Himalayan Range Nepali Restaurant: what do users think?
Michael Hunt: Insanely good. Will be back for more chicken Tikka masalaFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Andrea Wilson: Great food for the money. Complimentary pompadoms with spicy onions, papdi chaat, chicken soup, lamb curry, saag aloo, tandoori roti with butter and garlic naan all for $ 45 plus tip.The only complaint I have is that the chicken soup had a very strong clove flavor which I personally don't like. Everything else tasted great, I especially loved the chaat.Great portion size and the breads were huge, can't wait to try some more of their dishes.Went back today for lunch to try the chicken thali tray for $13.99. It came with a fluffy plain naan bread and it was very tasty.Vegetarian options: Great spot if you're vegetarian
Bonnie Thompson: Absolutely awesome food. Portions are great, prices that can't be beat. Great selection of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. The tandoori mixed grill is unbelievable.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from.
kavin stanes: Wonderful food good hospitality
Jay Balakrishnan: Nice good food with an additional tinge of turmeric.A family-run business where the wife cooks and the husband manages the counter and customers. Also, there is an additional person who is very friendly and prompt, taking orders and serving them. There is a Food Lion adjacent to this place and have seen them walking across for quick replenishment. My favorites are Aloo naan (Eat it warm)/green chutney The Chicken tikka grill (spicy), Onion Bhaji, Samosa chat, Mirchi bhaji, and Chowmein. The prices with the food quality for Indian and Indo-Chinese would make this place a good option for some of the items listed above.Though the Tandoor/Grill/Fried entrees would be their strong points, The curries/gravies would need attention.
R Vaughn: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Vegetable Samosa 1 PC, Garlic Naan, Curry, Chicken Tikka MasalaMore

Passing CS: Horrible services, ordered another chili chicken to go, but they packed cauliflower which looked like the chili chicken dish! This appears to be more like prank or trick rather than wrong order
Charlie Schmidt: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Momo, Naan, Garlic NaanMore
Tahnycia B: I give this a 2/5 because I can’t tell if the this is butter chicken soup or what ..I was very disappointed in this meal and my chicken is still pink. Maybe i didnt have the best luck but this wasn’t a meal i’d eat again.
Thom Hyde: This might be my favorite restaurant in Raleigh (maybe crazy to say, I know - but the quality of the food, cost to deliciousness ratio, and consistency is tough to beat), and certainly my favorite Indian food I've had.Not many other meals cheer me up as much as a plate with the perfect mix of gobi Manchurian, saag paneer, and extra spicy chicken Tikka masala with some roti or garlic naan ready to go.Definitely recommend checking it out for yourself!
Prasanna Negalur: Best veg restaurant in nearby area. We went here couple of time in last one month for dinner and the taste is awesome. The best dish to try is the nepali tarkari sabji. They make veg and non veg in different containers and so the veg items don’t have odd taste. Definitely recommend.Recommended dishes Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi …More
Sonia Hussain: Delicious food! Their chicken and lamb biryani, chicken dumplings, Himalayan coffee and tea are so delicious!
Mckinley Olsen: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More

Jerred Copeland: This was my first experience. I ordered online for pickup. After picking up, I was halfway home when they called me to say they forgot to give me part of my order. So why 5 stars? Because what restaurant calls someone to admit they made a mistake? We are all human. We all make mistakes. It's how we respond to those mistakes which brings out our true character.I get back to the restaurant and it's lighting and pouring rain and the owner comes outside to hand me my food through the car window. The food was incredible, best Nepali I've ever had. The people were genuine. 5 stars all day long. Highly recommend!

Ali Magine: least sanitary place in the whole triangle… don’t ruin your time by going to this nasty place… food is clearly a poorly reheat from days ago… floors are sticky as hell… Go there only for stomach bugs! pay attention to the low score certificate as you enter as well, we should have just turned around upon entrance… couldn’t go through with our meal that’s how bad this place is… shouldn’t be categorized as a restaurant… the other reviews must be fake, and definitely misled me, don’t be misled!

