National Spine & Pain Centers - Cary: what do users think?
d deen: Poorly operated facility, with a lazy receptionist that doesn't really care to pay attention to details when trying to correspond with your Dr. The end result is you CANT REACH ANYONE WHEN CALLING. And when they mess up your medicine they are never available to fix the issue. I'm a new client of theirs and will be changing Drs. ASAP, THERE ONLY EXCUSE IS "WE ARE UNDERSTAFFED. Or we are sorry" sick of this place.
Bradley Palmer, Realtor: Doctors here seem truly interested in doing what is best for their patients. Did not seem to be in a rush like most doctors and was able to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns.
Diane Barnes: I truly have NEVER seen anything as unprofessional as this place in my entire life. I myself am a medical professional It was an awful experience that cost me a lot of wasted time. They treated me as if I was some dope addict from the street. The md filled a prescription with the pharmacy and refused to correct it I was given 2 appts where the doc was out “sick”. Then I was told by the receptionist not even a med tech that she was giving me permission to take meds. Go somewhere else. These people r the bottom of the barrel. Find a professional and this practice is not it!!! I gave the 1 star but it does not rate that
shirley Gilchrist: My visit at the clinic was a real humbling and great experiments Dr Ju was my doctor at first I got another doctor have not met him yet but I met his assistant doctor and she was a wonderful daughter I knew her when I first got there and she's back and she listened and she understands she made me feel woman and heard you can feel the spiritual being within her and it connected with me I asked her to pray for me and she prayed with me at the end of my visit and that was so pleasant for her and I was so grateful for her to do that and I love to come again just to see her they made me feel warming at home like I knew them for years and I thank them for that God bless you all Jackie and the rest of the staff am I praying doctor thank you
Mary Rensel: The Cary Office is wonderful and the staff is Awesome.
Shelia Tinsley: The staff was very friendly, and there wasn't a long wait. Keep up the good work!
Jan Rand: Dr. Ju and his staff are caring and efficient. He’s helped me to stand up straight and walk without pain, finally. That’s after all the spine MD’s said there was nothing they could do.Thanks Dr. Ju, Jessica and Josie!
laura gallo: I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS LOCATION. THE WHOLE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND CARING. DR. JU IS THE BEST EVER! I'VE GONE THERE IN SO MUCH PAIN I CAN BARELY WALK AND AFTER THE EPIDURAL DR JU ADMINISTERED I WAS A NEW WOMAN. JOSHI IS VERY CARING AND COMPASSIONATE & ACTUALLY LISTENS. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
carole mathis: Positive results, pleasant staff, wonderful doctor, Dr Ju
Raina Noelle Smith: First off, all of the staff have all been super friendly and helpful each time I have come for a visit. Dr. Ju is also really nice, very knowledgeable, and takes pride in his work which I really appreciate. He very quickly pinpointed the source of my pain, and tested that his hypothesis was truly correct (it was). Now we are moving forward with longer term relief options, and I am excited about being mostly pain-free again with his help!
Joshua S.: The staff and doctor where knowledgeable and patient. Doctor Ju made accomodations for me when he didn't have to. They really exceeded my expectations. They all where patient and took the time to explain everything. By far, the best doctors visit ever! I would recommend them to everyone 👍🏽
Sharon Hubbard: My in office appointment was very professional and great bedside manner.I unfortunately experienced severe pain in my lower back last night and a severe headache that has lasted throughout today. It is much better now. Just a bit of lingering headache but not as severe.
Dann Burns: Great staffVery efficientWonderful results
Jamie Breedlove-Weaver: My husband was seen here for over three years. the main doctor left this location and my husband saw a nurse practitioner whose name was Mrs. Sophie. Two months ago they discharged my husband and my husband almost died and was out of work. His job has been in jeopardy. They did not offer to taper my husband off no they just stopped seeing him.. Even while he still was a patient they did not listen to his needs but only wanted to give him the treatment that they wanted him to have. They never listened to anything my husband said would help him with his pain. And my opinion this place needs to be closed and Lose its license to practice any type of medicine. Please don’t send anyone you love here because they could discharge that person and they be dead.
