Triangle Physicians for Women: what do users think?
Angela Giovinazzo: I’ve been in to see Dr. Cooper a couple times now and she is great. Super friendly, listens to you, and very knowledgeable. It’s hard to feel comfortable talking to doctors sometimes but Dr. Cooper makes it a safe space. The rest of the staff is also very friendly, from front desk to lab techs, everyone is lovely. It’s a pretty long wait to get in as a new patient, but worth the wait in my opinion and once you are in scheduling other appointments is quick. The portal is also great you can send your doctor a message and vice versa, they can add notes to your labs, etc. i sent a message and i got a call back within an hour to set up an appointment. Very happy to finally have found a clinic i am comfortable at!!
Julianne Dixon: Updated review - they have renovated their office so some of the complaints I had in the earlier post are no longer relevant. I also have come to really appreciate how good their communication is especially in comparison with some other offices and have felt in much better hands here than elsewhere. Their doctors and midwives have a lot of compassion when you are going through a difficult or uncertain situation. Would recommend.—I switched to this practice late in my pregnancy after my last ob/gyn practice suddenly stopped delivering at WakeMed Cary. This is one of the few practices in the area with a robust midwifery staff, so I chose it based on recommendations and the stellar reviews online. I will say that the midwives that worked with me were great for my labor and delivery, and I could recommend them wholeheartedly for that specifically. I also had a good experience with an acute problem, for which I was able to get a same-day appointment and the doctor was extremely caring and helpful. However, I often felt like 'just a number' at my prenatal appointments, and also felt that they did not empathize with my requests about my care and perhaps even judged me/looked down on me for making them. This location also feels old and some of the carpets have stains, the windowsills were dusty, and the bathrooms felt a bit grimy. Overall, I received adequate care but not the dream experience that many of the reviewers rave about. (2021)
Cary Home: I didn't even get a chance to see a doctor or specialist here. I had the run around from my PCP and insurance company and received help from Susan Komen Foundation to make an appointment. The SK rep had spoken to Triangle Physicans for Women and confirmed that not only were they in my network, but they had the type of specialist I needed to see. When I called to make an appointment myself, I was transferred to another staff who told me they did not have the type of specialist I need to see. I explained I was confused and I didn't understand. I have fibromyalgia (we get brain fog so it's hard to concentrate and stress makes it worse) and I have not lived in the US for 20 years, so I don't understand the healthcare jargon in this country - everything is ridiculously convoluted here for real. She told me to see a different type of specialist and I don't understand why Susan Komen had told me differently, she got angry with me suddenly when I explained I was having trouble understanding and abruptly said 'I'm hanging up. Bye!' I started crying. You need to have more kindness if you are dealing with patients. I don't want to go here after that experience, even if they do have specialists I can see. There's no need to get so aggressive with me... I wasn't aggressive at all and her response was really not professional or even humane.
Mirabela Ursut: Absolutely no! Went in 2 years in a row for my anual cosult, very impersonal all the staff and doctors. Last year I tried to reschedule my appointment, I could not get anyone on the line, I left a message no call back. Now I’m trying to get ahold of them again. After multiple attempts someone finally answers, I explained that I have some concerns and I would like to know if I could be seen, she sais a triaje nurse will call me… that did not happen, I tried to call again no answer. How can I trust such a provider?
H.W. Jones: If you’re looking for incompetence, congrats; you’ve struck gold. From the providers and midwives, to the billing and administrative staff, this place specializes in utter disrespect, inaccurate diagnoses and remedies, and nefarious billing. This office and its brain-dead staff are truly the gold standard of medical malpractice.
Maiar Martin: My experience was not great at all! From the wait time for my ultrasound and the comments made by the midwife. Continuously bringing up gestational diabetes even after 2 healthy pregnancy and never having it before. My weight was a discussion and automatically deemed me of being high risk. They did lab work and claimed that my liver function levels were elevated. They automatically assumed I had liver disease due to my weight and referred me to Cary Gastro specialist. Before even getting my results back from the specialist…they called me to let me know they are letting me go as a patient and referring me to a high risk doctor. This was 15 minutes after I messaged them that morning about my concerns/next steps if I do have issue with the liver. I asked them what could happen if I have liver disease, how does it affect the pregnancy/baby and what will they do to ensure I’m safe. They let me go without any warning that they could possibly do so after making my first payment. They basically said they weren’t equipped to deal with high risk pregnancies. Well, I got my results back this week from the specialist and my liver is okay. None of my liver functions were elevated. It’s funny to me how they let me go a week after making my first payment to them. Also asked me to keep my last appointment, which I cancelled because they are money hungry. Now I’ve wasted time and my money not only on them but on all of these scans/labs…I had to do for my liver. I could have saved all this money for my upcoming delivery/pregnancy with my new doctors. Great job stressing a pregnant women out for weeks, assuming I have liver disease with no guaranteed results to prove so, and then just letting me go/transferring me to a high risk doctor. I will never return to your office for even a routine check up or recommend you to any friend of mine.
