WakeMed Pediatric Endocrinology: what do users think?
TALIA Will Tell Ya: Dr. Henin & Staff are EXCEPTIONAL!
Mary Abbott: Excellent experience all around for my special needs child and me. Excellent and incredibly knowledgeable physician.
Kevin Stewart: My daughter had her new patient visit with Dr. Lagarde and was seen within 15 minutes of her appointment time. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful. Dr. Lagarde spent at least 20 minutes with us explaining various aspects of my daughter's concerns and possible treatment. He never made us feel like he was in a hurry and needed to move on. Great experience and I highly recommend this facility and practice.
Ayesha Kh: Dr Lagarde is my sons endocrinologist and he has been thorough, timely and very professional and answered all our questionsHighly recommend him / his office
Jill Kreacic: Dr. Lagarde is our daughter's endrochronologist at WakeMed. He's extremely knowledgeable and really cares about our daughter. We've had him as her doctor for over 5 years and have received outstanding care.
Cory Wellborn: Hunter Rogers and Dr. Henin are wonderful! I’m thankful for their knowledge and support as my family navigates DM Type 1.
Rachel Gill: Dr. Henin is an attentive, responsive doctor who is always on time, always thorough and provides a level of care above and beyond that of the typical specialist. I am so happy we found him for our son and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Cary Endocrine & Diabetes Center, P.A.: what do users think?
Rajeevkumar Kesavan Achari: I am sad that these offices are not handling the patients well. They are not releasing the lab results on time and did not give access to the patient portal even if I requested them many times. I never had such a bad experience at the other doctor's office. If the service is bad, I could refer others to this office. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
Kaley Flinchum: To those looking for an Endocrinologist,I am a T1D with Thyroid issues and have been a patient here for 7+ years. Things used to be okay, but recently (last year), you should expect the following:-waiting an hour+ past your appointment time (happened 5+ times)-different doctors/PAs each time who are not caught up on your medical records (regardless of what you request) I haven’t seen doctor Yoo once in my 7 years.-doctors/PAs who not only weren't able to help set up my diabetic pump or adjust it, but didn't even recognize the device and recommended a setting that wasn't even on the pump (YIKES!)-doctors/PAs who are not able to advise on diabetes/thyroid disease + pregnancy-The worst thing that you should expect is no answers to phone calls, I have been unable to get a refill (or response) for insulin and for a new meter for THREE WEEKS, I would hope that anyone who works at at an Endocrinology office would understand the importance of providing a refill of insulin to a Type 1 diabetic. Since I cannot eat without insulin, I had to finesse the insulin situation with my insurance and then had to buy the meter out of pocketI believe the above is due to Cary Endocrine being understaffed, I have been patiently waiting for this to be resolved for 6 months now, and since it has only gotten worse, I now have no hope of this improving, and will be leaving. If your health is important to you, I would strongly advise you to do the same.
Lori Moss: I've been at this practice many years, and love the attentiveness, kindness and unrushed time given to me by the doctors, and nurses. Ericka, the office manager, goes out of her way to handle insurance issues promptly. I highly recommend this practice. They truly care about their patients.
C.B. Dabbs: An excellent medical practice. Today I had a small problem with an invoice and the office manager, Ericka Edmundson promptly and courteously took care of it. Great service!
Jennifer Rue: I have been a patient for many years and while seeing Susan Hyde, it was flawless- impressive even. Lab techs- amazing. I’ve even kept coming to this practice despite moving 35 minutes away. Now with the mix of the move to Tryon (nice office) and her departure, I’ve had nothing but issues taking 3-5 follow-up calls each and in-person stops to get things corrected, new medicines called in to pharmacies that exist and are on my file and getting refills even after pharmacy attempts them also. I now see Dr. Yoo herself and ask prior to leaving if things have been sent in and where and am told all is fine. They sent my new medicine into a shut down Walgreens in Cary and 4 calls with no return calls back to get it corrected (thank you young lady at the desk that helped me finally!). We did my prior auth on an injectable in April (of which I had to refer the provider calling to my chart and facts to support prior auth that she didn’t catch) only to the next month have to call 3xs and stop by in person to fill out a form of my stop in for the refill of the approved auth. I’m doing what I am supposed to, following their process, and just wish those I’m paying and entrusting with my healthcare would do the same. It saddens me to think of their patients that are not advocates/on top of their health as much and the treatment they’re receiving. I’ll update this review in the coming months with my f/u to see if there is improvement. Fingers crossed.