Kathmandu Kitchen: what do users think?
H K: We’re well traveled N Indians, with a fine palate for all foods especially Indian. We visited Kathmandu K over 4th July weekend, and were supremely disappointed. The service was dismally slow. The sauce served with the mono’s was haldi+water. And a gut wrenching chili! Imagine that. Pointing out to the owner how inappropriate that was she quickly exchanged it. The chicken that we craved for came on a sizzler, but lacked the malai flavor or the tenderness we expected for the price! The only good thing was perhaps the parantha’s which weren’t cheap either. The class of people who visited was low albeit with money. Our general recommendation - don’t waste your time coming here
Alex Holler: Amazing food. The samosa chaat is my absolute favorite anywhere. The curry can be better some days than others, but I have never had a bad meal here and will always be my go to for “Indian food”.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Samosa Chat, Chicken Curry, Chicken MO MO Classic …More
Russell Clark: Mrs.C & i enjoyed a delicious meal at Kathmandu Kitchen after a fun bike ride at Umstead St. Park. Wow! Our taste buds were overjoyed & pleased by the amazing dinner served with one cold Maharaja & Flying Horse beer to share. Worth the drive from New Bern!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ebony Franklin: The food was so delicious. I had the mushroom chicken and it did not disappoint. The service could be a lot better. When I dined in there was a mishap in the kitchen that caused the restaurant to smell. No music was playing so it made it hard to have conversations without others hearing.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Mick Thomas: We get take out from here every week or two, and it hits every time. Tiki Masala and Tandoori Chicken - can’t go wrong.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala …More
Lambodar Ray: This restaurant serves Indian cuisine with different variations and spice level. Tondoor bread is fanatic. Rice said with Rajma is supper delicious. Both friends who always explore different food options enjoyed our lunch
Beverly Brevit: Food was great. We stopped for lunch but had no lunch menu. Table beside us received a very steamy dish the spices got I to my throat and had a coughing fit. Place could use some ventilation.
goutham siddhu: Title: An Unforgettable Culinary Adventure at Kathmandu Kitchen!Review:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐My recent visit to Kathmandu Kitchen was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The restaurant's authentic Nepalese cuisine and impeccable service left a lasting impression on me.Let's start with the star of the show—the Chicken Thukpa. This traditional Nepalese noodle soup was a burst of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The tangy broth infused with aromatic spices was the perfect balance of warmth and zest. What truly made it outstanding was the addition of tender fried chicken, which soaked up the flavors of the soup and added an extra layer of deliciousness. Each spoonful was a delightful journey that left me craving for more!Another dish that stole my heart was the Chili Chicken Momo. These bite-sized dumplings were a work of culinary art. The thin layer of dough was expertly wrapped around a succulent meat stuffing that oozed with juiciness. The balance of flavors was spot-on, with a tantalizing blend of spices that left a delightful heat lingering on my palate. It was a truly heavenly experience that showcased the chef's mastery of Nepalese cuisine.Aside from the exceptional food, the service at Kathmandu Kitchen was second to none. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to accommodate any special requests. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was exceptional, providing recommendations and answering any questions I had about the menu. The restaurant itself exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The decor beautifully captures the essence of Nepal, with vibrant colors and traditional elements that transport you to the heart of Kathmandu. Whether you're dining alone, with friends, or with family, Kathmandu Kitchen provides a comfortable space to enjoy a memorable meal.Overall, my experience at Kathmandu Kitchen was nothing short of extraordinary. The Chicken Thukpa and Chili Chicken Momo were the highlights of my meal, offering an explosion of flavors that I won't soon forget. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming ambiance make this restaurant a true gem. I highly recommend Kathmandu Kitchen to anyone seeking an authentic Nepalese culinary adventure.
Pamela Huang: I got the butter chicken and it wasn’t very good — the chicken was slimy and old tasting and the sauce itself didn’t have much flavor. I much prefer the butter chicken at tandoori trail
Lily: Really good first experience-everything was spicy as requested and very delicious! Cannot wait to try in person. Amazing palak paneer- extremely good! Tasty chili mo mo’s and good vindaloo.
Meherin Mosharaf: Disappointed! It was my first time visit there the environment was fine for dinner. If I talk about the taste it wasn't good I'll give 5/10! I ordered Veg pakora, Samosa chaat, Chicken Chow-men noodles, Butter chicken with butter naan & garlic naan. The chicken chow-men noodles tastes very bad 👎🏼 worst chow-min noodles I ever had I complained the server & returned it so she didn't charge me.The butter chicken tastes okay not that good I had better than this. Samosa chaat was okay & butter naan was the only thing I liked it was perfect but they burned the garlic naan I regret ordering that. I believe they should change the chef to serve better food service!
Andrea Wilson: My British husband and I have been dining here for about a year. Curry is now the british national dish and these curries are a close facsimile. He always goes for the lamb bhuna and I love any of the vegetarian options. We've eaten here about eight times in the last year and found that it is best to avoid any fried food. Also the soups were not to our liking. We ate here again yesterday and the curries did not meet our expectations. No idea why. We arrived early, so maybe they didn't have stuff ready? The breads did taste great. So the tandoor oven was fired up. Anyway, they only have an all day menu, so lunch is not cheap. We will continue going there for now as it is the closest to a british curry as my husband can get.
C C: Food was very delicious, service was excellent even though they were very busy. I gave them 4 stars because the bathroom floors were nasty and sticky, toilet was clean though. We’ll comeback for sure, hopefully they’ll improve in this area. Great and quick service.Recommended dishes Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori …More
Colin Rothwell: Best Indian food in NC hands down. Don’t miss the garlic cheese naan!
Seetha Arun: Very disappointing first visit.Very oily and not worth for the money. We ordered fries, crispy cauliflower which was very oily and the taste was very awful.Felt like the fries was done using reused old oil.We have to throw the food after taking our first bite.Definitely will not recommend this place.
Donald Clark: We had dinner here tonite. The service was pleasant and the food was outstanding! Chicken tika masala, butter chicken, egg plant, and momo’s for an appetizer. All was excellent!
Daniel Jacobs: First time trying this place and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious but the chicken dumplings really surprised us… they were awesome!! CheersFood: 5/5 …More
Janet: Service was friendly but unfortunately the food was very overcooked (especially the chicken and lamb in the tandoor platter we got, which were so dry you could barely bite into) plus the dumplings were almost rock hard despite how good the sauce on top was. Overall was disappointed as I expected everything would be better prepared vs what we got.
Karen Smith: Cozy atmosphere and the BEST tandoori chicken I've ever had!
Rijul Razdan: We ordered the chilli fried momos (spice level medium), thukpa (spice level medium), and tandoori chicken (spice level mild plus). I liked the side of rice and dal that helped cleanse my palette as my spice tolerance is low. Overall, if you're craving momos in the US, this is the place to go as they not only are delicious but offer multiple options as well.