Susan Paone: I have seen Dr Pearce and Dr Cooper. I appreciate that both doctors spent a good deal of time explaining things to me and answering all of my questions. They were informative and showed interest in trying to get to the root of my problems.
Kristen Cox: TP4W was an amazing experience for me with my first pregnancy. The doctors and midwives have amazing bedside manners and made sure my health was top priority. I ended up having pregnancy complications that were able to find early enough before it hurt me or my baby. Every single provider and midwife I met with truly listened to me. I also loved that the practice offers Centering with a midwife. This helped me so much as I went through my first pregnancy.
Hosanna Inteti: I almost want to have another baby just so I can have the experience of being cared for by the midwives here again. Wonderful people.
Bridget Denzel: Triangle Physcians and specifically Dr. Cooper have been great! As a new patient I've really enjoyed my interactions with Dr. Cooper. She is extremely friendly, patient, informative and answers all my questions thoroughly
Kirsten Moore: Quick and efficient.
Meena Mohan: They are all so efficient and helpful. They make sure that the patients are comfortable and cared for. I love my Doctor Lisa Grana
Aga Jochim: Very happy with this practice!
Francesca Camacho: So far I have a had a great experience with all the midwives I have met! They all seem very knowledgeable about their work and willing to listen to all concerns you may have. They are very friendly and take the time to get to know; which means a lot to me :)
Kathy Nesbit: Very friendly staff! No long waiting for an appointment.
Becky Paaso: Horrible experience. I am new to the area and was hoping to establish myself with a new physician and heard great things about this office. I went for my first visit and saw Dr. Rogers. He was condescending and gave me absolutely no helpful feedback. I suffer from depression and anxiety and I wanted to discuss my medications and whether I should switch and discuss what their impact could be on pregnancy. He kept saying “the textbooks say this” “you shouldn’t take anything now that you wouldn’t take while pregnant”every single question he refused to give me an educated compassionate response and inferred I shouldn’t be taking anything. I requested some labs just to check things out and today I come to find out that he didn’t actually order all of them. The nurse I spoke with today over the phone was compassionate and told me that she has heard this about Dr. Rogers from others as well. Why is he working there? Mental health and pregnancy is hard enough without a man trying to talk down to you for figuring out how to take care of yourself and future child. I shared my feedback with the office directly with their feedback form but never heard back. If you have mental health concerns or are looking for a physician who listens to you and has empathy, compassion and actually gives helpful feedback I would strongly advise against this clinic. Dr. Rogers needs some training in patient care and maternal mental health although he’s so arrogant I’m sure he things he knows everything. His knowledge on mental health medication is outdated.Edit to my review. I was contacted by an administrator after she read my review. No apologies just asked if I had any questions. Over and over I was told how respected Dr. Rogers is and how long he’s practiced. I was then asked to remove my review. It took me a long time to become open about my mental health struggles and be able to stand up for myself. The fact that someone tried to undermine my experience is unacceptable and confirms my stance on making this review.
Nina Freeborn: Kind and caring staff. Dr. Cooper showed compassion and understanding, she is knowledgeable and kind. A great experience.
Debbie Anderson: Office runs VERY efficiently. Brought back quickly and doctor came to the room quickly. Dr. Pearce, answered all my questions and was patient and excellent in explaining things. Highly recommend this practice.
Donna McPartland: Dr. Grana is kind, listens and above all wants what is best for her patients.
Felicia Sullivan: I've been going to Dr. Rogers for at least 15 years. He is very patient, kind, considerate, and thorough. He has vast knowledge concerning "female" issues. Dr. Rogers listens and has a genuine concern about his patients' health and wellness. His nurse Jennifer is so warm, approachable, and inviting! If an uncomfortable procedure has to be done, they both ease your stress and make it quick as possible. I highly recommend Dr Rogers!!!!
Sydney Crawford: TP4W has met and exceeded my expectations! They are very detailed and will take the time needed with you, all the way down to the billing office. I switched here after having a miscarriage that was extremely mishandled at Carolina Elite Womens Care in Garner. I switched to TP4W as soon as I found out I was pregnant again, and they saw me right at 6 weeks (which meant a lot to me), looked into all of my concerns, and have definitely help to put my mind at ease. Currently 23 weeks and all of my appointments have been very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We especially like Sarah, one of the midwifes. I highly recommend TP4W for anyone looking for top notch care.

