She made me feel like a burden. A truly miserable woman. Hopefully you don’t get the same experience with her.My next nurse was Millie. She was amazing! Loving, caring, and helpful with everything. I couldn’t ask for better care.Even the labor team was caring and helpful— all of them! Very understanding and supportive during labor pains and provided the right amount of encouragement during pushing.
Vyshnavi N: Couple of days ago i delivered my first baby at wake med we went to the hospital for induction and the nurses were so good especially Ann Marie who helped me out throughout my labour was a goddess angel she is very patient noticed my pain and helped asap with her my labour went quick and smooth, cant say enough of her she is just amazing. Thankyou sooooo much wake med for hiring good people.
Farah P: Delivered my 3rd baby here( not by choice, I had an emergency and had to go to the closest hospital). And it was the worst experience of my life. The doctor I got was not compassionate and was even rude. Some of the nurses did not want to help and stood around while I screamed and labored alone. It wasn’t until I screamed and cried and said please help me that they came and helped me through the delivery process. Some of the nurses were very nice and kind. I also kept the baby’s gender a surprise and when my husband walked through the door, they just yelled out the gender to him instead so letting me tell him or for him to see himself and get his reaction on camera. For a birthing center they have no common sense either. Please go to a bigger hospital and don’t ruin your birthing experience. It’s been a year since I gave birth and I didn’t want to leave a bad review but I just can’t let go of the experience I had here and had to share.
Samantha K: Seems like a nice place, would just be helpful if the person at the front desk knew how to help register people for tours.
Betzaida Shoe: Had a great experience with my scheduled c section. Went in super nervous but was quickly made feel better by nurse Meagan L and Dr. Xu. The nurse went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable before and after. Our nurses after delivery were great too specially Brianna, she helped us a lot as new parents.
Edward Campbell: My wife and I had a wonderful experience here as we welcomed our daughter to the world. Every person we interacted with was professional and we felt very well taken care of during our stay. The nurses especially were top notch.
Shah Turjo Alam: Wonderful Hospital and Wonder service at the Emergency for Pregnancy difficulties.
Copper and Lily: Hospitalist mansplained to my wife in triage that her water didn't break and said she must've peed herself and tried to send us home. He was wrong. You couldn't write a better script of a man explaining to a woman (who is also a Healthcare worker) what her body was doing.
ram reddy: As it is our first baby, we were not sure that milk will be available from day 1, and we were not presented with any other options (formula/donors milk), they let baby get dehydrated, and lose 10% of weight in days. Nurses does not even want to give an additional hand with a crying baby. This is the worst place for your baby to get delivered.
_cecirubi: They refused to give me formula when I requested, then surprise my newborn had a fever and suffering from dehydration because I couldn’t breastfeed that’s why I requested formula . Should’ve sued for negligence honestly. Instead of being stuck with the bill. Idiots.
Terri Tucker: My birthing was great and postpartum care was fine. What made me give this score is the fact that instead of doing what they could to prevent my newborn son from getting Jaundice (ask me if I wanted supplemental milk due to mine not coming in the moment his Bilirubin levels started to increase), is they let him get it, then told us at the last minute before we were to be discharged. They discharged me but are keeping my baby and I'm so irritated I could scream at everyone! Now I have to leave without him.. my heart is in pieces right now
Bryna Havenook: We absolutely loved our experience! All of our nurses were so sweet and helpful. As a first time mama I was pretty clueless, but not one nurse made me feel like I had a stupid question. They were very responsive and our needs were met very quickly. If there is a baby number 2 we will definitely be delivering at wakemed womens pavilion & birth center!
Casper Cat: The most wonderful place to give birth. Huge birthing rooms and huge post partum rooms. The nurses and doctors are all so wonderful. They are also very well equipped to respond in an emergency situation. I had to have an emergency c-section because my babies heart beat disappeared and they were able to get him out safely and my scar is barely visible.
vasavi macherla: Wonderful experience. Everyone are so friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend wakemed cary.