MrFixit USA: I'm amazed at some of te reviews here. Some make me wonder if the reviewer is just angry about every place they go.I've been treated here for 4-5 at least, through multiple doctors & multiple staff. The only bad experience I've had or seen is right after the place was purchased and went under a new ownership.During that transition phase things were a bit chaotic, but it wasn't because of the staff or doctors, they were doing the best they could. (Yes, I too had aI have witnessed however, more than once, where a patient came in the door with a nasty attitude that radiated from them to everyone in the waiting room. I've seen them start out with an attitude toward the staff, and I've seen the staff just take it and remain professional. I seen/heard these type of patients start out with a combative or "the world revolves around me attitude".I've over heard some of these patients in adjoining rooms or a hallway, very clearly (and loudly) interrupting the doctor, unwilling to even listen to what he/she is saying, & displaying demanding, entitled attitudes, and the moment they meet any hesitation to meet their demands, I've seen/heard them go into the "offended" victim mode, and I've gotten the strong impression that they were going to be very vocal to everyone they know, everyone that would listen, about "how horribly they were treated".I haven't witnessed this kind of behavior at this place for a good while now, so I'm thinking maybe a majority of those patients have moved on when they weren't able to dictate their own treatment, and their displays were met by Dr Ju's, no-nonsense, "I refuse to break the rules and put you at risk by caving to your demands" demeanor.I've also personally, firsthand, had situations where I didn't understand something, or had questions about potential treatment & didn't have all the information, or even questioned Dr Ju's decision/treatment/procedure. Never one time did he react the way some of these reviews suggest.Even in those times I was questioning, not understanding, or in painful frustration, I tried to show him/them the same type of respect I prefer to receive myself.EVERY ONE of those times, Dr Ju was willing to listen AND CONSIDER what I had to say, ask, question or explain. He truly wanted to understand my concerns, questions, conditions and needs. He was willing to explain his thoughts, reasoning, decisions & treatments. With both of us being willing to ask questions, RESPECTFULLY confront misunderstandings or confusion.... with both of us willing to explain our thought process and reasons, we've been able to understand boast his treatments & reasons AND my conditions, concerns & needs much better. That has resulted in finding FAR better medications and solutions for my specific needs. Quite frankly, it's resulted in the best pain management I've ever had.I realize no one is perfect, everyone can have a bad day or whatever. I realize that sometimes a patient doesn't get what they expected or deserved.I acknowledge that some of the negative reviews may be 100% legit. I know I've certainly experienced some very poor service & treatment at OTHER pain centers/doctors. So I know firsthand it can happen, & what it's like.(especially if you have to change doctors/locations and all they look at is the medication you're seeking refilled, with no knowledge of your conditions, treatment history, what's been tried & failed, etc. and they treat you as if you're just another junkie trying to get pills for your next buzz or quick cash...)Yes, I understand that stuff happens, patients do encounter such nonsense....But I've never encountered that with Dr Ju, I've never seen/heard anyone else treated that way by him, or his staff. In fact, I've personally experienced the exact opposite. So yes I do recommend this center & doctors. I also recommend people listen to the doctor, ask questions, show the respect you want to receive, and realize/trust his decisions are in your best interest.
R H: Dr Ju and the staff were amazing. They were incredibly friendly and prompt. Dr Ju spent about 45 minutes with me teaching and developing a plan to help manage my chronic lower back pain. I can’t recommend the team at National Spine and Pain in Cary enough.
Edna Bunn: I highly recommend Dr Ju and his assistant at the National Spine & Back Center. He thoroughly went over my file, the procedure and what to expect the outcome to be. I filled my pain prescription, but never had to take the first one. Dr Ju is my hero!!!
JJW: No social distancing in a tiny waiting room with 5 strangers. Chairs and other surfaces also not cleaned between patients. Physician busted into the room where the nurse was taking my vitals to yell at me bc I had cancelled an extremely invasive procedure after not being able to reach the office on the phone or website to ask questions about it. Male physician yelled at me in front of the nurse and she left the room. The door shut, he continued to act unprofessionally and I walked out bc there’s no point in arguing with gaslighting.Editing to add that I attempted to contact theirHQ in Rockville, Maryland to report my problems with this physician because they certainly should know how he is treating patients. Clearly they don’t care as I never received a return call. This is a chain of practices that I will steer very clear of.
Heather Marie Cruz: I have very mixed feelings about my experience with Dr. Ju and his staff. First of all, his nurse/medical assistant Jessica is wonderful. She's really nice, as is the receptionist. Dr. Ju is friendly and jokes around. However, he refused to prescribe the only pain medication that helps my pain. He gave me two possible diagnoses, neither of which explain my lower back pain. He wanted to increase my Lyrica, but would not let me get the prescription until several weeks later. He literally put a stop on it at the pharmacy. I needed to be able to start the increased dosage to give it enough time to know if it was going to work. My pain is intermittent and my next appointment was several weeks later. He also wanted to have me start Topamax at the same time as the increased Lyrica. How would I know which one was working then?? When I expressed concern about the possible side effects of the Topamax, he told me he wasn't sure how high the risk was and told me if I was concerned enough " I can Google it.". I was shocked. I tried emailing him with a few questions I had a few days after my last appointment. I had to send it to the receptionist. She got back to me with an email that frankly did not make much sense. I had to call and talk to a medical assistant. She still was not able to explain why he wouldn't let me increase the Lyrica sooner and I was frustrated. Not to mention I was about to run out of the Lyrica before he would let me get it at the pharmacy. I ended up cancelling my third appointment and I'll be going to a different doctor. Think long and hard before going to this doctor with chronic pain. Oh and yeah - I had to wait TWO AND A HALF HOURS to see the doctor. When I was seen, I really felt he was rushing because he said his staff was getting ready to leave for the day.