UNC OB/GYN at Panther Creek: what do users think?
Kila: GREAT provider very patient and informative.
alejadra bustillo: discrimination and bad practices.
K Chamberlain: Most of the staff are rude and belittling. Most of the midwives belittled my concerns and how I felt about how I was treated. I will NEVER use them again.
Jeffrey Chamberlain: Rude front desk and the midwife was dismissive of my wife’s concerns. Informed medical consent does not exist there. They tell her what to take with her pregnancy without letting her know what the possible side effects are unless she demands to know. Why take a drug first without knowing side effects Before taking? Is this not being informed?
Chavis in the City Real estate: After attending appointments at 2 local clinics in the area and not receiving proper care, I was told to go switch to unc. I have to say after just a few visits the care I receive is amazing. The staff is always so friendly and helpful! To have doctors and nurses who are attentive and caring really means a lot during this time! I would highly recommend to anyone that it pregnant looking for care!
Justin and Danielle Tingley: I have been seeing the midwives since 2018 and have liked every one of them. Adiah delivered my first baby in 2021 and was so comforting and supportive, especially post-delivery when I had an unexpected hemorrhage. She went with me to the OR and held my hand the whole time as I was terrified. I am pregnant with baby number 2 and am still receiving the same great care. I would recommend the midwives to anyone!
Daeton Pennington (Penny): Simply terrible my wife going on 32 weeks pregnant, scheduled at 11 we show up at 1030 for them to tell us the apt was at 10. No reminder no heads up her apt had been moved. But hey we might not be able to see you today but we can in 3 weeks…
Lena Harris: I had an appointment with Adiah Oyefesobi this week. Throughout the appointment she made unsolicited remarks on the cost of prior procedures and other future services, so much so that I felt like I was speaking with someone from an insurance company instead of a health care provider.Though there was some helpful information given, she approached the conversation with a critical tone, seemingly dissatisfied with the recommendations I had been following from my primary care doctor, as if I had been responsible for making my own referrals or ordering my own tests.Maybe she was having an off day, but following this appointment I will not be returning and had I known this would be the caliber of care I would receive I never would have gone in the first place. I expect more from the UNC Healthcare System.
Claire Daria: Rude front desk.
Meh M: Such a convenient location, wonderful clinic, staff, doctors, nurses! Nothing but great things to say about this office. Special thank you to front desk personnel Keisha for going above and beyond to make sure all care coordination is done accordingly. Dr. Malloy who managed my care throughout my pregnancy was incredible. My newborn and I are very happy and healthy.Highly recommend!
Amber Tedrick: I just wrapped up my 6 week postpartum appointment and have been happy with my entire pregnancy at this practice. I can only speak for the midwife practitioners but every midwife I met with was kind, patient, and really listened to me. There was only one midwife that I truly did not care for and I think that was just personality differences. The front staff was always courteous and quick to help. There was never a long wait at my appointments and it was always easy to get an appointment. I hate that other women didn’t have the same experience I had but I would recommend this practice!
Honestly Speaking: WARNING!!! UNCOMPASSIONATE, UNPROFESSIONAL, POOR COMMUNICATION. There is a reason the rating of this practice is so low!SHORT REVIEW:Some of the staff starting from the scheduling coordinators to the nurses and midwives simply JUST DON'T CARE. My health concerns were not always taken seriously. I felt like they just saw me as a number not a human being with feelings, therefore; there was lack of empathy or concern. There was a clear disconnect when it came to communication (within the staff) as far as medical procedures and treatment plans. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!LONG REVIEW:I had my first baby last year. I started coming to this practice at 7 months pregnant because I recently moved to area. I was impressed by the clean facility and short wait (at first). The nurse was friendly the midwife that I met first were okay. They rotate midwives so I had someone different almost every time. To be fair not all the staff, nurses or midwives were bad. The most consistent, compassionate and engaging midwives I've came into contact with were, Amanda O' Briant and Jenny Cox. They were both super friendly and took the time to listen. Adiah Oyefesobi was supportive, respectful of my birth plan and resourceful. They deserve 5 stars!Things took a dramatic turn during the delivery process and postpartum visits. I had a horrible birthing experience due to the lack of support, attentiveness and respect. Literally seconds after the birth of my child, nurses and midwives were talking amongst themselves about their personal-life drama as if my family wasn't in the room. I also had issues Postpartum that required in-person visits. The midwife I saw was not well educated in this field and on top of that, very rude. My medical questions were not answered thoroughly nor decently. I will not go back to this practice and will discourage any other woman that is expecting to do the same.