Kayla: My experience was difficult to say the least. I had a baby 5 months ago at the beginning of all the covid restrictions. My mom couldn’t be there and I had a very difficult delivery. But my NURSES were everything and more. They did not leave my side. The encouraged me to keep going when my spirit was sinking, they comforted me when my body had had enough and it was time for a c section. They laughed with me and they cried with me. My delivery nurse stayed well past her shift to make sure both my son and I were safe and healthy. These women were amazing. I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without them. The deserve some major recognition.
Jennie: The nurses here are the best....so kind and knowledgeable and helpful. We had a lot of birth preferences and they were open to hearing and disussing all of them. The birthing suites are lovely and well equipped with big birthing tubs, birthing balls, lovely walk in showers...a bit like a luxury hotel room. The postpartum rooms are spacious and the nurses and techs are all eager to help and advise. IBCLC’s do rounds and are available for appointments if you are breastfeeding and need a little help and guidance. The food is actually good for hospital food and there is a large menu selection. I felt completely well cared for and looked after during both my births at WakeMed Cary. The Women’s Pavilion is a calm, quiet, welcoming place. I wouldn’t have my babies in any other hospital!
Katherine Sentes: We had a wonderful experience, the nurses made us so comfortable both during labor and after. They took their time to explain what they were doing, answer questions, and make sure we were comfortable and they never seemed rushed in their care. The anesthesiologist was great as well and the labor/delivery rooms were very comfortable for both me and my husband. I wouldn't normally leave a review for a hospital but this place was seriously amazing!

UNC Maternal-Fetal Medicine at REX: what do users think?
Danielle Grantham: This place is amazing. They took careOf me the whole step of the way. For those saying they were not allowed to bring Children in there are lying because I saw plenty of women bring their child in there. Really all the doctors were amazing, but I would have to really credit Dr. Dude she went above and beyond. Sometime you can’t go by reviews you kind of have to see for yourself because everyone experience is different.
Danielle Rudd: This place is great! Today (6/7/2023) was the second time I went for an ultrasound to check on my son. Place looks nice and clean. Both times that I've came here, I was in/ out in no time!
Tesha Covington: I was nervous about going here BUT I forgot the receptionist name but she was super sweet BUT I’m giving 5 stars because of Dr Cynthia Hines!! She’s was absolutely amazing!! She took good care of me and my daughter!!! The nurses were also nice as well, I think I had one issue with a nurse once and that was resolved and she changed her attitude immediately! My favorite ultrasound tech was the man… I forgot his name but anytime I had one I’d hope it was him!!! He was hilarious!!! Loved him!!!
Sarah Davis: Steve McGlade was our tech and he was amazing! He is so thorough and has excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend him and this practice
Rachel McDowell: HIGHLY recommend Dr Dude. She has truly been one of the best Drs I have worked with. She has been so kind and helpful through this difficult season of pregnancy. I can't imagine working with another Dr by my side.
Lizz McGay: I’ve been trying to make an appointment for a week. They have my referral, they keep telling me I will get a call to schedule, and then no one calls. I call and again they say someone will call. I was told on Friday a nurse was processing my referral and they would call me later. They didn’t call me. I call on Monday and now it hasn’t been looked at by the nurse apparently and someone will call me. Like I just want to schedule my appointment. I don’t understand why it’s this hard and this stressful just to schedule an appointment.
Jessica Lyon: these stars are for steve, hes great
Megan C: Seeing all the negative reviews here, I thought I would tell about my experience today. My husband and I went in for an anatomy ultrasound and the whole experience was great. The women at the front desk were very nice, along with the doctor we spoke with after the ultrasound. The ultrasound tech, I think his name was steve? He was wonderful, explained what we were looking at on the screen throughout the whole appointment, kept a smile on our faces and answered our questions. I would go to this facility again.
Ariadna Pastor: I had a horrible experience here. I was recommended by my OBGYN to get my 20 week anatomy ultrasound. Once I got there, the receptionist was super rude and informed me that my husband could not come in because we had our baby with us. He asked for the day off from his job months in advance in order to come see this ultrasound. The baby was not doing anything, she was being carried and she did not make a sound. The receptionist proceeded to let me know not only they could not come in, also they could not wait in their waiting room either. So my baby and my husband had to go wait in the car until I came out of the appointment. I was so upset that he did not get to share this experience with me and the lack of care by the employees who were behind the desk was unbelievable. I was crying, so upset and they did not care at all and continued to talk about some personal matters loudly in front of me. The ultrasound tech herself was very nice, but at this point I was already so upset and completely ruined this experience for me. Then the doctor came in for literally one second and said everything is okay and left. Just disappointed. My previous OBGYN was Kamm McKenzie and I am definitively switching back to them after this rude encounter.