J Turner: Having a really hard time finding a good endocrine in this area that cares not only about patient care but mental health and patient relationships. They are fine at drawing labs and prescribing meds which is easy to do. Never have any answers or solutions to symptoms I continue to have regardless of med regulation. Also if you EVER need help or question answered the nurse line doesn't ever call back. I've called everyday for a week about a medication reaction and have yet to recieve a call. Which is really dangerous. That's pretty horrible patient care if you ask me....
Lauren RKG: Very unprofessional and sent me bills for services that had not been performed/providers I did not see. Extremely difficult to get in contact with, they don't call you back or respond to anything.
Charlotte Whitmore: I have never been treated so horribly by a P.A. Tatjana Benedict, MHS, PA-C is who I saw at Cary Endocrine Center. The doctor told me she had no idea why she was seeing me and that they have no access to my records. None of that was disclosed before my visit. They never asked for records. She went on and on about all the things she couldn’t help me with. She was mean and spiteful in her tone and I walked out. I’ve never had someone in healthcare treat me so poorly.I sobbed in the car after my visit. I waited 3 months for this appointment. My doctor says my case is too hard and I needed to see an endocrinologist. But now, I have no one.
Berk Olgun: This place is a business (very poorly managed) not a doctors office. It is impossible to get someone to answer the phone. Very concerning if you have an emergency with your prescription medicine. They will shuffle you around multiple PA’s and prescribe medicine strictly off lab results since you have no consistency with the same provider.Beware of the reviews as they seem to be fabricated.
Jeff King: Friendly, efficient staff and the two different NP's I've seen have been great. Easy to talk to and really seem to care.
Lord -V-: There never answer there phones. Been phoning them for 2 days in a row and tried there different departments and no answer.
Deborah Hitchings: Dr. Yoo is truly the best! I always feel very cared for here.
Anna L: I just wanted to share Dr.Yoo always takes advantage of her church connection to cover up her bad reviews. That is a really bad practice and shameful behaviors.I can witness Dr. Yoo shared and revealed my mom's private and medical information to her church community to ask them to leave a fake reviews. This is unacceptable and gets me very furious with this office. I will go over this time but I won't if this happens again and she will meet my lawyer. My mom has an accident in this office and she never followed up with my mom. Dr. Yoo and her office never responded to the call we made over 50 times, she never made a call to care her patient when she was taken to emergency from Dr. Yoo's office. Please be aware she might look fine at first but with urgency and emergency, she always steps back and gets very defensive on her action as if she doesn't want take responsibility and not to be involved in patient care at all. This is not what Doctor is for. We didn't ask anything but wanted doctor care and she didn't.
Anon Ymous: Dr. Yoo has been wonderful to work with and it's obvious to me just how much she cares about her patients. I also really appreciate how clean the office is.
michelle dawn: Second Edit : I have had a new doctor (or nurse practitioner i think?) -Lindsey Roberts - she has totally changed my life around diabetes wise. I have never been so happy with a health care professional. She takes the time to explain things, works with me and my strengths/weaknesses, gives me advice on what to do if the changes aren't working, and was able to get me on the omnipod 5 which has been a game changer (only 2 low blood sugars the past month or so!!!) I really appreciate her compassion, and taking the time to get to know me and figure out what will work best for me, personally!EDIT as of 4/21/21 : new doctor messed up my pump settings. I was able to fix it, but that is not good. I emailed them asking about it and have not heard back yet. the other doctors/ PA's I've had here have been lovely and great as well as the staff is still very kind and considerate.***********************************Been a patient here for a while and I have to say, out of all my doctors that I have had for diabetes, this is hands down the best place. They are very responsive, dr visits are usually pretty short but attentive. I actually feel supported as a diabetic with this dr office and had not felt that way about any other endocrine office. Always have positive experiences when getting blood work. The building is also beautiful and clean! I would very much recommend them!