Aprile Milazzo: Very informative and caring staff. Takes the time to explain procedures and other options that might help you.
Eileen Banks: Front desk reception friendly. Dr. assistant friendly, took down what was said listening carefully. Dr. explained how he could help my pain with medication , exercise. Asked that a x-ray be done. Did change the medication that was causing side effects. Was a good visit.

Wake Spine & Pain Specialists: Kildaire Park: what do users think?
Ed Kennedy: The entire staff is awesome, from the PARs to the MAs ...everyone, especially Julia Markie. You can't get better help/care no matter what you try! I recommend this office to everyone I know that needs pain care
Jim B: If going to a spine & pain facility can be somewhat fun, this was the ticket. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions with both Dr Hertzberg and the entire staff. All were comforting, knowledgeable, great listeners, and excellent in providing the care and direction that I needed. And I so appreciated the bubbly personalities. During my procedure, every single "move" was explained along the way. The confidence exhibited and direction provided by everyone was deeply appreciated and lifted me immensely. I left the facility knowing that this was the right decision for my treatment and felt like I have added even more friends to my already stacked medical lineup of buds!
Nicole Atkinson: Wonderful place & Wonderful people nurses & doctors & staff I highly recommend
Valina Glenn: This is a great practice to go to. Everyone there are very kind and courteous. The doctor's listen to your needs. It is handicap accessible. And I did not have to wait long to be seen by my physician.
Erik Bohorquez: When I walked in this morning, Kiersten was working by herself and working by herself as someone had called out. I was a transfer from the Garner location and even though she was busy she was still nicer than the front staff at the wake spine and pain garner location. There is only one number to call and then you have to ask to get transferred to the appropriate office and the app they use (Healow) hardly works most of the time. I missed an appt due to illness and didn’t realize how hard it would be to get rebooked so luckily the triage nurse at Garner by the name of Morgan was able to check my providers schedule to see what was available as well as the surrounding area. I don’t want to call it lazy but it just doesn’t seem that difficult to do outbound calls to inform patients of cancellations and the Garner front staff wanted me to check back in around five pm each day even though they said cancellations happen around 9am. While they were explaining this to me a cancellation occurred that they didn’t even tell me about while I was standing in front of them. I had to email my provider and that was when Morgan called me back to let me know that at 2:55 pm while I was still in the Garner location that the cancellation had occurred. The front staff was more concerned about explaining the process then to just take a moment to check their schedule. My provider at the Cary location was named Julia. She provided the same meticulous service I’ve been receiving from Amy for the last year. I had a poor experience at the wake forest rd location so was hesistant to switch providers but the Cary office is closer to my job and is more convenient. Thank you for treating me like a real person and for quickly changing my prescription from one CVS location to the other.
Anne Gikonyo: I was nervous about appt. No diagnosis but lots of pain. PA Himanshu Kenjale was excellent! Explained illness & options. Bahut Achchha!
Alice Harris: Everyone in the office was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable! I highly recommend this practice to anyone who needs their service!
Flora Mason: Great service great staff had great results
Marcie Knittel: The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Very thorough. I really liked Dr. Hertzberg and trusted him immediately. He took the time to explain everything.
Sherry Horowitz: Julia is wonderful! She always listens, remembers details, and strives to help me manage my pain.
Jibran Qayumi: Dr. Hertzberg, Julia and Himanshu are extremely professional and caring providers and would highly recommend them to any of my friends or family.
Donna O'Brian: Extra helpful as I am handicapped.
ThatSteelerChic Knowles: Very Friendly and Professional Staff..From the Front Desk to the Doctor and MA
LD Brown: Not very nice especially front desk Kildare office so rude
Linda Polsin: Everything about my appointment was surprisingly easy. Staff and PA where great.
Craig Crisp: This place is a ripoff! My Orhtopedic Dr had already diagnosed my problem and recommended steroid injection to the spine. Inhad to pay this facility $149 just to discuss the process of injection which I already knew. Didn't even get the injection this visit as advised by original Dr. Ended up going elsewhere. Stay away from these ripoff artists.
Mike splash: I went to this practice in the hope that they would help me with my debilitating pain that I'm experiencing through out my spine. In my opinion the physician I seen had a condescending and mocking attitude toward my issue to the point I had to get up and leave. He tried to assure me to stay in which I did just to hear what he wanted to say. He did give a treatment plan but I don't feel comfortable staying with this practice after the first impression I had. Very Unprofessional in my opinion. I still have to deal with this debilitating pain until I find a more sympathetic and compassionate practice who listens to their patients concerns and needs . I will not return.
