Susan Olvera: One 12/4/17 The NC GOP on Hillsborough Street called the police on the nine minor children of Jose and Dario Delgado, their church members, and community supporters when we went to their facility to try and garner their support to stop the deportations of Jose and Dario Delgado. They locked their doors and refused to answer the phone. No one came out to speak with us. We wanted to tell them the Delgado Brothers had been in the USA for 25 years since they were children and that ICE ALLOWED THEM TO STAY - THEY WERE GRANTED PROVISIONAL STAY. Neither have a criminal record. The reason they were ordered for removal is attorney malpractice, their old attorney withdrew a critical petition. It would cost $25,000 to deport them and after deportation the families qualify for $20,000 a year in EBT - it's a fiscally negligent move to deport them. So, their kids went hoping they could speak with someone and share their stories and get some support. Instead, they called the police on children begging for help. In total, 4 officers arrived - but after they heard why we were there - they left. I am no longer a registered Republican and the behavior Monday of the NC GOP is exactly why.

They aren't pushy or imposing and just want to help you register and get involved in the political process