Jasmin Harris: Starting out I was very nervous about this appointment. When I first walked in the receptionist was nice and professional. Then the ultrasound tech definitely calmed my nerves and coming alone this really worked. She was also nice and professional. I believe my doctor name was Strauss. He was also also nice along with his nurses, who ensured me I would be taken care of. I do see a lot of negative comments but my visit was recent 2/8/22. I didn’t experience any rudeness from no one. I really appreciate the service I was given because I was alone and this was my first time coming to a high risk clinic.
Phillip Overpeck: If I could give this place a 0 I would. The sonographers are extremely rude and toxic. They treat people like garbage. If you have an option to go elsewhere definitely don’t go here
Sabrina Sipp: So far have had a great experience here at this office for my prenatal care. This is my second pregnancy and 3rd obgyn office I’ve been to during pregnancy. Definitely the best care I’ve received. I’ve also been to the Vilcom location and loved the doctor I saw there too.
Kaylin Alexandria: I was referred to this office for an Anatomy scan and I definitely won’t be returning, considering I have to have a 2nd scan done. Firstly, I wasnt pulled back until 9:15 and my appointment was at 9. I got here at 8:45. Once I do get back, I’m informed my 1 hour slot has been pushed into a 30 minute slot due to whatever reason. No call or notice AT ALL. And considering I wasn’t called back until 9:15 my scan only lasted 14 minutes, since the tech ended right at 9:29? And now I’m expected to come back? I dont think so lol.
Rosalie Jansen: Terrible receptionist. Rude and very unhelpful.
Leah Soares: I went to UNC MFM almost weekly for my modi twins. The receptionists greeted me by name and were always so helpful scheduling all my appointments, the techs were all great and I cannot say enough great things about Cindy Hanes NP and Dr. Goodnight - they always made me feel so comfortable, answered all my questions and am so thankful I was able to carry my twins to term with their help.
Debora Turaga: I just came here once for an anatomy scan US but I was so impressed by how kind and sweet the front desk staff were. Also, the US tech (her name was Mercy) was great and made my husband and I feel comfortable and well cared for. I don’t usually write reviews about healthcare facilities but this one deserves one.
Jenna Hoke: We had our 19 week anatomy scan today by a tech (I believe Steven?) and he had to have been one of the most kind, empathetic people we’ve gotten to work with since the pregnancy began. I can’t thank him enough for providing such an amazing experience for us while explaining to us every aspect of the anatomy scan, what we were seeing, what everything meant while keeping the experience such a pleasant and memorable one. Check in was easy, simple and we waited in the hallway because of COVID and the receptionist waved us in when ready and took us right back.I understand that mainly disgruntled people who’ve had challenges with insurance / billing are going to share reviews but as someone who wants the absolute best care for their pregnancy I would highly recommend this location at Rex.
Hilary Cheeseman: Bedside manner here is definitely lacking. Additionally, there were some significant errors in my report. The report stated result measurements in millimeters when they were actually in centimeters. This is completely unacceptable. In my own line of work, which is not the medical field, if I reported data to a customer in the wrong SI units I could be fired. Shouldn't patient care be held to a similar standard? When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was told the error was discovered by a physician and my results were amended in my report. So, UNC discovered and error in my medical report but did not plan to notify me of the change unless I ask about it first? I switched to Wake Med, I highly recommend them.
Queen Kellz: It's a very nice facility and ALL staff are so polite and happy. Dr. Elizabeth Coviello, DO is an amazing woman and I feel like I can talk to her about anything. She's so understanding and attentive. I love UNC Maternal-Fetal Meds.
Michele Kerns: My visit here with Cindy Hanes NP went amazing. She sits down and gets to know you as a patient and background. I would highly recommend.