Wendi Thomas: I have been going to them for years and I absolutely love them. The staff are always so nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend them if you need good pain relief.
Arlene Ash: I have been going to Wake Spine and Pain a long time. Every time I go my experience has been fantastic. The front staff Colleen, Roxy and their entire team are awesome, patient, respectful, answer and explain everything. Dr Hertsberg has been wonderful and caring every time I have a procedure. I thank you so much.
Mike Hadgraft: Colleen, Roxy, and the rest of the WSPS team time and time again have shown the greatest care from the moment I walk in, to the moment I check out. Would recommend this location to anyone going through any spinal pain!
Michele Mirabelle: They are amazing, the front desk amazing never meet nicer woman so polite and sweet. The Drs and nurses are very sweet and actually listen to you when you talk about the problems they don’t just brush you off, like most people have done in the past. I have suffered with disability of severe neck and back injuries for 22years have been told surgery would just put me in a wheelchair sooner and there is nothing I can do from past drs. I came here a year ago and with in 6months they figure out a way to help and been pain free for almost a year with the nerve blockers, have to redo them next month which I’m excited about to know the relief is just around the corner

Pain Management of Cary: what do users think?
James Cotton: I’ve never been here but I thank them for doing there job if I can give you 34 stars I would. I live in pain every day up until 4 years ago when I found this doctor in Raleigh that doesn’t believe in pain Meds. I was happy about my new adventure. After 1 treatment the pain stop. I had been in pain for 2 years straight and I got tired of covering up with pain meds so thank you office for doing your job. I can see those who have cancer getting there meds but the ones with back pain my back would hurt too if All I did all day was pop pills and sit down.
David Svaldi: What a joke first Jessica gustos is worthless 3 visits in and still let’s setup an appointment next month wow it’s only chronic pancreatic cancer but sure stall me yet again. And then let’s talk about the receptionist so a personal call but my mistake I thought it would have been her job to even check me in wish I had her job which it nothing so back to find a new care management team again so sick of this
Bellagirl2288: I used to see Dr. Corrigan, but I, like most people who have reviewed this practice, got tired of being treated like I was a drug addict. I have lived with chronic pain for 20 years. I have 5 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and my spine and hips are loaded with arthritis. It's so sad that due to the "real drug addicts" those of us who truly are in horrible pain have to pay for what they're doing. I've had every kind of spinal injection available and nothing helps my pain. I highly recommend Wake Spine and Pain in Raleigh. They are excellent, empathetic and staff and all doctors are fabulous!
Robin Levine: Dr Christie was great. ... jessica bustos... is not.. Dr. Christie moved and the care by remaining practitioners is borderline malpractice. Bustos likes to feel smarter than you and makes sure you know it. She is cold and loves to hear her own voice..
Cynthia B: I had seen a NP at this practice once, and when I had to reschedule my next appointment, I called this office over 15 times in a matter of 2 weeks and left many voicemails, only to never receive a call back. I was referred to this office due to new opioid prescribing protocols of my (now former) doctors office, however due to them "ghosting" me, was forced to go off a strong pain medication cold turkey. I have never been a drug seeker, was completely open to any and all recommendations, however was treated like I was invisible to this office. They have been reported to the NC Board of Medicine per suggestion of attorney.
Bil Cook: does not give the option for zero stars. Pain mismanagement is a better name for this place. Used to be a decent practice, but all the good people have left, leaving only pill rollers who could care less about the patient. Would not send my worst enemy here
Geona Brander: Horrible.
Rachelle Rockwell: If Google would allow me to give zero stars I would. This office has no concern with their patients health, and even after almost 5 years as an established patient here, I call the office and basically get "I don't care". I'm tired of feeling like they don't even understand what it's like to live with chronic pain and a chronic health condition. I refuse to continue with hold up my end of their stupid contract and I can't even get an appointment or medication. I'm done and I wouldnot recommended this office to anyone.
Pain Refugee: I never got to see a doctor there, and got stuck with an NP that had more concern for her prescribing practices (or lack thereof) than for control of my pain or well-being. Horrible, horrible.Hey people - we are not addicts. Get over it.
Marry Hogins: Horrific Bald Headed. DOCTORRUTHLESS,DISCRIMINITAVE,THAT DOCTOR.ALONG WITH THAT PUDGY,SLOPPY. DISPOSITION HAVING TERRIBLENURSE.
Crystal: Dr. Christie is an excellent doctor. He's kind, soft-spoken and he really knows his stuff. I would recommend anyone to go see him if they are in chronic pain. The nurse practitioner there - I would highly recommend that you stay away from. She's snooty, cold, she interrupts, and she treated my husband like he was some pill-popper from the streets. We had no choice but to see her for my husbands first visit. He needs an injection in his back, and his specialist wanted to charge him a surgical fee for the injection - so we decided to go to the pain management clinic for the injection since they charge differently.Instead, she accused him of being a doctor-hopper by saying "Now, I'm not implying that you are, but it isn't good when you doctor-hop." and instead of letting me explain why we were there, she rolled her eyes when I started talking and then talked over me. She made sure to point out all the medications my husband has been prescribed, she made sure to give complete disregard in how a certain medication made him feel and that he couldn't take it and function during the day.By the time we left the appointment, he was super agitated and upset. I was mad, and I will make sure that when we see Dr. Christie next month that he knows and understands that woman better never come within ten feet of me again.

