Triangle Rock Club - Morrisville: what do users think?
Dasola Olanrewaju: Great walls and great people! I'll be a regular visitor. The staff are very nice and helpful as well
Manny Goti: Outstanding rock climbing gym! Amazing atmosphere, great staff. Can get busy, but still excellent. Highly recommend!
Shinya A: This place is great for kids and adults and there are different levels of rock walls for them to climb on. The staff does a good job making sure the kids especially are safe and have the harness on correctly. The floors are cushioned. There are two areas to climb where one of the areas has very very high rock walls. There is a pro shop that sells harnesses and climbing shoes. Parking is easy.
Ralph Chambers: We had a great time at the facility and that staff was awesome and knowledgeable. Looking forward to another outing in the near future.
Gabriel Margraf: Very big and welcoming, lots of nice people and incredible climbers!
Laura Faucette: We received a gift certificate for Christmas and it was our first experience rock climbing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time and hope to be back soon!
Ira L: I had an enjoyable afternoon climbing here. There were lots of good areas to climb for beginners like myself and I found the staff and the other patrons to be very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to anyone!
Coyote Faust: It's a nice rock climbing gym if you have the right schedule and lots of patience. If you're unlucky enough to only have mornings free, be aware that you are paying full price for half a gym. This place is a daycare until noon. At noon, when they let you access the whole facility you're paying for, they also unleash a dozen or more children to play, unattended, across the entire gym. The signage makes it seem like this would only be a summer/vacation thing, but it is year-round. They seem to have a deal with a local private school or something because this is a big, unruly group of 6 - 12 year olds who should be in school at this time. The least they could do is teach them basic rock gym etiquette or properly supervise them.I wish they could make up their mind on what kind of business they're running because they have nice facilities. If you want to climb in the Morrisville area, they're your only option.
Robert Penkal: Great training class! Excellent help by staff and a friendly community of people.
Josh Bomar: I loved it
James Taylor: Came here with my 13 year old daughter and 9 year old son. We had a blast! The staff was great!
Jacqui Kruse: Friendly staff, supporting environment, great fun!
Landen Kaye: This is honestly the best place for anything.if you want to relax have fun or do the extreme it's the place. The gym itself is amazing but the staff are on a whole other level as well as the community.ive spent so many track outs here and they have all been amazing. The cost of a membership is pretty expensive but it's Easley worth the money I love this place.the safety measures are superb and still don't really interfere with your climbing.its for all ages it really doesn't make a difference what age you are theres always a way you can do a route wheater your 4ft or 6ft.people really don't judge you. If you visit you may find yourself coming back.also bye sam you had me in tears
Brian Gonyeau: Love the facility....should be a discount for teachers who bring a number of students to climb.
Catherine Bryant: First time rock climbing, ever. Staff was friendly and available to ask questions. They offer many classes and ways to meet others. Really looking forward to become a regular to work on my climbing and meet others.
Jeff and Mary Atlas: Great place to climb, love this facility!
B Yass: Too many feral children
Kevin Pugh: My son loves it here (so do I 😉) the price is reasonable and the health benefits of climbing can’t be matched
Tim Edwards: Amazing rock climbing gym. This place has so much top roping AND bouldering for all different skill levels. I came from out of town, and I’m super impressed and also pretty challenged by the grading at this gym which is what I was looking for. Staff is really great, checking in was really easy, and first timers is under $20 which is a great value for what you get.
Ken Russell: Very enjoyable, challenging experience. Exciting yet I never felt that I was risking injury due to the safety measures taken by the helpful staff.
Matthew Riedlinger: Awesome gym with an awesome staff! I’m excited to be a new member. The walls are much taller than my home gym back in California, I love it!

Triangle Rock Club - Raleigh: what do users think?
Tristan Anderson: Blown away by some of the poor reviews. I'm a climber of 10 odd years and no one was anything but nice. I sat with the route setters at one point when I first started and they chatted with me about routes and asked my feedback as well. That said I do think the climbing grades are fairly sand bagged. I'm an outdoor V8 climber and I struggle on a lot of the V6 climbs in here. My advice is take these reviews with a grain of salt. I came out of Colorado where you could spit and hit a climbing gym in almost any direction. I've also been to gyms when I travel so I've seen a lot of them. Seems folks really have no idea what to expect from a climbing gym at all. $80 for a gym that has 3 facilities is normal. The only thing I balked at was the initiation price which I felt was pretty high hence 4 stars instead of 5. $20 for a day? Again normal. Every gym in LA is like that. You can not expect the desk personnel to teach you how to climb, it's not their job. That's what classes are for and some are likely not climbers themselves. I see a lot of people with families complaining. In my experience it's because they let their kids run all over especially under folks climbing which is dangerous for everyone. In closing I suggest folks do a bit of research before they show up, not have crazy expectation and make sure your kids are respectful. Happy climbing.
Maria Simpson: It was OK, not the best location. It smelled absolutely terrible (the other locations did not smell nearly as bad). It also seemed there was little too no AC in the rock climbing area, but the gym and lounge were 10°f cooler. This location is not as big as others either.