Ally L: My OB/GYN recommended certain ultrasound with UNC Maternity Fetal Medicine, so scheduling was not a problem. I called to find out how much the procedure is before the appointment. I also called my insurance to verify the cost. I was told by both it would be around $300 (my insurance quoted even cheaper) and UNC said there could be multiple charges but I did not hear back as to find out the full amount since their quote was close to insurance estimate. Well after the appointment, I got a sticker shock. The bill was over $2,200 before insurance discount for essentially an unltrasound. I was appalled.  I called to verify that no extra procedures were performed, so I would not be overcharged for something that wasn't ordered. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was completely deceived about how much the procedure would cost and it was charges stocked on top of each other. The $282 I was quoted is burried in $900+ charge. Why was I not told that? I am extremely dissapointed with UNC. They did not lower the charges or do anything but admit they don't know their own billing codes. Regrettably, I would be giving birth at this facility because of my OB's partnership. I'm entering into 3rd trimester now, so it wont be long. Its too late for me to switch to Wake Med but hope others will be warned that a State owned hospital system can stick it to you worse than Duke.

Rex Holly Springs Hospital: what do users think?
S Wells: Went to the ER with pain in my backside after having been to urgent care twice. I was checked in and back in the ER immediately. They gave me a look over and sent me for a CT scan. They assumed I had an infection and sure enough I did. I was in the OR within 2 hours and in a room after that. The staff was great. Helpful and empathetic. I did have one problem and that was getting pain meds from the morning nurse. They appeared to keep getting distracted. I did get something in my IV right before the unpacking since there was no time to wait the hour on oral tablets. Whatever it was it was weak. While the pain wasn't unbearable at that moment it was excruciating when the PA unpacked the wound. The surgeon did say the night before that the unpacking would be awful, so maybe the IV pain drugs did work, but the pain was just too much.
Clifton Kelley: Nursing staff and radiology dept fantastic. That's about it, Dr. Denton in the ER was by far the worst doctor I've ever seen. He was condescending, rude, called me a liar on top of it. I would rather go to the VA than go to this er ever again. Dr. Denton should not be practicing medicine 😒
SOUMIA El HASSANI: Bad experience ever , i had my child there they were rushing me to leave the hospital, when i discharged i couldn’t walk she never offered me a well chair she didn’t care she wasn’t nice at all ,
Virginia Carroll: The staff in the emergency department treated me so well, and the surgical staff that took care of me after my stay in the emergency department was equally wonderful. All the staff from registration to the nurses to transport to physicians, literally everyone showed so much empathy and did their job seamlessly.
David Griffith: Radiology group is top shelf. Much more friendly than their counterparts in Raleigh. I highly recommend them
Adam Mattis: A big shoutout to Molly on 4 and Tracy in radiology for making my experience a breeze. You and your colleagues balanced empathy, professionalism, and good humor of my anxiety like pros. Thank you.
Tommy Johnson: I had to get stitches on my thighs the doctor did a horrible job a black nurse saw it and got angry and made them do it over I'm glad he was there.
Whitney Evans: I didn’t want to give them the one. Very horrible service.
S Apex: ER not great. Dr. spent less than 2 min with my mom for intestinal pain and scans. Several staff were abrupt, and just not helpful. Didn’t ask the patient many questions. Called in the wrong pharm. location, didn’t bother to ask for details. Very short review of discharge instructions.
Mike E: This hospital is a disaster.I've had 3 experiences here, none of them good.Had vertigo and though my ears were not stopped up, they decided to "see if flushing them would help". Absolutely made it worse and damaged my ear canal. Thanks Rex!My son had a severe asthma attack. EMS gave him albuterol en route to the hospital. Doctor says it's a panic attack and wouldn't prescribe a new enhaler, even though both he and EMS used alburerol to treat him. On top of all this, the first person to meet us in the ER isn't a medical professional, but billing.. Priorities I suppose. My wife's grandmother was sick and after treatment we were told it would be 16 to 24 hours before they could arrange transportation back to her nursing home and she would have to wait in the ER or waiting room. We transported her ourselves. If you're curious as to what medical care is like in under developed countries (and Ive experienced them) Rex Holly Springs is pretty close.