Cypress Spinal Intervention, Headache & Pelvic Pain: what do users think?
Shannon Maynor: Edit: they will not automatically reimburse you for the overage they collect from you at your appointment. You have to call to request it. To answer the response from the office, telling me to stop most of my medications and to take Excedrin migraine as a chronic migraineur tells me and should tell others that this doctor is not up-to-date on how to treat migraines effectively. He even tried to tell me that a medication I was taking caused an increased chance of cancer when, in fact, it helps to prevent certain cancers.
Sheree Goettman: Who tests for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever? Dr Li found the cause of my headaches, muscle weakness and exhaustion. Thankfully, it was a new infection and treated quickly. He always listens carefully to diagnose and treat you properly for the best outcome. His staff are very kind and efficient, courteous beyond belief. Thank you Dr Li.
Julie H: I've had chronic pain for 20 years and migraines since childhood. I finally found a doctor that helped me manage it all, and then he retired, but fortunately, he recommended Dr. Li! I really appreciate his thoughtful approach to different diagnosis and treatment options. He genuinely cares to help me find solutions and understands my frustrations. He has seamlessly continued to manage my migraines which significantly improves my quality of life, and with 2 young children, I am so grateful for this. He is continuing to look into different underlying issues that may be causing my chronic pain, and after 20 years of all sorts of doctors and specialists giving up, he has had one of the most persevering attitudes I've ever encountered. His staff is so friendly, welcoming, and caring.
SilveryKit: I have dealt with chronic and debilitating headaches since I was seven years old, and I'm 25 now. I have gone through many different doctors and treatments over the years with no success, but Doctor Li was the first to properly diagnose me with a condition I'd never heard of and then successfully treat it! He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he does, and thanks to him I can finally start living life without having to deal with constant pain!
Kelly Hawks: My 74 year old father suffered debilitating headaches for over a year and was treated with medications, nerve block injections and physical therapy and pain meds at several different doctors with no relief. Dr. Li correctly diagnosed and treated him on the second visit after reviewing all the imaging and administered trigger point and acupuncture and by morning my Dads head pain was no more. I highly recommend Dr. Li, he is very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. We are so happy we found Dr Li, my dad has his life back.
April Hamilton: I suffered from back pain and leg pain for years. I saw multiple doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and surgeons and none could give me any relief whatsoever, or even an answer as to what was wrong. After a 10 minute exam with Dr. Li, he diagnosed my problem, gave me an injection to treat that problem, and had me feeling better THE NEXT DAY. I was poised for surgery before meeting Dr. Li but he proved that it was not needed. I could not be more appreciative.
Elizabeth Brose: I highly recommend Dr. Li. On my first visit, he was able to sort through my complicated medical history and find the source of my worst pain and came up with a plan of action to continue helping me. His treatments have already eased my pain. I look forward to working with him further!
Karen Wade: I was referred to Cypress Spinal Intervention, Dr. LI, by a local surgeon. I was having Extreme pain in hip and left leg, resulting in the use of cane and even brief time in wheelchair. I'm 54yrs young. Dr. LI and his staff have been GREAT!! Dr. LI Listened to me and with his expertise, care, and determination has caused my pain to go from Extreme pain to No pain or very mimial. HIGHLY Recommend!!
Brittanie Goldsmith: I’ve suffered from bi-weekly generational migraines my entire life - most recently started having some really scary symptoms where I would forget how to write my name/speak properly and couldn’t see straight. Dr. Li did some tests to get to the root of the problem and actually took my dosage down from a medication that had been previously prescribed to me for treatment. After testing came back normal we settled on the lowest dose possible of a preventative migraine medication and I have been migraine free for more than a month now!
Jan Hebel: Dr. Li is really the first doctor in decades that listened to my issues and started me on a path to living migraine free. He is treating the cause, not overmedicating me with drugs that take away pain temporarily but contribute to the problem in the long run. I am convinced he really cares about his patients.
Akhil Sharma: Dr Li was very patient and listened to my experience. He was also able to help out with the pain and suggested long term changes in physical activity..The staff was also extremely helpful and pleasant!
luv4all: I was referred here from a retiring neurologist. Upon my second appointment, things went sour when I was only trying to explain my history. He was very rude! It was an issue for me to say I had migraines and headaches that I have suffered from since childhood. I was accused of being there just to seek medication. I think a class on bed side manners could do some good. Please show more compassion for your patients. The staff seemed pretty friendly.