Sunny Lee-Valle: Thank you Dr Yoo and team.Dr Yoo is very professional and knowledgeable. Dr Yoo discovered my Thyroid issue and started a treatment plan right away. Dr. Yoo did a thyroid ultrasound and biopsy right away. She spent a lot of time explaining and making me comfortable with the treatment. Dr. Yoo is very passionate, trust worthy and understood my feelings and concerns as a patient.Thank you again your loving and professional care. I will recommend Dr Yoo to my families and friends.
Elizabeth Kim: Always detailed explanation and special care. Thank you Dr.Yoo.Professional treatments also.
Reawaken Your Brilliance By Julie Coraccio (Declutter Your Life): Dr. Yoo is one of the kindest doctors I've ever talked to. It's apparent to me that she cares about her patients!

Glinda Yeo: Dr. Yoo has been taking care of me for several years now and I could not be happier with the level of service and professionalism. Dr. Yoo actively advocates for me when dealing with insurance companies and pharmacies, making sure that I am taking the most effective medications. She also genuinely cares about my welfare and gives me honest and effective advice on diet, medications and activities.
Amy Carter: Dr. Yoo is the most compassionate doctor I have ever had. She is always there to answer any questions or concerns. She puts her patients above all else. There isn't anywhere else I would go besides Dr. Yoo's office!! Her entire staff is wonderful!!

Dr. Sung-Eun Yoo, MD. FACE: what do users think?
Deborah Hage: Beautiful place. Complete disappointment for several reasons. I waited 3 months to get in, paid $120 copay (x2) for a PA, with no more info than a Primary MD provides. I could go on, but not publicly.
Lynn Canada: Referred by primary. Convenient location. Excellent staff. Consistently a positive experience. Later 2023 moving to nearby location.
Hyunjoon D. Kim: An incredible physician who truly cares about her patients!
Ana: Dr Yoo and her staff are always super kind and professional. She is always very thorough and she addresses all my concerns. You can tell she’s very passionate about what she does.
Mirabelle: Dr. Yoo truly cares about her patients and goes out of her way so that every patient receives excellent, personal care. She made sure that every concern was addressed and I felt that she thoroughly answered every question . The staff is always warm and welcoming! Dr. Yoo is the best!
Finn Plays: This called doctors, only cares to make money, prescribing medicine, but they don't care about the patients health at all. Bad experience, not professional at all.
Anonymous: Asked to make an appointment with the endo specifically but was scheduled with a P.A. Later when I had concerns and asked for her to call me (twice) I was told she was too busy.
Jo-Ann Chandler: I have been seeing Dr. Yoo for a few years now, and all my visits have been pleasant and informative. All of Dr. Yoo's staff, from the admittance desk to the nurses who take my vitals, have always been friendly and professional. My last visit, I believe it was Scott, was especially kind and considerate. I highly recommend this practice.
sandra young: Progress...excellent
Charlene A: Dr. Yoo and her PA were educated about natural supplements and diet that aid in helping Hashimoto's. I was very impressed with the open minded attitude of both. I walked in with my Suzy Cohen, Thyroid Health book and they praised me for taking ownership of my health. They welcomed my questions and were patient as I flipped through my book to ask about specific herbs and diet changes. It's so refreshing to deal with traditional medicine when the Doctor is open to Functional Medicine ideas. I feel I have the best of both worlds. I now have this incredible Endocrinologist who will use modern drugs as and if needed and I have an amazing Functional Medicine Doctor I see in Raleigh who will do all she can to prevent drug intervention as long as possible. With both of these ladies I know I will be giving myself the best care possible for this auto immune disease. I highly recommend Dr. Sung-Eun Yoo. The entire staff and experience was wonderful from start to finish.