Rhett Leblanc: Fantastic climbing gym with the option of going to multiple other gyms in the area of the same network. Very friendly staff and climbers!
megan talbot: I'm so thrilled that I joined TRC! It's such a great workout and fun for all ages. The staff have all been super helpful and informative as well. We will be stopping by several times a week. :)
Bill Burkey: Had a great time. Enjoyed climbing and trusting my son to held me up! We were his guests and we climbed for free since it was our first time. Equipment rental was free first time. Staff were friendly and helpful!
dahiana lopez: Just joined last week and so far I've had a great experience! I'm excited to try out the classes gym classes they offer. I usually go around 9pm and love it because the crowd dies down and sometimes there's food trucks!
Tina Carico: We are enjoying Kimmy's yoga sessions tremendously. She is a wonderful and knowledgeable person.
Rachel Palermo: I love TRC! Rock climbing has changed my life. Staff are always kind and positive. Haley (Morrisville) is so kind and cheerful. I completed my lead exam with her yesterday and she was very helpful. All around- great experience.
Corey Adams: Typical 5 star reviews, facilities are clean, equipment well maintained, staff was nice. The best thing about my experience was the welcoming vibe of the entire place from staff to guest/members.Being my first time here and a long time since I did any climbing, I felt taken care of and not judged… one of the best feelings when climbing for the first time.
Maykol Varela: The staff made registering and orientation a breeze!!The climbing was incredibly challenging yet fun. I know I’ll be going back.
Jessica Ford: The staff is always so friendly. So excited to get back into climbing. Wish I lived closer so I could buy a membership
Rob Main: Had a great first visit with my young daughter in early-March 2023. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure her first experience was amazing! We'll definitely be coming back.
Tim Korkuc: Welcoming, knowledge staff, clean and well maintained facilities. 11/10 will visit again.
Hearse Music Ent: Lots of fun friendly environment!!
Sarah: This facility is unwilling to waive the start up fee for my partner, who is currently unemployed. I have tried calling and speaking to management, but they will not budge. I consider this to be inequitable and a shortsighted business decision.
Sara Hobson: Everyone had a great time, check-in was just a little dis-organized which delayed getting started. But overall a great time for the kids.
Andrew Newsome: We had a great time, but would appreciate more autobelay options!
Marjorie Brennan: I am scheduled for my first class. The front desk/staff member was helpful getting me scheduled after I had trouble checking in on line.
Joseph Amiewalan: Informative and helpful crew and enjoyable experience
cheryl siegel: At over 60 years I find TRC a fun, challenging, friendly and safe place to be, whether if it’s yoga, climbing or working out in the weight room. Glad to be a member for 10 years
Shelby Suits: Had a GREAT time! Wonderful facility & super friendly informative staff. Will definitely come back!

Progression Climbing: what do users think?
Laihung Low: 孩子的學習地方
Tim Leisman: Really enjoyed climbing here. Coolest cave feature I've seen. Grades seem somewhat inconsistent.
Elijah Blu Ricks: super friendly owner!
Mercy: Super friendly owner and staff
Alexandrea Lassiter: My son and husband received a warm welcome and had a blast! The staff help us get passes for them and the gear they needed to climb. They go weekly and it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend!
Scott Windham: Laid back. Good value. No waiting in line.
Lara B: Only bouldering here and a small exercise room with weights. The climbing paths they have are always new, challenging, and fun. Lots of variety in grades. Good vibes. I highly recommend this gym.
Heather Warren: A gem of a gym. All bouldering, really decent day pass rate and 5 or 6 routes that entertained/challenged me for 45+ minutes despite the fact that I am very much a beginner, so much range- I would go to this place again. Had an actual over hang area. Small but sweet, you should go.
Spencer Buebel: Small gym, friendly people, challenging routes. Definitely more community feel than TRC
Aleksandr Touzov: Left a blue Patagonia jacket after our climbing session; about an hour after leaving and realizing it was left behind, we called the front desk to ask about holding it until the next day. The front desk was very understanding and after pointing them to the exact cubby it was left in, we were reassured that it was located and locked away in the lost and found until we came by. However, after coming by to pick it up the following morning, it was gone. We were told that the front desk would ask management to take a look at the security recording to see who took it; however, management could not be bothered to do this and claimed the incident as a "misunderstanding". Was very disappointed with the handling of the situation, especially given the clear line of dialogue I had with the front desk in which the jacket was identified exactly and in the location it was left, yet somehow "lost" less than a day later.
DATSATOILET (Walter BIack): home
Julien Jomier: Great bouldering place. Kids classes are great. Can get quite busy.
Teddy: This is the best place to go to climb in the triangle.
Banks Dixon: Awesome indoor bouldering location!
Allison Ross: Excellent information, friendly staff, great bloudering areas! We brought our girl scouts here for their climbing adventure badge and it was much loved!