L: This location needs better, more experienced, compassionate staff! Immediately walking into triage the male nurse was asking me questions about my complaints. His questions and my answers were not going in the same direction because he wasn’t really trying to listen carefully and I had to repeat and clarify myself several times. I was asked to change into a gown, handed gown..he stood there….I asked if he wanted me to change “right now”? Yes he said …I changed in the triage while he stood with his back turned. So…that was a bit awkward. After a few mins a woman came in to collect insurance and asked me to make a payment toward my visit that it was going to be over $1000 for the visit. I was shocked. I asked if I needed to go to big Rex…I didn’t feel comfortable. I was kept in triage way too long for a long time. Finally, I was located to another reclining chair across the room. There is no privacy except two curtains on each side. There are no beds, private rooms etc. I had to ask for a bag for my clothes. The staff did not make eye contact especially Jon that did not show a care in the world or ANY concern. He actually makes you feel worse about being there with the question/answer process. The CT nurse asked if the IV was hurting when she flushed the line..I said yes. She then said “Use your words, explain” I stayed again, that yes the line hurts and is burning…it became stressful. She started another IV after 2 attempts. I was told by her to tell the nurse to take that IV out and use the IV she placed. The same nurse did not take out IV, he seemed offended of said issue. He persisted on using the IV he placed. He administered in that IV and ignored the new IV. I was not attached to anymore fluids. I didn’t need 2 IV’s. At this point, the experience was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in a hospital setting. I was feeling absolutely horrible and a headache. The doctor recommended doing a brain scan due to complaint of headache. I declined because this was just far to much. It’s most likely dehydration due to my symptoms and issues. I got to a point, after 3 hours I wanted to be discharged. Nurse walked over to give more fluids and I declined and said I would like to be discharged. He said “okay no problem, let me get that” he walked away. Another nurse came over took my blood pressure with the pulse oximeter, and IV in the same arm. Needless to say he blew my vein out! I could not believe all this was happening. I asked for a supervisor. Spoke with her. Spoke with the Doctor, (he was about the only vital organ) running the ER and he’s very overwhelmed. I spoke with Cristina, she is lead administrator over the emergency department/hospital. She was very cold, very attacking questions and defensive. They all make you feel horrible for even being there. I’ve never wanted to run out of a hospital in my life. I’ve had lots of procedures/surgeries and visits to ER. I was charged for so many unnecessary things and I’m sure if I stayed it wouod have continued. If I ever have an emergency and I need immediate care, I will take the risk of my life and by pass that hospital and go to big Rex or Wake med! Never again! It’s a shame! It’s absolutely a nightmare there. I feel completely robbed of money and the care there is bad practice in my opinion. Beware!
Kimberly Coombs: They are currently killing my grandmother. They have starved her for 5 days by heavily sedating her so they don’t have to deal with her telling them she wants to leave and not permitting a feeding tube or any other nutritional assistance, they have denied her the ability to discharge herself from the hospital, they have gone against our wishes and given her medicines that cause serious side effects against our wishes. Denied her her prescription pain medications and have now taken away her rights to her own decisions and body.I wouldn’t trust my worst enemy to be treated in this facility.Go to kimberlyjewells on TikTok and watch her story and what they’ve done to her. May God have mercy on their souls.
Shawn Downs: If you come to the emergency room with a loved one you get to stay in the waiting room by yourself hoping that your loved one is not getting worse or something else!
Cheryl Campbell: I had a horrible experience in the ER. Very pushy. When I was trying to let them know my concerns the nurse was rushing me talking over me asking me questions. She tried to take my BP on top of my hoodie and when u said I would remove my arm she seemed agitated. The Dr dismissed my concerns of a severe headache for days now. I have and ear infection. He claimed I hadn't given my meds time to work I have two days left. I told him I was worried about swelling of the brain or infection since it was my ear n its not hurting just my head. He kept acting if I was being dramatic and was dismissive. Keptvsaying how can I help you and would you like my supervisor. I just left. I wouldn't recommend this facility.