Summit Endocrine & Diabetes: what do users think?
Carol Boyette: Everyone has always been extremely nice and helpful. I have always had a great experience here.
Jenny lee: My name is Zheng Li and I am 58 years old women. I have health insurance.Last November, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and thyroid nodules. The doctor suggested that I go to a specialist for treatment, so I was referred to Summit Endocrine & Diabetes Clinic. After waiting for more than two months, I finally went to the clinic on February 27th. Before seeing the doctor, I asked a friend to help me write down the questions I wanted to ask because English is my second language. On the 27th, I arrived at the clinic and first paid a $40 co-pay. Then the nurse took my blood pressure, which was very high at the time. I showed him the questions I wanted to ask, but he said he couldn't answer them and that I had to wait for the doctor to come and talk to me. After 20 minutes, a female doctor came to me and stood at the door. She told me that I needed to do an ultrasound, and I had to pay for it out of my own pocket. She also told me the price. I told her that I had just had an ultrasound at Raleigh Radiology on January 18th, and I showed her the report. However, she didn't even look at the report. She then gave me a piece of paper and very impatiently told me to go and get a blood test, which I also had to pay for out of my own pocket. She didn't ask me any questions about my condition and just left without any empathy or professionalism. I was very frustrated and felt very exhausted because of my high blood pressure and hypothyroidism. I have been in the United States for 15 years and have never encountered such an unkind doctor. I dragged my tired body back home...Do not choose this clinic. They only care about money and don't care about the patients' suffering. Stay away from them.....The owner of clinic responded my review yesterday. He tried to use co-pay to cover up their poor service. It is the duty of the doctor to understand the patient's situation, problems and to treat the disease for the patient. I have never seen any doctor who does not ask about the patient's situation. (The doctor) stranded outside the door to talk to me. Especially This is first time visiting your clinic. That was horrible experience......There are many good doctors in this area I have better choices.Attached are my report. I handed them to the nurse at clinic on February 27th,2023. Everyone can see who was lying!
rhonda levy: If there was a zero rating I would give this practice that well earned number. I recommend that you run, don’t walk from this unorganized, unprofessional, and non-caring clinic. They refuse to get back to me regarding test results, do not return my phone calls and get defensive when I ask for assistance getting my records forwarded. They flat out lie about making efforts to contact me. I have never felt so uncared for by any clinic in my life. They did not get back to me regarding scheduling follow up appointments and they act like they just don’t care. It was a major effort to even get seen initially and I should have listened and acted on that red flag. Seriously, I have never written a review before, but based on my experience there I just had to for public knowledge.Just read their unprofessional responses. Unbelievable coming from a healthcare facility. Any business (especially one in the business of caring for the needs of people) with any desire to improve their processes - would show some concern. No words of concern or attempt for reconciliation were noted with all of the many many similar complaints.Perusing reviews from other clinics in the area, I noticed they had concerns from negative reviews and expressed a desire to use the feedback to improve services and better serve patients.Perhaps Summit has forgotten their public promise — the medical Hippocratic Oath “do no harm.”
Johnny Norton: Very poor services rendered... and good luck trying to get a refill filled.and then when they see this review they call and cancel your appt 3 months away... trust me when I say you will be better off any where else than here... I've been here for almost a year and had no positive results.
Taylor Holloway: I had such a difficult time scheduling an appointment I ended up having to ask the doctor who referred me for a referral to another endocrinologist. They are super unprofessional, their VM states that if you leave a message, you will get a call back within 48 hours which is absolutely not the case. When I was finally able to reach someone, they blamed me for being difficult to reach (I was legitimately calling them 2-3 times per week, sometimes more often) and no one ever answered or responded to messages. If you have the option, go elsewhere!