Kimberly Davis: Place was nice. No wait. Staff was nice, except the provider, Tolley. She was dismissive and insulting. She gave me information that was incorrect. I wouldn’t see her again if she was the last provider in NC. If you want a doctor or NP that cares about actually helping you and listening to your concerns, go elsewhere.
Kimberly Colucci: Had a great experience here with the PA, the lab/phlebotomy portion and the front desk staff. I HIGHLY recommend them. Very professional, courteous & knowledgeable.

WakeMed Women's Pavilion & Birthplace: what do users think?
Gulgena Istyakova: I absolutely loved our experience in that hospital. I delivered my second baby boy here last week. Everybody have been so professional and caring. All our NURSES (Megan, Katie, Jenale, Michelle, Melissa) WERE SIMPLY THE BEST!!! There is not enough words for me to express my appreciation! Thank you for your kindness, dedication and healing touch. I am proud to have an amazing personal physician like you in my life!
Anna W: The nurses here are SO sweet. Especially the postpartum nurses. I’m really glad i chose to have my baby here.
Victoria Hallock: I would never ever recommend WakeMed ob/gyn to my worst enemy. I had to transfer because my previous practice closed in mid third trimester. My first visit the nurse said this blood pressure machine doesn't work sometimes. And it had a high reading.... Which I seriously question if that was accurate. The midwife instead of retesting sent me to the ER without any other symptoms. The nurse never wore gloves when drawing blood (I myself am a medical professional and the amount of OSHA violations and basic medical practice in WakeMed OB is lacking)When I got the the ER nurse did not wear gloves during a blood draw and just wipes up spilled blood with a tissue and did not properly sanitize the area.I had only ONE other high BP because I was scared. They immediately labeled me as hypertensive with ZERO other symptoms. And scheduled an induction.I asked to not to have an induction since there was zero evidence based reason for it other than "policy"My induction date came. The only doctor/midwife who didn't believe I was hypertensive was Dr. Bishop, she was amazing. I didn't even have a single high blood pressure in labor. They induced me and the NP and midwives were very aggressive in their cervical checks and had zero compassion on the pain. The nurse used freaking SANDPAPER, "to roughen my skin" so the wireless baby monitor would stay stuck to my skin. It was soooo painful. My Picton, I asked it was slowly dose, the nurse later told me that that it was 2mg every 15 minutes. That is not a slow dose. Once again, I was told that's policy. Baby went into distress 3x and I needed an emergency c-section. I thankfully had an amazing surgeon and anesthesiologist. But that was the only good thing about my labor. Wake med should be ashamed of themselves. They bullied me into an induction without any reason other than policy. I will never ever recommend this hospital or practice. I had a very traumatic birth and no one gave a s***. I was never checked on during contractions when they were back to back for hours. The nurses and midwives were incredibly indifferent and jadedOn my postpartum visit they refused to see me because I had my newborn since I had no one to watch baby. I went to UNC for my postpartum visit and 100% recommend UNC any day
Caralee Mitchell: The most beautiful birthing rooms I have ever seen.
Shannon Hess: First baby. Most of the staff were super helpful and lovely to share this experience with. One nurse particularly was not. Diane. She was the first nurse I saw in recovery. I was transported to recovery at 130 am to be immediately shushed by her when trying to explain that my husband is deaf and reads lips (making masks difficult for him to communicate). She offered me NO congratulations or assistance in postpartum care. She put together three pads to help me with bleeding, checked vitals, and gave a couple my fundal rubs. No maternity pad or ice pack. No words of advice. No offer of something to drink. Not even a smile. She made me feel like a burden. A truly miserable woman. Hopefully you don’t get the same experience with her.My next nurse was Millie. She was amazing! Loving, caring, and helpful with everything. I couldn’t ask for better care.Even the labor team was caring and helpful— all of them! Very understanding and supportive during labor pains and provided the right amount of encouragement during pushing.
Vyshnavi N: Couple of days ago i delivered my first baby at wake med we went to the hospital for induction and the nurses were so good especially Ann Marie who helped me out throughout my labour was a goddess angel she is very patient noticed my pain and helped asap with her my labour went quick and smooth, cant say enough of her she is just amazing. Thankyou sooooo much wake med for hiring good people.