Courtney Lanier: The worst! First of all I had a car wreck on Wednesday Dec 21st. I hit a deer I was also sick, I went into the emergency room limping in pain because my knee is swollen and hurting I am also sick but it was manageable I was there mainly for my knee because it is unusual. I get there they take me back to the triage watching me struggle to hold the door the nurses stood there and did nothing! So I lay back there thinking these ppl are going to do an x- ray they end up doing a urine test to determine if I was pregnant mind you, I am confused on how they think I am pregnant😭(I am not a big girl). Also they do a covid and flu test so all test come back negative the doctor come in and says we need to figure out where the fever is coming from, 30 minutes later the nurse is moving me to a discharge room I sit their another 30 for the doctor come back to say I can go home😳! At this point I am ready to go home I had been there since 1 it is now 430 and I am ready to go. Long story short I go to the ER tonight (Sunday) got x-rayed and find out I have fluid around my knee!
Paige Pavlik: Worse hospital ever . Daughter admitted to emergency room. Was in triage as no rooms were open.Spent long time there.None of the reclining chairs were working.Daughter was very uncomfortable.I spent an hour with her.Nurse Jon came in to give her ivIn triage room as no beds are availableShe was already admitted to er.He said I needed to leave cause she is 18 and looked to be of soundl mind. if there was a bed open I could be in there.Daughter just turned 17 is scared and in pain.I was rubbing her back.I went to front desk and asked why I can't go back there .They asked nurse John and he said no and stated company policy.Man behind desk became upset and threatened police to come because I asked to go back with my daughter.Customer service friendly?NoWill we come back here again? No.Everyone was nice until nurse John walked in the room. Would like to understand the n w policy that is taped on the door was here a month ago and husband was allowed in with me.What changed?
Autumn Smith: Emergency Department outstanding service and professional care
J Willy: I've had to go through the hospital more times this past year than Ive been my whole adult life and this was my first visit to unc rex yesterday and I'ma go ahead and let everyone know I think I've found the winner staff wasted no time very professional quick service very polite got the job done with ease great work guys you set a standard in my book
Vic King: Spoke to my old church member about her most recent admission here at this facility. She was admitted due to blood clot issues which was apart of her original admission for gallbladder surgery to provide context. When getting readmitted the gross negligence she encountered was unspeakable. No one rounded on her every 2 hours, she wasn’t offered a bath. She felt alone and like an inconvenience to the staff. It was disheartening to listen to quite honestly. I’m so disappointed that a healthcare environment operated as such. In all fairness maybe it’s an individual employee issue. However, to be admitted for several days on end and these are repeated daily which is what she encountered negates that possibility. Her daughter works did the state capital and she plans to file a complaint which is more than within their right. My only ask to you executive leadership members….please conduct discharge phone calls to ensure quality control!
Suranga S: Worst Emergency service
Alanna Howard Garrison: I've had 2 experiences with this hospital in the last 2 months. My mother was a patient in the emergency room and then spent a week in their care and I delivered a baby in the labor and delivery area in October. Both stays were consistently as good as we could ask for. The staff were attentive and caring, the food is very good for a hospital, and policies, parking etc., are reasonable and convenient. When my mom's condition declined due to her cancer fight and it was clear hospice was needed the case manager ensured they showed up end-of-day on Friday to help us transition into that process. Life doesn't stop at the end of the week and neither did the care mom received. My L&D and postpartum nurses took great care of myself, my baby and my husband and we were confident when going home. Would return here in the future for either need.

Triangle Physicians for Women: what do users think?
Angela Giovinazzo: I’ve been in to see Dr. Cooper a couple times now and she is great. Super friendly, listens to you, and very knowledgeable. It’s hard to feel comfortable talking to doctors sometimes but Dr. Cooper makes it a safe space. The rest of the staff is also very friendly, from front desk to lab techs, everyone is lovely. It’s a pretty long wait to get in as a new patient, but worth the wait in my opinion and once you are in scheduling other appointments is quick. The portal is also great you can send your doctor a message and vice versa, they can add notes to your labs, etc. i sent a message and i got a call back within an hour to set up an appointment. Very happy to finally have found a clinic i am comfortable at!!