Priscilla James: The only reason I even give 1 star is because the medical assistant and the front desk employee were very kind and nice to work with. Right as I got into the room to be seen, I felt a strange vibe. The 2 PAs came in and just kept staring at me. They asked the same questions that the med tech asked and then left the room. Honestly it didn’t seem like they knew what they were supposed to do. The Dr. came in for 15 seconds MAYBE said the same thing my PCP said, never asked me any questions, or asked if I had any questions and then stormed out. The two PAs came back in just to continue staring at me and tell me I could leave….it was super weird. Won’t be back there!
Heidi McKinney: I was ultimately dropped from this office bc I didn't call to reschedule an appointment. I will say that was my fault. My biggest issue is there is poor communication within the office. I have a history of papillary thyroid cancer. I had my thyroid removed. My parathyroid was dissected and reimplanted, and does not function.I went in for a consultation because I was gaining weight for no reason. Without talking about any other option they prescribed me Wegovy. Luckily my GP stopped me from taking it. The number one warning is "do not take if you have a history of thyroid cancer"You'd think being an endocrinologist and having been my doctor for well over a year someone would have known "Hey-maybe we should follow the warning for this RX and not prescribe it to a patient that's had thyroid cancer"
jessica briggs: I am amazed at how fast I get a response everytime I need a new prescription or a refill or have a question. I can send a message on a Friday evening for a prescription refill and have it filled by Saturday morning. I would say that's above and beyond. All my experiences with Kelsey Frey have been great. I highly recommend Summit if you're looking for a new endocrinologist.
Nate Taylor: This office is ran so poorly. Disorganized and inefficient. They constantly make me jump through hoops to get prescription refills and their scheduling is awful. I've shown up to scheduled appointments that they've forgotten to confirm. Would not recommend.
Anthony Atti: The only thing redeeming about this place is the wonderful, patient, and polite young lady at the counter. After securing someone to watch my kids, I drove the 45 minutes to this office, I showed up within their 15 minute grace period because of an accident blocking the road in front of me, I explained this, and even though they admitted I was within the allowed 15 minutes they still denied my appointment and canceled it on me, in front of me. The Dr refused service against her own "rules" , it appear she doesnt care too much about her staff either. If you are referred here request a different place, they don't care about you here!!
Tana M: From my very first visit, I have received excellent service. Navigating COVID has been a challenge for everyone, medical practices are no exception. From the moment I was greeted by the receptionist to my interaction with the medical staff, I have experienced nothing but care and compassion with each visit. I had an issue with my insurance coverage and they worked with me to resolve the problem. In the past, it has been my experience where I would have to resolve the problem on my own. Summit Endocrine was kind enough to advocate for me. I would recommend this practice if you are in need of their services.
Stella Gaines: I wouldn't reccomend this practice to anyone! Stacie the PA is knowledgeable however the deplorable conditions of the office and the lack of professionalism and kindness from the staff overshadows Stacies care! The office is filthy and the exam tables are all ripped up with duct tape all over them! They have a regular cordless phone that they NEVER answer..ur sent to voicemail every time and u barely get a call back! Reception is rude and very unprofessional in appearance and action! The Dr clearly has zero respect for her staff, her patients or herself to run a practice like this! U can tell the element just by reading the flip responses to the negative reviews! If the pt that said this place was filthy was lieing then y no pics of the office?? This practice needs to be condemned! Very sad that this is what is considered "health care!"
Carol Mendoza: Staff is friendly and professional! Dr. Chandarana has a caring manner and takes time to answer questions. Highly recommend!
a ruz: Great medical stuff, caring and patient. Dr. Chandaramna, has been my endocrinologist for past 10 years. Recommend for everyone that needs care. Excellent doctor 👍
Amy Darracott: This is literally the worst doctors office I have ever been to from a call back and communication perspective. When you call them they are never available. If they call you and you happen to be working and not able to answer, they then send you letters instead of trying again. The medical assistants never seem to read a history before talking to you so you end up spending 5 minutes explaining why “no, that’s not the plan we made at my last appointment”. The office is more than willing to make you come in and get bloodwork every 8 weeks and then charged you over $100 for a 10 minute appointment in which you get no additional helpful information. I have been waiting for a week for a call back from a message left on 10/23 to explain why they yet again had my prescription information wrong. Still no call back and now I’m out of medication by Monday. If you try and leave the MA’s a voicemail the voicemail box is also full.Take your healthcare needs elsewhere unless you enjoy a headache. Their previous PA was wonderful and I’m very sad she is no longer there. There was also no notice sent to her patients that she had left.