Ashley McAdams: Dr. Li is amazing!! I was having a lot of pelvic pain when I was referred to him. After almost 6 weeks of no relief and a number of dead ends I was lucky enough to get his information from my urogynecologist. He saw me same day and made me a priority. Finally I was able to get some relief. And his staff is amazing!! I highly recommend Dr. Li!! He has been a game changer on my journey to health.
Ashely M: When I first came to see Dr Li I was in really bad shape but he listened to me and was able to get me feeling better with the right lifestyle changes and medication and I’m thankful for him and his staff.
C Parker: My husband was diagnosed 4+ years ago with dementia. At the time he was seen by a neurologist, neuropsychologist and a sleep neurologist. All of which, said dementia and moved on from there with medication. Dr Li was referred to us for back pain which my husband was experiencing. Dr Li ordered some X-rays and MRI's for the pain but, also took the time to review past MRIs and Scans. He diagnosed him with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (HPI), a treatable form of dementia. My husband has suffered 4+ years with a condition that could have been treated. Dr Li was able to observe his behavior and from there review previous scans to diagnose him correctly. He said it was a two step process starting with a Lumbar Puncture to determine if draining the fluid off his brain would help. The result was miraculous. It was as if the last 4 years of struggling and watching him go downhill just disappeared. The second step was to have a shunt put in his brain to drain the fluid. We moved quickly to schedule that and he received the shunt a week ago. My husband who is 84 has issues with anesthesia and we knew this would be a slow process because of those issues. Had this been properly diagnosed 4+ years ago, this probably wouldn't have been so much of an issue. Dr Li was the only doctor that looked past his age and actually took the time to review all the scans, observe the symptoms and do a proper diagnosis. I would highly recommend Dr Li. As I stated above, we went to see him for back pain but, he took the time to do an overall assessment and give us hope.
Amanda Baker: I have had chronic pain since I was 10 years old. The past 5-6 years it has only gotten worse, to where my neck/shoulder pain and headaches were really affecting my mood, sleep, and day to day life. Dr. Li was the first doctor that I felt like truly listened to my pain issues and ALL THE DIFFERENT THINGS I've tried for relief these past 19 years. He didn't suggest the same things I've already tried like most doctors do, but was willing to go a totally different route since I said those other interventions had not been effective for me. It only took two visits for him to give me almost complete relief. By the third visit, it was the most pain-free I can ever remember being. He listens, he cares, & he actually wants to help - and is willing to put in the work to find a solution that works for you. They also are typically able to get you in the office very quickly. The whole staff is fantastic. Highly, highly recommend!
Cynthia Eagleton: I’ve just seen Dr. Li for my second consult and must say that I’m very pleased with his patient care and concerns. He also offers timely appointments. Very friendly atmosphere. Would recommend him.
Danielle L: I was able to get a same day appointment for severe back pain. Dr. Li is very knowledgeable and thorough. He doesn’t just provide pain meds he looks for non invasive treatments. I’ve gotten a shot in my back and I was experiencing hip pain suddenly and he worked me in. Got an X-ray and another steroid shot in my hip. I’m doing so much better. Thanks to Dr. Li and his staff my pain has downsized tremendously.
page kasikantiris: I highly highly recommend Dr. Li he truly cares for his patients! He is thoughtful, kind, extremely knowledgeable! I have been suffering with headaches/neck and shoulder pain for over 3 years. Dr. Li diagnosed me correctly on the first visit. In just three appointments I can say I have my quality of life back! If you have questions Dr Li responds almost immediately so you don’t have to suffer more than you already are! Do not hesitate to go see Dr Li and his staff! I am forever grateful!!!!!
Chris Hinkleman: I'm the type that feels bad for write bad reviews, so I usually never write them, but this was probably one of the worst doctors appointments I've ever had. From the debate over the insurance payment, to instead of helping me find answers for why I have constant headaches, spending the entire time having to defend why I'm there. The response I finally got was "some people are just born to have headaches, sometimes there is no reason". At least the nurse and receptionist were friendly.

Flexogenix® Cary/Raleigh: what do users think?
Leigh Elliott: I am not through all my recommend treatments at Flexogenix but my knee is already feeling much better. I have been to the clinic three times and each time I have gotten right in. All the people I have encountered at the clinic are top notch. I highly recommend this clinic if you are having knee pain. I was beginning to think I was going to have to live with this knee pain for the rest of my life but not anymore! I've been given a new lease on life. Thank you so much!
Amy Campbell: Excellent experience and outcome @ Flexogenix in Charlotte! Not only is my knee pain free, I have no headache from the painful process of filing my insurance claim since BCBS doesn't cover these injections. Sejal Mankad in the billing department is incredibly helpful and even redid my claim forms so that I would get the out-of-network credit. I highly recommend Flexogenix not only for help in relieving the physical pain of my knee, assisting with the pain of insurance companies!