Julianne Dixon: Updated review - they have renovated their office so some of the complaints I had in the earlier post are no longer relevant. I also have come to really appreciate how good their communication is especially in comparison with some other offices and have felt in much better hands here than elsewhere. Their doctors and midwives have a lot of compassion when you are going through a difficult or uncertain situation. Would recommend.—I switched to this practice late in my pregnancy after my last ob/gyn practice suddenly stopped delivering at WakeMed Cary. This is one of the few practices in the area with a robust midwifery staff, so I chose it based on recommendations and the stellar reviews online. I will say that the midwives that worked with me were great for my labor and delivery, and I could recommend them wholeheartedly for that specifically. I also had a good experience with an acute problem, for which I was able to get a same-day appointment and the doctor was extremely caring and helpful. However, I often felt like 'just a number' at my prenatal appointments, and also felt that they did not empathize with my requests about my care and perhaps even judged me/looked down on me for making them. This location also feels old and some of the carpets have stains, the windowsills were dusty, and the bathrooms felt a bit grimy. Overall, I received adequate care but not the dream experience that many of the reviewers rave about. (2021)
Cary Home: I didn't even get a chance to see a doctor or specialist here. I had the run around from my PCP and insurance company and received help from Susan Komen Foundation to make an appointment. The SK rep had spoken to Triangle Physicans for Women and confirmed that not only were they in my network, but they had the type of specialist I needed to see. When I called to make an appointment myself, I was transferred to another staff who told me they did not have the type of specialist I need to see. I explained I was confused and I didn't understand. I have fibromyalgia (we get brain fog so it's hard to concentrate and stress makes it worse) and I have not lived in the US for 20 years, so I don't understand the healthcare jargon in this country - everything is ridiculously convoluted here for real. She told me to see a different type of specialist and I don't understand why Susan Komen had told me differently, she got angry with me suddenly when I explained I was having trouble understanding and abruptly said 'I'm hanging up. Bye!' I started crying. You need to have more kindness if you are dealing with patients. I don't want to go here after that experience, even if they do have specialists I can see. There's no need to get so aggressive with me... I wasn't aggressive at all and her response was really not professional or even humane.
Mirabela Ursut: Absolutely no! Went in 2 years in a row for my anual cosult, very impersonal all the staff and doctors. Last year I tried to reschedule my appointment, I could not get anyone on the line, I left a message no call back. Now I’m trying to get ahold of them again. After multiple attempts someone finally answers, I explained that I have some concerns and I would like to know if I could be seen, she sais a triaje nurse will call me… that did not happen, I tried to call again no answer. How can I trust such a provider?
H.W. Jones: If you’re looking for incompetence, congrats; you’ve struck gold. From the providers and midwives, to the billing and administrative staff, this place specializes in utter disrespect, inaccurate diagnoses and remedies, and nefarious billing. This office and its brain-dead staff are truly the gold standard of medical malpractice.
Maiar Martin: My experience was not great at all! From the wait time for my ultrasound and the comments made by the midwife. Continuously bringing up gestational diabetes even after 2 healthy pregnancy and never having it before. My weight was a discussion and automatically deemed me of being high risk. They did lab work and claimed that my liver function levels were elevated. They automatically assumed I had liver disease due to my weight and referred me to Cary Gastro specialist. Before even getting my results back from the specialist…they called me to let me know they are letting me go as a patient and referring me to a high risk doctor. This was 15 minutes after I messaged them that morning about my concerns/next steps if I do have issue with the liver. I asked them what could happen if I have liver disease, how does it affect the pregnancy/baby and what will they do to ensure I’m safe. They let me go without any warning that they could possibly do so after making my first payment. They basically said they weren’t equipped to deal with high risk pregnancies. Well, I got my results back this week from the specialist and my liver is okay. None of my liver functions were elevated. It’s funny to me how they let me go a week after making my first payment to them. Also asked me to keep my last appointment, which I cancelled because they are money hungry. Now I’ve wasted time and my money not only on them but on all of these scans/labs…I had to do for my liver. I could have saved all this money for my upcoming delivery/pregnancy with my new doctors. Great job stressing a pregnant women out for weeks, assuming I have liver disease with no guaranteed results to prove so, and then just letting me go/transferring me to a high risk doctor. I will never return to your office for even a routine check up or recommend you to any friend of mine.
Susan Paone: I have seen Dr Pearce and Dr Cooper. I appreciate that both doctors spent a good deal of time explaining things to me and answering all of my questions. They were informative and showed interest in trying to get to the root of my problems.
