Waverly Hematology Oncology: what do users think?
Teresa Gay: My husband and I both are patients of Dr Graham. He includes our children in our care and that's greatly appreciated. We are very pleased with our care. The team did extremely well with the move to WakeMed. We love them all. I recommend them to everyone I know. They are the best.
Martha Mcarter: Highly recommend. Good experience. So greatful to be surviving and feel they really care that that continues with their help! They all explain what they are doing and put it on a level you can understand. Make me feel important and valued even though I'm somewhat older. That tends to be far too rare. Thank you.
Kathleen Paul-Flanagan: Dr. Graham is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He explains everything in great detail and he really seems to care about me as a person. Sometimes, the wait for him is long but I am okay with that because it means he's giving each patient the time they need. Every person I have encountered there has been kind, friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr. Graham to anyone who has cancer.
Lynn Sunshine: Caring, patient, great advocates before, during and after treatment.
Kathryn Gratton: Dr. Graham is a wonderful physician and an excellent oncologist. I have been a patient of his for nearly 30 years and he has always been very caring and professional, thorough, well-informed and up-to-date on the latest cancer research and treatments. I have complete trust in him. Well worth a (sometimes) long wait at my visits!
Yelena P. Francis: I am really grateful to Dr. Mark Graham for his care and advice. He is an outstanding doctor, - gifted, knowledgeable, experienced, patient, caring, - and I am a very lucky patient in this respect.
kathy goldston: The best oncology care one could EVER hope for!!!
Jennie Price: Always a positive experience with office staff and medical providers.
Barbara Robinson: Outstanding service provided as usually from all the staff members at Waverly Hematology.
Carol Hesse: Dr. Graham and his team are amazing. He provides a full service clinic with talented and caring staff. They know your name and will go out on their way to take care of you.Dr. Graham is a brilliant man who is also compassionate and kind.
Coco James: Always a fantastic experience when I have an office visit.
Natalie ONeill: I have always received wonderful care at this office. Scott at the front desk is so welcoming, Nicole was fantastic today and even gave me a warm blanket. Kevin is fabulous as well.
Valerie Reed: Dr. Graham is a great physician and he has a great staff. He is very good at explaining medical information to me in a clear and concise fashion. I really appreciate all of the hard work that Dr. Graham and his staff do.
Gene Braswell: I was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma stage 4. All my chemo treatments were in the hospital and lasted for 4 months. I was very sick and the Doctors and PA's were awesome in developing a treatment plan for me. Their staff at the office were caring, loving, and professional. They knew what you were going through and encouraged you all the time, even praying for you, which is one of the main reasons I chose Waverly Oncology. I believe God guided my Doctor's the PA's and their staff and carried me through many hours of treatment to being cancer free now for four years.I would recommend Waverly Oncology to anyone and Doctor Mark Graham an amazing oncologist that never forgets anything about his patients situations or personal stories they shared with him.May God continue to bless Waverly Oncology and their staff.
Ted Frechette: Always helpful
Adrene Neal: Dr. Graham is knowledgeable and personable. He makes sure to inform his patient with all the information needed as well as answer all our questions. I could not have chosen a better provider for my breast cancer diagnosis.
Veronica Jones: Highly recommend Waverly Hematology Oncology! The staff there goes above and beyond, very knowledgeable and always always pleasant. I was referred to them for Hematology services and during my treatments I got to experience their interactions with the Oncology patients...and if ever that were a service that I needed hands down I would fight to have my treatments done by Waverly. The compassion, kindness, but affirming and encouraging ways they communicated with the patients made my heart full...it is the epitome of what healthcare should always look like. Thank you Waverly Hematology Oncology for your excellence!
Kathy Wood: I have known Dr Graham for 24 years! When I was first diagnosed, the prognosis was REALLY bad. By the grace of God and Dr G, I am still here today! Thank you Dr Graham!!
jim phillips: Staff and Dr. Graham are wonderful and are very thorough and on top of any issues.I highly recomend them to anyone that needs treatment.