Denise Mitchell: Our family is glad that Momma (Eula Mitchell) was helped at Flexogenix. This was a wonderful nonsurgical option for knee pain, and a great beginning to a healing experience starting with Dr. Howard. He was masterful and compassionate. The same goes for his staff - Chris, the nurses, the technicians, and the secretarial staff.
Tanita Eakins: Great service great people clean environment
bajajudy: Very happy that my chiropractor recommended Flexogenix. I had pain for 2 years and with the help of Dr. Howard and his team it subsided 2 weeks after treatment. It's been a couple of months now and still doing well. Thank you science!

Teresa Hess: Dr. Howard and the entire staff are thorough and caring professionals. They have such a wide variety of nonsurgical options, which as a PT I appreciate. They bring cost effective progressive resources to the public that many people are many times unaware of and/or had not had access to previously. We are truly fortunate to have one of the very best in regenerative medicine in this area. With much appreciation!
Brenda Richardson: Received treatment to my right knee about 5m ago and doing well. I am staving off a knee replacement as long as possible. Happy with results.
Ayesha Holloman: my experience with flexogenix was smooth and painless, professional staff caring and considerate.Dr Wilson, was very good with with the procedure quick and painless.
Jackie Swartz: I had a wonderful experience with the receptionist and the nurses and all the doctors are very nice and friendly. I've been there 3 times and it was the same thing every time. I love the place ❤️
Zula Brown: Always professional and caring for patient care.
Chris Bird: I have been with Flexogenix since 2016, started in Charlotte N.C. Upon moving I been with the Cary office for One year. First anyone experiencing joint pain needs to give this clinic a try. With osteoarthritis in my knees I realized my knee pain was getting worse and sitting for long periods in the car caused my knees to ache. The injectionsthey use aer not harmful to the body tissue around the knee joint. I take the 5 series injection over 5 weeks and my joints feel like new. Best of all the Injections last me for 6-8 months so I go 2x year. The office staff are professional and friendly. They listen, they care and get results.Cary/Raleigh office keep up the good work!!Respectfully,C. Bird
Kosmoth 19: There were a few things going on with my right knee and after looking at my x-rays the doctor there was able to explain to me in easy to understand layman's terms what was going on with my right knee and right leg in general and what could be done to correct it and then set up a treatment schedule. My only disappointment was that they were not in network with my insurance so I will have to pay a little more out of pocket but the charges sounded reasonable and they offered a payment plan if I chose to go that route. Overall I had a good experience there.
Tom Jordan: Great experience, friendly and courteous and knowledgeable
Muddy Water: Ever time I go get treatment at flexogenix I leave feeling better they are good people if you suffer with bad knees please give them a try I promise you will be glad you did and no I didn't get paid to say this it is from the heart. They are good on other things to.
John Yalch: An exceptionally well run service that provides a viable alternative to surgery for those suffering from joint pain. My knees feel so much better. I’m walking 18 holes of golf pain free.
Catherine Davis: Before I went to Flexogenix a year ago, my left knee was at an 8 pain level. Every step was almost unbearable. After the first series of treatments, my pain level has dropped down to 2 and on good days a 1. Keeping up with the treatments, I’m still feeling great relief from the pain. I really I’m happy with the great staff & Dr. Howard. I highly recommend!
Scott Harris: I'm disappointed to write this review, but I feel the need to make people aware of this situation. I am very pleased with the treatment received by the doctor and staff as it really helped my knee pain. Unfortunately, after 2 8:00 am appointments where I was called back after waiting 45 minutes, I won't be going back. I also had another appointment that was nearly 30 minutes late. If time is not critical for you, this is the place to go. If not, find another doctor who performs similar treatment.

Primary Body Works: what do users think?
Michael Slack: I’ve had several physical jobs over my lifetime and have suffered with debilitating aches and pains. This therapy has reverse years of abuse I’ve done to my body. This amazing process is better than the pills and needles of traditional pain management because it actually helps fix you. Heals you. I’m thankful for the treatments I received from Tony, Tina and Jon. Thank you. I’m back in the game!
Jennie Kowaleski: Have visited this establishment for some shoulder pain. They are very easy to work with and flexible with my time. The team is very knowledgeable.
Tina R: Tony is caring, professional and smart. He has helped me with pain relief in my arms, leg and shoulders. I am so thankful!
Steve Mitchell: I've had multiple sessions at Primary Body Works for lower back pain, arthritis in the hands and knee, etc. I keep coming back because it works. The staff is knowledgeable and honest. If they feel that they can't help you, they'll tell you. It's an amazing technology.