Taylor Jones: Love this gym! Give Progression a shot! It has charm and It's small enough that I can see my same friends every time. Maybe its not "world class," but for a small hometown gym its got what counts! Full of friendly people and fun routs!
alnahir marquez: Such a great experience especially because of their staff, I couldn’t find the place and they were really helpful to the point of having someone outside waiting for us. They also are very friendly to new/beginners at climbing, I’ll definitely go again for my next trip to NC.
Justin Hall: A smaller gym but a good variety of walls and good height. Only bouldering, no top roping.
Tyle Stelzig: My girlfriend and I started climbing a bit over two months ago, and we love it! Progression is the only gym we have experience with, but it's been very positive. The people are very friendly and supportive, and the routes are fun. The gym is fairly small, and it's only bouldering, but so far there have been enough routes to keep my gf and I interested and give us some variety at two visits per week. Routes are usually up for a few weeks before getting rotated out, and they usually replace a different section of wall each week.Update, August 2022: Still climbing, still loving Progression! Great setting, great people, great vibe. Still smaller than TRC, but they added some walls during the COVID shutdown, including some additional slab and a cave. Awesome gym
Charlie thee Barker: Masks are not optional.
John Hank: If you are coming here to climb, the climbing wall is good. The setting team does a great job with making sure new routes are put up each month. If you plan on working here, please do not. I worked here two years ago, but I have heard the management aspect of working here has not changed from friends working here. Management is absolutely terrible. You are not paid on time and not through an official statement. Some of the staff members working at the front desk overprice things compared to how they were listed on the website.

Triangle Rock Club - Durham: what do users think?
Jami: Great space but it's important to note that there are no auto belays on the taller walls.
Danny “dip” Rivera: Amazing variety of routes and activities, and a great spot to get in my workout
Chaska Phelps: TRC has been my favorite gym period for the past 5 years. The durham location is convenient and routes are reset regularly so there's always something new to work on
Kurtis Ackerman: Phenomenal facility! I came in on a day pass to climb boulders - I didn't get on any ropes/autobelays. Boulder grades and styles are impressively reflective of outdoor grades/styles! Not sure what outdoor climbing feels like in NC (I climb in OH/KY), but I would venture to guess it feels like what TRC has to offer. Setting feels like it fits me well as a 5.7 (+4 ape) climber. The large variety in style makes it difficult to compare grades, which can be good for an experienced climber but may be challenging for a beginner. But beginners need not fear! This is the largest climbing facility I've been to in a long while. Well staffed, well maintained, all around great experience for crushers and newbies alike. I'll be back as soon as my skin recovers!
Alexandrea Lassiter: My husband and kiddo went to the homeschooling session and got hooked 😊 The staff are great. They helped us pick out memberships and gear. Now my family goes once a week! We love this place!
Wrenn Bellamy: We were visiting from out of town and came with our kids. It's so nice it made me want to move here just to be able to climb here more often! Thanks TRC!
Zach Dones: Give thanks to the people responsible for erecting this establishment, truly a gem to the community.
Giancarlo Gonzalez: Nice climbing gym, mostly boulders though
Monica Hodge: Fascinating place! Family-friendly, offers a fully stocked weight room, yoga classes (@no additional cost), and cardio equipment as well.Staff are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in you having a great experience, whether you're an experienced climber, or a complete novice (like me)!
Ella Carter: Great friendly atmosphere with plenty of autobelays in the shorter room. The tall wall is really tall, and there is tons of bouldering. Really friendly atmosphere, and it is generally a nice place to hang out
Maria Simpson: The staff was super friendly and helpful. The entire site was clean and well kept. It didn't smell terrible like the Raleigh location. The bathrooms were very nice and well kept as well. There is a large variety of walls here as well, including 47ft walls.
Mike Olech: This is an extremely nice gym. Nice routes and nice facility. I highly recommend TRC for climbing.
Andrew Wilson: Wish they'd turn the top rope fans on in the mornings.
Connor Budziszewski: This place is huge, tons of top rope and even more bouldering.
Brian Liebenow: Love!!!
Tarundeep Singh: I took a bouldering class and it was amazing, instructor was very nice and encouraging. Would highly recommend plus it’s a great workout.
Tim Mickelsen: Fantastic rock wall climbing facility and experience!
Michael Frey: It's definitely expensive but well worth it. Fantastic facilities and even better staff.
Lauma Gailite: I would even go there to co-work from - it's that cozy and nice 😍 cool to have the automatic relays for climbing on your own, no need to have a partner 👍 and bouldering was fun. Didn't manage to try any of the group classes but I think it's really cool that your day pass includes a gym and yoga/strength group training. The staff was really friendly and I can't wait to go back
Jacob Jewell: I love all the TRC gyms. Great setting, plenty of wall angles and variety of styles. The kilter board being broken for the better part of 6 months is ridiculous though.
Erik S: I’ve been a member of Triangle Rock Club for several years and I absolutely love this place. They are always resetting routes and the staff is always really pleasant. They also offer classes and training to help you improve your overall fitness and rock climbing ability. If you’re new to climbing, beware - once you start, you might become addicted to conquering routes and getting into great shape along the way!