Swayzine McLean: I have been a patient at Waverly Hematology for many years. Dr. Graham and staff has always been professional, courteous, and attentive to my indiscretions. Kudos to his Medical staff and his Excellent Expertise.
Katrina Hayes: Used to have a nurse there who was good with venipuncture on me. On another visit a nurse left the tourniquet on for almost 2 minutes, didn’t have the tools at the ready and the venipuncture was unsuccessful. The head nurse had to do the stick in another arm and had no problem. This was intentional and discriminatory. I used to perform venipuncture at a plasma center so I’m aware of the protocols.

REX Hematology Oncology Associates-Cary: what do users think?
April Hunter: I absolutely loved the people and doctors.
Rhonda Bartone: The nursing staff, Susan and Rose were amazing! Highly recommend if you need an iron infusion.
Angela McNeill: I’ve been coming here since 2015 and always had a positive experience. The staff and doctors are all friendly and professional.
Lauren Jackson: Awesome place! Office staff isn't super warm but the infusion nurses are AMAZING. They make sure you are comfortable and give you snacks and drinks. I will recommend this office for anyone who needs chemo or iron infusions.
Santhosh Kumar: Be prepared for long wait time for no reason. Lack of communication. Always minimum two hours for a visit.
Betty Nightengale: The Drs are excellent but you have to be prepared to wait for the worst staff and total lack of communication among tech staff. There has obviously been a total change in procedure in last year none an improvement. To bad it was great.
Austin Dancer: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!
Kat M: My experience here wasn't that great for various reasons. Their office staff is sorely lacking. I had to call them twice to get an appointment, and then I had to call a third time because I was not emailed a confirmation and paperwork like the woman told me she would. My primary care physician had faxed and uploaded my records three times before they would even acknowledge they had them. I just got a bad feeling from the git-go and I should have followed my instincts in this case. On the day I walked into their reception area for my appointment, there were three women behind glass windows that were closed - and when I walked in, they glanced up at me through the glass but not one of them offered a greeting. They had a little sign on their window that they would call you when it was your turn or something to that effect. I had never encountered anything like this before in a medical practice. Another woman walked in a few minutes later and they ignored her, too. I met with Dr. Eisenbeis and he was pleasant and informative; however, he told me that he primarily treats stage 4 cancers with chemo and my cancer cannot be treated with chemo (as I already knew), so I did wonder why he made an appointment with me at all. He told me he'd refer me to another specialist. (I told him that I did not want to drive all the way to Chapel Hill for medical care, but four weeks later when I finally got a referral, it was from UNC in Chapel Hill !) After waiting 3 weeks for the referral, I called the nurse line of this practice and left a message about my awaited referral. The nurse left a message on my voicemail that she didn't know why I was calling. I called again (you can only leave a message) and explained WHY I was calling in more detail. The nurse called me back and referred me to the doctor who had done my first surgery at Duke Cancer Center that I was not seeing anymore. Am I joking? No - this really happened. So then, I decided that I would call another location of this practice in Raleigh, because the website stated there were doctors there who treated urologic cancers, and apparently that's a big NO-NO to these people because it caused all kinds of ridiculous drama that I did not need. A woman from Dr. Eisenbeis' office called me a few days later and chastised me for calling another location and telling them that Dr. Eisenbeis did not WANT to treat me, and I never said that to anyone. I SAID that Dr. Eisenbeis CAN'T treat me because he doesn't perform the surgical procedure I need. Finally, this woman told me that NONE of the the UNC/Rex Hematology Oncology locations have surgeons. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that once any doctor in their practice reviewed my records and saw that my cancer cannot be treated by their practice, I should have been TOLD immediately to keep looking. I'm not saying at all that these are not fantastic doctors who are excellent in their fields - but I am saying they need to completely reevaluate how they interact and communicate with patients. I have already had one cancer surgery, and all of this DRAMA was very upsetting and completely unnecessary. And while I'm sure the doctors are wonderful, from my brief experience with them, their clerical/reception/scheduling staff need A LOT more training. I have not mentioned any names here to limit any embarrassment.