Kristin Tosto: Had a horrible flare up in my wrist/hand and Sarah was awesome and squeezed me in on the schedule the same day. Dr Tyner is amazing! He is so knowledgeable and I always leave feeling 110% better than when I walked in. I cannot recommend this place enough. It truly is like magic the way the machine is able to get right at the problem areas. If you've never tried it, do it, you will not regret it!
Susan Anderson: I have had 3 sessions besides the free session and I have noticed a remarkable improvement from the 1st session, which was the free session, to today's session. My issues are extensive due to military service plus being a nurse at a prison and on my feet for 12 - 16 hour days, between this and chiropractic therapy, has worked wonders for me!!Thank you Primary Body Works for this therapy!
Brenda Hill: Dr Tyner is very knowledgeable about Releaf AWT treatments. He explained how the treatments help heal the body and relieve pain. He also offered suggestions on exercises to help make the treatments more effective. He’s very attentive to pain levels before, during and after treatment.
Paula K: Eliminated plantar fasciitis and now working on my knee pain. My results are amazing ....much better than relying on pain medication for relief.
Anne ODonnell: Have had a wonderful experience and gotten a lot of relief for my arthritis. Dr. Tyner is not only quite knowledgeable already, but he is always eager to learn more. He has researched my issues to be better able to help me, and I have received the benefit.
Steve West: This was my fourth treatment with Tina and she has been AMAZING! She really takes the time to listen to concerns and progress and never hesitates to treat additional areas that may have arisen between treatments. I would highly recommend Primary Body Works for athletes who need some extra care in specific areas.
Shayne Latino: Everyone in the clinic is truly in tune with the health and recovery of you. Very comforting to be treated by therapists and physicians with such knowledge and confidence.
Fran Brown: Great experience! Tina's work is fantastic. I can tell my body has begun some aspect of the healing process. Will continue treatment. Excellent team here!!
Amber Self: I have suffered from low back pain for twenty years due to a variety of injuries from horseback riding accidents, two car accidents and then three pregnancies and childbirths. My lifestyle factors do contribute to my back pain but can only be modified so much, such as sitting some while I am working, running errands and taking kids to and from and many days living out of the mini van!As a Naturopathic Doctor I do not want to take any pain management pharmaceuticals or have injections to manager my pain. Additionally my philosophy is to get to the root cause by address or supporting that element. I sought out numerous visits to all sorts of practitioners and received hundreds of therapies over the past twenty years and did received some relief- however, I was blown away at the education, detail and care of my sessions here at Primary Body Works. The most amazing thing is my chronic back pain is almost completely GONE naturally!! After a handful of sessions My pain scale went from an eight to a two. I am getting my life back and am able to do things at I have had to be reluctant about before. I am thrilled that I have found PBW and have been telling everyone about them. Thank you so much!
Sharon Price: I was in constant pain from extensive back surgeries. One surgery left my right side with extensive nerve damage over 3 years ago. Treatment @ Primary Body Works has done a miracle. I'm able to do things now. I'm almost pain free. I'm so thankful for this place & Tina Bruce.
Mark A Grattan Sr: I suffered severe golfers elbow which was dibilitating to the point of not being able to even pick up a coffee cup. Called Dr Mike after being referred by a friend and he was able to see me in a day or two. After explaining the condition and recommending his wave therapy we started the treatments immediately. After 4 treatments and the excercises he recommended I’m back to resuming normal activities. My on investigation of the condition suggested months of therapy. However I think the wave therapy reduced that exponentially. I played golf for the first time in 5 weeks with no pain during or after. Can’t thank Dr Mike Tyner and his staff enough.
Luis Torres: I had a accident about a year and few months ago and my bicep tendon in my shoulder was in vibrating pain at work so I came in and did a 5 session package and tell you what it took all of that pain away. Dr. Micheal also found pain in my back that is also related to my bicep tendon injury that I didn't even realize it effected my back as well. They are super friendly staff definitely made me feel like we knew each other for years! Not a lot of offices have a staff this well!
W K: I have been in pain for 3 months with an injury to my hip. By using laser therapy with my PT, I am making faster progress than expected.
Hong Nhung Pham: I have lower back pain from an injury 10 years ago as well as chronic neck pain from working on a computer all day. Dr. Tyner is very knowledgeable and was able to help relieve both of my problem areas using the shock wave therapy. I have done physical therapy and chiropractic care but SWT has been the most effective in only a few sessions. Very happy and looking forward to the remaining sessions.
Tracy Toner: I am so happy to have been introduced to Primary Body Works! My focus was the cellulite treatments. I have struggled with this since high school, no matter my age or workout/diet regimen. I have completed my first set of treatments & already seeing results! The treatments are quick & have experienced no discomfort. There is no downtime either, which I love! The staff are amazing! They are professional & warm and make you feel so comfortable.
wjj27573: Kelle always provides me with superb treatments. I feel so much better after each session. I couldn’t lift my arm up before she started my session and after just one session I have a lot more range of motion. I will be back for a subsequent treatment.