Farah P: Delivered my 3rd baby here( not by choice, I had an emergency and had to go to the closest hospital). And it was the worst experience of my life. The doctor I got was not compassionate and was even rude. Some of the nurses did not want to help and stood around while I screamed and labored alone. It wasn’t until I screamed and cried and said please help me that they came and helped me through the delivery process. Some of the nurses were very nice and kind. I also kept the baby’s gender a surprise and when my husband walked through the door, they just yelled out the gender to him instead so letting me tell him or for him to see himself and get his reaction on camera. For a birthing center they have no common sense either. Please go to a bigger hospital and don’t ruin your birthing experience. It’s been a year since I gave birth and I didn’t want to leave a bad review but I just can’t let go of the experience I had here and had to share.
Samantha K: Seems like a nice place, would just be helpful if the person at the front desk knew how to help register people for tours.
Betzaida Shoe: Had a great experience with my scheduled c section. Went in super nervous but was quickly made feel better by nurse Meagan L and Dr. Xu. The nurse went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable before and after. Our nurses after delivery were great too specially Brianna, she helped us a lot as new parents.
Edward Campbell: My wife and I had a wonderful experience here as we welcomed our daughter to the world. Every person we interacted with was professional and we felt very well taken care of during our stay. The nurses especially were top notch.
Shah Turjo Alam: Wonderful Hospital and Wonder service at the Emergency for Pregnancy difficulties.
Copper and Lily: Hospitalist mansplained to my wife in triage that her water didn't break and said she must've peed herself and tried to send us home. He was wrong. You couldn't write a better script of a man explaining to a woman (who is also a Healthcare worker) what her body was doing.
ram reddy: As it is our first baby, we were not sure that milk will be available from day 1, and we were not presented with any other options (formula/donors milk), they let baby get dehydrated, and lose 10% of weight in days. Nurses does not even want to give an additional hand with a crying baby. This is the worst place for your baby to get delivered.
_cecirubi: They refused to give me formula when I requested, then surprise my newborn had a fever and suffering from dehydration because I couldn’t breastfeed that’s why I requested formula . Should’ve sued for negligence honestly. Instead of being stuck with the bill. Idiots.
Terri Tucker: My birthing was great and postpartum care was fine. What made me give this score is the fact that instead of doing what they could to prevent my newborn son from getting Jaundice (ask me if I wanted supplemental milk due to mine not coming in the moment his Bilirubin levels started to increase), is they let him get it, then told us at the last minute before we were to be discharged. They discharged me but are keeping my baby and I'm so irritated I could scream at everyone! Now I have to leave without him.. my heart is in pieces right now
Bryna Havenook: We absolutely loved our experience! All of our nurses were so sweet and helpful. As a first time mama I was pretty clueless, but not one nurse made me feel like I had a stupid question. They were very responsive and our needs were met very quickly. If there is a baby number 2 we will definitely be delivering at wakemed womens pavilion & birth center!
Casper Cat: The most wonderful place to give birth. Huge birthing rooms and huge post partum rooms. The nurses and doctors are all so wonderful. They are also very well equipped to respond in an emergency situation. I had to have an emergency c-section because my babies heart beat disappeared and they were able to get him out safely and my scar is barely visible.
vasavi macherla: Wonderful experience. Everyone are so friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend wakemed cary.
Kayla: My experience was difficult to say the least. I had a baby 5 months ago at the beginning of all the covid restrictions. My mom couldn’t be there and I had a very difficult delivery. But my NURSES were everything and more. They did not leave my side. The encouraged me to keep going when my spirit was sinking, they comforted me when my body had had enough and it was time for a c section. They laughed with me and they cried with me. My delivery nurse stayed well past her shift to make sure both my son and I were safe and healthy. These women were amazing. I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without them. The deserve some major recognition.
Jennie: The nurses here are the best....so kind and knowledgeable and helpful. We had a lot of birth preferences and they were open to hearing and disussing all of them. The birthing suites are lovely and well equipped with big birthing tubs, birthing balls, lovely walk in showers...a bit like a luxury hotel room. The postpartum rooms are spacious and the nurses and techs are all eager to help and advise. IBCLC’s do rounds and are available for appointments if you are breastfeeding and need a little help and guidance. The food is actually good for hospital food and there is a large menu selection. I felt completely well cared for and looked after during both my births at WakeMed Cary. The Women’s Pavilion is a calm, quiet, welcoming place. I wouldn’t have my babies in any other hospital!
Katherine Sentes: We had a wonderful experience, the nurses made us so comfortable both during labor and after. They took their time to explain what they were doing, answer questions, and make sure we were comfortable and they never seemed rushed in their care. The anesthesiologist was great as well and the labor/delivery rooms were very comfortable for both me and my husband. I wouldn't normally leave a review for a hospital but this place was seriously amazing!