Laura H. McCann: I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Rex Hematology Oncology. Staff is caring and the facilities are always well kept and clean. Dr. Sherrod is the most wonderful doctor and does everything possible to help her clients.
Cathryne Lanning: Dr Sherrod was wonderful a completely caring professional experience unlike what I'd experienced at Waverly oncology. Thank you Dr Sherrod
Steve Tedesco: Of course nobody ever wants to even think about having to see an oncologist for themselves or a loved one. Originally I was going to see the hematologist but unfortunately it didn't shake out that way long term. The facility is clean and attractive, the staff friendly and attentive. They've stuck me several times to draw blood and haven't hurt me yet (definitely a plus cause I'm a big tough total P%$$&) but I can't say enough good things about my oncologist. Dr. Sherrod was straight forward with me, she didn't sugar coat anything, she did a bone marrow biopsy in her office on my initial visit and I had the diagnosis the next day. But as straight forward and matter of fact as she has been about everything, she shows that she obviously cares about me as a person and my situation and family as well. She has gone out of her way to answer whatever question I had by the quickest means possible and has never hesitated to do anything within her power to make my situation better. If you have to go through something that requires an oncologist and I pray that nobody would, this is a great place to be a patient.

Duke Cancer Center Cary: what do users think?
Dianne Patti: Faithful and dedicated service for a complex disease. Thank you all so very much.
Leigh Sarrett: As a “Chemo buddy” to a friend who left a different practice to get a second opinion here, I am just absolutely blown away. Every single step is smooth. Every single employee is beyond kind. The doctor (Dr Wang) is excellent at explaining things in a way that is not over my head. I am just really really impressed by the care here as well as the other areas of Duke we have been to in conjunction with the Cary Cancer Center.
K A: I’ve debated posting a review for a year now. We had a horrendous and very traumatizing experience with this facility while my mothers was battling stage 4 gastric cancer. While there were some amazing people who really seemed to care, the way we were treated by infusion nurse Kathy was beyond appalling. I will not go into the details bc every time I think about how we were treated it makes me sick to my stomach but let’s just say she made a terrible situation so much worse than it ever needed to be. The issue was brought to management and it seemed they were more concerned with “keeping our business” than addressing the root cause of the problem. There were also multiple issues with prescriptions being called in wrong ( one to an entirely different state) and a lot of loud gossiping about us while my mother was receiving chemo and we were sitting right there. Extremely unprofessional behavior.Duke in general was a nightmare to deal with through our entire process and we were fortunate enough to transfer her to UNC REX where she was able to receive caring, compassionate treatment until her passing.I would highly suggest looking into other options before considering treatment at this facility. I would hate for another family to go through what we did during an already difficult time.
Emily B: This facility has many issues with scheduling, professionalism of staff, and quality of service. Fortunately was not there for cancer treatment, but would not return here for any reason.

Elkordy Maha MD: what do users think?
J G: The only pleasant thing about this doctor's office is that they are nice. What I mean by this is that on the rare occasion you can actually speak to a human being in their office, they are helpful and professional. Dr. Elkordy herself could not have handled a very difficult health challenge better than she did.The problem they have is in being able to reach a person when you have a question or a situation that needs to be addressed. I had to call many, many times if I wanted anything. You might get a call back in two or three days, or you might not.I know it must be difficult to work at a place where pretty much everyone who comes in is having the worst time of their life, and some of this is a more systemic issue with the healthcare system in this country that requires cost-cutting as the top priority everywhere (and if that hurts patient care, so be it) but this office really takes the cake. Even compared to other doctors' offices, the communication from the staff at this place is absolutely appalling.
Chris Yates: Dr. Elkordy is caring and explains things in detail. I've been very happy going to this office.