Kristen Cox: TP4W was an amazing experience for me with my first pregnancy. The doctors and midwives have amazing bedside manners and made sure my health was top priority. I ended up having pregnancy complications that were able to find early enough before it hurt me or my baby. Every single provider and midwife I met with truly listened to me. I also loved that the practice offers Centering with a midwife. This helped me so much as I went through my first pregnancy.
Hosanna Inteti: I almost want to have another baby just so I can have the experience of being cared for by the midwives here again. Wonderful people.
Bridget Denzel: Triangle Physcians and specifically Dr. Cooper have been great! As a new patient I've really enjoyed my interactions with Dr. Cooper. She is extremely friendly, patient, informative and answers all my questions thoroughly
Kirsten Moore: Quick and efficient.
Meena Mohan: They are all so efficient and helpful. They make sure that the patients are comfortable and cared for. I love my Doctor Lisa Grana
Aga Jochim: Very happy with this practice!
Francesca Camacho: So far I have a had a great experience with all the midwives I have met! They all seem very knowledgeable about their work and willing to listen to all concerns you may have. They are very friendly and take the time to get to know; which means a lot to me :)
Kathy Nesbit: Very friendly staff! No long waiting for an appointment.
Becky Paaso: Horrible experience. I am new to the area and was hoping to establish myself with a new physician and heard great things about this office. I went for my first visit and saw Dr. Rogers. He was condescending and gave me absolutely no helpful feedback. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I wanted to discuss my medications and whether I should switch and discuss what their impact could be on pregnancy. He kept saying “the textbooks say this” “you shouldn’t take anything now that you wouldn’t take while pregnant”every single question he refused to give me an educated compassionate response and inferred I shouldn’t be taking anything. I requested some labs just to check things out and today I come to find out that he didn’t actually order all of them. The nurse I spoke with today over the phone was compassionate and told me that she has heard this about Dr. Rogers from others as well. Why is he working there? Mental health and pregnancy is hard enough without a man trying to talk down to you for figuring out how to take care of yourself and future child. I shared my feedback with the office directly with their feedback form but never heard back. If you have mental health concerns or are looking for a physician who listens to you and has empathy, compassion and actually gives helpful feedback I would strongly advise against this clinic. Dr. Rogers needs some training in patient care and maternal mental health although he’s so arrogant I’m sure he things he knows everything. His knowledge on mental health medication is outdated.Edit to my review. I was contacted by an administrator after she read my review. No apologies just asked if I had any questions. Over and over I was told how respected Dr. Rogers is and how long he’s practiced. I was then asked to remove my review. It took me a long time to become open about my mental health struggles and be able to stand up for myself. The fact that someone tried to undermine my experience is unacceptable and confirms my stance on making this review.
Nina Freeborn: Kind and caring staff. Dr. Cooper showed compassion and understanding, she is knowledgeable and kind. A great experience.
Debbie Anderson: Office runs VERY efficiently. Brought back quickly and doctor came to the room quickly. Dr. Pearce, answered all my questions and was patient and excellent in explaining things. Highly recommend this practice.
Donna McPartland: Dr. Grana is kind, listens and above all wants what is best for her patients.
Felicia Sullivan: I've been going to Dr. Rogers for at least 15 years. He is very patient, kind, considerate, and thorough. He has vast knowledge concerning "female" issues. Dr. Rogers listens and has a genuine concern about his patients' health and wellness. His nurse Jennifer is so warm, approachable, and inviting! If an uncomfortable procedure has to be done, they both ease your stress and make it quick as possible. I highly recommend Dr Rogers!!!!
Sydney Crawford: TP4W has met and exceeded my expectations! They are very detailed and will take the time needed with you, all the way down to the billing office. I switched here after having a miscarriage that was extremely mishandled at Carolina Elite Womens Care in Garner. I switched to TP4W as soon as I found out I was pregnant again, and they saw me right at 6 weeks (which meant a lot to me), looked into all of my concerns, and have definitely help to put my mind at ease. Currently 23 weeks and all of my appointments have been very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We especially like Sarah, one of the midwifes. I highly recommend TP4W for anyone looking for top notch care.
