Rick Apex: I just sold a business that had operated for the past eight years. When cleaning out office files, we had a couple dozen document boxes of folders containing employment applications from hundreds or applicants, personnel records for our own employees, client folders for hundreds of customers, and notebooks full of detailed sales data, containing customer information. We suddenly received a call last week that a new tenant wanted to lease our space that we were committed to for ten more months. On Thursday, we called PRO-SHRED of Raleigh about getting all these documents destroyed, and on Friday delivered a pickup truck full to them. I thought the price for that situation was extremely reasonable, and was so glad we connected with them in a timely manner, and that we were able to protect the privacy of our employees and partners.

I’m a teacher so I always appreciate when others show kindness, especially since we are so underpaid and undervalued for the work we do.

Tammy Blackard Cook: I would give them 5 stars because they have been generally easy to work with. However, scheduling a pick up can be tricky; they will only give you an 8-hour window of when they will get to your job. If you push, they will narrow it down to 4 hours with a call 30 minutes before. An all-day scheduling window is a bit ridiculous in 2023, and the person we scheduled with on the phone was not that kind about it.
Kellie Taborn: Shred Ace is affordable and very efficient. There were approximately 100 bankers boxes filled with old files. The technician was in and out much quicker than I anticipated with no disruption to our work day. We would definitely use them again.

For the companies that we contacted, Shred Ace had the most competitive pricing and offered on-site shredding with an over 180 gal container minimum (this is ~ around 10 bankers boxes filled).They were very responsive and easy to schedule.When they arrived, they were fast and efficient. Weston Dennis: Terrible customer service. I placed a print order at the store and confirmed with staff. The next shift canceled my order because the wrong paper was entered even though it was what I was specially told to choose earlier.
amy petro: Disappointing experience at the printing counter. There was one employee to handle numerous walkup jobs and clearly too much for one person to manage and make it a quality experience. Dialogue with customers was impersonal, rigid and hurried. Print quality was also not great with oversaturated images. Ultimately I chose to go with another store for the job.

Need to print something? she will mumble under her breath hand you a card and yell next. If you hate your job that much get a job that doesn't require talking to people or quit.

Mike L: This UPS store is so petty. Amazon for whatever reason this time decided to not give a QR code to populate a label. In order to email and print it to them they want a $1.50 “surcharge” to print the page. All the same outbound return, all requires printing a label. Just silly policy. The CVS dropoffs tend to be more reasonable.
afca42: I had an urgent shipment to get a customer back up and running. The store staff quickly figured how to get it there the next day and how to package the heavy and awkward machine part. The store was busy and they were short staffed but they stayed focused and professional the whole time without getting flustered.

Katie Shumake: Adding to the bad reviews of this store, I went to return a laptop to my workplace with a label they emailed me. When I got there and pulled up the label, I saw it was for FedEx. The person told me that they could still package it for me and then I could drop it off at FedEx. She presented it as a free-of-charge service, and it wasn't even a service I requested, it was something she offered to do, and at no point did she ever tell me how much it would cost.So I was pretty surprised when she rang me up for $24 because all she said, while picking up my laptop and carrying it away without actually giving me a chance to make a decision or even asking if I wanted the service, was, "Hey, I can box it up for you and then you'll just need to take it to FedEx." It seemed like a friendly gesture. She had no trouble telling me how much shipping would be when she thought I'd be using their shipping services, but when it was clear I wouldn't be, she decided to use shady, greedy and underhanded tactics to make a quick buck in some other way. Of note is that I was in the store with my special needs son, which she saw and took advantage of me already being in a compromised, challenging situation.Had she told me there would have been a cost, I would've declined the service, but then I wouldn't have left bad reviews and probably would've gone back because I would've appreciated the honesty.Looking through the reviews, someone else had the same experience and there are plenty of reviews of how this business overcharges customers, so I guess price gouging customers and being unethical and deceitful is just the standard business practice here. Called corporate and asked for a refund and they refused. Obviously makes you wonder in what other ways they're scamming people. They're very untrustworthy and dishonest, and I'll never come here again, nor will I visit any UPS Store.