Judy Bartz: It is a small office, but the Doctor and her staff are very caring and efficient.
Steve Glinka: Would not recommend.
William Thompson: Excellent first visit! Everyone from the moment I walked in until the time the visit-exam finished was wonderful! Kudos to the entire stream.
Andrea Lowman: Doctor and staff were friendly but I do not feel this office is the right match for me. I feel I was over charged for my ultrasound, but I am taking that up with my Ins Co and getting details. Not having a lab on site is a major inconvenience. The office itself seems to be dated, equipment appears to be used and/or worn out, I was weighed on a regular household scale, which by appearance seemed dirty/old as well as walls, doors, rooms, etc. It just didn't appear sterile. All in all I feel like the level of care and answers I received I could have got from my regular doctor with less inconvenience and cost.I feel like a specialist office should be a step above not below.
Barbara West: The appointments always run on time. Dr. Chandarana is very professional and has a great communication style. The office staff is a pleasure to work with.
Amanda Miazga: Love Dr. Chandarana and all her office staff! This is the first doctor I have seen to not only address, but take my symptoms seriously and treat them, not just send me off assuring me that it'll resolve on its own. I never have to wait long to be seen, and appointments are always quick and easy. Wish I could give y'all 10 stars.

Dr. Khushbu A. Chandarana, MD: what do users think?
Bhuvan Patel: I would like to present my experience at this Doctor. My A1C within 3 months went up to 11.3. Instead of digging into why should it shoot up from 7.00 to 11.3 in 3 months she recommended insulin. I didn’t accept this and continue with my previous prescription. Today my A1 C is back to normal. What we expect from an endocrinologist is in-depth evaluation and not just prescribing the ultimate medication. Also this is the only doctor who is operating with prepayment of the full amount before even seeing the doctor. The amount is per their office’s estimates and not the approved amount. I would recommend to better look for a better and creative endocrinologist otherwise you will be a permanent patient with unwanted medications.I had similar experience like some other reviewer about their payment policy and wasted 2 hours. Never recommend this hospital or doctor.
Glynis Moinet: Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Dr. Chandarana took time to answer all of my questions.
Larissa Farmer: Nothing but good things to say, staff has always been kind, never waited more than 5-10min to see the doctor. I never feel rushed out of the office and feel that the doctor fully explains and answers all my questions.
Hardik Patel: We went see the doctor and I accept we were late 10 mins for appointment, They are asking us to Pay $45 for the Late fee and wait for at least 1 hour to see the doctor. They don't declare the any policy saying that we have policy you have to pay $45. Are they care about the people or are they care about money ? As per my experience they care about the money. I never recommend this hospital or her as your doctor. They wasted my 2 hours.
Isobel Carson: Not a good experience. My A1C was 5.5 and she wanted to start me on diabetic medication immediately. My PCP said no to that and to find another endo. doctor. Don't recommend her..
aury valoy: Walked into the office for labs result after 2 weeks of wait. I was hit with a huge amt of co-insurance. I told the receptionist to run my card for 3/4 of the bill. and I will call her this week Thursday for the balance. They refuse to take my payment or for me to see the doctor. I asked to speak to the doctor. The doctor was standing about 2 ft away from the receptionist desk and Dr. refuse to speak to me. No customer service with patients. The receptionists is not a people person would not smile at all. I called my provider they told me this Dr. Office supposed to bill united health care first then send me a bill. They must bill based on fee schedule. I requested my medical records and left called my pcp was referred to another endocrinologist which is not a contractor. This office is not about the patient is all about $$$$$.
